Does anyone still use this thread? I've been gone awhile. Facepalm
I had some questions that I didn't really know where to post.

One question was: what are some relationship problems a couple might have that would be grounds for breaking up that don't involve abuse and preferably don't involve infidelity? Like what would make a relationship bad, excluding those things?

Although I think what I'm about to say could lead to infidelity but doesn't always lead to it, some people lose precious time spent together. Like both parties become too busy and only one of them notices it or something? Another possible reason for breaking up is insecurities. Some people feel insecure about themselves and their partners don't even notice. Sometimes one of the couple's parents causes the break up (like the mom doesn't like her son's girlfriend). Pregnancy can also cause a break up (guys being scared of the responsibility that comes with being a parent so they kind of bai on their girlfriends). I hope this helps. Cute

If you have a Tumblr, search through the writing prompt tags, I found loads of inspiration in there! Cute

I've been in a relationship for near enough 7 years, so I have lots of info for you! XD My boyfriend and I came close to breaking up a few years ago, and it had nothing to do with infidelity or abuse. He became obsessed with his playstation and totally ignored me for months. We fought about it, most of the time I'd storm out and go home, but it came to a head a few weeks later when I told him it was either me or the games console. I packed all of my things and got as far as the front door before he was calling me back to talk. It probably sounds like a stupid thing to fight about, but feeling lonely and ignored is horrible. Things like that gets built up and built up, blown out of proportion until you're both screaming at each other. Haha. Hope that helps!

Thanks guys. Smile That's given me some more material to think about. I wanted the reason for the break up to be complicated, even if it actually did end in infidelity ('cause I hadn't totally ruled that out.) I want to explore the other things that can go wrong and make a relationship bad before or instead of that point. I was also thinking maybe just lack of commitment from probably both parties, like they won't fully invest in the relationship thus it ends in bad things and failure.

Maybe they're both scared of fully committing so they try to push the other away, thinking they're just protecting themselves from getting hurt? But of course, they both think that the other doesn't want them anymore.

I actually ended up going with something very similar to that! Thanks for the suggestion! Very Happy
Ugh. I need to research STDs for a story (the same one I was asking about earlier actually) but I don't want to. It's such an uncomfortable topic, and I'm scared to google it. Facepalm

Does anyone suggest any other great sites like Mibba where I can post my work? I have two other sites where I post up my stories & I don't feel like I'm getting enough reader's attention. I really need some feedback so I know if I should continue to keep writing certain stories. Any suggestions?

Are you looking to post original fic or fan fic (or both)? Cause Archive of Our Own is great, but it's only for fan fiction. It's the only other thing I use (because I don't tend to post my original stuff online.) I've heard mixed reviews about a place called Wattpad, and I think it's mostly geared toward original fic (but I've never used it so I could be wrong!)

    Any other suggestions, guys?

If it's for fanfiction you could try fanfiction.net

Okay so after like, months of going back and forth and having heaps of ideas at once for stories, I've decided to just focus on one (Where the Wind Takes Us) and I have one that's currently on hiatus but I am going to update it slowly, like once a month or something. I don't have much of it planned out which I really should do but it's good to know that if I need a break from WTWTU, I can go to the other story (Heartlines, which is centered on Draco Malfoy). I feel good about writing one story at a time because it'll allow me to actually focus and finish it which I really should do since there's a sequel/spin-off I want to write but I'm willing to wait a few months before I post that story, idk.

I also have a few stories on the side that I've yet to begin but those can wait. If I really want to work on them, I will, but I'm not letting myself post until I've worked out outlines for those stories. That's my new motto this year XD

I've been trying to take a similar approach lately, like where I try to focus all or most of my attention on one project, and I have to say that you can't argue with the results! I don't know about you, but I get so much more written and I feel so much more confident in my writing that results from all the extra work and attention. I hope you have similar success with your writing.

(And I know how you feel juggling a bunch of projects. I just don't post often because I know I would never finish anything if I tried to post it all at the same time. XD)

Okay my bad for forgetting to reply to this only to see it months later Facepalm Working on one story definitely helps keeping me focused but I've found now once uni's started again I can't even focus on that with assignments and social life and what not. And then when I do find time, it's before an assignment due (which is when creativity hits and a new story is formed, waiting in the stories section until I decide to post it). I agree wholeheartedly with feeling confident though, like damn I feel good about what I'm writing as opposed to writing a ton of things at once and feeling frazzled or stressed out about whether the quality is good.
On another note (and as always, I tend to notice) I've been interested in a previous idea in my head and goddamn i don't want to because I ALWAYS find inspiration from looking at old ideas and I want to return to it. It's gone through its third revamp right about now and I've decided to start the story with its sequel rather than the original, which I've found is a lot more interesting to write. I'm excited to see what I can come up and how it'll go, especially since it's fan-fiction (not sure how I feel about writing 1D fic when what even is 1D these days) but I'll deal.

Oh, and I failed with only sticking with one story this year. I have one story currently active (LOL) but I have seven chilling in the story section, waiting to be written XD

Okay, so I'm writing several story series such as Tyler Carter centric, Horrorland, Jayy/Jeffree/Kellin, Prompts, and many more to come. But I'm having trouble with starting certain fics. Which sucks because a lot of stories in each series are collabs, and I feel awful for waiting so long to update them.

It's been so long since I've written anything that has no strings attached to any other story (it's not a sequel/spinoff/rewrite), and it's so strange to start fresh! But it's a really neat feeling to warm up to new characters and flesh them out from scratch. I really missed this feeling, but I'm gonna have to take my time; I don't wanna screw this up.
