    What Is a Writing Group?

A writing group is a place where a small group of writers can come together to help each other reach their writing goals. Writers can use these groups to help get/give motivation, detailed feedback, advice and encouragement.

    How It Works?

If you'd like to start a writing group, create a thread. In your first post, be sure to express to your group members what is expected of them (if there are minimum participation requirements, if the group only focuses on a certain genre/type/rating, any rules/regulations you may like to set up, etc.). Once you're group is formed and your thread is up, you can get started.

    Writing Group Rules
    • Writing groups that are inactive for 30 days or more will be locked and then deleted.*
    • No user can host more than 2 writing groups. (You can, however, join as many writing groups as you want, as long as it's okay with your group-members.)
    • How each group runs is up to that specific writing group's members.
    • If you're looking for group members or you're looking for a writing group to join, post in the Writing Group Recruits and Requests thread.
    * Also, if you create a writing group and don't acquire members within a week, the writing group will be locked and deleted.
    Guidelines
    (Just suggestions.)
    • In the first post...
      • include any rules/regulation
      • include any genre/rating/type restrictions
    • In your thread's description, let other users know if you're accepting more members.
    • Each group should decide how they're going to work and let members know what's expected of them.
