Fate shook her head softly, then took his hand. "I've been around a while, but I know what a handshake is," she said as they shook hands. "I didn't think a shake was required though, honestly. I apologize for my rudeness," she murmured dryly.

Death's brow rose, "Rudeness?" He stated, "Blondie, that wasn't rudeness." He shook his head, "So where do you want to start? I can tell you right now, those three won't go down without a fight."

"Take your pick. It's between Famine, Pestilence, and War. I need to retrieve the dagger also, and pick out some objects to put their essences into as well. I'll locate them, and then instruct you on how to use the dagger I suppose... And then we go after them, one at a time. How does that sound?" She personally thought it seemed a pretty decent plan, but then again she was Fate... Not War or Death or a master of tactics.

Death frowned at her, "Dagger? You expect a dagger to kill the horsemen?" He shook his head, "And how do you plan of obtaining this weapon without alerting them? If there's a dagger there that can kill them, don't you think they'd keep a close eye on it?"

Fate sighed softly. "The dagger was the object I was telling you about earlier, that can take their office away from them," she explained. "It'll also kill them. Technically, none of us are really supposed to know about it. Except that Time is it's Keeper. You would really learn more if you talked to the rest of us you know," she gave him a pointed look. "That means I have to convince Time that I need it, which shouldn't be very hard."

Death grinned at her, "Close to Time, are ya?" Death teased, "So... when were you planning on asking him?" He asked, crossing his arms over his chest, "And I actually like my own space, thank you very much.I don't have to deal with holding a conversation."

(My dad played the first game when I was like four. I watched. And now I play and love it ^-^)

Fate made a small sound that could've been a harumph conceivably. "You'll go crazy faster that way," she told him, though it was almost gently. "If you weren't going to help, I wasn't going to bother asking. Since now I know you will, I suppose now is as good a time as any, hmm?"

"What makes you think I'm not already crazy?" He asked, knowing that it was a very viable concern, "Then lead the way, Blondie," He scrunched his nose, "But if you and Old Time-y start kissing... I'm out. Got it?"

Fate rolled her eyes. "Firstly, my hair isn't blond, it's white," she told him. She remembered a time when it had been brown, before she'd been Fate. At least her eyes had stayed blue.. Secondly," she didn't really have a defense... "Deal with it," she ended up just saying. "You're also too rational to be insane," she added as she made the portal -if it could be called that. It wasn't really something someone saw, but a thing they felt, like a little quiver on the air. "After you."

Death's brow rose once more, "Ah uh. I ain't going through there first. Do I look like a body guard to you?"Stepping forward he 'gently' shoved her first, "I don't trust you any more than you trust me, White, so you deal with it." With that he shoved her through the transport, then took a deep breath and walked in behind her.

Stepping into Time's realm was in a word... Odd. Everything looked distorted, dark and everything was in various stages of either new, middling, or old. As Death showed up shortly after her, Fate gave him an unappreciative glare. "You didn't have to push me. You weren't going to get hurt either," she told him. Then she led the way to a tower that was definitely in a stage of decay. She headed inside before Desth, leaving the door open, and headed up the creaky -if not semi new looking- stairs. At the top was a room almost like an observatory, completely made of glass. Outside was the forest they had arrived in, except for one window through which Time was peering through. He had three forms: young, middling, and old. He was now in his young form, though as he turned dark green eyes upon them, they seemed wise with age. "Hello, Time," she greeted with a faint smile. "I've come to ask a favor."

Death followed Fate through Time's world. He'd actually never been there, so it was quite the sight for him to take in. As they walked through Time's home Death's skin seemed to crawl. He didn't like being there. Didn't like how everything was just... wrong. When they finally reached Time eDeath shoved back his distaste and grinned, "Hey there, Time-y. Long time no see."

"Fate, Thanatos," Time greeted as his body shifted into his middle-aged form, a question in his eyes. He turned his gaze back to Fate. "What can I do for you, my dear?"

Without seeing any need to best around the bush, Fate said, "I've recruited Death to help me stop the apocalypse. We are going to kill the other three Horsemen, but for that, I also need to borrow the dagger you guard."

"And what will you do with the essences of the Horsemen?"

"Put them in objects and lock those objects away so they'll never see human touch."

"You already have the objects?"

"I thought any would do?"

Time smiled, shaking his head. "You should know better, Fate. Nothing is easy. As for the objects... There are actually five. Mother Nature is the bearer of one, as is War. It is said one hides in the depths of Purgatory, but the other two have been lost in history; possible heaven has one and hell the other."

Death took in Time's words and shrugged, "Well, that's that, I guess," He said turning to Fate, "Guess your plan won't work after all." He figured there was no way they could find the objects... and knew that if they did they'd probably die looking for them, "So much for you saving the world."

Death blinked, starting at Fate with his bottomless gaze, "Oh. Okay. Right. I'll just search for an object... doesn't matter that I don't know what I'm looking for." He snorted, "Honey, face it, unless we find some luck in our fate neither one of us are going to get what we want."

Time's form had shifted to that of an old man, yet still he had the same eerie eyes. "I honestly don't know... The dagger has a certain feel to it, like a hum. Maybe the objects feel the same or the dagger will lead you to them when it's close."

"Then you'll allow me to borrow the dagger?" Hope colored Fate's tone as she gave Grandfather Time a radiant smile.

"Yes, yes." His form shifted again, back to the young boy. "I shall go retrieve it. Stay here, the both of you, else you'll get lost," he said importantly, moving off down the stairs of the tower.

Death sighed, watching Time leave. He lasted about two minutes before he began wandering around, touching things, lifting them in his hands, and overall just moving around. He was curious about all the things... wondering what they were for.
