"Partners." Luke said giving Rosie a high-five. Of course they'd be partners though, really he couldn't imagine being anyone else's partner. And really he was kind of thankful that Michael and Calum were always fighting over Madeline rather than Rosie. Sure it wouldn't be a big deal if they were like that with Rosie, but he did kind of like that they weren't. Then again that might've had something to do with the fact that they all thought he whined about everything and they didn't wanna hear him whine about how they were taking his best friend or something. Or maybe they knew she'd pick him over them and well Madeline was much more likely to pick one of them over Ashton just for the hell of it even though he was her boyfriend. He didn't know, and really he supposed it didn't even matter either. "So are you guys ready then or not?" He asked looking between the four of them wondering if they'd finally figured something out or not.
Madeline smiled sweetly at Luke and nodded her head. "Yea we've figured out the whole partner thing." She said moving over to Calum. "So partner you ready to take these guys down?" She asked Calum not really sure which of the three guy would be the best partner but she supposed she was about to find out. "Let me get on your shoulders." She said pushing Calum under the water so she could climb onto his shoulders before he was coming back up and she was steadying herself. And while she got adjusted to sitting on Calum's shoulders she watched everyone else, and couldn't help but laugh a little at Mikey who sounded like he was trying to beg Ashton to carry him on his shoulders. "You two are so cute together." Madeline called over to them.

Rosie grinned. "Alright, let me get on your shoulders." She couldn't really remember a time when she and Luke weren't partners. It was sort of like this unspoken rule that the two of them always ended up partnering up. And that wasn't just during games and stuff either. They used to partner up in school for projects and things as well. Maybe it wasn't the best idea at times, they weren't always the most productive, but who really was when they were paired up with their friends? Certainly not Luke and Rosie. She supposed that that was why Mikey and Calum never fought over her like they did Madeline. They both probably realized that she was always partners with Luke. There had just never really been any exceptions to that fact.
"I hate to break it to ya, babe, but Mikey and I are like the dream team over here. Clearly we're already the winners." Ashton said, a slight grin on his face. "Let me get on your shoulders." He said. This only led to the two arguing over who got to sit on whose shoulders and so on and so fourth. "I'm not carrying you, mate. Sorry, it's just not happening." Then Mikey started begging and getting all whiny and stuff. "Now you sound like Luke." He rolled his eyes in response to his girlfriend's words, hearing the others laughing along with her. "Just let me get on your shoulders, Mikey. We're holding everything up here." But Mikey wasn't having that at all. "Maybe we wouldn't be holding everything up if you just let me get on your shoulders." He shot back. "You two are worse than an old married couple! Hurry up already!!" Calum called over. Ashton sighed, rather fed up, so he finally just gave in and went under water so that Mikey could get on his shoulders.

Luke had ducked under the water so that Rosie could climb onto his shoulders, and that was over quicker than Ashton and Michael figuring things out. Finally though Ashton had just agreed and he saw Michael getting on the others shoulders. "It's about time." He said shaking his head, those two clearly shouldn't be paired together next time because well he agreed with Calum this time around, they did bicker like an old married couple, and apparently took forever to decide anything. "And clearly you're all wrong because Rosie and I are gonna win. I mean it's so obvious that we're the best team." He told them not sure how they didn't see that he and Rosie were like perfect teammates. They'd always been perfect teammates. Sure there had been a few times in school when they probably should've went with other partners but well they hadn't, and things had still gotten done so oh well.
Madeline laughed at Ashton and Michael and their bickering before looking down at Calum. "And they think they're gonna beat us?" She said shaking her head. "You two can't even stop bickering long enough to decide who goes on who's shoulders. Clearly your team work isn't up to par with mine and Calums which means that you're gonna lose and we're gonna win." She said patting Calum on the head. Madeline didn't really have many doubt that her and Calum would make a great team and that it would very much indeed be possible to take down Ashton and Michael. Or at least she was telling herself that her and Calum could take them down.

"This would be so much easier if he'd just tell me where he was taking me." Rosie sighed as she looked through the contents of her suitcase for an outfit to wear. Luke was taking her out on a date tonight. It had been about two weeks since they'd kissed and decided to try out being a couple. This was the first real day off that the boys had had since that day actually. "What d'you think, Mads? He must've told you something. Is this too much?" She had the outfit that she was considering laid out on the bed.
"Relax, mate. It's only Rosie. I'm sure she'll love where you're taking her." Ashton could tell that Luke was nervous. It was pretty damn obvious that he was. Ashton could see why, this was like the first official date that his friend was taking Rosie out on, but it wasn't like she was some random chick that he didn't really know. Luke knew Rosie better than anyone else, he knew what she liked and what she didn't like. Ashton was sure that he wasn't going to screw this up or anything like that. "You know her better than she knows herself, I'm sure everything will be fine."

"I know," Luke said running his fingers through his hair for the millionth time that night. "I just don't wanna muck anything up because well it's Rosie," he said knowing he probably sounded stupid. But while yea he'd known Rosie his whole life and he knew her better than anyone, much like how she knew him better than anyone, it was one of those things that no matter what made him nervous. It was their first date, and yea they'd went out plenty alone before now, but none of those times had been this nerve wracking. Because if things got messed up then it was no big deal, they'd find something else. Now if things got messed up he'd feel like it was some kind of omen or something that they weren't meant to date. "Maybe I'm just thinking way too much about this," he said trying to breath and calm himself down. "Okay why don't we talk about something else so I can calm down. How about you? Do you have any plans with Madeline tonight?"
"It's sweet though that he wants to surprise you," Madeline said looking over at her friend trying to figure out what to wear. "Really he didn't tell me much, probably because he knows I'd tell you," she said laughing a little. "Ashton knows more than me, but he wouldn't tell me anything either. I think it looks nice though so I'd go with it. You might want to take a cardigan too. Just in case," she said shrugging her shoulders a little. You could never be to prepared for a date. Though as far as Luke and Rosie went Madeline was pretty sure neither of them had anything to worry about. They were made to be with one another, and so all the planning and the being nervous thing would surely pass in no time.

Rosie nodded. "I know, I just wish he could have given me some information...I don't want to be overdressed or underdressed. Either way, I'd stick out like a sore thumb." She said, frowning slightly at the thought. She knew that she was probably just overthinking things, but she couldn't really help it. This was the first official date that she and Luke were going on, it was kind of a big deal. She stared at the outfit she'd laid out for a moment, her lower lip catching between her teeth before she nodded. "You're right, I could definitely use a cardigan." She dug through her suitcase, knowing that she'd packed at least one and she had it in there somewhere.
"That's understandable, mate, but, like I said, you know her so well. I think it's next to impossible for you to muck things up with her." Ashton assured his friend. He could definitely understand where Luke was coming from, but he highly doubted that that was going to happen. The date was probably going to be great, and Rosie would probably love everything that Luke had planned for them. "I think we're just staying in tonight. I'll probably see if she wants to order room service and watch some Netflix or something." He shrugged his shoulders.

"I'm sure you're right," Luke said running his fingers through his hair again. He'd known Rosie for so long that surely he knew enough about her to plan a date she'd love. Somehow that wasn't really making him less nervous, but hopefully his nerves would go away soon. After all, there couldn't be anything for him to be nervous about. Everything so far had been good and it was just Rosie. Yes, this was going to be a date, but really how was it so different from every other time they'd went out alone. Really he didn't know what the difference was but he hoped he'd be over all this bloody nerve shit soon before it drove him mad. "So simple," he said checking the clock only to see it was almost time for him to meet Rosie at her room so they could head out. "Okay, well have fun with Madeline. I'm going to go meet Rosie and pray that I'm not this nervous all night,"
"I've never understood why guys make these plans for dates and don't even give a little hint as to where they're taking you," Madeline said knowing she'd been in the same boat Rosie was in right now plenty of times herself. And it sucked really, not knowing how you should dress and just having to hope whatever you picked would work. But well as much as she hated it there wasn't really anything she could do about it either. "You know I'm sure whatever Luke has planned for tonight will be great, and you'll both have a great time," she said overjoyed for both of them. Them actually giving dating one another chance was a huge deal, and considering she'd thought they both wanted to be more than friends since she first met them it was great they finally took the step to being more than just friends.

Rosie sighed softly. "Your guess is as good as mine." She said, punctuating her words with a shrug of her shoulders. If Luke had given her some sort of a hint, she was certain that this whole thing would be much easier than it was. Glancing over to Madeline, she smiled. "I don't doubt that, I just hope I'm not overdressed or anything like that." She checked the time on her phone. Luke would be here soon. "Shit," She swore, "he'll be here soon!" She at least had her hair done, but she still needed to get dressed and do her makeup. "Just stall if he gets here before I'm ready, okay?" She grabbed the outfit and her makeup bag and hurried into the bathroom to finish getting ready.
"Simple and kind of boring if you ask me. That's what happens when you've been dating for a while." Ashton chuckled slightly. He didn't mind quiet nights in like that though, and, with the crazy lifestyle that he lived, he actually quite looked forward to them. He nodded, patting Luke on the back. "Thanks. Good luck tonight, mate. I'm sure Rosie's going to love what you've got planned. Don't do anything that I wouldn't do. Oh, and don't forget to use protection!" He called as his friend walked out the door.

"I hope you're right. And maybe you should find a way to I don't know, spice things up again," Luke said shaking his head at Ashton's later words before he grabbed his jacket just in case and headed to the door. "Promise we'll be safe." He said before he headed out. Though he wasn't entirely sure the night would end with anything happening aside from kissing maybe. Yea he figured that eventually they'd have sex and of course he'd make sure they were safe but honestly he hadn't even thought of that happening tonight. Though he supposed if the night went well it was possible. It was still early in the night though so who knew what would happen. Regardless of what might happen later though Luke was out the door and walking down the hall to Rosie's room hoping she was ready to go.
"Will do!" Madeline called after Rosie before laying back on the bed and picking up the remote to flip through the channels to see what all was on while she waited for Rosie to finish, or for Luke to get there so she could tell him Rosie was still getting ready. Though after about five minutes or so it seemed that Luke was ready to go and knocking on the door. So Madeline got off the bed and went to the door. "Lucas," she said smiling at him and stepping out of the way so he could come in. "She's still getting ready, but she should be about done." Madeline told him walking back to the bed and sitting down again, patting on the bed for him to sit with her. "I guess I'll wait then," he said given he didn't have much of a choice.

[We need to continue this one as well because Rosie and Luke are my babies tehe]

"You're the best, Mads!" Rosie called from the bathroom. Thankfully, she'd curled her hair prior to attempting to figure out what to wear. She decided to keep the makeup fairly simple, she didn't want to look to overdone and she wasn't the type of girl who caked makeup onto her face anyway, so she went with a little bit of concealer under her eyes and to conceal any blemishes, some simple black eyeliner and mascara, and, to tie the whole look together, some red lipstick. After fussing with her hair a bit, and then slipping on her shoes, she was ready to go. And just in time too, because she could hear Luke and Madeline talking out in the room. Tugging on the hem of her dress a bit, she looked in the mirror one last time before walking out. "Hey." She breathed, a small smile gracing her lips.
Ashton nodded. "Yeah, maybe you're right." He said. He hadn't really given it much thought before, but maybe Luke was right. Maybe he should try to come up with something to spice things up between him and Madeline. Just to keep things interesting. She didn't seem too bored with their relationship, though he certainly never wanted it to happen, so maybe spicing things up or coming up with some grand gesture to remind her how he felt about her would be a good thing. He just didn't know what that was. Sighing softly, he laid back on his bed and stared up at the ceiling of the hotel room. How was he going to spice things up?

[ yes! and I totally feel the same way, only about Madeline and Ashton In Love ]

"Hey," Luke said smiling at Rosie when she walked out of the bathroom looking totally gorgeous and ready for their date. It was actually a little calming seeing her, he didn't know why given she looked ready for a date, and up until that point he'd been freaking out because he didn't want the night to end badly. But for whatever reason he did feel a little calmer seeing her. Maybe it was it was Rosie, and even seeing her dressed up didn't change who it was. He'd never actually had a bad time when he was with her and they'd hung out as friends so surely this time wouldn't be any different. It'd be a nice night, everything would work out the way it should, and all would be well with them. "So you ready to go then?" He asked standing up from the edge of the bed ready to head out for the night. "We'll see you later Mads," Luke said smiling at Madeline figuring now she'd head back to her own hotel room where Ashton was and they'd get to their night of room service and Netflix.
"Yep, I'll see you guys later. Have fun tonight," Madeline said smiling at the couple before she headed out of the hotel room and back to her own hotel room where her boyfriend was. "So now that Rosie and Luke are heading off to wherever will you tell me where he's taking her?" She asked figuring it wouldn't hurt to get whatever details of the date Ashton knew. It wasn't like she could ruin the surprise anymore after all. "Do you remember our first date? Heavens it feels like it was so long ago," she said smiling before sitting down next to Ashton. Seeing Luke and Rosie together finally, and about to head out for their first official date reminded her of her own first date with Ashton. Which they'd been together almost three years, so it'd been pretty much three years since their first date, and they'd shared quite a few dates since then really. But the first one was always the one that stood out to her.

[I was looking back at this the other day and I was like "Aw, I miss Rosie and Luke!!"]

Rosie, of course, had seen Luke dressed up before. From the award shows to just dates he'd been on in the past, she was no stranger to how nicely he cleaned up, but this was different. He was dressed nicely for her. For their date, something she hadn't fully wrapped her head around just yet, and Gods did he look amazing. "As ready as I'll ever be, Hemmings." She said, a teasing lilt to her voice as they left the room. On their way out, she called over her shoulder, "Bye, Mads!" before allowing Luke to lead her over to the elevator. "So, am I allowed to know where you're taking me now?" She asked the lanky lad, punctuating her words with a raised eyebrow. "Because I'm assuming I'm not overdressed, but my curiosity is getting the best of me, and you know how impatient I can get." She laughed.
Ashton smiled when his girlfriend returned to their room, assuming that their friends had left. He was really happy for Luke and Rosie, and, though he had yet to tell his friend this, he did play a part in this whole thing actually happening. Granted, Harry was the one who had taken her out on the date, but he was still the one who had asked the curly haired lad to do it for him. If he hadn't, well, he didn't know if Luke would have ever grown a pair and told Rosie how he felt. He just didn't want it to happen down the road when it was far too late. He didn't want Luke to have to handle Rosie getting married and having kids with some other guy, granted, that was the extreme case of what could have happened, but it would have still been possible had Luke not told her the truth. "All I know is that he's taking her to dinner, I don't know what else he has planned for the night." Ashton told his girlfriend, punctuating his words with a slight shrug of his shoulders. He later words caused the smile on his face to grow and he pressed a kiss to the top of her head. " 'course I do. I thought I was going to piss myself, I was so nervous." He chuckled.

"You look perfect," Luke said smiling at her as he walked with her out of the hotel. "And as much as I'd love to tell you where we're going now I can't. If I did it would ruin the surprise. Which I know you're not one for surprises, and how impatient you can be but trust me it'll all be worth it." He told her hoping the perfect evening he had planned would be as perfect for her as he wanted it to be. He'd actually kind of stressed a lot about this whole night to make sure that he had everything planned and that everything was perfect. So he didn't want to ruin anything by telling her in advanced where they'd be going. He wanted her to be surprised, hopefully in the best way, with everything. And well the whole being genuinely surprised, and again hopefully in the best way, usually worked best if the party you were trying to surprise didn't know anything. Though he had known Rosie basically his whole life so he did feel pretty confident in the whole knowing what she liked and didn't like areas, though.
Madeline snuggled up closer to Ashton laughing a little at his reaction. "Really? I made you that nervous?" She asked remembering the night for herself. "Honestly, I was nervous too." She told him remembering literally spending the whole day shopping with her mom trying to find the perfect outfit for when he picked her up. It'd also included picking out at least ten different outfits and then having to choose between them. She'd even sat through her mom helping her do her hair for close to an hour. Which was not something Madeline ever did. There were very few people that Madeline let touch her hair, and her mum usually wasn't one of them. Usually, she did just did her own hair but that night was special and she'd wanted to make sure it looked more put together than when she did it herself. "I think it's understandable though that we were nervous, I mean it was a first date. And it wasn't like it was guaranteed that it would go well or that we'd still be together three years later. But here we are." She said positive she wouldn't want it any other way.

Rosie couldn't help the smile that tugged at the corners of her lips and she certainly couldn't help the butterflies in her stomach either. It was strange to think that Luke, someone she'd always seen as her best friend, could make her feel this way. "You don't look so bad yourself." She said as they walked out of the hotel. The smile turned int a slight pout when he told her that he couldn't tell her where he was taking her though. "You're lucky I trust you." She huffed. She really did hate surprises, though she was going to give him the benefit of the doubt for the time being.
Ashton chuckled. "Why does that surprise you? I couldn't even ask you to hang out with me the first time that we did because I was so damn nervous. Rosie and Luke asked you for me, remember?" He shook his head slightly at the thought. He'd been absolutely mortified when he first found out that they'd gone in and asked her to come down to band practice that afternoon. Of course, he was happy when he found out that she'd agreed, but it had still been pretty mortifying at first. "I think you're right, but now look at us. It's been three years and we couldn't be happier. And, lets think of it this way, it took us less time to get together than it took Luke to tell Rosie how he felt about her."

Luke smiled at Rosie glad she thought he looked nice too. He wasn't exactly one who liked to dress nicely like this. Honestly, usually he was in ripped jeans and a t-shirt that probably had at least one hole in it somewhere. Hell, his mum complained all the time about how he looked nice dressed up and wished he'd dress up more often. But he kind of hated it. He kind of just liked the more rough and tough look, but well tonight was a special occasion and he'd wanted to look nice for his first date with Rosie. "Oh I know I am," Luke said laughing a little. He knew that if he hadn't been her best friend for so long that there was no way he'd be getting away with not telling her where they were going. She'd probably be trying to flirt information out of him or something. Though it was probably more likely that Madeline would've got all the information out of him and then told Rosie, if Luke were a normal guy that is. Luckily though Luke knew a thing or two about both girls and was able to keep everything a secret. "We're almost there,"
"True," Madeline said he really hadn't been able to talk to her when they'd first met. And if it weren't for Luke and Rosie who knew if they ever even would've really met. But looking at everything he was right. They couldn't have been happier. Because the last three years had been the best three years she could've asked for. And it had taken them less time to get together than if took for Luke to tell Rosie how he felt. At least he'd finally told her, though, even if it was only because she'd went on a date with Harry Styles. "We should do something adventurous tonight," She said looking over to him. They hadn't exactly made plans for the night, so it'd probably be netflix and room service like it tended to be on tour. But Madeline wanted to make the most of their night, and of her alone time with Ashton and do something they didn't normally do.

Truthfully, if Luke hadn't been her best friend, and they hadn't known each other as long as they had, Rosie probably wouldn't trust him as much as she did right now. The fact of the matter was though, she had known him that long, he was her best friend, and she did trust him. He practically knew her better than she knew herself, and she was certain that she'd like wherever he was taking her. She had no doubt that she would actually. "So, does that mean you can give me a hint then?" She asked curiously. "Just a small one. I won't ask where you're taking me anymore. I just want a hint, Hemmings. That's it."
"Define adventurous." Ashton said, flopping back onto the pillows and picking up his phone to scroll through his twitter for a bit. Things had been rather quiet and uneventful since the incident with those fans about a week ago. Management hadn't been too happy when he'd called them out on twitter about it, but he didn't care. He loved Madeline and he'd defend her regardless of who he may or may not end up pissing off and offending in the process. He was thankful that things had been rather uneventful though lately. He knew that it wouldn't stay that way forever, so he was going to take advantage of it while it lasted.

"I suppose I could give you a little hint," Luke said smiling over at Rosie as they continued to walk towards where he was taking her. "Let's just say part of what I had planned tonight might follow a certain Disney movie about dogs," He said hoping she'd figure out which one he was talking about. And sure they weren't in the same city as the movie, and everything leading up to this point hadn't been anything like the movie. But the date in the movie was just so well known that he'd thought it'd be a cute idea. However after dinner would be a lot different, and the definitely wouldn't get caught by any dog hunters. He couldn't really say that this was the most original or well thought out idea, but he'd been so nervous about the whole thing and couldn't figure anything out until he was laying in bed the night before and Lady and the Tramp happened to be on so he watched it and got the idea. And really he just hoped she had fun.
"Well I mean technically it means that you're willing to take risks and try out new things. And it'd be something new and kind of out of our normal comfort zone," she said biting her lip. "And I was thinking actually that we go on a tour of the city, or be really risky and splash around in a fountain. Or we could make up some fake poll and then ask random people to answer it. There's a lot we could do really," she said pretty sure they'd be able to come up with something to do surely. And yea she loved spending nights in with Ashton just relaxing and watching Netflix, hell the list of shows they'd binged watched together was kind of outrageous. But tonight she was kind of in the mood to go out and do something they didn't normally do.
