(Sorry for the bad replies XD)

Tannis was working on a negative reply when her queen spoke. She turned back to Camille with a disapproving look, then sighed and turned back to the mortals. "Unfortunately, she's right. We really do need to be going... thank you for your hospitality though."

Already, it was getting a little late for her liking, from what she could tell. She really didn't like that there were trees all in her way so that she couldn't get a good view of anything, even though she should at least be able to see some of the moon... but the sky had looked clear earlier, so she went with the positive thought that it was simply getting late -rather than that there might be clouds closing off the sky. Because that would be bad...

Cedric decided to just not take part in the conversation, though he did smile a bit at the comment by the woman towards the back. He honestly had no idea what his prince was planning, though he knew for a fact that he didn't actually agree with it, whatever it was. But what was he supposed to do? Yell at them to run? It wasn't as if Konner was actually planning harm towards these two. If he had been, that might've been what Cedric would've done. But... he was still just the knight, the baby-sitter, and there wasn't really anything that he could do at the moment -not without punishment of some sort.

"At least let us accompany you on your trip, that way I can feel better knowing you made it there safely." Konner made a quick glance upwards, towards the moon. A small smile spread across his lips as it appeared to be nowhere in sight. He glanced back over at the girl in armor, watching as a look of worry spread across her features.

The Prince clasped his hands in front of himself. Looked like things might go his way tonight, after all.
Camille watched the two mortals wearily, getting slightly nervous as Tannis looked unsettled. She glanced upwards and couldn't find the moon, their beacon home. She struggled to keep calm and hastily she gave the boy a curt reply, "That's okay. We don't need your help. We'll be off now."

The Queen clutched at Tannis's arm and tugged her back a little, implying she was ready to go.

    (XD you're fine.)

Tannis knew it was time to go, but just wasn't sure how much she liked turning her backs towards them since they were both armed. But since they really needed to go, she did turn towards Camille, glad she wasn't the only one worried now. "Let's hope the moon is still somewhere," she muttered quietly so the mortals wouldn't be able to hear.

Then she began to lead her queen back towards where the portal was, silently praying all the while that it wasn't closed yet. The moon had been out in full not half an hour beforehand, so it still had to be open now. She just refused to think otherwise, really.
Cedric watched as the two abruptly left, his eyes traveling over to his prince. You shouldn't act creepy if you want someone to trust you, he couldn't help but thinking, though he didn't say as much. "Well... whatever you were planning, I suppose it's ruined now," he said, somehow managing not to sound cheerful somehow. "We should just head back home now, hmm?"

Honestly, those two women had seemed more than just a tad odd to him, one with armor and all and the other looking as if she could be a princess or even a queen or something, and then the way that the two had acted like he and Konner were enemies before anything had even happened. It was just.. the way they acted, he supposed. It was all strange. But he was perfectly willing to turn and leave right now, and forget any of it ever happened.

Camille walked next to Tannis, clutching at her hand like they were children again. "I don't feel so well," a grimace flitted across her face as she tried to keep up the brisk pace on the way back to the cave. Her stomach was in a gruesome turmoil; she wanted to desperately look up, to find the moon, but she didn't know what would happen if she couldn't spot that silver orb hanging low in the sky.

The Queen nibbled at her fingernails, knowing it was a nasty habit, and jumped as she heard some leaved rustle. A gasp managed to escape from her lips as she scanned the area, trying to search for the cause of the sound. Anger welled up in her chest; she was mad at herself for being so scared. She was the Queen of faerie; she should be brave.
Konner's head snapped towards Cedric, a look of anger clear on his face. "I don't want to go home. If you want to leave and explain to my mother and father why I am not there, then you can go. I'm going to follow those two. I don't trust them." He stalked off into the direction the women had headed, not glancing back to see if Cedric had followed.

His footfalls were that of silence as he navigated his way through the woods, watching the two of them from a distance.

I personally wanted to send a message to everyone I roleplay with, especially to apologize for my absence. I managed to get bronchitis again, and while at first it was just the meds messing with me, now I just feel exhausted from all the coughing, plus the fact that I've inherited athsma from my mom and bronchitis makes it to where I don't breathe well. It usually only lasts about a week, but this one is really kicking me. Anyway, I'm so sorry for my sudden disappearance.
Aside from that, I wanted to say that I'm going to take a break in roleplaying for a little bit. Almost everyone knows I've recently made a move, and I'm starting a new school during my senior year in a couple of weeks. Right now, I'm sick, but then I'll be all over the place getting ready for school and carting my sister to band practice and such, then I'll have my hands full once school starts since the classes I'm taking will be almost all advanced and I have a full schedule worked out. But until I find a groove where I can comfortably work out time to roleplay without it cutting into life, I'll be on break.
I really hope you can understand, and I'm sorry about the abruptness of this. Thank you so much for understanding!

It's okay. I'm about to start cosmetology school this coming Tuesday, plus I need to find a part time job so I can understand that you will be busy. So just let me know when you're able to pick this back up and hopefully I'll have a steady routine by then too. I hope you feel better soon. (:

(I think I can pick up my roleplays again ^-^ I'll be able to post at least once a week, I figure, maybe more -especially on weekends. Sorry I had to take so long, but school was a little more than I expected, especially since I have four hour and a half classes, two of which are sciences with math in between, and I don't take easy classes since they bore me xD it's nice only having four classes -block schedule rather than 7 periods- but the homework is intense for Human A&P and I can always count on math homework. ~~did I mention I have to learn all 206 bones in the human body in 3 days because my teacher is crazy like that? and I love the class anyway~~ anyway... yeah... I hope college isn't like this lmfao -I actually do half hope it is, so I don't get bored)

They had made it most of the way back to the portal to Faerie when the silence of the two fae was interrupted by the rustling of some leaves. Tannis' nerves leaped, and it was only with practice that had been drilled into her that she was able to stay still and silent -the alternative being jumping or, as her queen had done, gasping. Instead, Tannis allowed her eyes to track through the woods around them, searching for a few precious moments for the source of the sound.

But only a few moments. They needed to move, and she trusted her instincts -or ears- to alert her if one of the humans dared to come after them. She would know if they got too close, with all that clunky iron they insisted on wearing. Honestly, just being near it made her want to shrink back... that was iron though -enemy to all fae.

"We're almost there," she whispered nearly inaudibly to Camille, noticing that Tannis' queen was clutching rather tightly to her hand. And so Tannis began to move again, maybe a little faster than she had last time, practically dragging Camille with her back to the cave.

And the words that crossed her lips should bear no repeating for their vulgarity. Despite this, Tannis felt fairly justified for the string of curses she spat as they approached what appeared to be a stagnant pond in a mildewed cave in the middle of a cursed forest. Had there been a full moon shining in, it would've been different and beautiful. Instead, there were clouds in the sky, and Tannis had managed to get her queen stuck in the very dangerous Mortal World until the next moon when they could return to Faerie.
Cedric nearly snapped back at Konner, honestly tired of babysitting and black-mail, but with his face reddened with anger, he clomped into the forest after his prince, armor rattling the entire way. Cedric was bulkier, especially so with his amount of armor, and slower than his prince, and at a couple of times was sure he was going to lose Konner.

That was just something he couldn't afford though, not unless he was willing to either take the punishment or hide from it for the rest of his days. Yet neither option stuck out at him as acceptable.

As he clomped heavily through the forest, he kept his mouth shut -namely for two reasons. The first was which was because he was afraid of what would come out if he happened to say anything to his prince. Cedric would rather not accidentally say something that he would later regret.

The second reason was far less simple. He could tell, somehow, that Konner wanted silence, complete and utter. It was almost like a silent demand, but without any cues given. Normally, Cedric wouldn't actually give much forethought on that, and he would talk anyhow, but this time, it was almost as if something were willing him to be silent, and he had to obey. It was a strange feeling, but despite that it probably should've alarmed him, it really didn't.

At the sight of the atrocious pond and cave that once was beautiful, Camille wanted to fall to her knees and cry, maybe even scream a little and pull at her hair. It wasn't that she was scared of what was in the woods - she was the Queen; she was better than that - it was more or less that the two men they had left behind could possibly be following. Camille had never been much of a fighter, therefore she couldn't really help Tannis if that was what it happened to come down to.

Taking a deep breath, she placed her hand on her hips and turned to Tannis with a hard look on her face. "Now what are we going to do?" She hadn't come with a plan; she hoped that maybe, just maybe, that Tannis had thought that far ahead of them.
Konner wanted to yell at the clunking man behind him but refused to make that much sound. You would think he would have the intelligence to walk with more grace or something, he thought to himself. The Prince forced his anger down and kept his eyes on the women ahead of him.

He didn't necessarily not trust them as he had said to Cedric, but he did most definitely want to know what they were doing and where they were going. As they approached a disgusting cavern, he stared at them from between several trees quizzically.

His confusion only furthered as one of them placed her hands on her hips, both of them looking quite lost.

(It's okay. Cosmetology school isn't quite what I thought it was going to be. There's all kinds of stuff I have to know, like diseases and the like. I didn't expect to have to know such big words, honestly. I'm coming to the end of my sixth week and all in all, I really like the school. Sorry about not replying to this right away. With it being so much of a longer post, I preferred to do it from my laptop which my internet was acting funny until today. If it's any consolation, you were the first roleplay I replied to today.)

Tannis had been afraid that the lack of the moon would mean they would be trapped in this accursed realm, which was the primary reason she'd wanted her queen to leave with the children -who at least seemed to have gotten home alright. There was honestly nothing to be done now, though. She looked to her queen with a grim smile. "We stay here until morn. If the sun arises without the portal opening again, we seek shelter with the humans until the next full moon when we might return home. That is the only option available to us," she said.

While outwardly she was calm though, inwardly, she chafed. It was completely unacceptable for them to be in this position! Yet, here they were... With a sigh, Tannis found a large rock and sat upon it, unsheathing her sword and looking over the noble blade. She produced a cloth, wiping down the blade, and then sheathed her weapon once more as she prayed for the moon's return and for the sun to remain behind the clouds.

Too soon though, she saw dawn open its huge jaws and stretch out over the trees. They were trapped.
Cedric was glad when Konner finally stopped, and he did too once he caught up with his prince. It was hard to walk in the armor, or to adopt any form of stealth, and he had been afraid that he would lose his charge.

Soon, he saw the two women they'd been following. They were in a cavern that appeared to be fairly shallow... and they just stayed there for some time. Cedric fought back the urge to ask what in the world they were supposed to be watching for, or what the two were doing, and instead remained dutifully quiet.

After a while, the sun rose, clearing out the darkness of night, and he let out a sigh. They'd been out all night long on his prince's fruitless hunt, simply to watch a couple of women who appeared to be lost in the forest. Brilliant...

(Haha, I feel honored! Sorry it took me so long as well though... my classes are determined that I will only have time for homework. Probably the only reason that I am able to reply at the moment is because I happened to get really sick, so I'm home all day)

Camille entertained herself with a bit of magic as they waited, collecting disapproving looks from Tannis. As the sun rose, Camille glanced over at her companion, "Now what?" Her eyebrows quirked up.

As did her ears as she heard a rustling noise from the edge of the woods. The Queen's eyes had slithered into slits as she watched the boy come from between the trees, smiling at them like they were all old friends.
Konner was quite happy with himself as he removed himself from his hiding place. "I see you guys seem to be a bit lost or are you going to tell me you live in the horrid looking place?" His smile only grew wider as he recieved glares from them. "Seeing as you officially have nowhere to go from her, would you now like to accompany me to my castle? Especially since my trusty knight and I stayed out here all night to make sure you both would be safe from harm's way."

Tannis wasn't given the opportunity to reply before the human from earlier in the night suddenly appeared with his knight trailing behind him. The faerie's hand automatically moved to her weapon, though she didn't draw it this time. Instead, she let her hand remain on the hilt as she watched the men before her with distrust. She honestly didn't want to go anywhere with either of them.

But she and her queen were stuck... this cave was their only shelter, and it would be a full month before they could return to their realm again. So only after exchanging a brief glance with Camille, Tannis forced her hand to move away from her weapon and instead hang at her sides, taking on a non-hostile posturing even if her shoulders were still stiff. She nodded to the boy, saying, "Thank you for your hospitality." And no words had felt worse in her mouth... but she had the wellbeing of her queen to think of. Tannis figured that she could easily live off the forest and dodge humans when the need arose, but that would be significantly more difficult on Camille. This seemed to be their best option until they could return home.
By this point, Cedric was only remaining around to keep an eye on his prince and be the 'babysitter' he'd been assigned to be. He managed to talk Konner out of the more dangerous, stupid things the prince seemed inclined to do, but sometimes all the knight could do was tag along and try to minimize the damage. That was what was happening now.

So he was quiet as his prince spoke to the two women, relieved to hear they would be leaving this dreadful forest soon and going back to the castle. As soon as the one dressed as a warrior agreed to the prince's hospitality, Cedric sighed in relief and all but clapped his hands together. "Well, let's get back to the castle then, shall we? Maybe before your parents wake and discover you've been out in this forsaken forest all night during the full moon?" Cedric suggested, attempting to keep them both from serious trouble. Because ultimately, the prince might receive a small punishment and the knight would be given the brunt of the blame. He was smart enough to realize it.

I'm so sorry to say this, but I can't keep up with this site anymore. I have enjoyed roleplaying with you but I don't really have the time to squeeze it into my life anymore. My creative juices aren't flowing anymore and there is just too much stress. I don't plan to leave the sight completely, but I definitely can't promise that I'll even be on here once a week. I plan to keep up with the two contests I have going and that's it. I'm so sorry that I have to do this. It's honestly breaking my heart.
