Greek/Roman Gods Contest

Hi everyone! Since I've returned from my hiatus caused by lack of computer access, I'm having a hard time getting back into the Mibba community via the reading of stories. So, I thought it would be a good idea to host a contest! This way I can start reading stories again.

Rules
1. Must follow Mibba's rules & guidelines.
2.You may only enter one story.
3. Pre-writes allowed.
4. You don't have to include the god in your story as a character, but it must be clearly tied to your chosen god in some way.
5. Grammar and spelling is important, please at least try to look over your work. If I find too many issues I won't read the whole way through your story.
6. Word count minimum of 500 and a maximum of 10,000.
7. Inform me if you change your username.
8. Inform me if you need to drop out.

Brownie Points
1. Original & readable layout
2. Original fiction.
3. Make me feel something. Especially if you make me laugh/cry.
4. Use the god as a character.

Deadlines
To enter: none.
To submit: September 10th.

Prizes
1. Rec'ing any 3 stories (of your choice)
2. Commenting on any 2 stories (of your choice)
3. Including any story (of your choice) in a recommendations blog (first and second place only)
4. Rec'ing you as an author (first, second, or third place only)

There will be a first, second, third, and fourth place. And, if I decide necessary, one or two honorary mentions. No matter what place you receive, you may only pick two prizes. I hope to finish judging by September 9th.

I'm about to start an original fiction piece that includes all twelve olympian gods in a modern world. Would that technically work?

Hmm... I'm not sure how I would manage to fit that in... unless there's one god you plan on focusing on more than the others? Or I suppose I could add a 13th category.

I was trying to keep it to only two people per god so that there is a bit of a variety in the stories. You could always pick another god but still include Hades somehow, if you really want?

What I actually, really wanted to do was work with one of Hades' children, I was thinking Melinoe but she isn't always a goddess. Everyone seems to be confused on who she really is. Some say that was the daughter of Persephone and Hades, but others say it was Persephone and Zeus disgused as Hades. She's pretty much the Goddess of Ghosts, so I guess can I have Persephone or Melinoe herself?
