Rebecca stood against the wall looking at her shoes, she was bored and sick of watching everyone dancing. The brunette wanted to retire to her bed. She wanted to get off her aching feet and try get a decent amount of sleep, however she knew she wasn't able to leave until she was dismissed.
Sighing she lifted her head stretching it slightly to crack it easing the pain of having her head bowed over for so long. That was when she noticed a pair of eyes staring at her. Looking toward the dancing king her breath stuck in her throat when the two locked eyes. Quickly she averted them her heart racing in her chest.
He had been looking at her? Surely she was dreaming, there was no way he, the King, would have been looking at her, a chambermaid.
James had made it back to the stables and was making himself comfortable in the hay, he could heard the music from the castle but no matter how hard he tried he wasn't able to drift off to sleep instead his mind was busy with thoughts of the princess. The Princess that he had chased after and returned to the King unharmed.
