Here's my chapter, I'm sorry I'm such a horrible co author *sigh*
Cael
“Sam have you seen Fay around anywhere?” I asked the school gossip monger.
"Faye?" Sam cocked his head, thinking about it for a moment, “No I don’t think I – wait, actually hell yeah I have, I heard Acrimony and he were going to meet up and have a little ‘get together’.” He wiggled his eyes at the word and the emotions swarmed over me so fast I wasn’t sure if what I wanted more right now was to punch Sam or run from him. “Thought you would have known, you two being butt buddies and all that,” he muttered.
“Not anymore,” I growled and turned towards the parking lot. He was my ride home tonight and he fucking knew that. Instead, he went off to get fucking laid without me. It was supposed to be something we were going to experience for the first time together and he threw that away for a cheap screw.
I began on the sidewalk, knowing I had a five mile walk ahead of me before I reached home, plenty of time to be stuck with my thoughts. Great.
Of course it would be Acrimony, the gorgeous football player that was the top of almost everyone’s to-fuck list. That didn’t help the raging jealousy inside me.
Even if I did somehow manage to convince Faye to sleep with me, which would undoubtedly mean giving him my virginity and honestly how could I compare to Acrimony. A desperate virgin compared to the cool, calm and experienced football player.
“Fuck!” I kicked the ground, annoyance and anger filling me.
I didn't want Faye sleeping around. I wanted him sleeping with me. I stopped in my tracks, looking around for somewhere to go and sit down however realization that it would take me even longer to get home ran through my mind. I just wanted to get home as soon as possible, kick back with a stiff drink and some Netflix.
I began walking again, just realizing that someone was gaining on me fast. “Hey Cael, I didn’t know you walked home?” I heard Shaan say as he walked up to me.
Just great, Shaan and I were walking home while out best friends fucked one another’s brains out. Perfect.
“I usually don’t,” I said, smiling tight lipped as I fell in to step with him. “I’m walking for the same reason you are, you got left,” The words came out harsh and I meant them.
Shaan giggled, either not hearing or ignoring the bite in my voice. “I’m happy Acrimony’s finally getting some!” He slapped both hands over his mouth like a child. “I mean again.”
I turned towards him, halting involuntarily, “No way…Acrimony is…was a virgin?” The news was a shocking contrast to the raunchy stories that usually surrounded the football player.
Shaan had also stopped and he reached forward, putting his hands on my arms, “Please don’t tell anyone! Acrimony is going to kill me if he knows I let it slip,” I shrugged.
“It’s none of my business,” I said, beginning to walk, "just surprised me."
"Thank you!” the boy chirped.
“So don’t you usually cheerlead after school?” I asked, trying to find something to say between the two of us. I didn’t want my thoughts to travel to what Faye and Acrimony were doing probably right now.
“It got cancelled, the teacher that supervises us had an emergency at home", he said. "have you ever walked home before?" The boy asked, "whenever my practice gets cancelled sometimes I split between waiting for Acrimony and heading home."
"No, I normally always ride with Faye..." I whispered, biting my lip as soon as I was done speaking. Of course the conversation would come back around to this.
Shaan seemed to notice my hesitation to talk about Faye and what exactly Acrimony and he were doing right now, "Do you want to talk about whatever it is that's bugging you? I mean I already accidentally told you something top secret about Acrinomy so I'll keep your secret and you can keep mine," he smiled then shook his head a little. "I still can't believe I told you, maybe I just feel comfortable around you," he shrugged a little then looked to me for an answer.
I ran the idea over in my mind, what did it matter if Shaan knew? Hell, I'm pretty sure everyone knew of my infatuation over him anyway, they just didn't know how bad it was. I let out a huff of a sigh, "I hate it when he's slutting around. Of course this is the first time he's acted on it but his flirtatious, whoring ways piss me off." I glanced over to see Shaan biting his lip.
"Why don't you like it? Does it annoy you or something?"
"No, because I love him. I don't want to see him with others because I only want him to be with me," I admitted out loud for the first time.
"Oh, now I understand. Well, my house is right down this street but you know, here's my number and you can text or call me whenever you want to talk," he grabbed my phone out of my hand and sent himself a text, handing my phone back and immediately responding. "Just have a little faith that things will work out the way they are meant to," he grinned and with a wave, he was gone.
