Why Don't You Figure My Heart Out?

Bucky nodded as he grabbed his wallet from the counter and stuffed it in his pocket. "Ready when you are" he grinned as he put on a t-shirt over his tank top and fixed his hair some.

Ana took a bite and chewed and swallowed and looked at Steve, "yeah it's delicious" she agreed taking a sip out of her drink.

(Do you wanna skip to where Steve and Ana have eaten and when Bucky and Brooke get back to the flat?)
Brooke opened the door and headed out of Steve's and. Bucky's apartment complex onto the streets of D.C, the store was only a short walk away and the weather was turning a little cold. It was odd for Brooke to think that only a couple of hours earlier she was arguing with Bucky.

Steve continues to eat his meal which he was really enjoying, he would have to thank Clint for the recommendation.

Bucky and Brooke left the apartment and headed down the street to a nearby liquor store where they quickly bought everything they needed, funny to think they were arguing earlier and now they were fine. It didn't take them long to get home, "so what do you do for fun?" he asked as he opened the door to his apartment.

Ana finished up her meal, every so often she would say something about the meal or ask him what he like doing, basic questions really. After they finished, Ana grabbed her purse and she pulled out her wallet, pushing some of her hair out of her face.

Brooke stepped inside the apartment, "When I do get time off I normally lazy about at home because I am so tired but sometimes I go out to a few bars with friends." Replied Brooke as she headed into the kitchen looking for the wine glasses. "Why? Do you wanna come out on a crazy night out in D.C?" Teased Brooke with a small laugh.

Steve smiled as he saw Ana pull out her wallet, he invited her on this meal and he was damned if she was going pay! his mother brought him up better than that. "You are not paying, I asked you out, my treat." Insisted Steve as he got his wallet and gestured for the waiter.

Bucky followed her into his apartment and closed the door behind him, "I see, so you're the drinking type eh? I mean if you want I'll join you and your friends and drink keep an eye out on you. I can't get drunk anyway." He grinned. Bucky walked into the kitchen and put away the small amount of groceries he had bought and leaned against the counter after he was done.

Ana looked up, her face turning a bright pink, "I .well.. I .. okay" she bit her lip and watched him gesture the waiter over. Ana looked at him, "are you always like this? when you go out on dates I mean.. this polite?" she asked curiously.

"Are you insinuating I am drunk Barnes?" Asked Brooke as she mocked he upset, "I know how to have a good time, I grew up in Vegas and New Orleans because of my parents divorce and I went to college in New York so there is that." Brooke laughed a little, was this flirting? Brooke let the thought slip her mind as she glanced over at Bucky. "It's a shame you can't get drunk, the music the bars play is awful. But if you do want to join us, feel free, I don't know when the next night out will be conflicting schedules and all that."

Steve paid for the meal and the waiter went away to get the change. "Polite? I guess it was the way I was brought up and when I was given the serum everything was well enhanced so I guess that included my politeness," laughed Steve, his smile quickly faded, "why is it too much?" He didn't want to come across as too strong.

Bucky laughed, "yes, it's definitely what I'm doing, assuming that you're a drunk, oh I'm such an awful person huh?" he sat down in the living room sofa after they finished cleaning up and listened to Brooke. "I see, that sounds really interesting, " he crossed his arms as he watched her for a moment. "That's what everyone says about Steve too, we can't help it really, we're actually kind of glad" he laughed once more. "Well, just let me know then, and I'll be happy to go with you"

Ana looked at Steve and smiled softly, 'that's interesting. No not at all, it's refreshing" she said honestly. Ana wasn't used to this, "I'm not used to this kind of thing, we'd always split the bill or I'd pay every other date or something" she laughed thinking back at some of her dates.

"Well as soon as I know I let you know and then I can prove how I am not a drunk," laughed Brooke as she joined Bucky on the sofa with two glasses of wine, she handed one to Bucky. "So what are your plans for the rest of the week?' She asked with a soft smile.

"It would be very odd if a girl paid for a date back in the 40's, it just want common," explained Steve as the waiter came back with his change, Steve shifted through the change and left a tip before getting up from his seat. "There is a nice park, not too far from here, would you like to go to it?" Asked Steve.

Bucky chuckled and nodded, "it's a deal then" he chuckled then took the glass of wine and sipped on it, "this is good" he nodded. Bucky wondered about the rest of thet week before he answered Brooke's question, "I'm not really sure, I get up every morning with Steve and go out for a run then we come home have breakfast and sit around for awhile before we do anything, we're boring" he laughed.

Ana nodded, "understandable our culture has changed over the decades, you find anything weird yet?" She got up and grabbed her purse putting it over her shoulder and smiled softly, "that sounds great, I'd like that"

"Sounds it," gentle teased Brooke as she sipped the wine, it was really good. "I'm sure you will find something to occupy your time during the week." Even though SHIELD had requested that Brooke work with Bucky there was always to possibility she was called out on a field mission during the week.

Steve laughed in answers to Ana question as they made their way out of the restaurant, "I could probably write a book," chuckled Steve, "But the one thing is how everyone is on their phones all the time, it is very peculiar." As they left the restaurant Steve with Ana made their way to the park.

Bucky wrapped his arm around her shoulder as she sat down next to him and he pressed the play button to start the movie, "hopefully I get bored easily," he chuckled. He knew they'd both be called out ofr missions, each different but he'd be spending time with her

Ana giggled softly, "I'm sure you could. Ah that, yeah, it's a little weird, I don't have many friends which is why I'm never on my phone." As they walked she smiled looking around and looked back at Steve, "so what do you do for fun?"

Brooke smiled, as she let Bucky wrap his arm around her shoulder something that she was oddly comfortable with. As they settled down to watch the movie Brooke took another sip of her wine, she would have to get more of that stuff. "I will bring you crossword puzzles overs if needs be, you know being a old man and that," laughed Brooke.

As the entered the park, it was getting slightly more chilly. "Fun," breathed Steve, "Not much if I am honest. I am trying to catch up with the world and once I have done that I will start having fun." Steve like sitting in his flat with Bucky watching old films but he wouldn't call it fun more reminiscing. Fun was a word that did not enter Steve's world very much.

Bucky took a sip of his wine that was delicious he would have to remember to get some more with time, he looked over at Brooke and let out a laugh, "yeah, Steve and I love crossword puzzles" he said sarcastically. "Well, maybe just a little bit."

Ana nodded as she held her arms closer together, even though she was wearing a long sleeve shirt it was rather thin and she was getting cold, not to mention her skirt, her legs were getting goosebumps, she looked over at him and smiled. "That sounds interesting, well, you let me know when you're done with that and I'll be more than happy and help you out with 'fun'" she chuckled.

Brooke let out a laugh as Bucky's sarcasm was evident. "If I am honest I do love a decent crossword," admitted Brooke with a soft smile, she then took another sip of the wine before turning her focusing to the film.

Steve looked over at Ana and instantly took off his jacket and placed it around her shoulders, "I know I know," laughed Steve, he was far too polite for his own good. "I will certainly give you a call when I need a hand catching up with the word fun." Steve smiled as they continue to walk in the park which was very peaceful that evening.

Bucky grinned, "some of them can be fun, I agree" taking another sip of wine he looked over at the film and smiled. "You know I've always like these types of movies, without dialogue"

Ana looked up when she felt him place his jacket around her shoulders, "I wasn't going to say anything" she whispered then looked forward. Ana nodded every once in awhile, "yeah, that sounds good." She continued to walk silently. She didn't have much to say, what could she say? Ana wasn't good with conversation.

"I guess without dialogue you have to really focus on the film," commented Brooke. She had seen Fantasia a lot of times so it wasn't like she had to completely focus on the film. Brooke glanced at Bucky and smiled a little before returning to the film.

Steve eventually came to stop in the park and offered Ana a soft smile. "It's been a lovely evening," confessed Steve, "and it's been great getting to know you, would you consider another date?" Steve was hoping she would say yes as he'd love to spend more time with her.

Bucky nodded in agreement, "you can but if the movie is as good as they say people can focus on any of them" he took another sip of wine before setting the glass down on the table.

Ana turned to him and smiled softly, "yes it has, thank you for taking me out, I've enjoyed it." She bit her lip for amoment and smiled brightly hearing him speak, "I enjoyed getting to know you too, yeah, another date sounds fantastic" she grinned.

Brooke hummed in agreement as she continued to watch the film. Part of her wondered what time Steve would be back, she was curious to know whether he enjoyed his date but for know she was content watching the film with Bucky.

"Great," Steve beamed, "I will let you know when and where." Steve paused for a moment, he had a few ideas in mind. "I know this is bit old fashioned of me but would you like me to walk you home?"

Bucky looked over at Brooke and smiled "how do you think Steve's date is going? " Bucky wasn't going to bombard Steve with questions he didn't want to be nosy but he was curious. "As much as i'd like to ask i think ill stay out of it"

Ana smiled sweetly at Steve and nodded in agreement "all right" the date seemed ti be ending but she had fun. Ana looked at Steve and smiled "I would love that"

Brooke shrugged a little, "I hope it's going well for him. It's been ages since he has been out on a date." Brooke nodded in response, she could understand why Bucky didn't want to pry.

Steve nodded with a smile. "Well lead the way."
