change in pressure

Nora sighed with relief as she drove down her best friends street. The past few weeks for Nora had been a mess to say the least. It all started with a bacherlotte party (her sister's to be precise) a bacherlotte party in Vegas, what could go wrong? Nora woke up with a killer headache next to a guy covered into tattoos, this wouldn't have been a problem if Nora didn't have a boyfriend. The guilt ate away at her and three days before her sister's wedding Nora ended things with her boyfriend of two years. As soon as the wedding was over Nora packed up her things and drove out Montana and headed for California were one of her good friends, Kim lived. Nora killed the engine of her car as she pulled up outside her friends house, getting out the car she went to the front door she had already told Kim about her arrival. As Nora knocked on the door she hoped that she could get settled in California and forget all about that tattooed man from Vegas.

Jimmy had stayed the night at Zacky's after a heavy night of drinking. His head was pounding as he crawled off the sofa and into the bathroom to find something for his head. And it was all because of Matt who had organised a boozey BBQ. Groaning jimmy found some paracetamol and with a glass of water he took two tablets. After Jimmy took advantage of being up before Zacky and jumped into his shower to try get rid of the headache he was suffering from.

Kim heard a knock on the front door in the middle of her slumber and groaned as she got up off of the couch and trudged toward the front door, holding a hand to her head. Matt had a Barbeque that had involved drinking the night before and Kim and Jimmy, as usual, went a little overboard. Thank the lord Matt's girlfriend Val didn't really drink and was nice enough to take Kim home like she usually did. Or that's what Kim thought happened because she couldn't really remember what happened the night before. She opened the door and her eyes widened when she realized it was her friend Nora standing there, totally having forgotten about her coming to California and moving there. "Nora! Oh my gosh, I forgot you were coming!" Kim exclaimed then winced from the sound of her own voice. "Ow, shit," she mumbled.

Zacky was awake and had already taken some asprin and was making breakfast for him and Jimmy. He knew that Jimmy was going to want to eat after his hangover wore off because he wasn't really the type to be sick to his stomach the morning after. He looked at his phone and realized Matt had called, probably to make sure Jimmy and him had made it home okay. They had a fun night last night and this afternoon him and Jimmy were supposed to meet up with Kim and her friend for lunch so that they could meet her. Along with the other guys because she wanted her friend who had just moved to California to feel comfortable and have some friends since she had just moved here.

The sight of Kim feeling rough as hell cheered Nora up. "Rough night?" asked Nora with a smirk. It wasn't a surprise for Nora too see her friend like this, Kim had told her plenty of times about the drinking sessions she had with her friends in California. "I did tell you I was coming, it's nice to know you had a boozy night before my arrival," teased Nora, "Well are you going to invite me in or what?"

Jimmy felt a lot more awake and ready to face the day after his shower. Heading into Zacky's kitchen he could smell breakfast and his stomach began to rumble. Jimmy took a seat at the table and fudged out his phone from his pocket, the smashed screen indicated it was a good night. "Aren't we meant to be going to lunch with Kim and her friend today?" Asked Jimmy as he unlocked his phone, he went to check to see if he took any pictures from last night. Sure enough the damage was there in the form of 50 or so pictures.

Kim laughed quietly and nodded her head in response to him. "Pretty much," she said to Nora with a small smile. She stepped to the side when she made her last comment and ushered her in, smiling ever so slightly. "Come on in," she murmured to her. Once Nora was in the house, Kim turned and walked to the kitchen, getting out some asprin and a bottle of water, taking it quickly in hopes that the effects would soon take affect so that she'd be able to be normal with Nora and not be a debby downer. "When did you get in?" she asked her friend.

Zacky nodded his head in response to Jimmy as he asked him if they were going out to lunch with Kim and her friend. "Yeah, of course we are," he answered his best friend. "So what kind of pictures do you have this time?" Zacky asked Jimmy, raising an eyebrow at him as he set a plate in front of him. He sat down next to Jimmy with his own plate and started to eat his own, glancing over at him as he looked through his phone. He was curious to see what kind of pictures he got this time because he always seemed to get some good pictures.

Nora followed Kim into the kitchen and watched her take an aspirin with some water. "I got into California last night but I stayed the night at a hotel. Then I got up at like 6 this morning and drove my way here," replied Nora as she ran a hand through her dark hair, "So apart from helping me move in, what are you plans for today?" Nora asked.

"The pictures go from sober to not so sober," laughed Jimmy as he slide his phone over for the table for Zacky to look at. Jimmy the began to tuck into his breakfast, he was starving. "I don't think Kim intended to get so drunk last night then again I didn't plan on doing shots." Jimmy chuckled to himself as memories of last night came flooding back to him.

Kim looked over at Nora and smiled lightly as she set the water on the table, lifting her shoulder up in a slight shrug. "I was planning on us going out to lunch with a couple of the guys so that you could get to know some people that lived out here," Kim said to her. She was kind of excited to see Jimmy again even though she had just seen him last night. But it didn't really seem like she had just seen him because she was drunk and everything was a blur.

Zacky started to look through the pictures, raising an eyebrow when he saw a picture of Jimmy and Kim kissing, holding the phone up so that Jimmy could see the picture. "Did you see this one?" he asked his best friend as he snorted quietly. He had no idea anything was going on between the two but then again everyone knew that Kim and Jimmy had a thing for each other. They always had ever since they had known each other, but they would never admit it. "I don't think she even planned on drinking because her cousin was coming today."

Nora listened to what Kim had planned it be nice to get to know some people while see was here. "I could do with friends after all the drama back home," Nora smiled weakly, "When I told Alex he told Todd and well Todd has always had a field day so basically everyone in Montana hates me." It was a slight exaggeration but Nora knew Kim would understand. Nora still hated herself for throwing away her two year relationship with Alex for a drunken fling in Las Vegas. "I am assuming I'm take the spare room?" asked Nora, "I will go unpack and you can get a shower, you look like you need a bit of a wake up."

Jimmy glanced at the picture of him and Kim kissing, he wasn't all that surprised if he was honest. "You know we get a bit flirty after a few drinks," shrugged Jimmy. Jimmy would never admit that he kind of had a thing for Kim because chances are Kim didn't feel the same. "Yeah, her cousin I think is coming down. She mentioned that apparently it's all last minute," replied Jimmy, he remember Kim telling him about it, "Well you never know you might be in luck Zack, Kim's friend could be really hot." Jimmy said with a smile before finishing off his breakfast.

Kim frowned and shook her head, not liking the sound of what Nora was telling her. "Well they can all kiss ass," Kim mumbled as she nodded her head in response to what she asked about the guest room being hers. "Yeah, you're in the guest room. I'll go take a shower while you get settled in," she said quietly as she headed upstairs to her room, going inside to her conjoined bathroom to take a quick shower so they could go meet up with the guys for their lunch.

Zack finished off his breakfast and put both of their plates in the sink, yawning quietly. "Why don't we go get our showers and get dressed that way we can go meet up with Kim and her cousin than?" Zack asked, completely ignoring Jimmy's comment about the girl being hot. He didn't want to think about anyone being hot right now. Not after that one night stand in Las Vegas. Ever since then he had been lovestruck and he had been trying to figure out who the girl was.

Nora nodded she headed for her car to grab some bags and headed to the spare room. Nora opened the suitcase she had brought upstairs and pulled some clothes out of it, she would bring the rest of her stuff in later. Nora unpacked a bit more before changing into a black top and black skinny jeans, she then ran a rush through her short hair. Making a small handbag up Nora headed back downstairs for Kim, she sent a quick text to her mum and sister saying she got to California okay.

Jimmy noted Zacky's lack of response, he had been very reluctant to go out after whatever happened in Las Vegas. Jimmy had already had shower, needed to get changed really. He would have to ask Zack if he could pop to his house go get change. Also on the way back he would need Zacky to drop him off at Matt's to pick up his car.

Nora was sat in the booth with Kim, apparently Kim's friends were running late. Nora took a sip of her lemonade she order and glanced at the time on her phone. "Is there anything I should know about your friends before they turn up?" asked Nora. She didn't want to put her foot into anything.

Jimmy had made them late, he messed around decided what to where and well Zacky was less than impressed. They arrived at the restaurant and Jimmy had received a text from Kim saying that she and her cousin were already waiting for them. Jimmy entered the restaurant with Zacky and quickly ran up to the table and greeted Kim, "Kim how is your head?" asked Jimmy as he opened his arms for an embrace.

Kim shook her head with a small smile. "No, they're a very friendly bunch," she told her cousin. Kim saw Jimmy rush in the restaurant and grinned, getting up and giving Jimmy a hug when he opened his arms for an embrace from her. "My head is just fine, thank you. How is yours?" she asked him quietly as she sat down, biting down on her bottom lip. She had always had a thing for Jimmy and she had always tried to hide it for the simple fact that she didn't think he felt the same way about her. That part scared her shitless.

Zack walked into the restaurant with Jimmy and walked up to the table he saw Kim sitting at with someone who looked very familiar. When he got up to the table he finally remembered where he had seen the woman before and he stopped dead in his tracks, his blood running cold. "Holy shit," he said quietly as he stared at Nora. It was the girl he had the one night stand with in Las Vegas and he was shocked to say the least. He thought he'd never see her again.

Nora smiled at her cousin response, she then heard the call of someone and Kim was quickly embraced by a tall man. Nora stood up to greet them and then she heard an all too familiar voice. Zacky. Turning to the voice Nora was faced with the man she slept with in Las Vegas, Zacky. Never in a million years did she think she would see this man again. "This isn't real," said Nora as she cover her hands with her face, "I need some air." Nora left the booth and walked past Zacky and headed for the exit. Nora had no ill feeling toward to Zacky, she was the one that cheated but seeing him again just brought a feeling of guilt back. Nora found a wall to sit on, there she caught her breath and her thoughts.

"A little sore," admitted Jimmy as he sat down next to Kim. Jimmy then turned to Zacky and watched the color run from his face. Jimmy watched the interaction between Zacky and who he assumed was Kim's cousin who quickly left. "She was the girl from Vegas?" asked Jimmy. He already knew the answer but he was curious to why the woman made a quick exit. Jimmy turned to Kim, "What was the reason for your cousin coming to California"?

Kim watched the scene between the two and felt the color drain from her own face. The fact that it was Zacky that Nora had cheated with just made this whole thing all the more complicated. "I... I'd rather let her tell you. It's not really my business to tell," she said quietly for the fact that Zacky was there.

Zacky watched as Nora walked out and frowned as he watched her go. He didn't understand why she had reacted that way when what they did wasn't really that bad of a thing. Or at least he didn't think it was that bad of a thing. "Yeah, she was the girl from Las Vegas," Zacky mumbled before he turned and walked out of the restaurant, heading to where she was.

Nora let out a sigh as she ran a hand through her hair. What had happened happened and she couldn't change that. Nora also couldn't let Zacky think he was the blame. Groaning Nora got up off the wall and turned to head back to the restaurant to see Zacky coming out of it and heading towards her. "Hey," Nora said softly as Zacky approached, "Sorry about the whole walking out thing."

Jimmy watched Zacky leave the restaurant to find the girl. "She's not pregnant is she?" Asked Jimmy in a somewhat jokey manner. "Look we will just have to let them deal with it, there is nothing we can do." Smiled Jimmy as he offered Kim a comforting smile.

Kim rolled her eyes as Jimmy said that and she shook her head. "I don't really care, to be honest," she muttered. She didn't get in her cousins business and she wasn't going to worry about it. Kim was just offering Nora a place to stay until she got herself settled in and when she had the money to get her own place then Nora would move out and everything would be done with.

Zacky shook his head as he gave her a small smile. "Don't worry about it. Are you okay?" he asked her quietly as he stared at her a bit in confusion. He was a bit confused as to why she was acting the way she was. And he was curious as to why she was suddenly living with Kim.
