"Oh like hell we are," Chris said back. He wanted to let Sophia cling onto him, because honestly, he'd love to just close his eyes and pray it all went away, but he didn't think that was going to work. He moved away from Sophia again and picked up the chair, throwing it at the window. The crack got bigger. He picked it up and threw it at the window again and it finally broke. He covered his hand with his sleeve and punched out the rest of the glass, so they wouldn't get extremely banged up on the way out. "Hurry, get out!" Chris said, grabbing Sophia's arm and pulling her towards the window. They were on the first floor, so it wasn't a very high drop to the ground. "You're mine!" The voice said, sounding louder and angrier than before. "You'll never get away from me. You're mine!"
Peggy had tears moving down her face now, the girl now only two steps below her. "Shhh," the girl said, lifting a finger to her lips. "This wont hurt a bit." Peggy closed her eyes, turning her head away from the girl, scared she was going to attack. A few seconds later, though, the there was a quiet, tinkling laugh, and Peggy got a chill down her spine. She slowly opened her eyes, but the girl wasn't there anymore. Peggy felt like she was going to throw up. "Emmett c'mon," Peggy said, her eyes staring down the stairs where the girl once was.
