Luke bristled slightly at Calvin calling Lacey Princess and he wrapped a protective arm around her. He held her close to his side as he watched everyone quietly. This was definitely the last thing he wanted for Lacey to be involved in. He absolutely hated it. Sighing again, he pressed his face against her hair and held her close, trying to relax as best he could.

Brooke watched them for a moment before walking into the kitchen. Looking around, she found pasta and stuff to make meatballs. "I'll make dinner," she said as she began to get to work. She had spent a lot of time at the restaurant so she knew how to make a mean italian meatball. As she began getting stuff together, she was hyperaware of Calvin's presence close to her.

Lacey's eye narrowed at what Calvin said, then smiled when she felt Luke bury his face in her hair. She looked at him then took his hands and sat on the couch. She leaned against him, lacing tier fingers together. She really wanted to ask about what was goin on, but she decided to wait. She rested her head on his shoulder, "Your friend is an ass." She whispered.

Calvin leaned against the counter as he watched her. "So you just plan to ignore me this whole time?" He asked as he watched her start on the meatballs. He walked up behind her, placing his hands on either side of the counter. "You know you won't be able to keep this up." He whispered in her ear then kissed her shoulder. He smirked at her reaction then reach over her, grabbing an apple from the bowl in front of her. He took a bite of the red apple then walked out of the kitchen to look around in the dining room.

Luke looked down at her and sighed softly. "He is a little rough around the edges," he said before growing quiet when Calvin walked back in the room. "I thought you were making dinner?" he asked with a raised eyebrow. Honestly, he wanted Calvin to go and pester Brook so he could spend time with Lacey. Yeah, he was on a job at the moment but that didn't mean he couldn't take advantage of the circumstances.

Brooke let out a sift gasp when he cornered her and she fought back a moan feeling him kiss her shoulder. Looking down, she whispered, "I can try," and she hated how her voice shook. Hearing him leave, she let out a breath and her body relaxed. As she worked on the meatballs, she got hot and pulled off her long sleeved shirt, leaving her in a tight fitting tank top. Pulling her hair up in a messy bun, she slid the meatballs in the oven and started the pasta.

Lacey looked over as Calvin walked in then looked at her hands for a moment. She looked out the window next to the couch an sighed. Lacey tried to relax with Luke, but she felt weird with Calvin being there. She knew how awful he was.

Calvin shrugged in response to Luke's question. "Brooke is still being a snob." He said as he moved the curtain back some, so he could peer out the window. Calvin looked at the two of them, "I'm gonna go look around the house." He said. He didn't really care if Lacey objected to it. Calvin walked up the stairs, glancing at the pictures in the hallway. It made him sick to his stomach to think of how wonderful this girls like was. He didn't understand why Luke was trying so hard to be a part of it.

Luke looked down at Lacey for a moment and sighed softly. "I'm sorry about him. He has had it rough but trust me, he will warm up...probably," he said sheepishly as he smiled at her and kissed her forehead gently. "Have I ever told you that you are perfect and I love you?" he asked with a happy twinkle in his eye that he only got when she was around him.

Brooke sighed as the timer went off and she flipped the meatballs over. Looking out, she bit her lip gently. Getting the pasta out of the pot, she poured the water out and put it into a bowl. "Dinner is ready!" she called out before getting herself some. She sat down at the island and began eating small bites but she was more just playing with her food.

Lacey smiled, "Yes you have and I love you too." She said as she kissed him softly. She looked over when she heard Brooke's voice come from the kitchen. She stood up, then followed Luke into the kitchen. She got her food and sat across from Brooke. "Thanks for cooking." She said softly. She bit her bottom lip lightly as she started to cut her food up a bit.

Calvin hear Brooke downstairs and sighed. He walked into one of the bedrooms assuming it was Lacey's. He looked around, rolling his eyes when he saw the picture of her and Luke. Calvin set it down, then walked into the kitchen. Calvin got his food and sat down at the table in the dining room. He didn't feel like talking to any of them.

Luke got some food as well and grabbed Lacey. Leading her to the living, he sat down and smiled. He began eating and smiled gently. "Well done Brooke," he yelled into the kitchen before glancing at Lacey. "They are being moody bitches so who wants to eat with them?" he said with a teasing tone in his voice as he winked at her playfully and motioned for her to join him in the couch. He relaxed happily, pretending it was just her and him in the house, relaxing and being with each other.

Brooke watched as Calvin came in all moody and she rolled her eyes. Walking over, she slipped her arms around him, trailing them down his chest. Her boobs pressed against his back as she whispered in his ear. "What's got you all worked up?" she asked huskily, her lips brushing against his ear as she spoke. Yeah, pay back was a bitch, as long as things went her way, she thought. She kissed a trail form his ear to the back of his neck before pulling away and walking back to her seat on the island and beginning to eat.

Lacey smiled as he sat next to him on the couch. She kissed him on the cheek then started to eat. Lacey finished her food and set her plate on the table. She watched as e finished then laid down so her head was resting on his lap. She looked up at him, giggling as she poked his cheek.

Calvin smirked as he felt her wrap her arms around him. He looked at his food, "All of this." He muttered. He felt her leave, feeling the emptiness. Calvin finished his food and cleaned up his plate. He looked at Brooke, "I'm gonna head to bed." He said. "Please don't be dumb." He said. Calvin walked up the stairs, taking a shower. He pulled out his bag, pulling on a pair of boxers and basketball shorts. He laid in the comfy bed and pulled the covers over himself. He stared at the ceiling as he tried to get some rest. Calvin made sure to scoot over so there was room for Brooke.

Luke chuckled as he began to play with her hair. Sighing, he leaned his head back against the couch. "I'm tired," he said softly as he continued to run his fingers through her hair. "We should head to bed soon," he said as he opened an eye and looked down at her with a gentle smile on his face. It was a look that he reserved for her and her alone. This girl made him want to be something different, something better than what he was now.

Brooke sighed and cleaned up the kitchen before heading to bed. She quickly moved past the happy couple before walking to the guest bedroom. Seeing Calvin already there, she bit her lip gently before she pulled off her shorts and tank top, leaving her in her bra and panties. Climbing into bed, she tried her best not to touch him although her body was quickly covered in a layer of goosebumps. "Calvin?" she whispered softly.

Lacey smiled and then sat up, "Alright let's go." She said. She walked upstairs with him and got ready for bed. She laid in bed with him and snuggled up to him. "Baby how much trouble are you in?" She asked. She was really concerned that he would get hurt. Lacey held his hand and played with his fingers.

Calvin opened his eyes and looked at her. "Yea?" He muttered. He rolled onto his side and wrapped his arms around her. He ran his fingers through her hair and tried to fall back to sleep. Calvin ran his hands up her side and kissed her neck softly.

Luke looked at her for a moment and he issued her lightly. "We will be fine. We always are. It's nothing for you to worry about," he said as he tried to reassure her. "Really," he whispered against her lips before pulling away and looking down at her. "Try and get some sleep love," he whispered to her as he smiled gently. He held her close to him and began to try and relax.

"I'm sorry," she managed to say before a soft moan escaped her lips. The feeling of his lips on her skin made her toes curl. Her hands came up and balled his shirt. She didn't know if she should push him away or beg for him to keep going. Her eyes flickered shut as she moved closer to him, absorbing his warmth. Her head rested on his chest as she let his heartbeat relax her.

Lacey nodded, "Okay." She said as he snuggled against him. She closed her eyes, slowly falling asleep in his arms. Lacey was glad that she was able to spend this time with him. The next morning she woke up, sliding out of the bed. She walked downstairs, getting herself come cereal. She sat at the island as she looked at her phone and are.

Calvin woke up the next morning and got out of the bed. He took a shower then pulled on his clothes. Calvin sat down on the end of the bed as he laced up his boots then rubbed the back of his neck. He knew that he had to look into the threat that was after Brooke.

Luke looked at her for a moment and smiled softly before he shut his eyes and drifted off into a light sleep. That morning, he heard Lacey get out of bed but made no motion to follow her. he was content to lay down for a little while longer. Finally, he decided it was time to get up and he pushed himself out of bed and began getting ready for the day.

Brooke shifted slightly in her sleep and her eyes flickered open. She was greeted with the sight of Calvin's back. He seemed to be deep in thought. Pushing herself up, she moved toward her clothes and grabbed them before heading over to the shower. Opening her mouth to say something to him, she decided against it and simply walked into the bathroom.

Lacey finished her cereal, then cleaned up her bowl. She walked upstairs to her bedroom and got her clothes out of her closet. She walked I her bathroom, opening the door to see Luke was just finishing getting dressed. Lacey set her clothes on the counter then stripped down before getting into the shower.

Calvin watched as Brooke went into the bathroom, then left the room. He walked downstairs, grabbing himself something to eat. Calvin looked up when he saw his friend come into the kitchen. "We gotta figure something out today Luke." He informed him.

Luke sat down and looked at his long time partner for a moment. "What do you suggest we do? It's not like we are at liberty to be out and about at the moment," he said honestly as he ran his fingers through his hair. "I don't want to be stuck here but until it is deemed safe, I think here is our only option," he said as he leaned back against his chair. "If we leave and someone sees us, they will know where to find Brooke. I'm sure that someone must have seen us leave together last night," he said.

Brooke finished getting ready and walked downstairs. Seeing the boys talking, she sat down to listen in. She bit her lip gently. "We could try and get in touch with the higher ups," she said. "I could call Jason?" she asked although the thought sent a tremble through her spine. He had been wanting her for a while, to use her as a pawn to advance. he was hands and ruthless and scared the shit out of her but he was a good informant.

Lacey finished getting ready, then walked downstairs. She sat on the couch in the living room as the three of them talked. She didn't want to get involved with this more than she already was. Lacey sighed as she ran her fingers through her hair. She held the remote in her hand as she flipped through the channels.

Calvin shook his head at Brooke's proposal, "No he's the last person I want involved." He said. He couldn't stand Jason and he felt like he couldn't trust the guy. Calvin looked at Luke, "We will lay low a little longer and see how thigs work out." He said. He looked down at his hands, hating that they couldn't leave this house.

Luke nodded and ran his fingers through his hair. "I'm sorry. I know you hate it," he said as he touched his partner's shoulder. "But it is the best we have at the moment. I will try and get in touch with some people and see if I can figure out what is going on," he said as he turned and headed out into the living room. Seeing Lacey, he smiled gently at her.

Brooke looked at Calvin for a moment. She pushed herself up and got some coffee before looking out the window. "Do you not want me to call Jason for a legitimate reason or because I slept with him?" she asked. She hadn't actually but she wanted to test Calvin's limits. She knew he was possessive and for some reason, she wanted to see how much.

Lacey smiled at him and snuggled against him as he sat down. She looked out the window as it started to rain. "It hasn't rained in a long time.l she whispered as she took his hand in hers. She looked at their fingers as they laced together.

Calvin frowned at what she said, "The guy is a snake and I don't trust him. You're dumb for even sleeping with him." He said as he crossed his arms. "So no I don't want you to get ahold of him." He said. He looked in the fridge, grabbing a bottle of water out of it. "It's like these people are against soda." He muttered.

Luke looked out the window for a moment and nodded slightly. "Yeah," he said thoughtfully. "It has been a while." Sighing softly, he leaned down and kissed her forehead again gently before he relaxed against the couch. "I am going to have to start working at some point," he said with a sigh.

Brooke bristled at his comment and turned away. Why did she bother, she thought as she bit her lip. "Maybe you should think about living a healthier lifestyle," she said as she ran her fingers through her hair. Watching the rain fall, she bit he flip gently. Although she did hate him sometimes, she hoped her father was okay.

Lacey looked at her, "I thought you couldn't leave here for awhile?" She asked. Lacey pulled a blanket over them and rested her head on his shoulder. She didn't want to lose him or see him get hurt. She sighed as she relaxed back against the couch.

Calvin looked at her, "Brooke I get shot at most of the time. I think I should be able to enjoy a coke now and then." He said. "You know because I could end up dead tomorrow." He muttered. He leaned against the counter, taking a sip of his water.
