Lacey looked at him for a moment then nodded. She took his hand, walking downstairs with him. She heard the talking top as they came down the stairs. Lacey held Luke's hand until they got to the kitchen. She got the stuff out to make chocolate chip cookies then kissed him again.

Calvin shook his head, "It wasn't you." He said, pausing as Luke and Lacey went into the kitchen. "I was upset with myself." He informed her. He sighed looking down at his boots.

Luke looked at the two talking in the living room for a moment before following Lacey into the kitchen. Hopefully they would work things out, he thought as he ran his fingers through his hair. "So what kind of cookies are we making?" he asked.

Brooke's eyes flicked up to his face as confusion showed on her face. "How...why?" she asked tentatively. She watched him closely. Her eyes searching his face and body language for the answers she didn't yet grasp.

Lacey smiled, "Chocolate chip." She said as she started to make the cookie dough. "Can you grabbed me a cookie sheet from the cabinet over there please?" She asked.

Calvin sighed, "I'm the one who said it was okay for your guards to leave you alone." He said. He shook his head as he let go of her, "I'm sorry." He said.

Luke looked at her and nodded. He followed her instructions and walked over and grabbed the cookie sheet. Setting it on the counter, he smiled gently at her. "What now?" he asked.

Brooke watched him. "You had no idea what was going to happen Calvin. You can't blame yourself for what happened," she said as she stepped closer to him and touched his cheek. "I don't blame you," she whispered.

Lacey smiled, "We roll these then place them one the cookie sheet." She said as she started to roll some of the cookie dough in her hands after washing them.

Calvin sighed, "Well you should." He said as he pulled away from her touch. He looked at the time, "I'm leaving don't say anything to Luke until I'm gone." He said. He kissed her softly then stepped pass her. He left, shutting the door quietly then headed down the street and out of sight.

Luke looked at her for a moment and smiled gently as he began to copy her motions. This was interesting, he thought as he helped her with a gentle smile on his face.

Brooke watched him for a moment before biting her lip. She ran her fingers through her hair and sat down on the couch. He was leaving her again, she thought.

Lacey smiled after she put then in the oven then cleaned up. She looked at him and kissed him softly. Lacey walked out with him, seeing Brooke alone.

Calvin sighed as he pulled his hood up as he walked down the street, his boots splashing through the puddles as the rain poured down. He walked into downtown, meeting the young kid in the gang. Calvin walked down the street and stopped when a car slowed down as they walked. He looked over, seeing it was the gang they were against. He grabbed the kids jacket and pulled him as they ran down the street. He turned down an alley with the kid, sprinting. He got to the fence, looking at the kid. He handed the kid the address to Lacey's and a map of the rivals gangs hideout he stole. "Go. Don't look back you hear me! I'm gonna be right behind you." He yelled as he heard their car doors shutting. He helped the kid over the fence seeing him take off running. Calvin climbed the fence and took off. He went the opposite way of the kid as a distraction and pulled himself onto one of the roofs. He went off the other side of the roof and ran into a business building. He got into te elevator with a bunch of people, relieved when the doors closed before the gag could get in. He went to the top, going to the roof of the skyscraper. He walked, feeling te wind against him. He sighed as he looked out over the city.

Kyle ran up to Lacey's house and beat on the door, looking behind him not seeing Calvin. "Brooke! Luke! Open up!" He yelled. Kyle immediately entered as the door opened. He looke at then, taking out the map, handing it to Luke. "Calvin said he was right behind me." He panted as he looked out the window. He bit his bottom lip lightly when he didn't see the guy who was like a big brother to him. He looked at then, "Do you think they caught him?" He asked.

Luke looked up when there was pounding on the door and he motioned for Lacey to stay put. Hearing a familiar voice, he ran and slammed the door open. Seeing Kyle's panicked face, He yanked the boy inside and looked at him. "What the hell happened?" he asked as he looked at the papers in Kyle's hand. Seeing that one of them had Lacey's address, he snatched it and threw it into his pocket, he would burn it later. "What the fuck do you mean? Who was after you guys?" he demanded as he grabbed Kyle's collar and pulled him closer. "Stat fucking talking...now Kyle," he demanded as he shoved the boy onto the couch and stood over him....waiting.

Brooke jumped up when the noise happened and she barely had time to process everything before Luke was over Kyle, demanding information. "Calvin left to go deal with this...He didn't tell me what he was planning, just that he was going to fix everything," Brooke said before she balled her hands into fists. "I shouldn't have let him go," she whispered. Looking at Kyle, she say the panic on the boy's face and she walked over and sat down. "I won't tell anyone," she said as she hugged him gently before looking at Luke. "Lay off Luke," she said. "There isn't much we can do now but hope," she said as she ran her fingers through her hair and sighed softly.

Kyle looked at Luke, fearful of the man in front of him. He looke at Brooke, "He just sai to meet him down town. He gave me the paper and a car pulled up then he took off running with me. He told me to run and that he was behind me. That is all I know." He said. Kyle sighed as he looke down at his hands. "I hope he gets here soon." He said.

Calvin took off down the street when he was sure that he was clear. He got to the house and knocked. Calvin sighed as Luke let him in. He pulled his hood down, looking over to see Kyle. "You alright kid?" He asked.

Luke looked at the boy for a moment before watching as Calvin came in. He clenched his fingers into fists before he slammed his fist into Calvin's face. "You little fucking shit," he yelled. "What the fuck were you thinking?" he yelled as he struggled against whoever was holding him back. He didn't care, he was blind with rage at his best friend not trusting him and almost getting himself killed.

Brooke watched as Luke punched Calvin and although she thought it was deserved, she jumped between the two of them. "Luke calm down!" she yelled before turning her back to him and looking at Calvin. "Are you okay? Did anyone follow you here?" she asked as she watched him closely for a moment. She tried to stay calm as she watched the two guys.

Lacey gasped when Luke hit Calvin, "Luke stop." She said. She crossed her arms when he looke at her. She hated seeing him like this. Lacey bit her bottom lip lightly.

Calvin frowned at him, rubbing his jaw. He pushed her hand away, "I'm fine." He said as he stood up. He shook his head, "I made sure I lost then before I came over." He said.

Luke took in a shuddering breath and he sighed. "You are a moron for doing what you did," he muttered darkly as he turned and moved away from Calvin. "If anything happens to this house, I will hold you personally responsible."

Brooke yanked her hand away and moved away from him. Since Calvin didn't want her help, she was done offering. Looking at Kyle, she motioned for him to follow her into the kitchen. She knew she could convince the boy to do almost anything for her.

Lacey watched a Luke for a moment then quietly went to her room. She got ready for bed and sat down. Lacey opened her book she was reading and tried to relax. She wasn't sure what she got herself into but she was scared.

Calvin sighed as he sat on the couch. He thought he did something good but he was wrong. He looked at Luke, "give the boss the map." He said as he stood up and walked onto the back porch. He lit a cigarette and sighed.

Luke sighed as he took the map and looked down at it. His eyes widened slightly. Holy shit, he thought, this could make or break them. He quickly stuffed it into his pocket before heading upstairs to Lacey.

Brooke looked at Kyle. "Go outside and distract Calvin," she said. His eyes widened and it took a little convincing but soon, he was at the back porch with Calvin and she was slipping out the front door.

Lacey looked up as Luke walked in, "Hey." She said softly. She set her book down and watched him for a moment. "Everything okay now?" She asked as she laid down on the bed.

Calvin listened to Kyle for a bit then out his cigarette out. He walked inside, taking one of the cookies off the plate, "Kyle never go down looks path." He said as he ate the cookie. "Or you will be baking cookies." He muttered.

Luke looked at her for a moment as he sat down heavily on the bed. "I am going to make sure everything is okay," he promised to himself and her as he tried to relax.

Brooke got to a pay phone and called her dad before she bit her lip. She went to the supermarket and got hair dye and scissors before going to a gas station and using it.

Lacey moved over to him and kissed his cheek. "I know you can do that." She said as she kissed him softly.

Calvin walked up to his bedroom, frowning when he saw that she was there. He pulled his shirt off then walked downstairs to see of Brooke was in the living room. Calvin frowned then walked up to Lacey's room, knocking on the door.

Luke looked up when someone knocked on the door and he stood up. Walking over, he pulled it open to see Calvin. "What?" he asked as he watched him for a moment. "What's wrong?"

Brooke changed into some clothes she got and with her new hair style, she was satisfied she wouldn't be recognized any time soon. Heading out, she walked along the highway toward their base.

Lacey frowned as he got up, looking at the troubled face on Calvin. She sighed and laid back on the bed. She really wanted to be alone with him for a bit.

Calvin frowned, "Brooke ran off and I can't find her anywhere." He said as he rubbed the back of his neck. Calvin was really worried about her.

Luke pushed himself up and sighed. "Fuck, well, now we go find her," he said with a frown as he moved toward the door. "Where would she go?" he asked as he headed toward the door.

Brooke got to the base and walked in. She was quickly assessed as not a threat and she moved further into the building. She took a deep breath and grabbed a gun before heading out the back way again.
