Riley stayed laying next to him for a moment longer and even with everything that'd just happened she couldn't help but smile right now. She hadn't even realized how badly she'd missed Carlos until now. Seeing him earlier that day had been great yes, but right now felt just like when they were in high school again. Here they were laying comfortably on her couch just like they used to. There was a bag of movies that they probably hadn't watched in a really long time and junk food that she'd probably stopped eating after she'd gotten with Jeremy and went through a phase where she hadn't wanted to gain all kinds of weight and end up not liking her own body. But it felt really good to just be laying here with a bag of movies and junk food like they were 17 again. "I just wanted you to know that I appreciate that."
Jax wouldn't say no to being there and being a part of his son's life, and he wasn't going to say no to being able to do fatherly things for his son that he'd already missed out on. He felt like he had a lot of catching up to do given the little guy was already two. He finally stood up from the table and went to pick the little guy up and rest him on his hip. "Bed time buddy." He said smiling at his son and turning take him to his room. "Can you tell daddy where your room is?" He asked smiling at the little boy in his arms. And it was adorable when he stuck out his tired arm and pointed towards his room, which Jax headed towards. Once he'd walked into the room he set him in his bed and took a seat next to it picking up a book close to the bed. "Story dada?" He heard Thomas said in his tired little voice and Jax just nodded his head. "Yea little man I'll read you a story." He said opening the book.
