Seize the Day

Sage sat in her pajamas, her hair thrown up in a ponytail, with her laptop, looking over the recent pictures she had taken. Photography was a hobby for her, but she loved it, especially when she got to photograph Brian, he was one of her best friends and right now, she missed him.

Jimmy laughed, spinning his drumsticks in hand as he watched Brian get frustrated every time he messed up a part. "Having some problems, Haner?" He teased, being around his friends was the best part of his job, he couldn't be happier with his life.

Brian took and looked at Jimmy narrowing his eyes, "Yeah some." Brian sighed leaning back into the chair running a hand over his face. "I miss Sage." Brian admitted to Jimmy sighing a little. "I can't explain it but the last photo shoot she did for Papa and I, I just---fucking miss her." Brian sighed putting his guitar aside and leaning forwards burying his face into his hands.

Lucy sat in her over sized office sighing to herself. Running her fingers through her loose brown curls she sighed looking over the computer screen, and the band name that was flashing. Avenged Sevenfold was flashing, that was her next client for a video. She was one of the biggest music director's in Hollywood. She bit her lip lightly seeing Jimmy's picture. She hadn't even heard his name in so long, not even from her best friend, Sage. She was hoping this would go, she had missed Jimmy, but they'd lost contact for sometime now.

Sage picked her favorite group of pictures from the photo shoot and decided to send them to Brian. A light laugh escaped her lips when she found a picture from the shoot when Brian's dad took the camera and got a few pictures of her with Brian messing around.

Jimmy nodded, knowing that Brian had certain feelings towards Sage, "It can't be all bad man, at least you two have kept in touch and she still does stuff with you when she can, not like Lucy..." He said barely above a whisper, not wanting anyone to hear it.

Brian frowned at Jimmy as he got up and man hugged his best friend, "I am sure things will work out Jim." Brian said leaving the studio. He sat in his car seeing the pictures that Sage had just sent. He laughed at the one's his dad had taken of him and Sage together. He saved them as he backed out dialing Sage's number.

Lucy sighed walking out of her office as she took and bit her lip going to the elevator. Once she was off of it she took and headed for Avenged's studio. Whens he arrived she saw two cars parked there. She walked in chewing the inside of her lip, "Hello?" She called out.

Sage hadn't been paying attention, being distracted by the pictures, when her phone rang. She answered, not noticing that it was Brian, she put the phone on speaker, "Hello?" She said, smiling at the pictures on the screen.

Jimmy watched as Brian left before going back to practicing with his drums, he hadn't heard Lucy walk in, but stopped quickly when he heard her voice, "Um, in here?" He called out, not looking over his shoulder.

Brian smiled hearing her voice as he let a soft chuckle out, "Papa can sure take some good pictures." He complimented his father's work as he chuckled some more. "So do you want to take and go out for lunch?" Brian asked Sage smiling.

Lucy walked to where she heard his voice and bit down on her lip seeing him sitting there twirling his drumsticks. She let a sigh escape her lips lightly as she saw him turn to face her. "I'm the music producer you guys are going to be working with for this video." She said softly.

Sage smiled, "He takes some pretty interesting ones that's for sure." She laughed softly, "I'd love to go out for lunch, do you want me to meet you somewhere or are you coming to get me?"

Jimmy nodded, he knew she looked familiar, "The rest of the guys should be back in a little while. Brian just took off to see a friend for lunch and honestly, I don't know where the others are." He laughed softly.

"I'll be there in a few." Brian spoke to Sage before ending the phone call as he drove towards her house. Within ten minutes he pulled up to Sage's house getting out of the car. He walked up to the front door ringing the bell as he waited.

Lucy looked at Jimmy and heard his laughter. She smiled at how it sounded just like it had all those years. She frowned a little as she bit on her lip, wondering what caused both of them to fall out from talking to one another. "Ok." She said lightly standing awkwardly.

Sage rushed around the house to find a pair of jeans and a tank top. She opened the door, smiling when Brian pulled in. Walking out to his car, she got in and smiled, "Where we going?" She asked.

Jimmy smiled over at her, "So how's life going Lucy?" He asked, spinning his drumsticks in his hands. "From what I've heard, you're pretty good at doing your job."

Brian smiled at Sage, "Wherever you want." He said pulling out as he headed down main going to wherever she wanted too, to eat at.

Lucy nodded her head, "Yeah." She replied softly. "You're doing awesome too. A big time drummer, in a big time band. Just like you planned." She said.

Sage smiled, suggesting the little diner they usually went to, "I just want a burger and some fries." She said, watching out the window.

Jimmy smiled, "I guess. I'm just happy to be able to work with my friends." He chuckled softly, "It's hard but it's worth all the work."

Brian smiled and drove to the diner. He pulled into a park spot and smiled as they went inside together. He sat down at the booth and ordered her burger and fries and him one too. He smiled at her, "So what have you been up to lately?" He asked her.

Lucy sat down on the sofa crossing her legs carefully due to her dress. She smiled, "You guys are amazing. I was honored when Larry came to me with this idea." She smiled at him placing her hands in her lap. "Jimmy." She began. "I am so sorry we lost contact like we did..." She paused wondering if she should go further or not.

Sage smiled as she waited for her food, shrugging at his question, "Just doing some photo shoots and stuff like that. Lately I've been focused on getting the pictures for you and Papa Gates done first."

Jimmy smiled, running a hand through his hair, "We've done pretty good for ourselves I guess." Hearing her talk about them losing contact, he nodded, "So am I. We've both been busy though, and it's understandable."

Brian grinned at her and smiled, "Well that is nice." Brian said to her and saw their food coming. He took and drunk some on his Pepsi as he watched Sage eat on her food. "This is nice just hanging out." Brian smiled at her.

Lucy felt a hand like squeeze her heart as she nodded her head, "Guess so." She said lightly as she sighed. "Jimmy the night that big fight happened. I was on my way to talk to you. To admit stuff to you. But Leana told me you two were an item, then. So I left and just decided to let you be happy with her." Lucy bluntly said sighing a little.

Sage ate some of her food before smiling at Brian, "Yeah, I always enjoy when we can hangout." She said softly, brushing some of her hair behind her ear, "How's everything going?"

Jimmy stopped when he heard her mention Leana, "Honestly? We were an item, but if you would have told me how you feel, I probably would have given us a chance..." He said honestly.

Brian nodded, "It's going." He admitted to Sage and smiled eating some of his food. He lent across the table brushing some hair out of her face and smiling as he went back to eating.

Lucy frowned and nodded, "I should've just went with my gut." She said lightly. "I am so sorry Jim." She whispered.

She couldn't help the light blush crossed her cheeks when he brushed her hair away from her face. "Well, that's good." She said honestly, not entirely sure what else she should say. Sage had always had feelings towards Brian, but never thought he saw her that way.

Jimmy looked at her, "Hey, there's nothing to be sorry for, Lucy." He said with a smile, "Having a relationship with Leana wasn't my best idea, but sometimes you have to go through things like that before you get what you really want."

Brian smiled at her as he finished the food up, "Yeah." He smiled to her. He lent back into the booth allowing her to finish eating. He had always liked her more than their friendship. But he truly didn't know how to act on them, or if he should even tell her.

Lucy let a soft chuckle escape her lips, "Ok." She said softly and sat there. She took and smiled lightly at him before looking at her watch. She had another meeting in thirty minutes as she looked at Jimmy.

Sage finished her food, once the bill came and the food was paid for, she got up and smiled, "Shouldn't you be getting back to the studio?" She asked as they walked out to his car.

Jimmy thought for a moment before speaking up, "Lucy, I was thinking, if you're not busy sometime, we should go for dinner, catch up, what do you think?" He asked, a little nervous to hear her answer.
