  • James shook his head and chuckled. "Nah, I'm done." Only because he didn't want to leave. He liked being here - he would convince her he was good.

Addie crossed her arms and ran a hand through her hair. She was going away - and she would put him out of her mind, because she was sick of worrying about him.

"Don't you have somewhere to be, anyhow?" It didn't seem like it, but she sure hoped so. She wasn't sure what else she could do to keep him busy.

    -

"Gone." The blond emerged from the back room, letting out an exasperated sigh. "You let her get drunk and escort her home and never hear the end of it."

  • James chuckled and shook his head. "Nah, but I get the point. You want me to leave. I'll be gone." He said, rolling his eyes.

Addie's head was still pounding and she went back home and crawled back into bed. Why has he been such a jackass? She hated him.

"Where do you live, anyway?" The girl spoke up, curiosity taking over. She'd never seen his house, never even been near it. She had to know.

    -

His friend was laughing and so was he, and before they knew it, it was time to open the bar and retreat to the back to wait for the first few early birds to trickle in.

  • James looked at her in curiosity and shrugged. "You know - my part of town.. Shitty area, but the place is nice." He sighed then and stood. "Maybe i should go."

Addie didn't know what to do, so she figured she would go out tonight. Her friend suggested just spending a night on the town - and perhaps that was a good idea.

"I want to see it, I mean." The redhead blurted out, figuring he probably wouldn't just take the hint and invite her along.

    -

People began milling in, some buying drinks and some settling down to mingle sober for a few hours. Overall, Jackson wasn't kept busy.
    November 4th, 2014 at 02:06am
  • James smiled and then nodded his head. "Okay - sure!" He said with a smile. "We have to go into a bad part of town but it Will be okay."

Her friend took her back to the bar and she groaned. "Ugh, I don't want to be here! I hate him!" She motioned to the bartender who her friend didn't even know was her fiancé.

Saying it was finally enough for him to understand, and she nodded, pulling her hair back into a ponytail and disappearing upstairs to change.

    -

She was back again, this time with a friend that was probably just as annoying. "Take these two for me. And remember, she hates me. She'll remind you."
    November 4th, 2014 at 02:49am
  • James smiled. She was going to his place? That was weird. He hoped it was clean - he wanted to impress her.

Addie glared at him from across the way. "Keep that bastard away from me." She warned the bartender. just a water for me

She came back down a few minutes later in a pair of jeans and sandals, and looked him over. He was still in what he'd been wearing the day before, but it wasn't like she had anything to offer him. "Come on, then."

    -

The man chuckled lowly, pouring a drink for another girl that regularly stopped by the bar and tended to hit on him. "This one's on me." He winked, hoping the girl that was making a scene noticed.
    November 4th, 2014 at 03:55am
  • James smiled lightly and nodded. "You're uhh.. pretty..." He said in a new tone than ever before and then looked down ashamed. "Come on. Just promise me you'll stay close. It's not the best part of town." He repeated.

Addie saw the wink and the way the girl looked at him and rolled her eyes. Yeah, he could rub it in her face all he wanted that she was betrothed to him - but he couldn't care less about her - and that annoyed her. She groaned and rolled her eyes. "Actually, any alcohol would do good right now." She said to the bartender.

"Um... thanks." She wasn't used to being complimented by the man, especially in that manner, but she tried to take it in stride, and nodded when he asked her to promise to stay close.

    -

The bartender glanced over at Jackson, who gave him the slightest shake of his head. "Considering how drunk you got last night, perhaps a water would be best." Kraemer then returned to watching the other girl slink off with her drink, pretending that he'd never interfered with Adelaide's request for alcohol.

  • James sighed and nodded his head. "No problem." He said as he went out the front door and then he started to walk. He kept his eyes on her in his peripherl vision and then smiled. It was good to see her interested at least.

Addie glared at him. "What the hell - no! You don't control me! Alcohol please." It was all to spite him - because she was sick of him thinking everything was about him. It definitely was not - and she was sick of him thinking that way.

The redhead tagged along behind him, her ponytail swinging behind her in a sort of rhythm. The air had adopted a sort of crisp chill, and she wad glad she'd had the sense to wear a jacket.

    -

"I'm the bartender, and I have the right—the duty, actually, to deny someone alcohol when they clearly don't need it or have had enough." His friend said matter-of-factly. They didn't need another incident with the girl. "She makes an obnoxious drunk."

  • james smiled. Luckily no one bad was out today so he got through hassle-free and he was able to just take her to his place. It was a normal house - nothing too special in his mind, but it stood out among the rest and was quite a spectacle. It was no wonder he wasn't liked. "Here we are!" He said wifh a smile.

Addie rolled her eyes. "Oh please - who's to say that anyone in this room needs alcohol? How can you deny me that right anymore than the next? I'm a paying customer. Just because the bastard wants to ruin my night doesn't mean you have to." She stated witily.

The little redhead stepped inside and placed her coat on a hook, nodding politely. It wasn't nearly as bad as she'd thought, considering the way he acted. "It's nice."

    -

"No can do. He's in charge here, anyway. If he says no alcohol, that's it." Jackson was almost laughing now, but no longer on his own. The girl from earlier had returned for another drink, and was in the process of telling him a story.
    November 4th, 2014 at 05:01am
  • James chuckled. "You don't have to be polite. If you hate it you can tell me." he teased her lightly and then shook his head. "come on - I'll give you the full tour!" He teased.

Addie was just about to retaliate but she looked up to see Jackson flirting with some girl - and no matter how much she hated to admit it - she hated that. How could he rub the betrothal in her face and flirt? That annoyed her more than anything. "Come on... Just - please?"

"I don't hate it. It's nice." She didn't have any complaints to voice about the place. Really, she was impressed, and followed behind him when he offered a tour.

    -

"Sorry, sweetie. You'll have to take it up with him." Kraemer could always count on him to stand firm, even in the face of a whining brunette. "What are you doing later tonight?" Her response was cheeky, and he gave her another drink as a sort of reward.
    November 4th, 2014 at 05:17am
  • James smiled and nodded. "Good." He said. Maybe he could convince her to stay some time. He had to gain her trust somehow, didnt he? And he would do it somehow...

Addie rolled her eyes and shook her head. Right - he just wanted to get under her skin. "You're a bastard, Jackson Kraemer." She called, annoyed with the girl that was still around him and how he was flirting with her. What the hell was that?!

She ran her hands along things as she passed, light eyes trying to take everything in in what little time she had.

    -

The other man retreated to deal with another customer, one Jackson hadn't denied alcohol. "I get off at two. See you then?" The blond grinned, laughing to himself when the girl blew him a kiss and strode off. He paid little mind to the girl yelling insults at him from across the bar.
