Ronnie pulled up to his old high school friend Sage's house. He hadn't seen her in so long but today he got the intuition that he should go visit her. He got out of his car and walked up to the door, knocking on it. He knew Sage still lived here because she was friends with his cousin and they always hung out. Ronnie chewed on his bottom lip as he waited for someone, hopefully Sage, to answer the door.

Zoey had received the strangest text from her life long best friend Max this morning. She hadn't spoken to him in over two, maybe three, years. He texted her, asking her to meet him at the old clubhouse. The clubhouse in particular was one that Max's dad and Zoey's dad had built for the two of them when they were in about second grade. The two of them would always go there when they wanted to hang out. So when she got the text this morning, she immediately started the walk to the wooded area behind Max's house, since that's where the clubhouse was, and when she got there she didn't see him. She frowned, looking around, before pulling her phone out, "are you here?" she sent to him.

Hearing a knock at her door, Sage put down her laptop and made her way over, opening the door. A look of pure shock crossed her face when she saw the man she hadn't spoken to in years standing on her front porch. "Ronnie, please, come in." She said as she stepped to the side and let him in, she couldn't remember the last time the two of them had talked. Seeing him now made her wonder why he was there.

Max had finally gotten the nerve to text Zoey, of course they had been close years ago, but they hadn't spoken to each other since. He missed having her around, sure he had other friends, but none compared to Zoey. Receiving her text, he quickly sent a reply. Im walking back right now, shouldn't take too long. As he reached the clubhouse, he smiled seeing Zoey waiting for him just like old times, "Hey Zoe..." He said softly as he got closer to her.

Ronnie smiled and walked in, "you remember me...I'm shocked." he chuckled softly. He closed her door behind her and took off his jacket, hanging it on the coat rack. "I can't believe you're still living here, I figured you would have moved out of Vegas by now." he joked, watching her. She was just as beautiful, if not more now, than she was the last time he saw her.

Zoey smiled when she heard Max's voice, "Max, hey..." she said giving him a quick hug. She pulled back, slipping her phone into her hoodie. "So what's up? I thought you might have killed someone and needed help hiding the body when you texted." she joked.

Sage couldn't help laughing softly at his words, "How could I now remember you? Honestly?" She ran a hand through her hair, "I've thought about leaving...it might happen eventually, but first I need to get the money to move out of this place." She sighed, looking over at him, "But anyway, I'm shocked you remember where I live, what made you stop by?"

Shaking his head, Max smiled over at Zoey, "If I needed help hiding the body, I would have called you, not sent a text that could be traced." He grinned, laughing, "Honestly, I want to catch up. It's been years since we've talked and I've been thinking about you lately, and I want to know what you've been up to." He told her, not mentioning that Ronnie had decided to go visit Sage and that had given him the idea to get a hold of Zoey.

"My cousin said she hung out with you the other day and told me you still lived here so here I am." Ronnie grinned at her.

"Well I haven't done much. I still work at Hot Topic. How is Ronnie's new band?" Zoey asked. She knew Falling in Reverse wasn't new but it was in a way to Max.

Sage nodded, "Right, I should have figured as much." She laughed softly, smiling, "So, how's the band going?" She asked, she had heard the band but never really paid much attention to it.

Max shrugged, "It's another band, but I think this one is good for Ronnie. He needed a fresh start and that's what he's getting. Plus, the guys are pretty awesome and laid back. It's a nice change."

"The band is great now that I'm playing with Max again." Ronnie says with a huge grin on his face.

"Do you still talk to Craig?" Zoey asked as she pulled out a cigarette, offering Max one.

"I'm glad you two are friends again." Sage said honestly, "You two need each other whether you realize it or not."

Max nodded, "Yeah, we still talk once in awhile." He took a cigarette from her and lit it, "I just haven't talked to him lately."

"Yeah I know. I missed him a lot...and I'm glad he's forgave me for all the shit we did when we were dumb kids." Ronnie said.

"He asked me out the other night. I think he wasdrunk though." Zoey said as she lit her own cigarette.

"Good you two made stupid mistakes, it's nice that you're able to get along." She smiled, "Can I get you anything? Feel free to make yourself at home." Sage told him.

Max felt his body tense slightly at those words, there was no way he'd let Craig take Zoey on a date. "He probably was, what did you say to him?" He asked, just out of curiosity.

"I'm sorta hungry...you got anything good to eat?" Ronnie asked as he scratched his neck.

"No. Just like I've said the other times he or any of your friends have asked me out." Zoey said.

Sage nodded, "I was actually about to make burgers for lunch, is that alright with you?" She asked.

Max nodded, "I figured, I'm sorry they're always doing that. It's gotta get annoying, right?"

Ronnie nodded, "I love burgers. Need some help?"

"Yeah especially when I only like one person. I don't think it would work." Zoey said.

Sage shook her head, "I got it under control, don't worry. You make yourself comfortable."

Max nodded, taking another hit from his cigarette and dropped it on the ground, stomping it out. "I can understand that, it's pointless to try and be with someone you don't really want."

"Holler if you need help." Ronnie said before sitting down on her couch. He wanted to tell her that he has had a crush on her since nineth grade but he still couldn't build up the courage.

"How's your love life?" Zoey asked, also stomping her cigarette out.

Sage smiled, "I'll let you know if I need help, Ronnie." She walked into the kitchen and started throwing together the food.

"It's the same, I haven't had a relationship in awhile though, kind of gave up after I realized I love someone else." Max said honestly, running a hand through his hair.

Ronnie got up and went to thr kitchen, "what do you have to drink?"

"Oh really? Have you told her?" Zoey asked. She looked up at the sky as clouds rolled in.

"Um, I have water, some pop, a little of everything." Sage laughed softly, "What would you like to drink?"

Max shook his head, "I haven't had the courage to say anything to her." He sighed, "I want to wait until I get an idea of how she feels about me."

"Soda is fine. I'll get it," Ronnie said and got up, "remember prom night?" He chuckled as he got down a cup.

"I'm sure she likes you. I mean who wouldn't like you." Zoey said, pinching his cheek.
