Wolves

Cheryl stood beside her friend, Audrey as they stood watching the full moon rise. Halloween wasn't too far off, both their favorite holiday of the season. "So Todd was thinking of throwing a party out at the old family cemetery that we got in that open field near my rents house." Cheryl told Audrey wondering what her opinion was on that.

Chris stood with Ricky his arms crossed over his chest. The moon was rising slowly tonight as he looked at his dear friend, "Almost time to change." Chris muttered a little watching the moon with his dark eyes.

Audrey nodded. "It would freak out my sister, and not make her want come around us for a change," she replied. She looked up at the full moon, excited about the talk of Halloween parties. "Any idea on what you are gonna be for Halloween?"

Ricky could already feel the energy that came from the shift. He was getting excited watching the moon come up. He glanced at Chris which was one of his closest friends. Ricky could see the energy coming off of Chris as well. Something was gonna happen he could just feel it.

Cheryl shook her head looking up at the moon, "I do agree with that about your sister." She grinned slyly and sighed. "Not really. Todd said I should go as a biker chick. I told him to bite my ass. My older brother is so stupid." She laughed running a hand through her hair. "Might go as a french maid or a sexy kitty..." She grinned at Audrey, "Rawrrr." She put out like a cat laughing.

"You feel it too?" Chris asked glancing over at Ricky. He knew he could feel the energy. The shift was beginning to take place as he felt his bones breaking as his wolf form began taking him over as he took and began screaming out as the transition began.

Audrey laughed. "I was going to be a sexy kitty," she teased her friend. "I think I'll be a bunny. I already have the ears." A light breeze brushed her hair away from her face. "Do you think that will scare off the monsters? Or should I steal Todd's idea?"

Ricky felt the transformation ripple through his bones, changing his shape into a wolf. He went running after Chris with the rest of his pack. His dark black fur waved with the wind and the speed of his running. Ricky was the only wolf with only black on his entire coat in the pack.

Cheryl laugh, "I think you're good as the bunny." She grinned winking at her as she laughed. "Todd is some sick fuck that has a lot of issues since he got dumped." She grinned at her friend as she took and felt the breeze as it brushed her skin. "I love this Autumn breeze." She whispered lightly.

Chris ran through the wooded area as his grey and black fur blew through the wind. He took and kept running a he took and howled up at the moon signaling to his pack it was time to hunt, and protect their land from any other creature that dared to step foot on it. He stopped catching a smell of something in the air. The scent was so light, so sweet. He took and began chasing after the scent.

Audrey smiled feeling the wind. "I know. I just love it," she agreed. She also couldn't help but agree on the fact that Cheryl's brother had gotten weird. She really didn't know how to describe it. Audrey didn't even know if she should bring it up.

Ricky followed his alpha and caught a scent. It was amazing, and curious about it as well. He pushed his body as fast as he could go almost at the same pace as Chris.

Cheryl sat down on the small hillside and sighed staring out at the beautiful night time scene that laid before her eyes. The wind began to pick up as it made her hair blow all over, "Do you feel like something big is going to happen?" She asked Audrey.

Chris came to a stop spotting two females on a hillside chatting. He stood there watching the two as he soon saw Ricky at his side. That's where the scent came from. He mentally talked to Ricky.

"Like something life changing is gonna happen? I thought I was the only one," Audrey admitted. She breathed in the night air and looked around the sounds of owls had hushed around them, making her wonder was was in the trees. She looked around and thought she spotted a dog, but wasn't sure from the distance.

I know, and it's getting intoxicating. Ricky replied. It seemed now that they were so close to the two girls the more the smell that one of them gave off was driving him wild. He knew off only one thing that could cause this, and he couldn't believe that it was happening.

Cheryl shook her head, "No you're not the only one." She admitted to her and bit her lip. She looked around as she spotted what looked like a large dog. She took and poked Audrey, "Do you see a dog or two?" She whispered.

I believe this could be it, Ricky. This could be our...mates. Chris replied. The smell was getting more and more intoxicating. He couldn't explain it. But he needed to get her.

Audrey nodded and looked at the dogs. She could see two, but her eyes froze on one for a second. She couldn't tell exactly what they looked like from the distance and the lack of sunlight. She was tempted to get as close to the as could and wished that she had a camera for this.

Ricky knew that this was the only explanation of why they followed the scent. It wasn't an animal scent like something they hunt. This was meant to draw them near the girls and protect them. Should we get closer? he asked, glancing over at Chris.

Cheryl shrugged and walked with Audrey slowly to the animals. The one she was locking eyed with was solid black. She took and stood there unsure of what to do. She was scared they'd attack or something.

Chris looked at Ricky and nodded. I think they trust us, or something. He replied to Ricky. He walked closer to the one he was locking eyes with. She was beautiful from what he could see of her.

Audrey stared at the dog as he walked closer. She didn't know what was going to happen. She knew to be cautious around strange animals, and the closer she got to the animal the more she felt somewhat comfortable. It wasn't just a dog when she got close to it. It was a wolf, a large one at that. She reached her hand out to touch him, but flinched her arm back an inch, afraid of being bit.

Ricky didn't even reply back. He just stared at the girl and took a few steps towards her. He sniffed the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. He loved the perfume. He got as close as he thought she was comfortable with. Ricky wasn't going to scare her off.

Chris took and inched closer towards the girl. Sniffing the aroma that she let off. He let a whimper out as he took his head nuzzling her leg lightly. He wanted her to touch his head. He wanted to feel her hand against his fur rubbing.

Cheryl stared at the dog as she got on her knees. She took and rubbed his head lightly flinching back a little scared of getting bit. When she seen the wolf wasn't moving. She rubbed it's fur again.

Audrey ran her hand through his fur between his eyes. His fur was soft and thick. She sunk to the ground and looked at his dark brown eyes. She ran her hands through his thick fur on his neck. He was warm against the Autumn night. She didn't have a jacket because she was usually fine. It was when it got to winter, it would be cold.

Ricky loved the feel of her touch in his fur. He leaned into her hand before laying down. His paws by her legs. He looked up at her, and wished he could to smile.

Chris laid on his stomach placing his paws on her legs. He nuzzled into her touch and let a soft howl escape his lips. He wished he could be in human form right. He so wanted to just smile at her.

Cheryl smiled down at the large wolf laying on her leg. She ran her hand through his fur between his eyes, "Their beautiful." She whispered to Audrey. She felt a cooling breeze hit her skin causing her to shiver. She leaned into the large animal feeling the warmth coming off the body.

"Yes, they are," Audrey replied. She leaned into the wolf for warmth. The wold was beautiful and wonderful think fur that could keep her warm for days. She ran her hand through his black and gray fur. She leaned into the wolf trying to block the wind.

Ricky nuzzled into her as she leaned into him. He loved the aroma coming off of her, and he wanted to be in his human form to smile at her. A stick snapped, causing Ricky to snap his head to the sound. A white wolf was visible at the other side of the clearing.

Chris saw the white wolf approaching and knew it wasn't his pack. He got up from the girl's touch growling as he got in front of her. We need to protect them. Chris said to Ricky.

Cheryl turned seeing another wolf approach. It was pure white with bright vibrant blue eyes. She felt her body go a little numb from fear.

Audrey froze seeing the other wolf. The one that she was petting was in front of her and growling at the wolf. She didn't move deciding it was best that she would be safer behind the large wolf.

Oh, you know it. Ricky replied. He got up and stood in front of the girl barring his teeth and growling at the strange wolf. He could hear the rest of his back coming from behind them. From what he could tell the white wolf was alone, and must have wondered off of his territory into theirs. It wasn't an excuse to come that close to their girls.

Chris kept growling at the wolf revealing his teeth to it. He saw it backing away slowly, as he continued going at it growling and showing his teeth off. Wonder what pack? He thought to the whole pack.

Cheryl stood behind the wolf that had been on her lap and she'd been petting. She looked between the wolves seeing them growling at the loner wolf.
