Holly ran her fingers through her hair, "Let's just get out of here." She said. She started walking with him, letting go of his hand. She crossed her arms as she walked with him. "So now what?" She asked, looking at him. She couldn't help but feel like people were getting hurt around her.

Taven smiled, "Alright." He said as he turned on the tv. He watched the tv as she fell asleep on him. He kept his arm aroun her as he focused on the tv. He was glad he found someone who understood.

Ares looked at her. He nodded his head and directed her to the car. He thought about telling her what was going through his mind, but he needed to somewhere private. There was only one place to do that. He drove out to the farm his uncle owned. He didn't park at the house. He drove down the dirt road that led to the old barn by the pond. His uncle didn't go there much, so it was falling apart. There were holes in the roof and signs of nature taking over it.

Kenzie dreamed of being in Africa with her parents. She would had the food to the people, but the food would be rotten when it landed in their hands. Her parents would look at her disappointed, but she couldn't help it. Eventually she was sent to the fields pick the vegetables because her parents were annoyed with her. She grabbed the first vegetable she saw that was ripe, but it would rot in her hands. It continued to happen with each piece of food. She fidgeted in her sleep.

Holly looked over at him, knowing Ares only took her there to have serious talks. "Ares what's wrong?" She asked as she turned to face him. She bit her bottom lip lightly, worried about her friend.

Taven looked over at Mackenzie when she moved. He didn't want to wake her though. He held her close and rubbed her shoulder. He kisse her forehead and smiled.

Areas looked over and told Holly about his theory about making the couple fight in the restaurant and about his brother. He needed to get through this first before telling about his feelings for her. He needed more courage for that.

Kenzie couldn't wake up as much as she wanted to, but she felt something calm holding her. Then all of a sudden her eye flicked open. She looked up at Taven. She looked at him and breathed in his cologne.

Holly watched him, "Ares there is no way you did those things." She said softly. "I'm sure it was just a freak thing." She said as she held his hands. "It's okay." She said as she kissed his cheek.

Taven looked at her, "You okay?" He asked as he ran his fingers through her hair. He was worried that she was upset about earlier. "You want anything?" He asked.

"I was ready to fight my brother and that girl. My anger had been getting worse. I know I like to pick fights, but I never wanted to hit a girl, Holly," Ares said. "Then there was the dream where I was watching on a battlefield, and I was loving it. Hell, you were in it." He looked at her, and he wanted to know what was going on.

Kenzie looked at him and shook her head. "Just a bad dream," she told him. She gave him a small smile and leaned into him, loving the sparks she was getting from him.

Holly looked at him stunned when he mentioned the dream. "I had the same one." She whispered. "The dream....I remember it. I caused all those deaths and I kissed you." She said. "Then I felt like a completely new person after I kissed you." She said, shaking her head.

Taven nodded, "Okay." He said as he relaxed. After awhile he ended up falling asleep on the couch with her. His dream involved people dying from illnesses. He got comfortable on her couch with his arm around her.

"How is it that we had the same dream?" Ares asked, trying to prove his theory. "Something is going on with us." He grabbed her shoulders and looked at her. He wanted more than anything to be with her more like this.

Mckenzie leaned into him and slowly fell asleep the dream was a little different and she couldn't make head nor tails of what was going on in the dream. She looked around at the people. They all looked starved, and she just couldn't help it.

Holly looked at him, "I know something is going on Ares. What are we going to do?" She aske as he looked at his hands. She looked back at him, feeling his anger.

Taven woke a half hour later and looked at her. He ran his fingers through her hair and smiled. He kissed her cheek then sat up slowly.

Ares looked at her. "We are going to find out what this is and if there are more of us. There has be more than just two of us," he said simply. "We will control it, and not cause harm to anyone." He believed his words as much as he could.

Kenzie slowly woke up, but she didn't really want to. She felt lips on her cheek. She opened her eyes and looked at Taven. "What was that for?" she asked curiously.

Holly stared at him, "You make this seem so easy." She said. She shook her head, "This is not going to be easy Ares." She said as she held his hand. She smiled as she kissed his cheek.

Taven shrugged, "You just seem restless." He said softly. He smiled as he ran his fingers through her hair. Taven looked aroun te apartment then back at her.

"I know it won't be easy, but we have to to at least try," Ares said. He smiled when he felt her lips on his cheek. He wrapped his arms around easily. "You know I like being out here with you."

Kenzie smiled at him. He was being so much nicer than what Ashley has ever said about him. She wondered why her friend would think that about such a sweet guy. "Why does Ashley seem to hate you?" she blurted out without thinking.

Holly smiled as she felt his arms slide around her, "Well seeing as we come here a lot I would hope so." She said laughing softly. She hugged him back and rested her head on his shoulder.

Taven stared at her for a moment then pulled away. "Why would you ask that?" He asked. He didn't like to think about that. "I hooked up with her at a party once and she thought it was going to be serious. I didn't want that and she got pissed." He said.

Ares laughed. "Well, I was just trying to be charming, but you always have something smart to say," he teased. He rubbed her back gently letting her lean into him. He found it calming in that moment.

Kenzie frowned. "I didn't mean to upset you. It's just every time she sees you she always complains about you. She was complaining about this morning when she saw you talking to me and said how much of a idiot I was for being nice to you," she explained. She didn't like the lack of contact and wished she hadn't said anything.

Holly smiled, "What kind of friend would I be if I wasn't a smart ass." She said as she kissed his cheek. "So now that we have this issue exposed what should we do to make my birthday wonderful?" She asked.

Taven shook his head, "It's okay. I'm not upset I just really hate that she makes me seems like a bad person. I didn't lead her on or anything." He explained.

Ares shrugged. "Is there anything you wanna do besides just watch horror movies?" he asked looking at her. "I could think of a few things that you might not want to do."

Kenzie looked at him sadly. "You're not a bad person. She is just mad because you didn't fall head over heels for her. She wants what she can't have," she said. "Or that's what I think." She gave him a warm smile. Her hand immediately finding his. It was really starting to become a habit of hers to touch him.

Holly raised an eyebrow, "Well what did you have in mind?" She asked. "I just wanna spend time with you." She said. She didn't care what they did as long as they were together.

Taven took her hand, "I kind of want ice cream. Do you want ice cream?" He asked. He changed the subject because he felt like it was upsetting. Taven smiled at her as he held her hand.

"How long has it been since we jumped in that pond?" Ares asked with a clever smile. He knew he was daring her to do something that we haven't done in a long time. The last time he remembered was when he was still friends with Mitch.

Kenzie smiled and nodded. "Who doesn't love ice cream?" she asked. She stood up and pulled him with her. "There's this ice cream shop done the street that is amazing." She gave him one of her best smiles.

Holly looked at him, "Awhile." She said softly. She sighed, "I love how you pick the cold months." She said. She opened the car door then went down to the dock. She pulled her shirt off then took off her jeans. She looked at him after he finished undressing then pushed him in. She laughed as he jumped in after him.

Taven nodded, "Lead the way." He said. He walked with her, crossing his arms as they walked out on the street. "I can't wait to get ice cream." He said laughing.

Ares stared at Holly laughing. "You couldn't wait, could you?" He kicked his legs, keeping his head on the surface of the water. "The water isn't that cold." He was never really bothered by the cold. It would have to be below freezing for him to freeze.

Kenzie walked beside him. "Is something bothering you?" she asked noticing his crossed arms. She waited at the crosswalk as she looked over at him. The crossed the street and went into the small ice cream store.
