As she sat, bored, before the Headmaster of the school (Headmaster Baublin, as he apparently preferred to be called) she was transferring into, Roedanya could not help but wish she was anywhere except where she sat at that moment. Yes, yes, I plan to be the perfect little student. Good grades, good behavior. I get it already, her mind thought impatiently. The man had to have repeated himself at least three times by this point.

If she were being honest though, Roedanya would have to admit that she actually wasn't interested in the school itself. They wouldn't have teachers able to instruct her, speaking 'magically' rather than academically of course. For her, a lot came natural in that field, though she still did research. However, a pitiful amount of information could be offered, despite the hours upon hours she'd poured into the research. Still, she supposed it had done her some good. She had learned a little, and it had all led her here. Here, where she fully planned on finding a Source.

Academically speaking... Roedanya had always been usually bright and excelled in school. Yet despite how she excelled, she hadn't been allowed to skip any grades or hardly challenge herself at school when she was still living in the orphanage. Instead, she'd had to challenge herself outside of class, whenever she wasn't researching. That meant technically she was a freshman in high school. But this place had given her an aptitude test to figure out where she stood. They placed her as a junior, though she suspected her results might have shown higher.... either way, she supposed it fit her purpose. If she didn't find a Source within a year, at least she would still have another year to snoop about.

"Miss Crow?" Roedanya was startled out of her reverie at the sound of her name being called. The man before her looked a little put off, frown lines creasing across his forehead as he studied her with beady little eyes. Ugh.

"Yes?" She asked sweetly and politely, pretending she hadn't just been not paying attention to him.

"Good, you're still with me," the Headmaster nodded, probably to himself. "All students stay in the dorms. There are two dorm buildings. One building for girls and another for the boys. Each dorm building is separated into four wings that are on average two stories tall each. Each wing has its own set of bathrooms... ah, yes, and two students are housed in each dorm room. Before you arrived, we found you a roommate. I've just had her called here. She'll show you at least to your dorm, but might be persuaded to show you around the school as well."

And finally... it seemed she was dismissed. Except that she had to continue to sit there until her roommate arrived. Please don't be insufferable, she mentally begged.

Grace had been told by a teacher that the Headmaster wanted her to visit his office where a new student was waiting for her, her last roommate had been expelled from the school last month. She was excited to meet her new roommate even if she was now used to having the dorm all to herself, although she was often lonely especially at night.

She glided through the air as her golden wings carried her through the school faster than she could walk, she didn't fly a lot unless she was running late for a class. Her wings usually laid flat against her back.

It only took her a few minutes until her feet touched the floor once again, knocking on Headmaster Baublin's door she waited until his voice called out for her to come in.

"Hello Miss Greythorn, please meet your new roommate Roedanya Crow. Now off you go girls," Baublin didn't waste anytime in shooing the students out of his office, he had work he needed to get to.

Stepping back out of the office just as quickly as she had stepped inside, "Hi I'm Grace. It's nice to meet you," She smiled at the redhead standing in front of her, "Follow me" She began leading the way towards the girls dorm building.

Pushing a door open she stepped outside into a small courtyard type of area, there were a few students outside in the sunshine as older students had free periods throughout the day. The main school building was in between the dorm building, she followed the concrete path with Roedanya by her side.

"So what brought you here?" She asked knowing most students had their parents enroll them, however among their kind it was common for a parent or both to not be around. She wasn't going to assume anything about anyone that she didn't know.

In fact her father had been been in her life and her Mom taught her as much as she could, she was home schooled for most of her life until she wanted to meet people her own age and attend an actual school with other students. Her Mom was wary at first but warmed to the idea when Grace was given a position at the school, she had a brain on her shoulders though she wasn't the smartest around but she had good grades.

Grace entered the girls dorm building and walked up the first flight of stairs before turning to the right, "Our bathrooms are through this door here" She pointed out to a door that had a 'female' bathroom sign nailed into the wood, "And this is our dorm here" She pushed the door open and let Roedanya step inside before her, so she could have a look at her new home away from a home.

(I don't really know where to start with Alec and Daniel, we could just wait a little until the girls go out of the school gates or something. It is long but still really good, it doesn't suck in any way so don't you worry about that.)

Once out of the Headmaster's office, everything seemed to happen faster, to Roedanya's pleasure. She was soon outside as she followed her new roommate, Grace, and she didn't have to wait long for Corvus to make his appearance either. She'd made him stay outside while she headed to the building, but she mentally called him as she entered a courtyard. It didn't take him long to find her, and soon there was a large albino crow perched on her shoulder. "Corvus not liking this place," he told her matter-of-factly as she walked. "Too much..." he ruffled his feathers in obvious irritation. "Magic. Roe listen to Corvus, and she control magic. Other children..." It might've been her imagination, but she could've sworn he shook his head. "Magic control them. No wonder they at school."

Before she could even think up a reply for Corvus, the fact that she'd been asked a question stopped her. "Well... I've basically been teaching myself magic.. I heard about this place, and it seemed to be a good place to better what I know." A half truth, but not a lie. She just thought it was probably wise that she keep a few things to herself for now... Besides, no witch liked a wytch. Or that had been her experience so far. So it would probably be best that she keep that to herself as long as possible. There was no reason to cause unnecessary trouble.

"La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-lie-lie-lie" Corvus chanted and she spared him a scathing scowl, to which he quickly, and wisely, shut up.

Thank you, she told him, maybe just a little smugly... And yes, she could've spoken out loud to the great bird perched on her shoulder, but thought-communication simply felt more natural and comfortable after having used it so much for so long. Plus, it might confuse Grace, who Roedanya was also speaking to.

The brunt of her thoughts were stopped in their tracks though as she saw the room they would be sharing. Honestly, it was bigger than the room she'd shared with four other kids during the early part of her life... she was surprised. "Wow, it's really pretty," she turned to Grace with a small smile. "And I'm guessing that's my bed?..." she motioned to the bare mattress that sat atop a plain metal bed frame. She made a mental note to find sheets and a comforter for it soon since it had neither. She was grateful for the pillows though.

Then she considered something. "Uhh, you wouldn't mind if Corvus stayed here, would you?" she asked, motioning to the albino crow who had already started to curiously inspect the room. "He's an ungrateful pain in the ass, but I can vouch for the fact that he isn't dangerous.

(Okay! I thought we might do that, but wanted to make sure. And thank you!! I loved your post too ^-^)

Grace had been somewhat surprised when the albino crow landed on Roedanya's shoulder, though all it did was make her what to ask the new girl what creature she was. However she found that to be slightly rude considering they just met, even though most of the other students wouldn't care and the question would be the first thing that other's said to Roedanya.

"Thank you, I have a spare set of sheets if you like or we could head out to shop. Baublin surprisingly always gives new students a day off so they can settle in," She informed her as she watched both her and her crow look around the dorm.

She glanced at the crow before shaking her head lightly, "No he can stay. But we're not allowed to have any pets, so he might not want to be seen. Although I've never seen one like him, he's truly beautiful." She smiled softly as she already saw the connection that they had with each other, something that Grace would love to have one day with either a pet or a boyfriend.

"I'm a fairy just so you know, this school has a wide range of different creatures. Most won't care about telling you all about what they are and what they can do, some will even try to show off especially the guys." She wanted Roedanya to be prepared, she was the new student and will be treated like fresh meat for the first week. Everyone will want to talk to her and know what she is, it happens with every new students that comes in.

She honestly didn't care what type of creature Roedanya was because she seemed like a nice person, everyone there knew that no one was allowed to harm others. Vampires were given blood and werewolves were all placed in a secure room when they needed to turn, the school catered for all creatures no matter what they were or needed.

"Or I could give you some space if you wanted to settle in," She mentioned not knowing if Roedanya liked to have her own space, Grace was easy. Her last roommate was quite a bitch and never really wanted Grace around, they hardly spoke and never hung out or anything.

(Sounds good to me! Aw thank you.)

"Thank you, but please don't go telling him that. He's already an ungrateful enough bird as it is, so I don't really want him going and getting a big head," Roedanya told Grace as Corvus hopped off his perch on her shoulder, flapping above their heads for a few minutes before finally perching himself on Grace's shoulder. He poked around in her hair for a few minutes, seemed to be checking her out, and then cawed quietly.

Roedanya snorted a little. "He says you smell good, like you control magic instead of it controlling you. Oh, and he's very flattered that you think he's beautiful..." she trailed off, making a face. "You really don't want me to finish translating..." she murmured, and quickly steered the subject back to what they had been talking about.

"If I could borrow your spare set of sheets until I get settled in and go find myself some, that would be great, thank you." she paused. "As for all that showing off... you won't have to worry about that with me. I'm a wytch and I do practice... but I don't really care for having an audience..." the only reason she felt safe saying she was a wytch was because 'wytch' and 'witch' sounded exactly alike, so unless she literally spelled it out, no one would actually know the difference. "Thank you for warning me about how everyone else is though. At least now I sort of know what to expect."

Grace couldn't help but smile when Corvus approved of her, he may be a crow but he seemed to have a bond with Roedanya that she's never understand. "I'll keep that in mind for next time, then." She nodded her head slightly not wanting to see how Corvus was if he got a big head, "Well thank you, Corvus. I try my best when it comes to magic, though I still have a lot to learn."

Although she was in the same position as the other students, they were taught both academic and magical so they had the best chance at making it in the real world. Grace was good at both although she enjoyed the magical side more, she tended to become bored in class but still do well on homework and in tests.

Nodding her head she stepped over to the linen closet, opening the door she pulled out the nicely folded set of sheets. She also grabbed a spare blanket just in case Roedanya needed it through the night, "Don't worry it. I just washed them so you don't need to rush out and get your own," She made sure her new roommate knew that, setting the sheets on the mattress she turned again to red head. "Your closest it right there and that's your chest of drawers, I usually keep my bathroom products on top in a bag with a clean towel. Makes mornings easier," Grace told her wanting to give her as many tips as she possibly could.

A small sigh of relief escaped past her lips, "Oh good. My last roommate was a werewolf, all she wanted to do was show off." Grace smiled softly as she knew a few witches around campus and they were quite friendly, "No problem at all. It'll still take you a few days to settle in and if you need more help finding rooms, then ask because it took me four days to remember where all my classrooms were." She knew from first hand experience how nerve racking starting a life in a new place could be, although most of the students around would be nice and help out someone else.

(Facepalm I literally never saw that you had posted to this... I am so sorry!)

Roedanya was honestly a little surprised by how friendly her roommate seemed to be. She'd been dreading the thought of a roommate, worried about the sort of person she would get stuck with, but Grace seemed to be a genuinely nice person, and her personality immediately put the distrustful wytch at ease. It also helped that Corvus approved, since he was never wrong. If he said a person smelled bad, then she knew to steer clear.

She paid attention though as she was pointed out a closet that she could use, as well as a chest of drawers, etc. She made little mental notes in her mind so she would know later on, hoping it would prove to be helpful. Since she was in a strange place she knew nothing about, she figured any help she could get wouldn't hurt. She was a little strange to begin with, among just about everyone, so this would just make things a little easier. "Okay, thank you," she nodded to Grace's advise.

"And thank you for all your help," she added with a small smile. "I was given a map though, and certain numbers seemed to be grouped together, so I think I should be able to find my classrooms pretty easily. I'll definitely ask if I need help though." The map was somewhere in the stack of papers that she held in her hands, which also included a brief sort of 'handbook', a schedule, and other nameless information that the school apparently felt she needed. Roedanya had hardly given any of it a glance, but she knew she would later on, once things had settled down a bit...

But for the moment... unpacking seemed to be what she needed to do. She figured she could check out the library tomorrow, or after she was done, if she had time. All she had could be fit in a duffle bag -which was what she carried- but she had been moving around so much, she suspected unpacking her measly possessions would help ground her. It seemed to stand to reason that she wouldn't want to move on quite so badly if everything wasn't in one place, simply waiting to be picked up so she could go.

Grace couldn't help but notice the one duffle bag that Roedanya had with her, "I can help bring up the rest of your bags if you like?" She asked assuming that her new roommate would have more belongings then a single bag, she wasn't trying to sound rude or come across as rude because that's the last thing she wanted. But usually all new students came with at least a few bags, even the guys around the school brought their belongings with them. If she had known Roedanya's background or where she came from, then she wouldn't have asked.

Taking a seat down on her bed, she waited for an answer knowing that she brought more than she probably needed. But she could need something one day and have it at home with her Mom, that hasn't happened yet but it could one day soon.

Suddenly realization formed on Grace's face, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked you that, I just assume that people over pack like I do." She apologized quickly not wanting to make an enemy out of her roommate on the first day of meeting her, she was too nice for her own good at times.

Sometimes she thought that was a reason why her last roommate didn't like her so much, "No problem. I got lost a few times when I first came here, I don't want you to go through that but the class rooms are pretty easy to find." Grace nodded her head lightly.

Now that she had been pulled out of class and was told to make sure that Roedanya was settled in, she had the day off if that's what she wanted. Most students took advantage of that but it made Grace feel uneasy, "Are you excited about classes?" She asked not knowing if Roedanya was going to be a good student or a bad one, the bad ones normally don't last long.

Roedanya gave Grace a reassuring smile. "You don't need to apologize," she said. "This is my only bag, and everything I have." She shrugged a little, giving her new roommate a small smile. "I grew up in an orphanage. I'm just not really sensitive about it like some people are. Then again, at least I've always had Corvus, here, with me." The albino crow cawed in agreement from his perch on the bed. He seemed content there for the moment.

As Grace continued to talk, Roedanya made her hands busy and set down the bag on the bed, unzipping it. Most of it was filled with clothes, but there was also a blanket and some of the essentials that were buried at the bottom -and some money she earned by doing odd jobs wherever she went. "No need to worry; I'm not really prone to getting lost so long as I have a map," she reassured her new roommate.

Meanwhile, she pulled clothes out, neatly folded them, and then began to put them away in the drawers. It didn't take very long, and a bag of food for Corvus was the next to come out. It was mostly birdseed, with an odd variety of other stuff she put in there, but he liked it well enough, she knew. This, she set in the closet. Then she closed the door, because if she'd left it out on top of the chest of drawers, Corvus would've opened it and eaten it all overnight.

"Classes?" Roedanya thought about that. "Maybe anxious is a better word. I've been teaching myself for the past couple of years, so it's been a awhile since I've been in an actual school. Besides that, I'm sure not everyone will be nearly as nice as you, especially since I skipped a couple of grades..." She brought out her toothbrush, toothpaste, etc, and took them into the bathroom, setting them out of the way so it wouldn't hinder Grace. She came back, grabbed her blanket, tossed it on the bed, and then tossed her bag into the closet. Once that was done, she sat on the bed beside Corvus and absently scratched his head where she knew he liked.

Grace couldn't help but watch her roommate unpack the little she had, she was speechless when Roedanya told her about herself and what she's been through. "I'm sorry about that," She didn't know what else to say, what could anyone say to that? "I thought not knowing my father was bad enough, I couldn't imagine not having my Mom either. If you need anything at all, I'm more than happy to help out." She wanted her to know that, it was something her Mom made sure she knew. If she could help someone then she should, even if Grace didn't know them. Everyone deserved some help when they needed it the most.

"I'm pretty much the nicest one here," She smiled and nodded, "I'd be way too lazy to teach myself anything. But I do wish that I could skip some grades, it'd be the only thing that I'd skip." It wasn't a secret that Grace didn't have a bad bone in her body, she's never skipped class or stayed out late after curfew. Hell she's never been to a party before, she didn't have any friends like that either.

"You'll be fine, trust me on that. If you can live on your own for this long, then you can survive school." Grace smiled as she glanced over at Corvus, "How did he come into your life?" She asked watching as Corvus enjoyed getting his head scratched.

"Well, the people who raised me were really nice, and they took good care of me... not knowing my parents has just... never really bothered me for some reason. Honestly, I'm not sure I would want to know someone who just abandoned me while I was a baby," Roedanya admitted to Grace, frowning a bit at first. Then she shook her head, as if shaking it off, and her regular demeanor was back.

She really did appreciate the sort of person she'd accidentally somehow gotten roomed with. She instantly felt calmer around this girl in front of her than she did with most people she talked to, and it was a nice change. She didn't easily trust or get along with anyone, really. "Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I think school might be slightly more vicious than the real world at times," she laughed, giving Grace a small smile.

Still, as soon as she found a Source, she hoped to leave. School wasn't really something she needed, especially at this point. It was nice to have somewhere to be, but she didn't plan on staying here long. Two years at most, actually, and then she would be moving on. She wasn't sure if it was just her, but she had never really enjoyed staying anywhere too long... she'd never found anywhere that just felt... well, right.

"Corvus?" she asked in surprise, glancing at her albino crow. "Umm, well, he was found with me when I was a baby. Apparently he refused to leave, and he's just been around since then. Most kids who don't have names are just given names, and usually end up with the last name 'Found' or something like that. Corvus here is the reason I ended up with 'Crow' as my last name. Actually, I'm honestly surprised that he's still around... I think he might be some sort of magic bird or something, since I'm pretty sure crows aren't supposed to live this long."

"At least you had nice people to raise you and be there for you, but it'd still be hard. I think it would be at least, not knowing your parents at all or why they didn't keep you. That would be hard for me, I know why my father left so I know what kind of person he is." Grace couldn't imagine what Roedanya has been through in her life, she admitted her already for being the strong person that she seems to be. You'd have to be strong to survive.

Grace was so glad that she had Roedanya as a roommate, she had suffered so long with the other girl and it was a very nice change. "I'll have to agree with you there, although people can still be horrible to you out in the real world. I really don't understand why the professors want us all to get along, after school finishes we won't see half of them again." She didn't understand why the professors tried so hard, not everyone is going to like each other and forcing it will never work out well.

She smiled hearing more about the albino crow that came with Roedanya, she couldn't help but find the story to be sweet. Having someone there who doesn't leave your side, who is there for you through everything would feel wonderful. To constantly feel wanted and safe, she had always wanted that for herself but hasn't yet gotten it.

"He must be magic or something, or he just sticks around because he likes you so much. He probably thinks that you need him," She smiled warmly at both Roedanya and Corvus.

Roedanya was pretty excited about going to town. She and Grace had had to wait until the weekend, when there were no classes, but she was up bright and early Saturday, ready to go. Grace had given her the 'warnings' everyone got about town, but Roedanya basically brushed them off. She'd been a wytch amongst humans for years, so she had no doubts about her ability to "fit in".

Though, to make Grace feel better, she had Corvus go off and do whatever he wanted while she was in town. She was worried about him, afraid he might try to steal something from someone and get hurt, but she mentally told herself over and over that he would be fine. He was smarter than the average crow, cockier too, but that wasn't really reassuring, so she just stuck to smarter.

As they were walking towards town, Corvus' presence -and his endless chatter in her mind- was sorely missed, though that sort of fell off once they got there. "It's so cute!" she exclaimed as she saw it. When a person thinks town, they think modern. This town looked like it might've been modern in the mid 20th century at best, but as she'd said... cute. And as long as it had the things she needed, it would be just fine.

"You don't have to stay with me while I figure out what I need and get it," Roedanya told Grace as they approached. "If you'd rather just go looking around and your own or something, go for it. I shouldn't be too long."
Daniel could honestly say that he hated going to town like he hated nothing else. It was a necessary evil though, because they needed stuff like toilet paper and toothpaste and deodorant and shampoo and soap and even food. No matter how carefully he planned, how he tried, every weekend, like clockwork, there was at least one thing that they needed to get from town. It was insanity.

This time, though, was mostly a food trip. Daniel had known it was coming, which made it a little better. And while they were here, he was going to get toilet paper and some toothpaste for Alec since he was running low. Alec's breath in the morning, if he didn't brush his teeth, could probably take out an army in Daniel's opinion, and he'd rather not have a gravestone that said 'death by Alec's breath'. That was just... sad.

"Hey, go get some TP and your toothpaste, would ya? You aren't really helping here," he called to his younger brother. Maybe having something to do would keep him out of trouble... Daniel usually couldn't care less what Alec did, but lately it was becoming apparent that if left bored too long, Alec was prone to find trouble. At least, that's what Daniel assumed it was. But he'd rather get what he needed and get out as quickly as possible, which meant he didn't need to be watching his brother constantly. Glaring at everyone around him helped too... people in general just put him in a pretty bad mood, and Alec was probably the only being on the planet that Daniel wouldn't glare at all the time. Alec only got glares when he deserved them.

Alec was glad to be outside and in the fresh air, he wasn't as bad as his older brother when it came time to go into town to collect whatever it was that they needed. He didn't love it but he also didn't hate it like Daniel did, he knew that it needed to be done so he got it done and then left. He was positive that the glares his brother gave to people would one day cause his trouble, they needed to 'fit in' when around humans which was a bit of a pain but again it needed to be done.

"I am helping, I'm keeping you sane." Alec mumbled to himself but knew his older brother would hear him, he had already started to wonder off through the town. He was heading towards the small corner store that had what he needed, however his attention was soon captured when his eyes landed on a beautiful red head. His feet slowed down until he stopped walking, his eyes didn't leave this beautiful stranger as she walked and her friend headed off in a different direction.

The toilet paper and toothpaste to wait, Alec turned his body and began to walk over to the girl. He tried to be as casual as he possibly could come across, Daniel wouldn't be happy that he was going to take longer but he wanted to meet this girl.

"Hi there" He said once he was close enough to her, he gave her a small smile as he didn't want to scare her away from him. He wasn't the best when it came to talking to a human, he had learnt from a very young age that humans would try to hurt him if they ever found out what he was. "I'm Alec, did you need any help?" He asked not really knowing what else to say to her.
Grace looked at Roedanya and lightly nodded her head, "Okay. I shouldn't be too long, so I'll meet you here whenever you're finished." She smiled and decided that she would just walk around and window shop, she didn't need anything as she had visited this town only last weekend to stock up on things that she used. The town wasn't huge so she knew Roedanya wouldn't get lost and she trusted her to not get into any trouble.

She took her time walking and tucked some of her blonde hair behind her ear, her blue eyes took in everything that she could see. She was in front of a flower store and inhaled the sweet aroma of the flowers, she went to walk around the corner when she suddenly stopped as an attractive young man was right there in front of her.

"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't see you there." She spoke sweetly to him as she took in his appearance, he was the definition of being tall, dark and handsome in her opinion. A natural olive undertone in his skin gave him that slightly tanned look, his raven hair was styled and his eyes were a rich brown.

She felt her heart quicken slightly as she wasn't all that great at talking to strangers, especially boys. She really wished that she had Roedanya by her side so she wouldn't make herself look like a fool in front of him, but sadly Roedanya was off doing her own thing so she was on her own.

Roedanya nodded to Grace. "Okay," she agreed, and pulled a list from her pocket as she randomly started off in some unknown direction. The town was small and didn't look like it would be very confusing, but she had to figure out where everything was before she could get anything she wanted. Luckily though, she was good at reading and walking, so she somehow managed to not run into anything, even if her handwriting was small, scribbly, hurried, and some weird mixture of print and cursive. It did list everything she needed though, and it was just barely legible, so she could work with it.

The conversations of the people around her sort of just washed by Roedanya's ears as she folded up her list again while approaching the shops, and in the middle of this, it sort of took her a moment to realize someone was talking. Part of this was because she was purposely tuning out the mindless chatter of everyone else, while the other part was because most people just weren't interested in her and left her alone. She had a theory that it was something about a wytch's magical aura that sort of... turned people away usually, so it was an unusual individual that just walked up to her and began talking.

That meant, when she did figure out she was being spoken to, she sort of blinked at him for a moment -though admittedly, it might not have been the only reason she stopped and stared. "Umm, hi.." She offered him a small smile, not really quite sure what to do. For some reason, something about Corvus talking about controlling magic instead of letting it control you popped into her mind though.

So, Roedanya decided to try something. She straightened her shoulders a tad and gave the boy a surer smile, deciding she'd take control over the situation. "It's nice to meet you, Alec. I'm Roedanya.." she paused. "You can call me Roe though, if you want. And I shouldn't need help... unless you just want to. Then it would be lovely if you could show me which stores I might go to, to get the things on this list." she held up her folded piece of paper. Then, remembering her manners, put her hand out as well.
When he had sent Alec off, Daniel had been picking up a few odd things they had needed. No one approached him as he did that, and the man at the register had looked nervous the entire time Daniel was there. He was quick though, probably just trying to get Daniel away honestly, and soon enough, he was heading to get groceries.

That was stopped momentarily though as he nearly trampled someone. Without paying a lot of attention to them, his glare sort of intensified all on its own, as if it were its own living being separate from him. He grumbled at her apology, taking in her appearance at the same time. His look didn't soften in the least, except maybe to return to its usual, non-death-causing, glare.

"Just watch where you're going, 'kay? Don't wanna get run over, trust me," he told her curtly. Then, because he couldn't really move around her well where they were, he took her shoulders and moved her himself since she hadn't look as if she was moving if she could help it. "Try not to run into anyone else, yeah?" With a roll of his eyes and a sort of mocking salute, Daniel got back on his original path towards the grocery store.

Whoever she had been, she'd been pretty cute... beautiful even. But even if he'd liked how her golden hair curled, how soft it seemed to be, even if he'd been attracted to the curves and contours of her body, he was shit out of luck. He wasn't -couldn't afford to be- interested in humans. Yup, being a total dick was the definite way to go.

Alec stood there as he noticed that it took this girl a few short seconds before she realised that he was speaking to her, he found it slightly adorable not that he'd mention that to anyone. There was something about her however, he wasn't sure what it was or if it was just his imagination. She held herself differently than other humans that he had watched before, when he heard her voice a smile formed across his face.

"It's nice to meet you as well, Roedanya. I have nothing else to do, so I'd be more than happy to show you around." He knew he should be getting the toilet paper and toothpaste, but it wouldn't take long for him to grab that. So if he wanted to spend time with Roedanya than he would, he didn't care what Daniel would think or say.

He gave a light nod of his head as he took her smaller hand into his own, but as it went to shake her hand he felt this shock instead. It was a light shock but was still felt by him, he had never in his life felt that before and it confused him greatly. He simply pulled his hand back and took the folded piece of paper from her fingers, he was careful not to touch her skin with his as he didn't know what had caused the shock or what it would do to him.

"Let's get going then," He still smiled at her and watched her face, he was pretty sure that Roedanya had felt the same shock as her eyes had widened slightly. He honestly didn't want to mention it nor did he know how, he kept it to himself for now in case she hadn't felt anything. Instead he turned around and guided her to the store that had most of the items on her list, might as well get the bulk done first.

He was keeping an eye out of his big brother, it was a small town and it'd be easy for Daniel to see him helping this girl. He could handle his brother but he didn't want Roedanya to have to deal with how grumpy Daniel could be, "So are you new here?" He asked having never seen her before in town, although she could have lived around there for years and he wouldn't have known.
Grace stood there with her mouth open lightly, her eyes watched the back of the dick as he walked away. She was shocked that he had treated her in such a rude way, all she had done was apologize when it was equally his fault. They had both been turning the corner at the same time, she couldn't believe that he had spoken to her in that way and then moved her.

It would have been so easy for her to use her magic on him and get her revenge, but instead she inhaled deeply and slowly to calm herself down. She wasn't one to want revenge or to have pay back on someone, even if that's how she felt. She hardly had a temper but if someone treated her bad or was rude to her or someone she cared about, then she could hold a grudge for a very long time.

Turning, she continued to walk in the direction that she was heading in before she met the biggest jerk. She let it all go so she wouldn't waste her time in thinking about him, he didn't deserve her spending time on him or replaying what happened in her mind. Although now she wasn't in any mood to look at anything in the stores, he had ruined her day so easily and she was angry at herself for letting him do that.

He wasn't anything to her, she never wanted to see him again or even think about him. She knew Roedanya wouldn't take much time, so Grace slowly walked around the small town before arriving back at the place that she was meeting her roommate. Sitting down on a dark wooden bench, she sat there watching people who were walking pass her as she waited.
