As Alec asked after why she didn't have more friends, she gave him an odd look. Then she realized that people usually had more than one -or even two- friends. "Oh, well... I guess I don't really get lonely. I mean, I'm usually nice to people but I don't often find myself wanting to continuously talk with them or anything. Grace is kind of an exception... we got along very well when we first met. And then there's you... I haven't really figured out where you fit in the grand scheme of things yet."

As Roedanya thought about it, she sighed, realizing he couldn't fit in anywhere. She continued to walk with him in silence for a little while longer before she suddenly stopped. "Umm, Alec..." Geez, she'd never had to tell someone she couldn't talk to them anymore for the simple fact that they were human. It had never been a problem for her. "Ah, Grace pointed out a certain school rule to me earlier that I didn't really think about, and um.. so you can't go to the school anymore because it isn't allowed. And uh... I don't really think we should meet anymore because of those rules too..."

Despite that she wanted to look away, Roedanya somehow managed to hold his gaze. Honestly, she didn't want to do this but it was the best thing. Besides, she told herself, she needed to be focusing on finding her Source, not spending all of her free time hanging out with some guy. Even if a weird shock thing happened whenever they touched. Damn, where was Corvus when she needed him? She would have to remember to ask her crow a few questions...
Corvus cawed in agreement with Grace, knowing that she couldn't understand him. But he was a smart crow who understood everything said around him, not just what was said by Roe. Though sometimes he wished he could speak to others too... he would have to talk to Roe about it, since she was a wytch and could probably find a spell for it.

Daniel of course heard Goldy get up and follow him, but chose to ignore her.... at least until she started talking. Damn woman. Alec had good hearing too and would know they were there unless he got too far ahead, but then Daniel wouldn't be able to hear him. Still, he couldn't ignore her. She would just keep fucking talking.

"I'm not scared of him taking off," he replied to her curtly, rolling his eyes. "He used to do that when he was younger and I always found him." True, but not relevant. "Just.. go do something, okay?" he made a shooing motion. "I'm not going to ruin their little date if that's what you're worried about. I'm just trying to keep an eye on them."

Alec could understand there, he would love to have one or two close friends. He'd want that over having lots of friends who he wasn't close with, however Daniel made sure that never happened for him. He heard two voices behind them and knew his brother was following them, "It's nice that you have her. She seems really nice too, sadly my brother doesn't seem to realize that." He spoke shaking his head lightly as he did feel bad for Grace.

"I wouldn't mind if you considered me to be a friend, not now of course. But in time..." He told her before a frown formed across his face as he listened to what Roedanya was saying to him, "What do you mean? I won't go to see you at school anymore, but we can still see each other. We'll just meet here, in town." He didn't want to not see her again, he did have to tell her the same thing but he didn't want to.

She seemed to have gotten in first, he looked at her with the frown still on his face. "We aren't that different, Roedanya." He remembered what he had overheard when she was speaking with her friend, "You don't have to do this. Trust me, we can be friends." He told her.
Grace smiled as she reached up and gave the back of Corvus' head a gentle scratch, she found it astounding that the crow seemed to actually understand everything that she said. She stood there and was able to see Alec and Roedanya, she rolled her blue eyes at him when he tried to shoo her away which obviously didn't work because she continued to stand there.

"Don't shoo me away" She told him firmly, "Why do you need to watch them? Is Alec going to do something?" She asked him and knew that she was going to be annoying him greatly, but if he didn't answer her than she'd simply continue to talk until he gave into her. Maybe she shouldn't have been so sure about Alec, if Brownie needed to watch them than maybe she needed to watch also.

Although she had a feeling that Roedanya could take care of herself, Corvus was on her shoulder and could be by Roedanya's side within seconds.

Roedanya looked down as Alec spoke. It wasn't that she actually wanted to get rid of him or anything. But if she had waited to tell him until the end of this meeting, it would have been that much harder, hence why she decided to just bite the bullet. And Corvus, who was attuned to her thoughts, wanted to come over. No, stay with Grace, Corvus. Please. Roedanya didn't think Alec's brother would do anything to Grace, but she'd rather Grace have Corvus with her anyway.

"Alec," she said softly, daring a glance up at him. "I'm not doing this because I want to. And if it were just me that was going to be affected if the school finds out, that would be fine. Grace would get in trouble too. She would be expelled." She sighed, taking a small step away from him. "I'm sorry."

How had she grown attached to this person after having only met him once? Anyone else, like his brother for instance, she would say goodbye to without a backwards glance. It would be fine. So what made Alec different? It was almost like something in her was reaching out for him. Think about finding your Source instead! her mind berated her. That's why you're here. Not to make friends with strange boys. To find your Source. Roedanya closed her eyes and took a small breath. "To find my Source," she whispered to herself.
Daniel wanted to strangle Goldy at this point. The more she spoke, the greater chances that Alec was going to hear him. She wasn't even trying to be quiet. Then again, she didn't know about the fact that he and Alec were vampires. Still... ignorance was not an excuse!

This girl was sticking like shit on his shoe though. "No, not that I'm aware of," he sighed, running a hand over his face. "Don't worry about your friend. My brother is completely enamored with her, for whatever reason." He paused, glancing at his brother, and willed Alec to stay right where he was at.

With that, he turned to Grace, picked her up, and threw her over his shoulder. He proceeded to walk back to the benches and set her down on one while mentally telling himself that he would knock her out if there was a next time. "Stay here," he said and started back to where he had been.

Alec couldn't just let Roedanya push him away like this, he had no idea where this feeling came from. But he knew that he didn't want her to just leave him and never see her again, "I highly doubt either of you will get into trouble with the school. Trust me on this one, Roedanya. They can't expel you from doing nothing wrong," He told her as he had to bite his tongue to stop him from blurting out that he was a vampire, he still didn't know what she was but he did know that she wasn't human.

He quickly took a glance around them to see where his brother was, Daniel was far enough away that there was a good chance he wouldn't overhear what they were saying. His brows frowned slightly when he heard her mumble about a Source, he had only heard his Grandpa talking about what a Source was but at the young age that he was, he hadn't been paying any attention.

So when she took a small step backwards, he was done with holding his tongue. "I'm a vampire, Roedanya. I overheard you talking to Grace, I know you aren't human either." He told her simply as he looked into her eyes, he was determined to not let her go. He had this feeling in his stomach, that he needed to be around her. He has never once felt like this before, honestly it was scary because he was so confused.
Grace hadn't been expecting him to face her and lift her over his shoulder, Corvus flew off her shoulder with the sudden movement. She was shocked into silence for the first couple of seconds, before she realized what he was doing and hit his back with her balled up fist. "Put me down, right now. How dare you." She raised her voice at him as he had completely broken into her personal bubble.

She sent him a glare when he had set her down on a bench, "You don't tell me what to do." She called after him and stood up when she noticed Roedanya and Alec didn't seem to be going as well as she had thought, there was a flush across her cheeks from either annoyance or having a male so close to her.

She told herself that it was from annoyance, she took steps to follow him again but this time she was more interested in watching her roommate. She would step in if it was needed, she didn't care how nice Alec seemed to be because she cared about Roedanya.

At Alec's words, Roedanya froze. Her initial thought was one of denial, but then where in the world would he get an idea to say something like that from? She and Grace had been talking on the way to the village, but Alec and Daniel had been out of sight, so there was no way they should have been overheard. And who randomly told someone they were a vampire? Still.. she had to make sure somehow. Corvus. You said earlier that you liked Alec's smell, right? Could you tell me what he smells like? Human? She asked her crow silently, still watching Alec.

Her crow, who had once again perched himself on Grace's shoulder after being dislodged, ruffled his feathers and answered Roedanya that no, Alec did not smell human. Only then did Roedanya release a breath that she hadn't quite been aware that she'd been holding. Thanks, Corvus. Still, what did she say? She ran a hand through her hair, trying to figure out the answer to that question...

"Well, I guess that changes things then, she finally said, giving him a small smile. "And I'm really sorry... I'm sort of new to the school and didn't think about how you being at the school would be trouble. I sort of grew up around humans and I guess I blend better than most, so it just didn't cross my mind. Um, I'm a wytch by the way, just so you know."
Daniel basically got back to where he could hear the conversation again in time to hear his brother tell Red that he was a vampire, and that was a huge no-no, which Alec knew. Not even bothering to stay back this time or even pay any attention to Goldy, who had ignored his directive to stay at the benches, he strided over to where Alec and Roedanya were.

Well, that's what he wished he could do at least. He wouldn't have hesitated for a moment had Red been human. His damn brother had found a loophole even he couldn't argue with though. Anyone who wasn't human pretty much knew about all of the other creatures and such that lurked the earth and were fine. Daniel still usually didn't like them on the principle that he just didn't like people, but it wasn't as if he could just tell Alec the same thing he had told him about humans.

As Goldy approached, he scowled at her but brushed by her to head back to the benches. He literally laid down in the first one he approached. Goldy could eavesdrop now if she wanted, if she even had the hearing to eavesdrop at that distance. Or she could just watch. He didn't care. Now he was going to have to deal with Alec constantly wanting to off to see Red, and no matter how much he didn't like it, he couldn't stop his brother. This was just perfect.

Alec gave a simply shake of his head, "It's understandable. At that time, I had no idea that you weren't human and I didn't know you could get into trouble. Otherwise I wouldn't have walk onto the campus like that," He wasn't sure what to say after he had blurted out that he was a vampire, but Roedanya needed to know that he wasn't human and that they could continue to see each other.

"I guess this does change a lot, my brother told me that I couldn't see you again. But now he can't say anything," At least something good was coming from this, he knew that Daniel still wasn't going to be happy about this. But if she was a creature like them, than Alec was going to take full advantage of that and spend more time with her. Daniel didn't need to hang around any longer either.

"I haven't met many people who grew up around humans, that would have been strange. Right?" He asked as he was interested in that, he was only around humans when he and Daniel needed to go into town for groceries. That wasn't often as they stocked up on the things they needed as much as they could, that meant less trips into the town.
Grace stood there for a little while longer, before something made her check the delicate watch that was wrapped around her wrist. She was late for a study group, she didn't need to go but the other students tended to relay on her helping them out. She didn't want to interrupt her roommate and she hated interrupting anyone, but she took a few steps forward and got her attention. "I have to go, I'll see you later." She said quickly before turning around so she could make her way back to the school.

She passed the dick on the way as she was rushing towards the school, she was heading along the path and had checked her watch again. It only took a second for her to be distracted, she didn't see the human couple who had stepped out in front of her with bags of groceries.

She ran straight into them and lost her balance, though that was never hard for her to do. Before she even realised what was happening, she went crashing to the hard ground. She had gotten tangled in the bags, therefore she had twisted her ankle on the landing. However she waved the couple away as she was embarrassed about falling, she pushed her blonde hair back from her face and tried standing only for pain to flow through her leg.

"You didn't know and I didn't think about it," Roedanya told him by way of reassurance, which was about the time that Grace interrupted. "Okay, I'll see you later," she replied to her friend with a small wave. And despite her attempts to reassure Corvus that she would be fine without him, her crow returned to her as well. She sighed, reaching up to scratch the spot on his head that he liked as she turned back to Alec.

"Since you haven't really been properly introduced... Alec, meet Corvus. And since you know I'm not human now, you should probably know that Corvus isn't really a pet. He's a friend and sometimes like a guardian. He's been with me since I was a baby." She paused. "Actually, he sort of relates to your question. I was actually found as a baby, so I'm an orphan, which is why I grew up with humans. Corvus here is probably the only reason I know what I really am. It's actually more odd for me to be around so many people who aren't human, honestly," she admitted.

She actually nearly asked why his brother had tried to make her stop seeing him, but then she thought about it, and it made sense. Vampires did need blood to survive. Animal blood could cut it, but human blood was something that they craved. There was so much that could go wrong with that really. She wondered if he knew that sometimes the blood of other creatures could taste better though... those that were basically human but with magic, likes witches/wytches -like herself-, or even faeries, for instance. Oh well, at least she knew he was a vampire and to be careful of that sort of thing. Humans were more likely to freak out, do something bad, and ask questions later.
Daniel made no comment as Goldy left, actually glad to be rid of her. She had been much too loud and irritating. Honestly though, he wasn't even sure why he was continuing to listen any longer. He had lost control over the situation. So after a few minutes, he sighed, shaking his head, and started back towards the benches. If he thought Alec wouldn't spend as long as he could with Red without his intervention, Daniel might've even just headed home.

He paused on his way back though as he heard something. It sounded like someone falling, along with groceries. Well, that didn't concern him... but then he heard the conversation and heard Goldy speaking. The couple with the groceries were soon in view, but upon listening, it sounded as if Goldy were stranded, unable to walk. Leave. Now. Don't even bother. Except that particular brand of logic was drowned out. While he didn't like people and did his best to drive them off, he couldn't just leave someone stranded that he knew was hurt. Even if he figured he'd pay for it later.

Fuck. Daniel headed down the path, and it wasn't long before he saw Goldy sitting on the ground, pain etched into her features. He didn't bother talking, but just headed over and picked her up in a bridal carry. He made sure to be gentle and tried to cause as little pain as possible by the action. "Before you start on me, I already know that you can't walk. I'm just taking you back to the school. When we get there, you need to point me to the nurse's office. After that, I'll take you to your room," he told her, not even looking down at her as he began to walk down the path.

Alec wasn't sure if he was actually interested in Corvus because he wasn't a typical crow or because Roedanya was involved, he listened to what she was telling him and he suddenly realised that she had been through so much. "I'm sorry that you were an orphan, I couldn't imagine what that would have been like. Growing up with humans who didn't understand what you were going through, that would have been hard." He continued to look at her and took quick glances at the crow, "At least you had him, right?" He gave her a small smile knowing that there were many times when he was glad to have his brother around, even if there were times when he didn't want Daniel around.

"Being in a school that size, that's filled with other's like us. That would take some getting used to, that school is huge and I bet I didn't even see half of it." He grinned at her as he had no idea that school was for creatures, he could have been going there all this time even though he wasn't sure how well he'd go in that sort of setting.

He had no idea that he could drink other creatures blood, no one had ever told him about that. "Shall we keep walking?" He asked knowing that Daniel would either interrupt them or he'd go home after he grew sick of waiting, he didn't need to be there any longer and he'd already be bored out of his mind.
Grace hadn't noticed him until he had lifted her up into his arms, she tensed up as she hadn't expected him to even be that close to her. She opened her mouth to speak but decided against it, if she tried to walk to school on a sore ankle than she'd take longer and would hurt herself even more. She wanted to let him carry her to see the nurse and than to her room, but she still wasn't sure about him being on campus. She was worried about a professor seeing him, though surely they couldn't know each and every student.

However if someone did notice, she'd just say that he was a stranger and left the campus straight away who didn't see anything strange. She hoped that would work. "Thank you," She spoke quietly to him as she at least had to thank him for helping her out, he may have been a dick but apparently there was a tiny piece of good in him. Somewhere in there and it was probably deep down, but at least it was still in there.

"So I know you are jerk or dick, you have a name right?" She asked him as she didn't really have anything else to talk to him about, sure he probably wanted her to shut up but that wasn't who she was. If he was going to carry her, than he'd have to deal with a few questions. She wouldn't annoy him much though, she still wanted him to carry her so her ankle could rest.

Roedanya ran a hand through her hair, giving Alec a small smile. "It's fine, really. Besides, even if I wasn't an orphan or had been adopted as a baby or whatever, I'm not sure it would have been much better. I'm not sure if you've ever heard of a wytch; the spelling being with a 'y' instead of an 'i'. We're sort of dying out... but yeah, at least I've always had Corvus." She smiled, noticing how he continued to take quick glances at her crow.

"Hey Corvus, you wanna go see Alec? I think he might like you," she said, not bothering to speak in her mind since he knew she could talk to him. Corvus seemed to think it was a good idea too, since he bobbed his little head with a sharp caw, and then flapped over to Alec, settling himself on the boy's shoulders. Roedanya attempted and failed to suppress a smile. "He says you smell nice," she informed him. "Then again... he doesn't say that about humans. One way to smell bad to Corvus is to 'let your magic control you rather than the other way around' or be a bad person, or a mixture of both. If you're good and in control of your magic, then you smell good. I think he has a crush on Grace, honestly."

"Sure," she smiled. She started walking with him again, and they were walking pretty close, until she suddenly felt a zap from their arms brushing. She pulled away, frowning a bit as she rubbed your arm. "I really want to know what the hell that is," she declared. "I've been looking through all sorts of books!" The past two times, she hadn't acknowledged it outwardly, but it felt almost as if everything had changed, and she didn't mind acknowledging the shock.
Daniel decided not to acknowledge her thanks. He didn't even really want to be doing this. This is the sort of thing that made people think it was okay to just go up to you and talk and assume that you were friends. Then again, despite his best efforts, she still tried to talk to him either way! What did he have to do to get this one to go away?

Any hopes that this might have done were shattered as she asked after his name next. Daniel let out a sigh, wondering what in the world he had done to deserve this. He actually considered telling her that Dick was just fine, since apparently that was how she mentally referred to him -her and about a thousand other people he was sure. "Yeah, I have a name. Its Daniel." His parents had called him Danny, and Alec used to when he was little, but it had been a while since he'd let anyone call him that.

Of course, Daniel actually already knew her name, mostly because of whatever was going on with Alec and Red. Despite that, he didn't really care to use her name, even if she would prefer it. Actually, Goldy suited her just fine, in his opinion. Even if she was a blonde, her hair looked more gold than anything. It wasn't just that though. He got the feeling she was usually a happy, optimistic person, so the name sort of applied to her 'sunshine' personality. That, and calling her Goldy seemed to piss her off. He was still trying to get rid of her, after all.

(Sorry, I had final exams the past couple of days, and this was a little too long to reply to considering I had work to do)

Honestly, Alec couldn't imagine not growing up with your family. He now knew how lucky he was to have his parents, Daniel and even their Grandparents around for as long as he did. "I'm still sorry that you had to go through that," He looked at her and couldn't help but smile when Corvus made himself comfortable on his shoulder, reaching up he scratched the crow's head and knew it was the right spot when Corvus ruffled his feathers lightly.

"I never knew that there was a different type of witch, what is the difference?" He asked as he had no idea there were two types, it had never been mentioned to him before nor had he overheard anything in passing. He wondered it all wytches had an animal like Corvus with them, or if Roedanya was the only one. Not that he actually knew how many wytches there actually were left in the world, if they were dying out then he assumed there wouldn't be many left around which was sad.

He chuckled softly, "He has a crush on Grace? Well she seems like a lovely person, and I'm guessing that she's also some kind of creature. Daniel should watch out now," He grinned now knowing that if Grace was a creature, she could give his brother all the shit that he's given her since they met. As they walked he felt the spark again and frowned, "I have no idea what it was. But this is the third time, I'll ask around and see if I can find it in any of my Mom's books." He told her as he begun to think that feeling the spark wasn't normal, that it had to mean something. What it did mean was beyond him at the moment.
Grace smiled when he told her what his name was, Daniel. Now that she knew his name, he looked like a Daniel. She knew that neither of them wanted to be this close to each other, but her ankle was throbbing and she wouldn't be able to walk on it. So she let herself relax in his arms, even if she didn't want to but this was the only way she could get back to the school.

Turning her head she watched as he carried her along the path that would take them both to campus, she couldn't stop herself from feeling nervous. She knew that Daniel would be popular among the female students, even if he wasn't on campus for long. Word would spread quickly the second he stepped foot through the school gates, she didn't want students assuming that he was a creature and saying something to him when he was a mere human. A mere human who seemed to be carrying her with all the ease in the world.

Biting down onto her bottom lip as she thought through everything that could happen, he'd probably drop her and take off running. Then Daniel would tell Alec and he'd never want to see her roommate again, she was usually always a positive person but just the thought of a human being surrounded by all different kinds of creatures made her feel uneasy.

(No, that is completely fine. Good luck with your exams and getting the results.)

"Well, help figuring out what in the world it is would be appreciated," Roedanya admitted with a smile. It seemed Alec had made a new friend as well. If Corvus deemed that a person smelled good and they managed to get close enough to scratch that spot or feed them, it was like automatically making a friend, though no one except her knew that about her crow. Well, that was alright anyhow. She was actually glad that the two were getting along. "Yeah, Grace is a faerie. She's a good person, and has taken a liking to Corvus. She's been giving him a big head, actually," she grinned a little.

As they continued walking, they slowly left the village and started along a forest path. Roedanya didn't know where they were going, but trusted that Alec did, since he apparently lived nearby. "The difference? Well... I guess its the sort of magic used. Wytches, with a y, use old magic. Its... well, more powerful. It has more possibilities. Witches, that's with an i, use what's called new magic. Its much more limited. But they're a lot more common as well. I've personally never met a wytch like myself." she admitted as they continued walking.

The sun was just starting to sink it seemed, leaving streaks of orange and pink across the horizon. Soon they were going to have to head back or at least one of them would be blind in the forest once it got dark. "So.. I've never personally met a vampire... what's that like?" she asked, peering over at him.
As he walked, Daniel noticed that it was going to be dark by the time he got back to the town. Well, and either Alec would be there or he wouldn't, he supposed, which meant that he would probably just end up heading home and hope that his brother was there. He hardly thought about the issues he might face once they got to the school, actually. He was a vampire, and apparently the school was filled with other creatures. So he was fine there. Grace was actually light and he had no trouble carrying her, really.

Something he fully realized was that he would more than likely be completely engulfed once he got inside school grounds, but he was hoping his ability to scare people off would work wonders for him. Or maybe the fact that he had an injured girl in his arms... anything that would do it, he'd take it.

So after some walking, he finally came upon the gates that surrounded the huge ass school, which is when he decided to speak again. "Where's the nurse's office?" he asked, glancing down at her. He was moderately surprised that at some point, she seemed to have relaxed. He had actually expected her to be stiff or glaring at him or something. Yeah.... he wished, at this point.

(haha thanks! Started the new semester yesterday, actually. I'm pretty sure I did well ^-^)

Alec had no idea how truly close Roedanya and Corvus were with each other, he had an idea but wouldn't fully understand as he didn't have someone like that in his life. Well Daniel came pretty damn close, they had been the best friend growing up and Alec was always following his big brother around. He also didn't know how well Corvus had taken a liking to him and that it meant a lot to Roedanya, "A faerie? She seems like a faerie actually, she isn't the one who has to deal with him when he gets a big head." He said smiling as he noticed where they were walking, he knew the forest like the back of his hand.

He grew up in that forest and still walked through it when he wanted to think or be alone, "That must be pretty cool though. Using old magic and all that, but how can you learn if you haven't met another wytch? Do people at the school know?" He asked her as they walked together, the sun was just beginning to set which meant he'd have to take her back to the school shortly. Though he'd spend as much time with her that he could.

"I'm not really that exciting, actually. Apart from the heightened senses, speed and strength. All of that is great to have, but I don't really do much which is mostly thanks to my brother." He told her and didn't know what else to tell her, it wasn't like he could use old magic or any magic for that matter. Being a vampire seemed boring compared to being a wytch.
Grace turned to look at Daniel when he asked about where the nurse's office was, "Go straight. That's the main building and her office is just down the hall," She pointed her finger to the building that was straight ahead of the school gates, she already saw students sitting on the grass while other's were kicking a ball around. She exhaled slowly through parted lips in hopes she'd calm herself down, it didn't work of course.

Her light eyes instantly caught a glimpse of movement from her left, it was Kim who had stood up from where she sat with her little group of followers. Kim was a beautiful witch with long blonde hair that traveled down her back, her eyes were a muddy brown and all the guys lusted after her. "Who's this Graythorn?" Kim asked in her high pitched voice once she had gotten closer, her eyes focused solely on Daniel as she twirled some of her blonde hair around her finger.

"Just a friend," Grace spoke quietly as Kim liked to always use people, she had lost count of how many times she did Kim's school work just because Kim had intimidated her. All the happiness had drained from Grace with Kim just being close by, it happened to most of the girls at school. Grace always tried to stand up for herself but it always failed, she watched as Kim stepped in front of them. "Why don't you drop her and come talk with me?" Kim asked Daniel with a sickly sweet smile on her face.

(That must be exciting! But why did you have exams if you started a new semester? Aren't exams at the end of an semester?)

"I begged her not to keep inflating his ego, and I'm glad to say that it's stopped," Roedanya laughed. It was actually sort of relieving, knowing that she didn't have to tell Alec that they couldn't see each other anymore, and that he could know what she was and everything. She was a bit surprised that he hadn't known about the school though, considering it was for creatures like them, and he lived so close. That was definitely strange. But he had no plans on going to school. They would just have to work out something where they would meet each other, she supposed. Since that seemed to be what they both wanted.

"I haven't been at that school very long. Not even a couple of months yet," she told him with a small smile. "Actually, Corvus told me what I was, and helped me figure out what to do. You wouldn't believe how much reading that sort of thing takes. I've spent practically my entire childhood in some library or another, digging for information. I feel kind of sorry for Grace at times because it seems like she constantly has to track me down and pull me away from reading, whether it be for class or to eat or just talk or whatever."

As he spoke about himself, she smiled. "Well, you seem pretty exciting to me. Or interesting at least. By the way, either your brother is an idiot and doesn't know about vampires, or he's been hiding stuff from you." She looked over at Alec. "You guys do have the heightened senses, speed, and strength, but there's more to it. You've probably never noticed, but vampires are strongest at night, that's why most vampires tend to be nocturnal. You're born predators, hence everything you listed, but vampires also have magical potential. I don't mean that they can use magic, but... well, all vampires usually have this one special ability, even if it takes a while to figure it out. Some have more than one. Some have several. Some are powerful, some seemingly useless. And before you ask how I know all of this, I read about it in a book. So no, there's really nothing boring about you."
Daniel's gaze followed where Grace's finger pointed, and he gave her a small nod. "Okay, I can do that." He went silent again as he continued on, heading for the building that she had pointed to. Then he was forced to stop as some blonde chick just stepped in front of him, and his gaze darkened. "The hell I am," he muttered as Goldy said that he was her friend.

That said, he turned his gaze to the blonde, who was even less of a friend than Goldy. "Why don't I not?" he replied, disdain dripping from every word. "I don't know what possessed you to think that I was the sort of person who would do something like that, especially considering she can't walk. Better yet, I don't know what the fuck made you think I was a friendly person." As he smiled at her, it was more like a baring of teeth and certainly wasn't friendly.

"Now, stay away from me," he growled to the blonde, moving around her. If he hadn't had Grace in his arms, he might have done something rude like bump her shoulder just to accentuate his point, but he didn't, and instead he continued to stalk across the school grounds silently, his face settling into a glower that managed to work well enough to keep anyone else from coming near him, and he made it inside the main building without further incident, giving a small sigh of relief once he was away from all those kids.

(We had exams Wednesday and Thursday. New semester was yesterday xD I love this roleplay by the way, especially rping Daniel In Love)

"Perhaps I could start to help inflate his ego," Alec gave Roedanya a cheeky grin, although as much as he was starting to really like the crow, he wouldn't do that to her. "So you're a bookworm or just read because no one else can help you? Because if you want to read up about vampires for me, go right ahead." He chuckled lightly, he pretty much knew everything he needed to know about himself and his kind. He had heard about vampires having magical potential but again, it wasn't something that he had paid much attention to. He hadn't seemed to get anything extra, so that was that in his mind.

"Daniel isn't stupid, though you could say that to his face. It'd be amusing to me, at least. I've heard about all of that but nothing has happened to me, so I never really looked into it." He shrugged his shoulders slightly, careful to not bother Corvus who he enjoyed having on his shoulder. It was a nice feeling, actually. "Are you trying to flatter me? Wow Roedanya, we haven't even been friends for long." He teased her and gave her a wink, maybe he would look through his Mother's books when he got home just to see if there was anything in there worth reading.

He sighed softly as he glanced up at the orange sky, "I'll have to get you back to the school shortly. I don't want you walking around here in the dark," He wouldn't actually leave her until he knew she was safely in the school gates, but she'd still have to walk in the dark if they didn't turn back soon.
Grace's eyes widened slightly when Daniel basically told Kim to piss off, something that not many people did to her face. "I only said you were a friend because I wanted her to leave us alone," She explained to him as she didn't consider him a friend, she doubted that she'd ever call him a friend and actually mean it. "Second door on the right," She told him knowing the nurse was always in her office during the day, if a student needed her during the night than she'd be called as she lived on the campus.

She really hoped that her ankle wasn't swelling because she had things to do tomorrow, she couldn't afford not being able to walk. As Daniel carried her, she knocked on the office door which was opened for them. "I twisted my ankle, Ms Davenport." She looked at the nurse who was in her mid fifties, her olive skin went well with her raven hair that was always tied in a bun. "Set her down on the bed, please darling." Ms Davenport spoke kindly to Daniel and once Grace was sitting on the bed, she felt Grace's ankle while she tensed her jaw to deal with the pain.

Ms Davenport wrapped her ankle and gave her some tablets to take for the pain, it was a very human way because Headmaster Baublin apparently wanted the students to never rely on magic to help them. "Thank you Ms Davenport," Grace smiled when the nurse told Daniel that he could take Grace to her dorm now, she held the door open for them. Grace gave him directions on how to get to her dorm, it was either from the tablets or from hurting her ankle. But Grace's head tilted to the side and rested against Daniel's shoulder, he had to carry her so she didn't feel bad about resting against him.

(I hated having exams. I love this roleplay as well. I do love Daniel. In Love Is Alec alright for you?)

"Don't you dare!" Roedanya's eyes widened in mock outrage, though she was almost positive that Alec wasn't being serious and wouldn't do that to her. No one knew how Corvus got... sometimes, she swore he believed that he was the best thing to ever happen to this world. He was amazing, but not that amazing! "Both is the correct answer. I was converted into a book worm," she chuckled. "And I already read up on vampires, a while back. No sense in going back," she waved his request away, as if it were nothing, a smile playing at her lips.

"Oh please, don't go getting an inflated ego too! I'm not sure if I could deal with two of you!" She was obviously referring to Corvus as well, who cawed his protest, and she grinned with a laugh. "And I'm sure telling him that he's stupid would be funny. Until I had to run because I'm almost certain he'd try to kill me for calling him stupid. And no offense to you, but he looks a tad more intimidating, so you'll have to forgive me if I doubt your ability to act as a shield for me."

When he mentioned getting back to the school, she glanced up and sighed as she saw that the sky was beginning to turn colors, meaning that the sun wasn't going to set. Damn. It felt like they'd hardly talked at all... "We'll just have to plan our next meeting better, I suppose," she told him with a small smile. "I actually wish you went to school. I don't think I would mind seeing you every day..." She gave a small shrug. "Oh well. Like you said, school isn't for everyone. Maybe we should go ahead and turn back?"
"Yeah, and obviously she didn't do that," Daniel pointed out to Grace. As she directed him towards where they needed to go, he headed over to the door, letting her knock since he couldn't actually do that while holding her. He did as directed by the older woman, laying Grace down on the bed, and then he backed off, practically moving to stand in a corner to be out of the way, silent as the nurse did her thing.

Then, they were ready to leave again, and he picked Grace up once more, thanking Ms. Davenport as she held the door open for them. As Grace gave him instructions on how to get to her dorm, he headed outside with the glower that had melted from his face back in full force to keep all the kids at bay. He was glad when he was finally indoors again, though it didn't get much better since he was promptly surrounded by a ton of females, all of which seemed to just be staring.

He ignored them though, as he followed Grace's instructions and finally made it to her room. It wasn't exactly hard to guess which bed was hers, so she didn't even need to tell him which one before he laid her down. By this time, she looked like she could probably go for a nap, so he went ahead and pulled the covers over her. "Well, with my quota for dealing with people met and exceeded for the day, I'm getting out of here," he informed her. "Try not to hurt yourself in the future, kay?" He started for the exit.

(^-^ Alec's great, don't worry!!! Besides, he's your character and I'm not going to try and tell you how and how not to write for him xD I've just personally never roleplayed a person quite as abrasive and antisocial as Daniel, and it's really fun for me. Roedanya and Corvus are great as well though, and Grace and Alec xD I love everyone)

"I'm sure you'd do just fine in dealing with us both," Alec laughed warmly, he wouldn't help Corvus' ego grow and his never grew so Roedanya would be safe. "Next time I'm forced to read something, I know who to find." He said smiling though he was never forced into doing anything, little things like reading he wasn't. He was so glad that she wasn't human, he really didn't want to stop spending time with her because he was enjoying himself so much.

"Hey! I would be an amazing shield for you, not really against my brother but anyone else wouldn't stand a chance. You'd be kept safe," He turned his head to the side so he was looking at her, even if they didn't really know each other, he still knew that if she ever needed protecting than he'd be right there for her. Daniel was extremely intimidating to people that didn't know him, in fact he was surprised that he hadn't been able to scare Grace away. Maybe he needed to up his game, not that he'd actually say that to his brother.

Alec nodded his head, "We'll plan this out much better. On the weekends we could even spend most of the day together, and we can always make plans for whenever you don't have classes." He knew this would be hard seeing as he didn't go to the school, he'd wait until Daniel was in an okay mood before bringing up the idea of him going to the school. It wasn't just to see Roedanya but that was a huge bonus, if he went then he could still learn so much about things. "Let's head back now, don't want you getting into trouble for being late." Grinning he turned around and walked back along the path with her by his side.
Grace felt her bed under her body and the blankets covering her, she looked up at Daniel. "Thank you again for helping me," She told him once again, "Why do you treat people badly? You could have some many friends if you were nice, what made you push everyone away?" She asked some rather personal questions but she didn't care, it wasn't like he was actually going to answer them anyways.

"Your brother is nice to people and look where he is, he's becoming friends with a nice girl. Why don't you want that?" She stretched out her legs under the covers and fought with herself to stay awake, she wasn't someone who took naps especially not this close to nighttime as she'd never fall asleep when she wanted to. Daniel was a distraction but if he left then she'd use school work to keep herself awake, like she has many times before.

She hadn't needed to visit the nurse many times while she has been a student, but right now she missed home. Her Mom would always be there if she had a bad day or had hurt herself, it felt strange not being able to call out to her Mom and have her come check in.

(Oh great, I know you wouldn't tell me how to play Alec. But I worry that I'm not making characters out to be enough for people, all of the characters are wonderful.)

Roedanya smiled a little at Alec's words about being a great shield, even knowing they weren't exactly having a serious conversation. "Well, I'm not worried about everyone else! I'm worried about your brother if I ever decided to tell him that he's stupid!" she argued. Yeah, there was no chance in hell that she would do that without going in prepared in some way or another. Maybe she could find some way to immobilize him so he couldn't kill her? Hmm, that would be interesting.

"Well, tomorrow's the weekend," Roedanya reminded Alec with a small grin. "Grace and I usually have breakfast at eight... so I can meet you in town after that?" Unless he had something else to do, but she found herself hoping that he didn't because spending most of a day with Alec sounded... well, extremely nice. It was so strange for her to want to spend time with a person like this, but it was like she was just drawn to him in some way that she just couldn't understand... and she wasn't exactly putting up much of a fight against it either.

"Pfft, we don't have curfew or anything," she reassured Alec as he mentioned being late. "So many students are night-oriented, they just don't bother with it." Still, she turned around with him, and they started their walk back together. Actually, what she didn't mention was that her own magic was stronger at night as well. Well, it depended on the moon. She was weakest with a new moon and strongest with a full moon. "I thank you for not getting me lost in the forest though. I don't think Corvus' eyes are any better at night than mine. Well.... actually, he's just horrible with directions," she laughed, to which her crow cawed his protest. "You are bad with directions! Remember that time when-" She huffed, rolling her eyes. "Fine, I'm sorry for hurting your feelings, you egotistical crow. And you can't deny that one!"
Daniel paused as Goldy asked her questions, going still as a statue. His back was to her as he'd been heading for the door, and he didn't bother turning around. Nor did he say a word for a long time. "You're welcome," he said in a flat tone, dark eyes emotionless. "And Goldy... it takes a lot more than getting yourself hurt to get answers to those kinds of questions."

That said, he turned back to the door, and this time didn't give her the opportunity to say anything as he left. He was out of her room, downstairs, down the hall, outside, and at the gates that led to the path to town in record time, only slowing down once he was on that path and away from all of those people.

As he began walking down the path, hands shoved in his pockets, he began to notice that the forest was already getting dark, even if it was still pretty light out in the open. Which was how he decided he wasn't going to bother waiting in town to see if Alec showed up or not. Might as well just head straight back... So Daniel veered from the path that everyone took to town, instead heading to woods to take a shortcut home.

(No worries, Alec is wonderful! ^-^ I think we might have to pause for Daniel and Grace until Roedanya and Alec catch up with them, since Daniel left... by the way, mibba seriously didn't show me an alert for this last night, so I'm sorry! Facepalm)

Alec smiled as he really hadn't had this much fun in a while, "If you ever do decide to tell Daniel that he's stupid. Then you'll have to find another way of living, I will be a horrible shield for you. But that's the only time when I'd be useless," He assured her with a smile and hoped that she never told his brother that, he really liked her and wanted to spend more time with her. If she got on Daniel's bad side then all hell could break loose, that wasn't something that he wanted to happen at all.

"I'll be here waiting for you," He promised her as his brother had nothing to stop him with now, although now he had a better reason to get home quickly. He needed to make a plan for tomorrow, he wanted Roedanya to have the best time with him and want to continue seeing him. So nothing could be boring tomorrow, not that there was heaps of things to do but there were enough. Hopefully she hadn't had time to explore so he could show her some cool places that he goes to sometimes.

Hearing the one sided bickering, he smiled and listened to Roedanya until Corvus cawed at her. "Hey now, are you being mean to my new best friend? Maybe Corvus and I will spend the whole day together tomorrow," He teased as he scratched the crow's head lightly, "Do you two bicker a lot? You do realise that it just seems like you're talking to a crow, it looks weird and makes you appear a little crazy." He told her something that he assumed she already knew, apparently he hadn't done anything to stop her from talking to Corvus in public although they weren't around other people so it was safe.

(Oh that's great to know, I didn't get an alert to tell me that you replied either.)

"Then I'll just hold off on telling him that he's stupid until I have a plan on how to live after the fact," Roedanya said with a shrug. Actually, she'd probably forget all about it by the time that she woke up tomorrow. Then again, she might not. There were just some things that you didn't forget in your sleep, and she suspected any conversation she had in Alec was going to fall under that category. Especially when it involved doing something like insulting a big scary person knowing you were likely to die.

"Great! We have a plan then!" She smiled, glad that they now had some sort of plan, even if it probably wasn't the best plan in the world. "Go ahead. I'll even try to find some way for you to talk to him, so you'll know exactly what I deal with every day," she laughed. At his question, she smiled. "Hmm, I don't think we bicker a lot, but I could be wrong... and yeah, I know I probably seem a little crazy since no one else can hear him. Around others, I'll usually speak to him silently. Its basically like telepathy, except just between Corvus and me. But I like talking out loud better, so I'm more prone to actually talking to him out loud around people I trust... Or at least around people who know I'm not crazy."

She was quick to add the last part. She and Alec had met twice, so there was no logical reason whatsoever that she would trust him. Sure, he seemed nice, but plenty of people seemed nice and weren't! Just because Corvus seemed to like him, quite a bit, didn't mean anything... except it meant everything. Her crow hadn't even taken so well to Grace at first, who she was certain he had a crush on. Well, and that made Alec a puzzle, didn't it? She supposed it was a good thing she was good at solving puzzles, because she had a feeling that this one was going to be tough to figure out.

(Mibba seems to do that sometimes. Its so irritating Facepalm)

"We do have a plan, I'm actually really excited about tomorrow." Alec admitted with a smile on his face, he didn't really get to hang out with people. Other than his brother and a few vampire friends, though his friends traveled a lot so he didn't get to see them that often. He was excited and wanted to tell Daniel, but he'd probably wait until he was about to leave before he mentioned anything. He didn't want his brother trying to stop him from seeing Roedanya again, he'd do whatever he could to make sure that didn't happen again.

Alec's interest was captured as he looked at her, "Seriously? There could be a way for me to talk to him? I wouldn't mind that, even if he does have a big ego." He grinned at her knowing he could possibly regret those words, but it would be amazing to actually speak with an animal. "Don't worry, I know you aren't crazy and I won't tell anyone that you trust me already." He said cheekily although deep down, he was glad that she felt like she could trust him without even really knowing him.

"Is it just Corvus that you can speak to or other animals?" He asked her as they left the forest and got back onto the path that would take them through the town, and to the large school. He would have to read up on witches because he knew not much about wytches would be written about, at least in the books that his Mother had collected over the years. He wanted to know what sort of things that Roedanya could possibly do with her magic, whatever he read would be different because it wouldn't be old magic but there could be somethings that are similar.

    (It's very irritating)
