The Dead Comes to Life.

Anya heard a hey and looked back seeing Daryl. She heard his question and said, "The best I can I suppose." She turned around and faced him putting her knife away so as to not make him feel threatened. She tilted her head as she studied him. "Can't sleep?" She asked.

Rick frowned and said, "She didn't like him? Seems to me like she's got a kind of weird sixth sense going on." He murmured. "I'm sorry for that. Well, you two are reunited now. I have some questions, just curiosity." He paused and then continued, "Why does Anya act like she's on her own?" He said softly.

Daryl nodded, "Have a hard time sleeping at times." He told her and smiled at her. "Glad you're making it the best you can." He told her and smiled. "Feel up for a walk?" Daryl asked her.

Allison frowned, "She's been on her own for so long, that she still thinks it. She's told me countless stories about when the world went to shit. As I have told her the one that haunts me as well." Allison sat down on her butt looking up at Rick from where she sat on the ground.

Anya shrugged and said, "It's alright, I suppose. Gotta make it somehow." She said looking at her hands. She suddenly remember Timmy, her three year old brother. She shook her head ignoring the thoughts. She looked at Daryl an nodded. "Sure." She whispered and stood up.

Rick nodded and said, "Well, I certainly hope she'll know she's not alone." He moved the lawns chair and sat down beside her. "We all have a pretty shitty past when this all started. My wife died and I lost my best friend because he tries to kill me." He murmured.

Daryl walked along the prison with her pointing out things to her that might help her out being here. He stepped out into the fresh air and walked with her down to the small pathway that walkers weren't surrounding. "So, how long have you been on your own?" Daryl asked her lightly.

Allison frowned, "I am so sorry." Allison said lightly and stared out at the walkers lingering at the bottom fence. "I lost my daughter and husband when this shit started. She was only an infant, around Judith's size." Allison told him and bit her lip at the memory.

Anya walked with him, stuffing her hands in the hoodie she had with her. She walked along with him, stopping every so often to look around. She bit her lip and murmured, "Before this even started." She laughed softly and said, "Well, that's wrong. I had one person. My three year old brother, but they got him too." She said flatly, unable to say it with a nice voice.

"You should ask Carl about it. He knows more about how his mother died than anyone else. He was the one who had to kill her." Rick murmured softly frowning ahead of him. "No wonder you seemed hesitant to hold Judith." He said and looked at her a frown on his face. "I'm sorry for that, I truly am."

Daryl frowned, "I am so sorry." Daryl told her and walked with her. "I lost my older brother a few months ago." Daryl said to her and sighed. "I know the feeling. He got turned by The Governor's men because they found him and yeah." Daryl said trying not to go into details because he didn't want to think too much about that now.

Allison shook her head, "It wasn't your fault." She told him and sighed a little. She looked out, "I can relate to him. I had to kill both of them. It killed me on the inside." She whispered clearing her throat as she tears began to fall. She wiped them away quickly. "So have you had any problem with The Governor? I swear that man was creepy. He tried his damn hardest to get Any and I to stay. But we refused and fled." Allison to him.

Anya shook her head and said, "Doesnt matter now." She heard about his brother and looked up at him listening. She nodded and said, "I get that. He seemed...just...wrong." She frowned and said, "I don't know why but he just didn't seem right to me. I'm just glad that we left." She said. She ran a hand throughout her soft hair and looked up at him. She was quite small. She was five one and was tiny. She was dangerous though. She nodded and said, "im sorry you lost your brother."

Rick frowned and said, "Im sorry. I really am. I've had to kill a lot of my friends because they turned." He shook his head and said, "That's something I wouldn't wish on anyone." He touched her arm gently and squeezed It letting her know he was there. He pulled away lightly and said, "Yeah. He killed Merle, Daryl's older brother, and others." He frowned.

Daryl shook his head and looked at her. "I am sorry you did too." He looked down at her and gave a light, sorrowed smile to her. He let a soft sigh escape his lips. He ran his hand through his hair nodding his head at her comments. "He does seem off. That's all I really can say." He told her and shrugged lightly.

Allison frowned shaking her head, "He's really a nightmare, huh?" She asked seeing him nod his head to her. She frowned and shook it. "I am just glad we left and you guys came along." She told him and smiled at him. She glanced up seeing Carl, his son coming towards the two of them.

Anya smiled softly and shook her head, "At this point the past doesn't matter." She mumbled running a hand through her hair. She bit her lip and murmured, "He was sick. I don't mean physically sick. I mean mentally fucked up." She sighed and looked down at her hands and clenched them into fists. She released them and tried to relaxed. She heard his words and shook her head lightly. "I just. I don't know." She sighed and leaned against the fence as she looked up at the sky.

"You honestly just didn't see his bad side." Rick said. He laughed and nodded gently as he ran a hand throughout his hair. He saw Carl coming and smiled. He hugged him and sat him down next to him. "Hey." Carl nodded and brought him food before saying, "Hey dad, Daryl is on a walk, so he asked you guys to be careful. He's with that other girl." He gave Allison some food and left.

Daryl stared up at the sky seeing the stars dancing and the moon setting in the sky. "Even though the world is complete shit. This is nice." Daryl admitted towards her and smiled. He took and smiled to himself staring up at the sky.

Allison smiled watching Carl left. She held the food in her hands and looked at Rick. "He seems like a sweetheart." Allison said and gave a light smile to Rick. She took a bite of her food and looked up at the beautiful night sky. "This is nice." She muttered mostly to herself but knew as quiet as it was he probably heard her.

Anya watched the stars, and shut her eyes unable to look at the sky and imagine anything being okay anymore. She couldn't allow herself. She opened them again as she looked at Daryl and said, "Mmhmm." Even thought she didn't mean it. She wasn't letting anyone in.

Rick smiled and said, "Yes. He is. A nice young man indeed. I mean he has his flaws but who doesn't?" He chuckled and started to eat his food. They only really got maybe two meals a day. Usually one. He watched the night sky. He heard Allison and said, "Yes."

Daryl glanced over at her and gave a slight frown. "Are you hungry?" Daryl asked her as he took and crossed his arms over his chest softly. He watched her knowing she wouldn't accept anyone. But he was going to do his damn hardest to try and get to be with her.

Allison smiled over at him and finished her food. She took and laid the small plate beside of her and looked out at the walkers in the field coming towards them. She frowned a little just wanting to kill them all. They had ruined her life so much and she just wanted to get her anger out and get them taken care of.

Anya saw the frown and tilted her head. "No." She said which was the truth. She hadn't had much of an appetite the whole day. She would eat tomorrow. "I'll just eat tomorrow." She responded and felt his eyes on her. She turned her emerald eyes up onto him. Tireless curiosity drew upon her face as she soon looked back down. "What's wrong?" She asked.

Rick finished up his own food and set down the plate and looked up at the stars and yawned softly. He had been taking care of Judith for nights on end and it was starting to get exhausting. He chuckled as he watched the walkers and soon anger spread onto his face as he watched them.

Daryl shook his head, "Just trying to understand you, that's all." Daryl told her and gave her a light smile. He took and nodded his head to her eating and shoved his hands into his pocket. "Are you tired?" Daryl asked her.

Allison looked over at Rick and squeezed his hand lightly, "It's ok." She whispered lightly to him and took his plate. "I'll take them in." She replied softly to him. She took and carried the plates inside and handed to the one called Maggie. She walked back out and sat back down at Rick.

Anya blinked and said, "Good luck with that one." She gave a small smile in return thinking that it was just simply amazing how nice these people were without so much as caution in her opinion. "Nah." She shook her head and sat down gently.

Rick squeezed back and nodded and watched her take their plates and nodded, "Alright." Watching the walkers and making sure no breach came upon the prison they were in. It was his job to protect everyone and that's what he was going to do.

Daryl sat down with her. He took and looked out at the walkers down in the field and coming out of the woods. He lent forwards knowing he was just like her at one point.

Allison sat down beside of Rick and looked at him lightly. She gave him a light smile, "Are you ok?" She asked quietly.

Looking out at the stars, Anya pulled her knees to her chest and laid her chin down on the top of them as she wrapped her arms around them. She watched the stars with a wondering gaze. You could practically see the stars in her eyes.

Rick heard her words and her look and nodded, "Yes." He chuckled and said, "What about you?"

Daryl watched her a second before laying back. He slid his hands underneath his head. He watched the stars and listened to the small creatures of the night chirping and making their own noise.

Allison nodded her head, "Yes." she replied softly and looked at the sky. She smiled admiring the beauty it had to offer.

Anya closed her eyes and curled up like that. She felt as relaxed. She hadn't felt his way in quite a long time. She smiled to herself as she did so. She then murmured, "I wonder if God is real, and if he is why did he create this shit storm, and then I think if he was real, he wouldn't of." She murmured, more to herself than to Daryl.

Rick nodded and said, "Good." He chuckled and said, "You should go inside and get some sleep," He paused and added, "if you can." He frowned and looked at her and said, "I won't be sleeping tonight." He laughed.
