"Goodmorning, Vivian." Richter greeted her politely when she slipped from her chamber doors. "Goodmorning." Her response was formal and obligatory, as most things were between the two. "Where are you going?" That was usually the first question he asked; he didn't like the girl much, but having her running around and getting into trouble would be a fault on his part.

"I'm going riding."

"I must be somewhere, I can't escort you."

"I'll find an escort, then." The brunette said finally, pleased that he wouldn't be accompanying her. The man watched her turn and stroll down the corridor before sighing and headig back in the direction he'd come, figuring what the woman didn't know wouldn't hurt her.

Gwen was in her chamber brushing her hair as she thought about Sir Wichter. She knew she loved him, but she was not for sure if he loved her or if he was indeed going to go through with getting married to Lady Pyre. Looking in the mirror she sighed knowing that the Lady Pyre was much more elegant that herself. Setting her brush down she went to the window to see the Lady talking with Sir Cavill.

When Lady Pyre came up to him and asked him to escort her as she went out riding, Alexander became very hesitant. Why wasn't Sir Wichter escorting her for he was about to be married to her. But as Alex saw the way she was looking at him there was no way he could say no. "Where do you wish to ride to?" he asked her as he began walking with her to the stables.

"Anywhere, really. Show me any trails you know." She much preferred the company of Sir Cavill; he wasn't nearly as controlling, and it probably helped his case that he wasn't something she could easily have. "Humor me, Sir Alexander."

Nathaniel Wichter
The man slipped into Lady Gwen's chamber without much warning, fearing he'd be spotted outside her quarters if he waited long enough to knock. "Are you decent?" The man said lowly, waiting behind the wall for her response.

Alexander nodded as they entered the stables he got his horse ready before Lady Pyre's. "Would you like me to help you onto your horse?" he asked as he led both horses out of the stable.

Gwen Corrigan
Gwen jumped as she heard Sir Wichter's voice. "Yes, I'm decent Sir." she said as she turned slowly from the window to face him. "Is everything alright Sir?"

The woman nodded, reaching out to stroke her own horses's nose. "I would, Sir. That would be kind of you." Wichter wouldn'f have a problem with who she was riding with, considering the two were friends, but he might've had a problem with the way she looked at him.

"Everything is fine." He stepped out from behind the wall and ventured further into the room and closer to her. "I just wanted to come see you, is all. Lady Vivian is out riding." He didn't much care with who, as long as the girl didn't do anything to shame either of them.

Alexander nodded as he picked her up by the waist and set her on her horse as he turned for his own. Blushing slightly from the way she stared at him Alexander turned to looked at her. "Would you like to go to a small stream, or to a field full of beautiful flowers in bloom?" he asked her as he pulled himself onto his horse.

"Yes, I know." she said softly as she watched Sir Wichter move across the room. She looked over at Nathaniel with a small blush for she was not used to men paying attention to her even though she was a noble. Gwen was always nervous around men but with Nathaniel it was more so.

"Can't we pass both?" She was settled on her horse side-saddle, watching him mount after her. She wanted to be gone from the castle and her betrothed as long as possible, all too eager to run from her responsibilities.

"She's... a handful. I wish she was more like you." Vivian was too eager to speak her mind, when given the opportunity, and he didn't like it. Lady Gwen was much more timid.

"Alright, but it will probably take all day." he said as he turned around face forward giving the horse a gentle kick of his heels to make him move forward.

Gwen blushed a bright red from his words causing her to have to look away from his face. "I'm sure she doesn't mean to be so troublesome." Gwen said softly as she fidgeted nervously.

Vivian Pyre
"Perfect." She urged her horse forward to keep pace with his, her hair pulled around to the side in a soft braid. "I do hope I'm not burdening you, Alexander."

Nathaniel Wichter
"Aye, but she does. She's not exactly pleased with the engagement, but she hasn't much of a choice." If he had it his way, he'd have chosen a more docile wife.

Alexander stiffened a bit when he heard her use his given name. "You're not a burden at all Lady Vivian." he said as he patted his horse on it's head. "It will be about an hours ride to the stream." he stated a bit nervous about being alone with her that long.

"Give her time Sir Nathaniel, I'm sure she will come to love you as a wife should." Gwen said as she looked up at him wishing she was in Lady Vivian's place instead of her own.

"Wonderful." The longer he kept her away from her betrothed, the better. Wichter wouldn't be pleased if it was too long, but there wasn't much he'd do to her. Nothing detrimental.

"And maybe by then, pigs will fly." He didn't like her in the least, but he was determined to keep her reined in. "And what of you? Accepted any proposals yet?"

Alexander sat quietly as he rode his horse, he wasn't quite sure what to do or say around Lady Vivian. For she was very different than many of the women he had been around. "How are you and Sir Nathaniel doing?"Alexander said finally getting up the nerve to say something to her.

"I guess I have not caught the eye of any men. For I have yet to receive a proposal." Gwen said with a small frown, she knew though even if someone had asked her she would want to get to know them and then only say yes if she truly loved the man.

"Nathaniel Wichter is an arrogant, controlling ass. And if you intend on telling him I said so, don't bother. I've already told him. She'd asked the man to escort her several times before, and had rather taken a liking to him.

Her family wasn't particularly rich. They were well-off, but not wealthy to the point that suitors were fighting for her. "I'm sure a man will realize what he's got with you soon enough."

Alexander's eyes grew wide as he let out a deep breath he didn't seem to remember holding. "I guess you are not liking your stay here with us then." he asked as he tried to think of something to change the subject before it got out of hand.

"Thank you Sir Nathaniel, that is very kind of you." Gwen said giving him a small smile. "But it might help just a tad if you didn't just come to visit me in my bedchambers." she said letting out a soft laugh as she blushed, thinking about what others might think of his visit to her.

"Some here are... better than others." The woman merely shrugged. Her fiancé might've been an ass, but she found that she got along well with others in the castle.

"Ah, yes. That's why I didn't bother to knock. No one has to know. But I can leave if it'd please you, miss." He had lowered his voice as he got closer to the door.

"Well I'm glad it has not been to awful." Alexander said as he pulled back on the reins. "Here we are." he said patting his horse on his neck. "The horses need a bit of rest and some water before we move on to the small field." Alexander stated as he dismounted and led hos horse over to the small stream of water. Walking over to Lady Vivian he patted her horse as he looked up at her. "Would you like me to help you down Lady Vivian?" he asked her as he held her horse's reins.

"NO! I mean, not if you wish to stay." she said trying to compose herself. She didn't know many people here, she had came with Lady Vivian so that she would know and be able to talk to someone when she needed be.

Vivian Pyre They'd reached the stream that he'd described to her earlier, and she watched with disguised interest as he dismounted and took his horse over for a drink. "I would, sir." She offered him her dainty hand.

"You must be quiet." The man hurried closer and hushed her. "If any bachelors have any reason to believe I've been doing more than visiting you, you'll have no respectable husband."

Alexander took her hand in his placing it on his shoulder as he placed his hands around her waist to lift her off the horse and place her on the ground gently. He smiled at her before leading her horse over to the stream. Looking over at her he glanced at the ground that was damp from the stream before he spoke. "If you wish to sit down and rest for a moment the only thing I have for you to sit on is my shirt, for I wouldn't want you to ruin your dress."

Gwen stood very still, she had never been so close to a man before. As her chest rose and fell she caught the scent of Sir Nathaniel. Noticing he smelt like leather and something else she couldn't quite place she decided she really didn't care what it was for she loved it either way. "I'm sorry Sir." the small woman whispered

"Didn't anyone ever teach you that dresses were made to be ruined? No, I've been sitting for an hour. I'll stand, but thank you." A smile pulled at her lips, and she curtsied, something she rarely ever did—except sarcastically—in Wichter's presence.

His brows furrowed. "It'd be a shame for a lady like you to be reduced to a rich man's mistress, or worse, a poor man's wife. I shouldn't have come, I don't think." Not when the only thing she could ever be to him was a plaything, his soon-to-be marriage permitting.
