Daisy saw a great cosplay from a game she had played when she was younger and she paused to request a picture. They obliged and she thanked them and ran after her friend Gabbi. "This is so much fun!" She exclaimed, going through some of the pictures on her camera. She had already taken at least a hundred and it was only half way through the first day. There were so many kind and friendly people here, the atmosphere was just bringing her mood up more and more as they went. It was hard not to be excited, knowing that several of her favorite YouTubers were here at the convention, namely Markiplier. She really hoped that she would run into him at some point and get a picture. Daisy had already forgotten that she'd put her name in the raffle to meet him and get to spend the convention with him. "I wonder what that line is for," she commented, seeing a group of people waiting outside one of the panel rooms. Whatever panel was starting, they were just now letting people in for it.
"Let's go check it out," she suggested, heading over to the large group of people slowly filing into the room. Just then, she realized she could see Markiplier, PewDiePie, and several other YouTubers on the stage in the room. Excited, she gripped her friends' shoulder and shook her a little. "Gabbi! Gabbi look!" She grinned, knowing that PewDiePie was one of her friend's favorite YouTubers. A man with a microphone announced that they would be reading the raffle winner names and she suddenly remember that she and Gabbi had entered into that, her for Mark and Gabbi for Felix. Looking at the crowd though, she knew that the odds of them winning were pretty slim. Ah well, she still could get the chance to see Mark during the convention. She would be happy for whoever the lucky winner was.
"Daisy Edmunds!" She heard and looked up in surprise. What? Gabbi pushed her forward, ushering her to go up to the desk. Wait, she had won? She had actually won? Daisy was at least 99% sure she was dreaming right now as she walked up to the desk and showed them her driver's licence. The convention employee at the desk told her to go up on stage and stand by Mark. She had to be dreaming as she stepped up the stairs and stood a nervous few feet away from Markiplier.
Felix leaned over and looked at the cards that Mark was holding. Even though he knew he wasn't going to know who had won him from just looking at the names, he still wanted to see. He had to admit, even though he had one of the largest fan bases on YouTube, it still always surprised him to see just how many people turned up to see him and his fellow YouTubers. He smiled at Mark and nodded. "I'm okay, just really humbled," he explained in his accent. They passed the notes onto the convention volunteer who was in charge of reading off the names and they took their places on the stage as people began to fill the room. He was nervous, but mostly excited. He always enjoyed meeting fans but after he had grown so big, it was impossible to give every fan the personal attention that they gave to him. So things like this always made it worth it to be able to give back, even in just the smallest ways.
"Alright everyone, are you ready to find out our YouTuber raffle winners?" The convention employee announced into a microphone after the room was filled with people. Felix was amazed, the crowd was huge and it still wasn't even a fifth of the amount of people at the convention in total. The crowd cheered and a few of the YouTubers joined in, himself included. "Alright, to the winners, please go up to the desk here when I call your name. We do need to see IDs people, we have had people claim to be someone else before unfortunately," the guy told the crowd. "Alright, for Mark, aka Markiplier, we have..." The guy pulled out the card that had Mark's name on it. "Daisy Edmunds!" He announced.
The crowd clapped. A young woman, who seemed dazed almost, made her way up to the desk by the stage, showed ID, and came up to stand nervously next to Mark. Felix was next and he watched the crowd, almost nervous himself. He wondered who he would be spending the next four days with. "For Felix, aka PewDiePie, we have..." He pulled the card. "Gabbi Leanne!" Felix looked out over the crowd as they clapped, scanning to see where she was. Finally he saw another surprised face making their way to the desk until she came to stand by him. He smiled and stuck out a hand. "Hello!" He said, quietly though as they announced the next winner for the few more YouTubers after them.
