Connor smiled a little as he made his rounds through the animal shelter. There was nowhere else he would rather be than here. He loved this place. Sure, he was a college student on the side, but working here was perfect. He loved working with the animals. It was nice - and he had nice people working with him too, like Danny. The animals were the best though. There was no best friend like an animal. He loved all of the dogs and the cats. Most identified as a cat or a dog person - he didn't classify himself as either. He was just a person. A person who loved animals in general. He was making his rounds through the cats now.
"Hi babies!" He said to the kittens who were in their small cages and he pulled one out, cuddling her to him for a moment and smiling. "You guys will find a home today, I can feel it." He said as he nuzzled her face and she held him close. He just wanted someone to love these animals. They deserved a home. He loved all of the animals here and he hated equally as much that they hadn't found homes for them yet. There were so many animals here. They were all so good, just looking for good homes, but they couldn't find homes. Just because they were shelter animals - and he hated that. He wanted someone who would just come and understand the animals as much as he did. That was probably why he was single too - because no one understood his connections to this place.
He was very passionate about that.

Adie gasped as she heard her roommate calling her name. She groaned a little. She was in the other room, making her breakfast when she heard this call and she had yet to have her coffee - so she wasn't very enthused by any sort of noise. And then she heard the reason for her being called and she gasped, nodding her head. "Oh my gosh, that would be so much fun!" She said happily and then shook her head. "But what about a dog too?"
Adie was more of a dog person.. She loved cats as well, but she had always had a dog growing up. She had continuously had a dog. As soon as one dog had was gone, another was always there. She was raised in a family of animal lovers, and she loved animals always. Now with the apartment, it just felt lonely and sad. Dogs always made the house so much happier to her. What sucked the most was that her last dog had died just before she had gone for college - and her parents vowed they wouldn't get a new dog for now. Why not? She wished they would, but maybe she really just missed her old dogs. She missed a house of dogs and the comfort that came from it. She was so used to the cuddling and the slobbery kisses. She needed that back - but was a dog too much to want to bring to an apartment? She didn't know. A cat
"I mean.. maybe that's a little ambitious - but let's go! At least I could look at a dog and cuddle with a dog!" She smiled lightly and pulled on clothes quickly, smiling at her best friend. A cat would suffice anyway. She loved cats too - though sometimes they were far less cuddly than her happy dogs were. "We better get a really cute kitten!" She giggled.
