The silence of Catriona's local library bought a feeling of peace over the blonde haired woman as she scanned the spines of several worn books. Books that had been read over and over, sharing its contents with both young and old minds. The library was the one place Catriona could lose herself to the meticulous tales of famous heroes and underratted heroines.
As she walked through the shelves she forgot aboit all her duties at work and the constant nagging feeling that she had better things to be doing then wandering aimlessly around the library.
There was a slight disturbance in the public place but the blonde simply shrugged her shoulders and continued her search ifnoring the hushed whispers that had begun to fill the library.
Dylan walked down the busy street, rain fell at a constant steady pace slowly but surely soaking the clothes he wore. Looking up he spied a bar, cutting in front of the few people behind him he entered. Walking over to the bar he took a seat shrugging out of his rain soaked jacket.
The brown haired actor had just straightened himself when a he was pulled around. His eyes widened as he took in her brown hair, perfect makeup and beautiful blue eyes. He wanted to speak but the words stuck in his throat as he tried to comprehend who he was looking at.

Robert had almost made it through his day without being spotted by any fans until he made the horrible decision to grab a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Some teeny bopper there happened to recognize him, which led to her and a few of her friends following him down the road, which led to even more girls following him. Fans were ballsy, but they usually weren't too ballsy, so he hoped that none of them would follow him into the library.

He didn't actually have a library card, but he figured it would be a good place to hopefully take cover for a while. He ducked to the back of the library, tossing himself between the shelves of romance and science fiction novels. He was catching his breath as he leaned back against the bookshelf, heaving his chest as he just barely caught sight of the blonde on the other side of the aisle.
After their breakup, Leah never planned on seeing Dylan again. When he'd dumped her due to the fact that they could never see each other, her heart was completely shattered, and it took a very long time for her to even begin to move on, and even then, Leah had always known she wasn't completely over him. She spent all of her time trying to forget about him, but she never expected him to walk into the bar she worked at, especially not when she was the only waitress on shift.

"Dylan?" She said, shocked to see him sitting on the bar stool soaking wet.

Catriona looked over her shoulder as she heard voices coming closer toward her. Craning her neck she saw a group of teenage girls dressed in school uniforms cluthing their phones and talking animatedly to one and other.

As Catriona listened she was sure she heard the name Robert Sheehan but then again she could have been hearing things. Drawing her books to her chest she began to make her way to the counter.

From where she stood it was quickest to cut through the romance and science fiction section. As she walked through her breath stuck in her throat when she saw him. His hair still as wild as it has been four years ago. Bowing her head she allowed her hair to curtain her face.

    This couldn't be happening.
"Leah?!" Her name fell from his lips surprise thick in his tone. Dylan has never thought he would see her again, and he definitely didn't think he would see her by chance working in  a bar.

Leah was still as beautiful as he remembered. An instant wave of guilt and pain washed over him as he looked at her. Memories of their messy breakup flashed through his mind. His eyes averted from hers taking a sudden interest to the surroundings on his right.

"How have you been?" He cringed at the question but what else was he supposed to say. You're looking good... considering...

When she walked past him, Robert recognized her almost immediately. Her sparkling blonde hair and soft lips were unmistakeable. He hasn't seen her in years, and she had grown quite a lot in that time.

"Catriona? Is that you?" He asked, taking a step forward and realizing that yes, it definitely was. "What are you doing here? I mean, I wasn't expecting to see you here."
Leah was still have in shock having seen him there. He still looked just as handsome as he did when he broke up with her, and that freaked her out even more.

"I - I'm good," she stuttered, tossing her hair behind her neck as she tapped her pen against her pad of paper. She had no idea what to say to him after everything that had happened. "Can I get you something to drink?"

Catriona took a deep breath before turning to look at the curly haired male. She forced a smile across even though all she wanted to do was yell at him and hit him.

It had been nearly four years since she had heard anything from him. Nearly four years since she had recieved a phone call, text message, email or handwritten letter from him.

And now here he stood in the local library holding a foam cup of coffee and wearing a smile as if nothing between the two had changed.

"Ditto. Didn't think you were coming back," she stated honestly shuffling her books in her arms.
Dylan hesitated as he thought over. It was too early to start drinking heavy so he decided on a glass of water. As he watched the young woman walk off he thought to himself about their shared past and how beautiful it had been up until the breakup.

When Leah returned with a glass of water he spoke, "How long have you been working here for?"

Robert chuckled, running his hands through his curly hair as he looked at Catriona. She really hadn't changed a bit in the four years since he had last seen her. "Neither did I, but I guess we all come back eventually," he said with a shrug of his shoulders.

He looked down at Catriona's arms and noted the small stack of books she was carrying, while he just held his coffee. "You always were a reader, weren't you?" He remembered all the times he would go to Catriona's house only to find her with her nose shoved in a book and a mess of half eaten cookies beside her.
Leah went and grabbed Dylan a glass of water, taking a deep breath as she filled the cup up with ice. She still couldn't believe that he was in her bar and there were a million and one things she felt like she needed to say to him, but she couldn't say any.

She returned to Dylan's table with the glass and passed it to him with a straw. "About 6 months," she answered with a nod of her head. "Ever since I moved out here, really." She should have known moving to California was a bad decision. Even though it was a big state, she was bound to run into him sooner or later. "Can I get you anything to eat?" Leah felt like she needed to hurry up and take his order before everything inside her exploded.

Catriona nodded her head as her eyes lingered down to the pile of books before returning to stare into Robert's hazel eyes. The males eyes had alway fascinated the blonde. The intricacy of the colours. How in some lights they looked brown where as in others they had a slightly greener look to them.

"Yes. And I always plan to be." the blonde didn't want to talk small talk she wanted to know why in all his time away he had never made contact with her.  Surely he couldn't have been too busy to pick up a phone and give her a call. However she bit back her questions and chose another.

"How's hollywood treatin' ya? Got yourself an American sweetheart?"
Dylan nodded his head as she told him how long she had been working. Six months. It had been nearly seven since their breakup and for nearly seven months the actor had been kicking himself for giving up on their relationship.

Dylan spluttered when she asked if he wanted anything to eat. The brown haired male had never been here so he had no idea what was good and what wasn't.

    "What's good?"

"It's been good," he said with a nod. Hollywood was nothing like being back at home, but it had its perks. He was getting used to dealing with the craziness of California and the exuberant people who lived there. "I've met a few girls, but none of it has amounted to anything serious."

He'd had a small crush on his costar, Lilly, for a brief moment, but that went away quickly. He'd dated a few girls off and on in his time away, but he didn't have a special someone just yet, which was part of the reason it was so easy for him to pack up and visit home out of no where.
"Just about everything," Leah said as she tried to find something to put her eyes on that wasn't Dylan. It was so weird to be looking at him again and not able to say all of the things she felt like she needed to say. Like why was he here and why was he acting like they hadn't just gone through the worst break up of all time. "If you're still into burgers, ours are pretty good."

Leah remembered all the times they had gone out to lunch or dinner together and Dylan would order the biggest burger imaginable and find some way to stuff it in his face and not gain any weight at all.

Catriona nodded her head at the brown haired actor and couldn't help the twinge of jealousy that rippled through her body. Quickly she shook herself out of it. "So how long are you back for?" Catriona hoped the male would plan to stay a while. She wanted to spend sometime with him and find out why he hadn't spoken to her since moving away to the big smoke leaving her and their hometown behind.

Suddenly their conversation was rudely interrupted when a small group of teenage girls spied the curly haired actor and rushed over to him asking for a photograph or an autograph. The blonde took this as her cue to leave. Moving her books she walked toward the counter placing them on the counter to be scanned.

"Hello Luv," the attendant greeted her with a warm smile.

"Hiya," Catriona returned the smile as she watched her scan her books through before handing them back to her. Cradling the pile to her chest she turned and walked out of the building toward her car.
Dylan smiled nodding his head, "I'll take the biggest one." The brown haired actor wanted so badly to talk to his ex, he wanted to talk to her about their breakup and how much he regretted it. How he had spent weeks beating himself up over it.

He missed her, the smell of her shampoo that lingered on her pillow, the sweet scent of her perfume that was always on her clothes. He missed spending the nights holding her in his arms, their bodies entwined as they slept soundly. Dylan hadn't had a proper night sleep for months, it was always a broken sleep that would have him constantly waking up at ungodly hours of the morning, then it would take him another hour to get back to sleep.

Robert had hoped he'd lost the pack of teenage girls, but he wasn't so lucky. In the middle of his and Catriona's conversation, the group came up to him and began asking for autographs and photos, which he had no choice but to give him. They held his attention for several moments until he realized Catriona had left.

After he had finished with the last autograph, he looked around the library to try to find Catriona again and spotted her at the front desk, passing her stack of books to the attendant.
Leah nodded and turned away, walking to the kitchen to put in Dylan's order. It felt like just yesterday that they were eating lunch together, laughing and smiling while they talked about what had gone on that day. She stood in the kitchen until Dylan's burger was ready, unable to go back out there and look at him again.

She threw a forced smile on her face while she went to his table to drop off his burger. He was just sitting there waiting, looking as handsome as ever. She set the burger down in front of him and passed him some extra napkins. "Is there anything else I can do for you?"

Catriona was walking out of the library with her books her thoughts were going a million miles an hour. Her quick steps slowed to a meander as she debated turning back and talking to the curly haired actor for a little longer. Taking a deep breath she turned and walked back toward the library to find he was walking out. Ceasing her movements she spoke.

"Would you maybe like to grab lunch together?" she kicked herself at how pathetic she sounded. "You..uh... you don't have to if you don't want to." pushing a few strands of her blonde hair behind her ears she waited for Robert's answer. Nervously she caught her bottom lip between her teeth as she waited anxiously.
Dylan watched as Leah disappeared into the kitchen area. Sighing he clasped his hands together and looked at his glass of water that was sweating, droplets of water slowly slid down the outside of the large glass.

As he sat there he began to think about everything that he and the brown haired beauty had done together, even before they were a couple. The laughs and jokes that had shared. The movie nights and game nights they had shared before he had become famous. How their relationship had been strained with his rise, the constant shooting of Teen Wolf and then several movies. The First Time, The Internship and his newly released The Maze Runner.

Dylan was pulled out his thoughts when he heard her voice, he watched as she placed the plate in front of him a large burger with several chips made his mouth water.

"No, not yet anyway," he smiled at her warmly.

For some reason, Robert was surprised to see Catriona turn around back into the library and walk straight towards him, still clutching her books. He smiled at her when she reached him and she was quick to speak.

"Yeah, definitely, Robert said with a quick nod of his head. It had been a long time since they'd seen each other, so they had some catching up to do. "Like right now?"
Leah hated herself for it, but she was desperate to talk to Dylan. To say anything to him at all. After she sat down his burger, she stood for a moment longer. "So, I'm glad hollywood's going well for you, she said with a mod of her head. "Just thought you should know that."

Catriona couldn't stop a smile from breaking across her face when the dark haired male accepted to grab lunch with her, she was even more surprised when he thought she meant now, she hadn't but she wasn't about to tell him that.

"Sure, now's perfect," she admitted smiling widely. "Come on," she walked up so she was beside him before the two fell in step as they walked toward her car together. Unlocking the vehicle she threw her books onto the back seat before jumping into the drivers seat. "So where to?"
Dylan smiled at the brunette even though his mouth was filled with hamburger, quickly swallowing he spoke, "Thanks," he wanted to continue and saw that it wasn't going as well as he let on. It hadn't been since the two had broken up but he kept that to himself. "So... have you got any plans for the future?" he asked wanting to keep the conversation flowing between the two of them.

Robert still remembered her car from when they were friends. He thought it was probably the only car she'd ever had. Or at least the only one he'd ever been in. He hopped into the passenger's seat and looked over at Catriona as she put on her sunglasses, admiring her eyes for a moment before she covered them up.

"I don't know," he said, shrugging his shoulders. "What's still good around here?" It'd been a while since he'd eaten something that wasn't a new-aged health meal from Cali, so he didn't have any suggestions.
"Not really," Leah said, shrugging her shoulders. "I took a semester off of school to... sort things out." She'd had trouble focusing on her classes when she and Dylan had broken up and decided to wait a semester to go back so she could figure out what she really wanted to do with her life and whether or not she wanted to move far, far away from Dylan.

It was so hard to see him sitting there again like nothing had ever happened. It was almost like he'd completely forgotten how madly in love she had been with him, aside from the fact that they had a hard time talking to one another.

Catriona shrugged her shoulders, "nothing," she stated in a deadpanned voice, that wasn't true she just never really got out, if she wasn't working she was studying. Most of her friends were busy with work or their families so they were never around to hang out with.

Biting her lip she spoke, "We could go back to mine and I'll make you one," the blonde was a little hesitant was she moving to quickly? The truth was she would rather be in the privacy of her own home then have to worry about the constant interruptions with cameras and teenage girls.
Dylan nodded his head completely understanding why she had chosen to take a semester off. He took another bite of his burger. He didn't really know what to say, he couldn't exactly talk about their relationship in the bar considering she was working and there were bound to be ears listening in. However he didn't have to speak because his phone began to ring in his pocket. Quickly he fished it out and saw the caller ID.

"Tyler, what's up?" his co-star and best friend spoke into the phone.

"Dude you still coming today or what?" Dylan had forgot about the get together with him and a few other guys from the Teen Wolf cast, mentally hitting himself he spoke.

"Yeah I am, it slipped my mind. I'm on my way," quickly he hung up and grabbed his wallet fishing out a fifty before dropping it on the bar. Looking up he saw smiled at the brown haired girl.

"It was good seeing you again Leah," he stated before turning and leaving.

"That sounds good to me," Robert said with a nod of his head. It had been a long time since he had been to Catriona's place. The last time had to be a few months before he'd gone out to California, at the earliest. And that had been a long time. It seemed they had begun to grow apart the more Robert talked about leaving, even before he had actually left.

Robert hoped that they still had enough of a friendship that it wouldn't be awkward between them, but he figured anything would be better than being swarmed by crazy fans again.
Even before their breakup, it wasn't unlike Dylan to be interrupted by ringing phone, a passing fan or anything else, really. It was part of the reason that Leah and Dylan had broken up, reminding Leah once again that Dylan had a million and one other things going on.

He was out the door just as quickly as he had entered it, leaving Leah to stand there and nod her head while she cleaned off his table, whispering to herself, "it was nice to see you too."

Catriona smiled as she started the engine of her car. Quickly she pulled out of the car park and drove toward her home. The ride was silent and it was getting awkward for the blonde so she decided to break it with a conversation starter.

"So what are you doing at the moment? Working on any new movies?" the blonde was genuinely interested in knowing what Robert was doing with his career. Since moving to California she hadn't heard much about him. Except for playing Simon Lewis in the Movie adaption of Mortal Instruments, The City of Bones. Turning she looked at the male.
As soon as Dylan had walked out of the bar he felt bad. He had barely spoken to her before he had been rudely interrupted by a phone call. The truth was the male really wanted to talk to her, maybe even have a drink with her and hear about everything that has bee going on in her life while he has been out of it.

Dylan made a memo that he would go and see her tomorrow. For now however he had to catch up with his co-star and best friend Tyler. The two of them had a day of serious gaming planned.
