Okay yes! That's awesome! I like where this is going. And honestly, I haven't thought of this idea until recently.

WOW sorry I've been MIA my internet was out and I was busy with school and that whole deal. So what I came up with so far is that the Bruins used to be wolves and the witches casted a spell on them to turn them into bears, and since bears hibernate, I figured that the Bruins could basically shift whenever they want, except for the winter time. With their alliance with the Rangers, they can watch out after the Bruins during the winter and throughout the rest of the year, they can just take turns watching out for each other. If/when the Bruins get their hands on the spell book, they can try to find a spell to either go back to being a wolf (idk exactly how long they've been bears yet?) or they can choose to stay a bear, but break that hibernation spell.

I still have a lot of kinks to work out but that's just the general idea I came up with. I figured that depending on how long the Bruins have been bears, some of them, especially the younger ones, would want to stay bears since they have been bears most of their lives. What do you guys think?

OH and I really love the idea with Kreider! Using their real life talents/skills is a really good idea.

That idea sounds great! The hibernation spell sounds perfect! It's nice to know that this species have a certain flaw that they just want to rid themselves of. So as Calli (or you, I don't remember whose idea that was) said, the spell is somewhere in the grimoire but no one knew about it. But no one has an idea about where it is because the ancient witches, or whoever cursed the pack hid it someone in the ancient grimoire so no one can find it.

Would the Bruins have witches they collaborate with or they just outright hate all witches because of what they've done to their kind? And would the Bruins be a part of any conflicts outside of helping the Rangers and the Oilers? If so, what did you have in mind?

Despite all that, I have a good idea of how to get the Bruins involved with the alliance. So when Gerry comes back to the Rangers pack, there might be word that traveled to Boston that a witch is in NYC, so they believe she would know something about the spell? So they travel down to pester her about it?

Or maybe the link between your character and Ference can also bring everyone together, so it's all up to you.

Since the Oilers were in Alberta before the Flames, then that could be where the hatred started. And since werewolves and vampires are natural enemies, it's a problem. But the Flames are there to stay. And I was thinking that both sides would have a couple of instigators, like the vampires could be bored and mess with the wolves, and vice versa.

And then the Smid thing happened. I was thinking that maybe they didn't know he was with the vamps, until a few wolves saw him with them. And before they saw him, Lida can ask Ference to change her so she'd be able to help find him (start of story), and she'd lose control when she finds out about him switching sides. And that's when Gazdic or Draisaitl come in. The whole pack will then train, fighting in wolf form, and human form, before they go confront them. And near the end of their training period, the Rangers will call, and that's when the alliance happens. So there would be some time jumps, like 2 months for Lida. And during those "2 months", both of you will have your chapters.

I still need to work on a few ideas. XD

So there's a time jump between Lida being turned/finding out about Smid and the Rangers calling up for their help?

And during the two months, they'll be training, and do you have in mind that they will be separated into two chapters, meaning you start the story, followed by me and Sam's chapters, and then back with you when the Rangers calls for an alliance? (I'm sorry this sounds very confusing.)

I would think that most of the Bruins would hate the witchest because of the curse they casted but wouldn't one of them need to be friends with a witch in order to reverse the spell? Or are the Kings the only witches?

I don't know if the Kings are the only legit witch coven around, but I would think there might be some witches out there that do not collaborate with the Kings, since there was a witch working with Callahan to help Geraldine hone her powers.

So I have an idea: so what if the Bruins have had trouble finding a witch they can trust for many, many years, and when they hear about this one witch coming to NYC to help the Rangers, they are interested in the idea, and they really really want to trust Ger even when McDonagh does not. The Rangers might still be wary of Geraldine but maybe the Bruins are a big reason why she gets to stay and help the group with their problems, hence her privilege to try to complete the mission given to her by the kings? And maybe that's one way you can tie your character to mine. Your character really wants to have a witch to trust in order to do the spell, and maybe she tries to get close to Ger in order to figure out if she can be trusted or not? Or maybe get close so she could get Gerry to do the spell? I don't know, but that can be a possible way to connect our characters.

Hi, sorry I haven't been able to reply. My laptop is getting fixed, and I'm at my parents place for the Holidays. I'll properly reply when I have my laptop back, which should be tomorrow, or the day after.

So first of all, happy Christmas Eve guys! Hope you all have a wonderful holiday!

And second, I was just thinking of this story and thought of the emissaries and what their characteristics might be. I know that they'll all be human but they kind of have nice negotiation skills and follow this code of conduct or whatever rulebook that they have to study, learn, and memorize in order to effective represent a pack or coven. Since Smid is an emissary or was an emissary, I thought maybe we might need to talk a bit about it.

Because we pretty much got the wolves, witches, and bear shifters narrowed down.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS! Crazy
I'm not gonna lie, I totally forgot to reply back to this forum. Facepalm but unfortuntatly my laptop is still not that great. It pauses for a full minute before it starts again, which is lame. It takes a helluva lot longer to make a banner. lmfao But luckily, I'll be back at my desktop is two days!

OK, so.. what do we need to figure out about the emissaries?

Haha, that's totally fine. Sometimes I forget for a while until I pass by it in the Group Write forums and the "oh shit!" moment comes and basically I just get right on it after that. And aww best of luck to your laptop!

As for the emissaries, we don't really need much info since their role is pretty self explanatory. Is there anything in particular you guys want to add to it?

I know we have to discuss Sam's character and the bear pack + integration into plot. Is there anything else we need to cover? (I know there's plenty like story title, layout, etc.)

Honestly.. I just wanna throw my laptop outside and into the snow. mrgun

And... not really. I don't think we'd be mentioning emissaries much aside from the pack meetings, and the background of Smid. AND I DON'T KNOW WHO IS GOING TO BE REPLACING HIM FOR THE OILERS EMISSARY. lmao, should it be a random OC, or relative? Maybe one of the children of the wolves, some are born a werewolf and most humans? I'm gonna make some of the wolves older, like even though they look late/early 20s, 30s, some of them could be like 70 years old. Slow aging and all. So their kids would be the same age as our OCs.

And for the Flames, since the Oilers were the first team/pack to be in Alberta, the territory belongs to them, but the coven made home and it causes problems for the pack. Just like an irritating itch with them being so close. And maybe the vampires won't leave for a reason, pride? think they're the better species than the 'dogs' so they stay just to spite them? Or.. something is making them stay. Kind of like TVD, how they had the moonstone, it could be something like that, like maybe one of the vampires have a soul mate that has a habit of dying at an early age and is reincarnated in the next 10 years, and she could be in the pack's family?, a human child? I don't know. lmfao would that be too much? Or what do you think?

... i'll get back to you on the last bit. Think

I actually really like the soul mate idea! Reincarnation is literally my favorite thing ever. Like we're doing a supernatural story so why the hell not? We are not utilizing the supernatural story fully until reincarnation is involved! Yes, I would love it if you decide to go with that! Also, maybe the recent conflict between Calgary and Edmonton could be triggered by this issue, or basically be fought over it? Like maybe the vamp (who has a soulmate in Edmonton) has this notion that the Oiler wolves stole his love and the Oilers are like "WTF stay away from my daughter, you creep!" IDK...

OOh, yeah that's what I've been wondering too, the whole age thing. I mean as for the Rangers pack, I know for me, I'd want Kreider to be a younger wolf because I've kind of been developing their backstory in my mind. It's like when he just joined the pack, he feels like a misfit (and he was a bit geeky and awkward) and since G always felt like a misfit (throughout her entire life), she relates to him and kind of reaches out to him?

And yeah, maybe just have another OC replace him for the emissary spot? I think I'll even have an OC replace Gerry as the Rangers emissary. And to what extent would the older wolves' kids play in the story?

Also, have you decided who Lida's love interest will be?

Yes. It took me a long ass time to decide, but... I choose Luke Gazdic. Simply because he's scary on the ice, but off the ice he's a big softie. So he'll be a dominate wolf, but will def be a doting mate. In Love

OK, so we figured out Edmonton vs. Calgary! I'm so glad that you like the idea of the reincarnation! I have no idea whose daughter though, haha. Maybe she'll be the one to stay alive longer than previous loves. Should she have a mate? Or would that cause more problems?... unless we kill the vampire. lmfao

Hmm... maybe it won't be an OC. Since the Oilers got rid of Eakins (ex coach), maybe Todd Nelson will be the new emissary. tehe It'll work out.

I'll probably have to write out a list of the players will be ages for the Oilers. Think

yooo we should totally kill the vampire! We NEED deaths! And that vamp sounds like he's gotta die!

And maybe we should have a list of the majority of our respective team rosters with their "ages"?
Also, as for the Rangers pack, maybe I'll have one of the newbies replace G as emissary, like JT Miller or someone...

And uhhh, I really suck at story titles, should it be like supernatural related?

Hahaha, definitely. Omg... we might have to kill off a few wolves too. Don Because it has "war", and shit.

Yeah, we should make remake our teams roster. tehe From dominate to submissive? I mean, I highly doubt we'll mention each player, but it couldn't hurt. I'm horrible at story titles too! And it could be? Think It can be totally cliche, cheesy, if we can't figure out something awesome. XD

I was thinking of killing off Callahan, maybe killed my someone on the Kings protecting Ger after she did something stupid? And that shit will destroy her, kind of shake her up before she comes back from it and kicks ass?

And yeah I think that'll be cool. So we're going with current roster right? And I heard that Edmonton traded Perron to Pittsburgh, so I was wondering if he's start part of the oilers pack in this story?

As for title, grrr, it's so damn hard. I literally have nothing yet, but if I think of something, I'll let you guys know ASAP.

NO DON'T TALK ABOUT PERRON, I'M STILL UPSET ABOUT IT.
ugh, he was my favorite player on the Oilers, I even got his jersey Cry But I'm really happy for him for being on a team who can make it to the playoffs. Sigh.

I don't know about deaths yet, I'll figure it out. O was planning on keeping Perron in the pack. XD

lmao same, we don't hvae to make one up right now. XD

SHIT! I'm sorry! I mean, it is not easy losing your favorite on the team (I know how you feel - esp when Cally went to Tampa Bay).
And sorry for mentioning it :(

But yeah, supernatural stories are the worst when coming up with a title!
