Hahaha, it's alright. Ugh. I was expecting the trade tbh, there was rumors around November? .. so, it was bound to happen. I hate trades so much. We traded another one, Mark Arcobello to the Preds for Derek Roy... but so far I like Roy, he's def proving himself. Arco was a goal scorer too, so it's pretty even between them both. I don't know how I'll do that, maybe I can keep Arco? I'll figure it out!

I'm sure we'll figure it out! I think I'll listen to supernatural playlists on 8tracks, and see if any words pop out. OMG.

This new Halestorm song came out today and its called "Apocalyptic" and there's this like where she's like "love me apocalyptic" and I love that so much, but idk if it's appropriate for this story. But yeah, that's all I got as of right now.

And depending on the storyline, because I remember you mentioning that Lida and the rest of the Oilers spent a few months training (after Smid was taken and she was turned into a wolf). So maybe you should start, because Lida's transformation is a few months before Geraldine being sent off to NYC and I think that's where I want to start her storyline. So plotwise, maybe it'll make more sense if I go second and you go first?

Oh damn, sometimes the trades are hard. It sucks when you grow so attached to most of these dudes and they are just ripped out of your heart. And currently there's some trade rumors going around in NYR as well and I'm terrified because we're doing pretty well as of lately and a lot of the people in the trade rumors have been a big part of that. But I'm glad you're liking Roy. And yeah keep Arco! keep whoever you want! :D

OK, these are my title suggestions. I was looking up words related to werewolves, witches, and vampires and I couldn't really put much together. ANYWAYS! The story is kind of about power, eh? because of all the fights, and stuff.

Alright, that works! I kind of have an idea on how I'll start it, I just hope I can pull it off!

OMG, I know. I always get so attached to the players, it sucks. Even when they aren't doing so well, I always get sad when they get traded because I love them so much. My sister and I always pout, while the rest of our family is all, "Good!"

Also, for the Vampires, rather than take from TVD, should we have them drink a potion which lets them out into the sun, than have a ring or some sort of jewelry? And so they have a few witch allies?

Okay, my absolute favorite is Clash of Claws. I think that should totally be our title, even though it doesn't apply to the witches. But mainly because both wolves and bears have claws and IDK, it's literally the best thing ever! I also like Ashes to Ashes and Dead Moon.

Oooh! I like that! So we can totally stick with that! I know exactly how I want my first chapter to go, and it'll be a little light (some bantering here and there and plate throwing), but also gets the message across.

Haha, it's the same damn thing with my dad. Sometimes I get overly attached to a player who gets traded and they've been playing shitty or the trade is a good one that REALLY benefits the team, my dad is all for it. IDK he doesn't get emotional attachments like I do lol.

That'd be cool! I like the idea of the potion, because it doesn't feel like it's robbing ideas from TVD (favorite show ever, but still). And it makes our supernatural verse more special and interesting.

Yeah, I'm gonna try and start it off with her in pain from the vicious attack, and her saying that it was what she wanted.

LIKE FOR DEVAN DUBNYK, omg, my sister and I got attached to him, and my cousin was like, "THANK GOD." ... I mean, he was doing pretty good with Arizona, we just have crap coaches. Hopefully he does good with Wild too! (omg, should they be bears too, but not actually werewolves!?)

I'm gonna make points for Mates, and how it works in my mind. And we'll mix it around to fit our story.

MatesSteps to Mating:

• 1. Acceptance.
  2. Bite
  3. Consummate (the she-wolves will bite him in return during this act)
• once completed both parties will be able to talk to each other through mind link, and feel what the other is feeling.
  -- the mind-link will be 'on mute' if in different cities/towns, but they can still feel what the other is feeling.
• If two out of three are completed, they won't have a full connection. They can feel what the other is feeling, but no thoughts.

I really like that! Especially with the mates part because I've been meaning to ask you about that! And like, I was thinking maybe Kreider was unstable or a bit shaken up when Ger left so that's why he attacked Price in the woods lol. It isn't total instability because she only left and isn't dead, and that's when he found out that she is his mate and he didn't exactly know that before.

And to what extent is the telepathic link going to be?

Oooh! Wolf-Babies. Are there going to be any particular ones in the story?

I like that! It'll be a great way to open the story and to introduce this storyline to the readers! I love it! Especially with the reminder that despite all this pain, it is what she wants and she has signed up for it knowing what she committed herself to.

And nice! It's like you just want to wish them well even if they are no longer on your team!

OK, glad you're OK with the mates thing.

I like that! It totally works with the whole attack on Carey.

And I was thinking... it'll cut off when they're in a different city/town? But they still have the link there, it's just... on mute? Like say.. if they got kidnapped or something, (LOL, because Lida), Gazie will know if she's getting tortured/is hurt. But I think it'll only be that strong once they've completed the mating process. Which... I don't know how that'll be.

- acceptance (they can reject, but no wolf wants to go through that pain)
- bite on the shoulder with their.. er, saliva?

- and... er... idk what else

And the human mates/witches will not know about them being a mate of someone unless they've been told, though they themselves will feel a strong connection with the male wolf. And the she-wolves will know, because they're wolves.

well... I didn't really think of it other than for Gazdic training them how to fight. Like I can totally see Gaz teaching a kindergarten class, and so him training pups will be a total for Lida.

Yes, so you don't get the full link unless the mating process is complete. So would Gazdic and Lida be linked before she is kidnapped by the Kings? (It's towards and nearing the end right?) So i assume the process would be completed between them by then?

Haha yesss consummate! That's kinda cool because I thought of something really stupid, almost comic relief-ish. For my storyline that is lol... it's like Kreider didn't tell G that she was his mate and she's never really thought much about it (maybe she's not knowledgeable about it because Callahan didn't feel comfortable discussing the whole mating thing with her so that's one thing she doesn't know about wolves), and like maybe this one time she wants to seduce him or things get heated between them and he's like "whoa, wait, I wanna have sex but I can't because there's this whole mating shit I never told you about" and G's like "bro, you have no chill, what's your deal?" basically she's trying to get with him and he's clumsily trying to get out of it. Then eventually he tells her and blah blah blah....

And uh... what if it's like a bite in a particular place on the body? Or a witch or someone has to brew a potion for both parties to drink, and then the wolf bites the non-wolf? And then instead of transformation, it's the mating process? What if that's a riskier method and not the preferable one, especially if they do not trust witches? Usually, they would stick with different methods to complete the mating link?

Awww OMG that is totally adorable! I love it!!!!!!! And it's kinda badass, training others how to fight!

They have to be connected to feel the full force of the connection. LOL, omg, are you going to be going with that? That's great, we're definitely gonna need some comedy in this story, so far all we have is power, death, and war. Oh jeez, now I can't wait to read that part, hahaha.

OK, I'm just going off with your idea... maybe that could be for non-wolves, because I was thinking that with she-wolves during the mating she'll bite him on the shoulder in return, and then BAM, full force of each others emotions, and shit. And the bite on the shoulder is to show that they are already taken, and mated to another. So, for humans, they could have a bite mark wherever, I'm not sure if you would want Ger to be fully connected to Kreider or not, with their thoughts and all. So... you can make it up for witches. And I don't know if humans would want to become a wolf or not, maybe they will because wolves are slow aging, maybe if they don't want to there can be a potion for the wolves to take so they age like normal humans do.

... did I just repeat what you said? Haaha, oops. Maybe witches can make potions to be immortal? And she can do that when shhe finds out about being a mate

I mean I'm not funny in any way, but yeah, I think there are going to be moments where these two act like absolute dorks. Ger is kind of intense and serious, but Kreider is like a freaking goofball so she does manage to loosen up, and spending time with the Rangers has helped her with it, so yeah there's going to be really silly interactions between them. But at the same time, there's going to be a lot of serious conversations.

I like that! If both parties are wolves, then they just bite each other on the shoulder. I also love the "mark" idea. Because wolves usually are possessive of what is theirs because it is in their nature, and that's a good way to reflect that! IDK if I want Ger and Kreids to be completely linked by the end, but I know that she's going to spend a while thinking about it, because she still doesn't completely trust wolves, and even if maybe at this point, she has feelings for him, she isn't ready for that and is scared he would use it to his own advantage/scared he would find out about the Kings plot.

For witches, i was thinking either they'd go with the potion or they just "consummate" but maybe the consummate thing isn't as strong as the bite? Because I intend to have Ger and Kreids get it on *wink wink* but I don't want him to find out about the Kings plot until later on. So I don't know what I'm gonna do about that... I'll figure it out.

So for Lida and Gazdic, they're going to bite each other when they feel like they're going with the linking? And how are interactions between them going to be like?

The way Lida is, I think that Luke would just be enamored by her, probably keep her in a plastic ball to the point she freaks out. I think Gazdic will bite her way before they mate, and then during she will bite him in return, kind of... instinctive?

Okay, so... either way would work. If they consummate, but no bite then it'll still won't be a full connection, and if they bite but don't consummate it'll be the same. So if she doesn't want the bite, then they wouldn't know each others thoughts and shit, maybe just have a inking of what each other feels though. Does that make sense? OH, maybe after he tells her all about the bite and stuff, she could make a potion to have a 'bad reaction' to the bite, and that could convince him that she can't have it. And it could be a 'witch thing'. What do you think?

OOOHHH That sounds cool! So he's overly protective of her and she gets a little fed up with that shit? So their "connection" will be more instinctive? I like the sound of that!

And I really like that idea! With Ger being a manipulative bitch and all, despite her "feelings" for him.

Hey so Angela's just getting the hang of group write forums and threads, and while she's working on that, I just want to update you on what we've talked about so far.

Her character is going to be the emissary for the Chicago Blackhawks (wolves.) And what I had in mind was that maybe that's how we can tie the character into our storyline, like maybe Ger knew her during her time as the Ranger's emissary.

Heeey! That's perfect, because Blackhawks are one of the Original 6! So during the alternation of the book they can meet? Hm.. sincce I love the idea of Boston, we can make it so it's like a "vacation" place where they can do magic freely, or run free as wolves anywhere, etc.

Is her OC gonna be human? And eventual wolf?

Hi! Sorry I'm late to the party ;) I'm Angela. I have no idea why I never scrolled down far enough to read that I could comment.. -_- haha, but anyways! I did have an interest of my character being human and then maybe JUST maybe becoming a wolf. Because that's super cool. I also really like the idea of my character having met the used to be Rangers emissary, because plot twist. I'll have to play around today with whatever ideas I can think of so I can start catching up.

And for the title, I realllyyy like Dead Moon :)

OK, well if you don't want your character to become a wolf, the love interest can take a potion to make his slow-aging perk become normal as regular humans. BTW, who are you going to take? Just so I can edit the first couple of posts of this thread.

That's such a tough decision D: I'm really feeling Jonny Toews but I'm getting these Kaner feels as of lately and it's like wow.. why would anyone ever have to choose between them. But I'll probably go Jonathan Toews, just because Jonny would fit with my character better.
