My Six Word Love Story

Zacky smiled and took the phone from her hand, watching the video. He glanced at her halfway through and shook his head in amazement. "Damn, you're good," he chuckled. "I wish I could play shit like this." He looked back at the video and continued to watch it. When it ended, he handed it back to her. "So, did you go to school for music?" he asked curiously.

Ally stared at her phone for a while, debating on what to do with it. On one hand, she wanted to call or text Brian, to make sure he was okay. On the other hand, she wanted to call Brent, invite him over, and seduce him, just to dig the knife a little deeper. She wanted Brian to want her so badly, but she knew after she told him about Michelle, it was all over. She'd lost her chances. So she grabbed her phone and called Brent anyways.

Artemis shook her head. "The only think I took lessons for was voice and piano everything else I play has been self taught," she answered. "I actually play some instruments I don't even showcase in my videos like bass guitar, guitar and drums. I'm my own one woman band."

Brent looked at his phone shocked to see Ally was calling him. He wondered if something happened to his brother and quickly answered it. "Is Brian okay," he asked. "Or are you actually calling to talk to me for once," he joked.

Zacky smiled at her. "Have you ever thought of going to school for that?" he asked. "Like Julliard or something? You could probably get in on a scholarship and you could go very far with that, you know. Places would be lucky to have you as a student, or as part of a band or whatever."

Ally smiled slightly when she heard Brent's voice, reaching up and quickly wiping her nose. "I was actually wondering if you could come over," she murmured. "I don't want to be alone. And I need someone to talk to. Brian isn't an option." She didn't want to tell him over the phone. She wanted him to come over before she told him what happened.

"There aren't any schools here in California so that's out of the question for me and honestly I've never found people I get along with enough that I could be in a cramped van for months at a time touring," Artemis replied. "Plus adding deadlines to my music and adding the gossip columns and that kind of stuff would probably get my anxiety going really bad."

Brent frowned. "I'm actually kind of busy tonight Ally," he replied. "I have a girl coming over. Can this wait until tomorrow?"

"That's unfortunate," Zacky said. "Maybe you'll get discovered one day." He smiled at her, knowing now that he needed to convince Matt to choose her as the winner of their contest. She deserved it. He knew there were other amazing people out there and maybe he was a little biased right now because this girl was absolutely beautiful, but he couldn't help it.

Ally bit her lip and rolled onto her stomach, looking down at her pillow that had tear stains all over it. "I really need you, Brent," she murmured. "Can't your girl wait another night?" She was really hoping he'd agree because he was her backup when she didn't have Brian. She thought for a minute and let out a breath. "I just . . . I can't stop crying. I really need you right now."

Artemis smiled. "Maybe I will one day but until then I'll enjoy doing my videos on YouTube." She chewed on her bottom lip and took another drink of her water. "I should probably head home but it was nice meeting you Zacky."

Brent groaned out in annoyance. "What did my brother do this time," he asked. "And don't say you can't tell me over the phone because of you can't I'm sticking with the girl. I haven't had sex in months."

Zacky smiled softy at her. "Of course," he nodded. "I'll have to check out more of your videos." He was glad he'd decided to come out here and meet her in person. Now he had a good idea of who she was and he could easily persuade Matt into picking her as their contest winner.

"It's not his fault," Ally said. "It's mine. He pissed me off so I told him Michelle didn't love him, and I hurt him really bad. I feel terrible enough, you don't have to tell me how wrong I was because I already know." She looked down at her hands and chewed gently on her lip.

Artemis grinned. "I hope I can bump into you again," she admitted. The redhead mumbled a short goodbye, waving as she left and drive home, grinning the entire time as she did.

Brent groaned out in annoyance. "Fucking christ Ally," he mumbled. "You and my brother act like children and I'm sick of being stuck in between it all the time. Don't call me back for the rest of the night." He hung up and turned off his phone, beyond annoyed that Brian and Ally couldn't just shut up and have have sex already.

Zacky smiled to himself. Oh, she would definitely bump into him again. He stood up and threw his trash away before he walked back to his car and drove home. He immediately sent Matt a text when he got inside, telling him that he was sure he knew who the winner of the contest was.

Ally frowned deeply and she huffed, throwing her phone on the floor before she buried her face into her pillow and groaned. She didn't know what to do. She knew Brian wouldn't answered if she called, and she didn't want to see him face to face right now. She looked over at her phone and sighed, picking it up and texting Brian. I'm sorry, Bri.

Artemis smiled as she drove, happy that she had met Zacky. He was just as sweet as she thought he would be.

Brian looked up at his phone, frowning when he saw a text from Ally. He really the text and decided to answer it. Its too late to say sorry Ally.

Zacky got home and called Matt up, telling him that they would meet tomorrow morning to discuss the winner. After that, he went to bed, excited about tomorrow.

Ally looked at the text and frowned deeply, turning her phone off and then pulled the covers over her head, forcing herself to sleep throughout the night.

Artemis slept in later than usual, getting a text from her friend to go on Avenged Sevenfold's YouTube and to make sure to record her response when she did. She set up her equipment for recording, setting it up so you could see her face and hear her laptop, her eyes beginning to water as tears of joy fell down her face when she was announced as the winner of the Hail to the King cover contest. She looked at her camera, smiling through her tears and sniffled. "I know I look ugly right now but I'm so glad you told me to record my reaction Becca. I'm so grateful I won. Thank you so much Avenged Sevenfold for picking me. I hope I get to hang out with you guys soon." She uploaded the video to YouTube after a little bit of editing and posted it as a reaction video to the contest winner video.

Brian passed back out in his bed, beyond miserable and wished he couldn't feel anything at all anymore.

Zacky smiled as he watched Artemis' video, glad that he could make her happy. It took some convincing to Matt, but he finally agreed. It wasn't that Matt didn't think she was great, it was that he wanted to be fair to everybody, but he trusted Zacky, so he agreed. Zacky looked over Artemis' youtube page, finding her contact information and sent an e-mail to her. He used his actual home e-mail address, not wanting it to be obvious that it was him, and he sent her a short e-mail. Congrats on winning the contest.

Ally woke up early the next morning and got dressed, going to Brian's house, and using the spare key he gave her to sneak in. She quickly shushed Pinkly and went to the kitchen to make Brian his favorite breakfast as a huge apology. She made him a big plate and a glass of orange juice, carrying them upstairs to his room and biting her lip gently. "Bri?" she murmured.

Artemis looked at her email, noticing an unfamiliar one and opened it. She saw it was about the contest and looked at the email again. She shrugged her shoulders and smiled as she replied. Thanks. It definitely makes me happy that Avenged Sevenfold thought what I did was good enough to win their contest.

Brian groaned, covering his body completely with his covers and his pillow. He didn't want to deal with anyone or anything today. He was too hungover and still extremely upset from the night before.

Zacky smiled at her e-mail. Of course you're good enough. You're amazing! I aspire to be like you someday. You know, you really are an inspiration. Those Avenged guys are lucky to have you around now.

"I have butterscotch chocolate chip pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon," Ally smiled slightly. "I know you love my pancakes, Brian." She walked over and sat the plate and glass down, sitting on the edge of the bed. She leaned down and kissed his temple, running her fingers through his hair, pushing it back out of his face.

Artemis couldn't help but blush as she read the email. She felt so shocked someone considered her an inspiration still even when her subscribers would tell her the same thing consistently. I'm sure you could be amazing at whatever you aspire to play to if you put your mind to it. Most of what I play in my videos is self taught so it was a lot of sitting down and figuring stuff out on my own.

"Go away I just want to lay in bed and die," Brian grumbled. He moved away from her and hid under his covers again, too depressed to care about food even if it was his favorite.

You taught yourself how to play all those instruments? Might I call you a musical genius?

Ally frowned deeply and she stood up, crossing her arms over her chest as she thought. She grabbed the blanket and yanked it off him, spanking him. "Get up, Brian," she ordered.

I'm not a musical genius. I'm just extremely motivated when I'm passionate about something.

Brian turned his head and glared at Ally. "Will you go the fuck away. You made your point clear last night," he hissed. "I'm a horrible person no one will love unless you talk them into dating me. Now leave."

Zacky bit his lip. Good to know you're passionate about music. Some people use it to get fame.

Ally frowned deeply. "That's not true, Brian," she said. "I love you, remember? I'll always be here." She moved into the bed next to him and sighed softly. "I didn't mean what I said last night. I was just pissed that you thought I was naive enough to get my heart broken so I said that to piss you off."

If I get famous from it that would be cool but I'm already lucky enough to have gotten a YouTube partnership because of my musical abilities so I'm extremely grateful for that.

"I don't want to feel anymore," Brian sniffled. "Emotions only cause my problems."
