Electronic and Techno

I went through all twelve pages and didn't find a thread for this, so here.

Here's a thread for everything electronic, from techno to synthpop to ambient to everything else electronic.

I like a lot of different genres, but lately I've been gravitating toward more electronic music. I like the Glitch Mob, AWOLNATION, IAMX, Massive Attack, M83, Daft Punk, Carbon Based Lifeforms, the list goes on. I also like some 80's techno. Everyone tells me I'm a dork for that.

Do you have any favorite subgenres and artists? Have you ever been told that electronic music "isn't real music?"

I was close to making this thread myself. Kudos.

I love ambient and soundtrack music a lot, as well as some house and EDM. Mostly C418, Daft Punk, Stellardrone, Carbon Based Lifeforms, and for old music, Kraftwerk, which is a German electronic band from the early 70s.

I was kind of surprised that there wasn't already one. There are like three for metal (not that metal is bad or anything, there's just usually only one topic for the same thing, as per guidelines).
