So... maybe there can be a thing made where we'd be able to send messages to our subscribers for stories, just to update them all on what's happening and stuff. Instead of deleting and re-uploading the recent chapter to use the author's notes. (I had to do that twice, and I was worried that I was annoying them with false chapter updates. Haha.)

It'd be kind of.. like how Wattpad is able to send messages to their story followers. It could appear as an alert, or email... or both.

Yay, nay? I don't know. I thought that would be pretty handy.

This would be soooo useful. But I think it should also come with an opition to turn off these alerts for certain stories in the instance that an author is spamming users with unrelated things but you don't wanna unsubscribe from the story itself.

That's a great idea! It would be a lot easier, say if your story needs to go on a temporary hiatus, and you don't wanna lose subscribers.

Definitely. I would reccommend typing up a blog or something but not everyone thinks to go to the blogs.

I know that I would use it. I love this idea. I use blogs, but not everyone reads blogs. I would definitely use it.

Best idea ever! It would be so awesome to be able to just say "Hey guys, messed up the character name - her actual name is__" instead of confusing the fuck outta them in the next chapter with a changed name. Haha. Would be excellent for Hiatus stuff as well.

I'm all for this idea because I've done this. I had to change a character's name and the name of the town/grocery store that the story took place in, but I didn't want to annoy my reader's with false chapters but I had to tell them to avoid confusion. And I hate not being able to tell my readers when things have to go on a hiatus. So I'm all for this.

I love this idea as well, mainly for the reasons that have been stated above. I've went back and edited a few chapters whilst I've been writing before and had to post a note in the new chapter's author note to let them know to go back and read because extra info had been added that you needed for that specific chapter and it just ends up really, really confusing for readers, I think. Having this feature would be absolutely spot-on.
