Crossing Boundaries

Wendy had just gotten back from a long night of hunting and feeding, she wanted to be full for her first day at a new university. She showered and changed and made her way to her first class, foundations of drawing.

Melina had been at school all morning, she was a second year art major, and the studios were always open. She was in the painting studio rocking out to music as she painted on a huge canvas. Her painting was of a wolf in the woods though she had no idea where this inspiration had come from.

Lucas sighed as he sat in Foundations of Drawing. He had his sketch book open in front of him, but he was sort of hiding the drawing he was working on from the rest of the class by sitting in the back of the class. He looked around the room as he sketched. Looking up as if checking details as he drew. When the teacher stepped in, though, he closed up his sketch book, and shoved it into his messenger bag beside his desk, before pulling out an identical one and setting It on his desk.

Luke was walking past the painting studio when he heard a song that had been stuck in his head from the night before. He smiled, and began to follow the noise into the room. He watched the girl from afar, picking up what she was painting because of his enhanced eyesight. It made him extremely nervous for some strange reason, but he held his smile and approached the girl, starting to hum the song as well, looking at the canvas.

(And I passed out xD)

Wendy slipped into the classroom just after the teacher. She went for the last seat next to an attractive guy. She hated this class and didn't want to be there, however it was essitental to making herself blend in. She pulled out her sketch book and began to doodle as the teacher drowned on. A sudden smell filled her scenes and she found herself staring at the boy next to her.

Melina jumped a bit as she had heard someone enter the studio and begin to him. "O-oh hello?" She said shyly. "Don't look at that! It's not good! I don't even know why I painted something like that!"

Luke laughed, and shook his head vigorously, smiling as he stared on at the canvas. He approached it, and said," Oh no! That looks completely fantastic, actually." He held up his hand to the canvas, but made sure not to touch it and smear the paint," The attention to detail is amazing. I love the look on the wolf's eyes." He looked over at her, then, and said," I actually came in here to compliment you on your musical taste, but this is fantastic!"

Lucas sighed as the monotone teacher talked about the most basic of strokes and shapes. He had already known all of this prior to the class, so he had just kind of drowned the teacher out with his drawings once again. This time, more basic doodles that he was drawing in his class sketchbook. After a while, his stomach had let out a small growl, and so he had taken out a small sandwich that he had hidden in his bag. It was a normal sandwich, but had cheese and roast beef in it. The roast beef, though, was very fresh, and might have even still had the smell of blood lingering around it...

Melina blushed and looked at him. "Well thank you..." She didn't know his name so she didn't want to offend him for not knowing his name. "Are you the other student in this studio this semester? Or just randomly passing by?" She asked with a shy smile.

Wendy could smell the blood a mile away, and it brought out a somewhat rage inside her. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath trying not to let it get the best of her. A few seconds later she grabbed her bag and ran out the door, leaving her sketch book behind.

Luke smiled, and said," Well, while I would love to say yes and set up to start beginning to create a magnificent collection of colors that would make you recontemplate the meaning of life as a whole- but I completely suck at art. Oh no, I'm a nerd. I'm a Biology major with a ecology concentration. So basically I'm a nature nut. Although, I LOVE the arts. Specifically when it comes to paints on campus." He then turned to her, and said," Oh! I don't think I have told you my name. I'm Luke. Nice to meet you....? I'm sorry, I don't think I caught your name either."

Lucas took a bite out of the sandwich, and then raised an eyebrow at the girl when she suddenly bolted out of the classroom. He paused for a moment as the class took in the sight of her leaving. After everyone had processed it, and the class had began to pick up once again, he took the last bite of his sandwich. He had been engulfing it during the distraction. He then cast a glance over to the girl's desk, and noticed her sketchbook on the floor. He looked around, and then picked it up, before quickly tucking it into his bag as the class was wrapping up. He then took off out of the door as well, looking around for the escaping girl...

Melina smiled at him. "Biology...Nice!" She said quietly and then looked up at him. "I'm Melina, nice to meet you Luke." She said and then changed the song on her iHome. "I usually don't paint stuff like this, but I keep having random images of wolves, so why not paint them?"

Wendy had mad her way outside, she took a seat on the edge of a bench and took a couple of deep breaths. Lately it was getting harder for her to control herself. Times like this she wished she would have just died the night she was changed and saved. She chewed on her bottom lip as she saw the boy with the sandwich walk out of the classroom.

Luke felt a pit in his stomach, and his eyes widened as he made a realization. The eye color... The fur color.... He quickly put the look off of his face, though, and replaced the look on his face with a smile once more. "Well, that sounds like a wonderful idea to me! I love wolves personally. Anyway, Melina, do you mind if I sit in here and work on some lab work? I figure that it'll be a lot less stiffening than those labs they have here on campus."

Lucas slipped the book into his bag before walking around a bit, looking for the girl. It took him a little bit, but he finally spotted the girl. He approached her, and waved to her. He walked up, and said," You're the one that was sitting next to me in the class just now, right? Are you okay? Cuz you ran out of there pretty damn fast." He paused, then, and then said," Oh! And you left this behind." He then dug into his bag blindly, and pulled out the standard covered sketchbook. He handed it to her, and said," Don't worry, I didn't look in it at all..."

Little did he know, though, that he had accidentally pulled out his secret sketchbook and was handing that to her, rather than her own book.

Melina shrugged. "I don't really mind, I'm here all day Monday and Wednesday...Perks of being an art student." She said with a light laugh. She took the canvas of the wolf off the easel and set it on a table near the window to dry, she paused to look at it, tilting her head. "It's kinda funny...That wolf looks...Gentle?" She said examinging it further. "Like it looks like it wouldn't really hurt anyone. I just had this strange dream of this wolf...for almost a straight week...Isn't that odd?"

Wendy took the book from him, inhaling sharply. "Thank you...I'm fine...Just needed some air..." She said and met eyes with him quickly. "I ran track in high school..." She said more like a question than an answer. "I'm guessing I didn't miss anything important...Seeing as we draw the same damn still life day after day..." She threw the sketch book in her bag and looked up at him waiting for his answer about their class.
