Waiting for Superman

Bucky walked around the city with a hood over his head as he thought about the situation at hand. What if one day he would do the worst and lay a hand on his wife. He shook his head, he didn't want to be that kind of man he didn't want to hurt his family. He loved them, he didn't know what to do, Bucky thought about calling Steve and ask for his help but he was busy with his girlfriend. He paced around before actually calling someone, hey... I need some help, I just.. Well, I'll explain later can you get out? Bucky had been out for a couple of hours and still hadn't cleared his head.

Iris nodded, "I know, I told myself I would put up with whatever so long as o could get pregnant so really, I shouldn't be complaining." Iris smiled, "you make the best sundaes in the city, so good.. It's well balanced too not too much of anything ."

Annie was tempted to call her husband. She had a feeling that he wouldn't answer his phone if she did though. She was getting more and more worried with each passing hour. She didn't know what kind of a mindset he was in right now. What if he did something rash? She hoped that he wouldn't. Sighing softly, she took a seat and waited, hoping that he would come home soon.

Steve smiled, kissing her head. "Yeah, stop whining." He said, his tone light and teasing. "The best in the city, huh? I'm not so sure about that." He chuckled softly. His phone went off a few moments later. He looked at it, eyebrows furrowing as he read the text from his friend. I can be there in five minutes...where are you? He looked to his girlfriend. "Bucky needs my help with something...I'll be back soon, okay? If you need anything just call me."

Bucky sighed as he paced around trying to figure out what to do, he couldn't call his wife. Not yet. im sitting by the park where you take your run every morning. Bucky pulled on his hair in frustration why would he do that to his wife. He sighed shaking his head, maybe he wasn't fit to be a family man, but he couldn't possibly just leave her.

Iris pouted, "why are you being mean? What did I ever do to you?" She yawned softly, "why can't you just take my compliments? " she teased. Iris looked up "yeah, all right but if I text you with a list of food you better bring everything on there" she chuckled.

[Gonna skip Annie for a bit ]

Steve chuckled softly. "I'm not being mean." He said. "I'm a modest person, you know that." He kissed her head before standing up. "Yes, ma'am." He chuckled once more. Alright, I'll be there soon. He slipped on his shoes before heading out. It didn't take him long to reach the park and he spotted his friend sitting on one of the benches. He could tell something was wrong straightaway. "What's going on? You never admit that you need my help."

Bucky didn't think he would ever do something like that, he looked up when he noticed Steve walking over. "I never need your help, I can handle myself you know," he sighed. "I um.. I got well. Violent today. I didn't mean to it just happened. I crushed a glass bowl and hit a wall while I was talking to Annie about that job offer. I feel horrible. I've never done anything like that. What if he's coming bacK? I don't know what to do.. I don't want to hurt them."

Steve would have continued on ragging on his friend, but he could tell that now wasn't the right time for that. He took a seat next to him on the bench. He frowned slightly as he listened to Bucky explain what had happened. "You've known her for two years now, Buck, and you've never hurt her before." He told his friend. He just didn't think that it was likely. "Okay, you lost your cool today, but you didn't hurt her, did you? I don't think you have it in you, whether you're or...him. Hydra ordered you to kill her once before, she was your mission, and you knew that it wasn't right. Even when you didn't remember who she was."

Bucky sighed softly, "yes, Steve I know but I just sometimes I think I might go to far. You should have seen her. She was afraid. She was afraid of me hurting her" he rubbed his temples. "I know there's a small chance that I might put my hands in Annie but what if I do.. I don't think I could forgive myself."

Steve frowned. He could tell that this was something that his friend was genuinely afraid would happen. "I think, even if he did come back, you'd pull through before you did anything that would hurt her." He told Bucky. "Even when you didn't remember her, there was a part of you that knew just how important she was to you. Does she know that you're afraid of doing this?"

Bucky knew Steve was right, when was he not? He sighed softly and nodded, "yes, I guess you're right. I don't have it in me to hurt Annie I don't think I ever had or will." He shook his head, "I was going to talk about my reoccurring nightmares but then the job thing came up and I lost my cool and.. I'm here now talking to you"

"Exactly, so you shouldn't worry about doing that, Buck." Steve told his friend. He just didn't think that Bucky had it in him to hurt Annie. He never had, and Steve didn't think that he ever would. "You should tell her about them...she needs to know. Then you two can talk things out."

Bucky sighed and nodded, "Let me ask you.. Do you think I should take this job or just.. Find something else? I mean there's not much else I'm good at.. I don't want to go back into the army it'd be the same thing all over again. It's not required now.. I just I don't know what to do. "

"That's not really my call, Buck..." Steve told his friend. "You should be talking this over with your wife. If I can guess, she didn't take the news well, did she? Try and see things how she is right now. She's your wife and she loves you. You two just became parents. She's worried that she'll lose you. And it probably doesn't help that she knows that the only reason Clint had a family was because no one knew about them. She's worried about your well-being and your family's." That's what he was guessing anyway. "Maybe set some ground rules with Coulson? You could just help out on certain missions...or maybe this isn't something you should do at all...what if you helped out Sam down at the VA? He gets through to the people there because he can speak from experience, so can you."

Bucky sighed, clearly still frustrated by everything, "well, I can't stay like this now can I?" He crossed his arms. Sometimes he thought that this was all a bad idea, being a parent and being married. He would just worry his wife too often. He'd have to talk to Clint and see how he does it, who had more experience than he does? No one even knew he had a family. "I'll figure it out on my own.. Thanks for your input anyway. If you see her tell her I'll be home later," with that he walked off the other direction. He was just so angry and he needed to get this out of his system, Bucky thought his friend might get through to him. Honestly, he might have made it worae. Bucky didn't want to go home just yet.

Steve frowned. He could tell that his friend was still frustrated and worried about all of this. He didn't blame him either. He nodded. "Alright...I will. See you around." He watched his friend walk off before standing up and heading back towards the apartment. He hoped that Annie and Bucky talked things over and worked things out.

Bucky was out for the whole day just walking all over the city trying to figure out what to do and noticed he had missed calls. It was hard for him to go back after what he had done and he just needed to be out for awhile.

Iris had woken up after a couple of hours of sleep, "hey.. Where have you been?" She asked yawning. "Annie called asking for Bucky I mean j haven't seen him have you?"

It got to the point where Annie was just worried sick. She tried calling her husband a couple of times, no answer. So she left him a message. "Hey...it's me...I've called a couple of times...I'm starting to get worried. Please come home...we can talk about this...okay. I love you, bye." She hung up, sighing softly. She'd tried calling Iris, but she hadn't seen or heard from Bucky either. She was really worried.

"I was with Bucky." Steve told his girlfriend. He frowned when she told him that Annie had called. "He lost his cool this morning...he didn't hurt her or anything, but he's worried that he will. Annie must be worried sick..." He hoped that his friend went home soon.

Iris frowned, "we should go over and keep her company, tell her that Bucky's okay.." She got up and slipped on her shoes, "let's go.. I am not leaving her alone." She wobbled to her friends' apartment and knocked on the door, she hugged Annie. "Steve told me what happened are you okay? I mean other than being worried.. Steve tell her" she wobbled to the sofa and sat down.

As the hours passed by Bucky sat at a park just thinking over everything he listened to his wife's messages. She was worried he could tell by her voice, he felt awful about that too, dont worry about me, I'm fine. I promise I'll be home soon, I just I'm trying to get out my aggression. I don't want to hurt you.

Annie didn't understand why her husband was staying away for as long as he was. And he wasn't answering her calls or text messages, so she was even more worried now. She didn't know where he was or what he was doing. She grabbed her phone the second it went off. She frowned as she read over the text. I'm going to worry about you whether you want me to or not...you're not going to hurt me...I know that you won't. Please just come home. She sighed softly, setting her phone down and stood when she heard the knock at the door. Walking over, she opened it and hugged Iris back. "Yeah, I'm fine...just really worried. Tell me what?"

Steve knew that his girlfriend was right. He walked across the hall with his girlfriend. "I talked to Bucky earlier today...he's just afraid, Annie. He's worried that the soldier's coming back. He doesn't want to hurt you or the babies." He told his friend's wife, taking a seat on the couch with his girlfriend.

Bucky read over the text and sighed softly as he stood up and thought over everything. He started walking back home, maybe they were right, he wasn't going to hurt them. So where did his behavior come from earlier? He walked back home. It was late in the afternoon and he wondered if he should go in or not.

Iris looked over at her boyfriend and nodded, "I'm sure he'll come back once he realuzes he's not a threat to you or he babies."she rubbed her belly. She wondered why he hadn't come back yet.
