I know that there are so many meanings with everything in the Bible. Sometimes things can even get mistranslated during the translation process, so some verses seem out of God's character, but that is what this thread is for:

God lovers who want to break down the Bible and discuss it's deeper meaning.

What I found in Genesis 6:2 is "That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose". And my Bible has a commentary about a ton of passages in the Bible. The commentary for this verse says that the phrase "sons of God" refers to the fallen angels whom banned with Lucifer to try and taint those wives' bloodline by mating with them so Jesus could be prevented from being born out of a virgin's womb. I never thought about how cunning Lucifer and his minions have tried to be throughout the Bible. This was truly interesting.

"and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. 24And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them."

    2 Kings 2:23

Always liked this one. Mr. Green

The very last verse of the gospel of John stirs me up.

John 21:25 "Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written."

This both intrigues and frustrates me to no end. It makes me deeply desire to know everything that Jesus did, and frustrates me that I cannot because not all of it was documented. It also made me realize just how much we do not know, how much of history has been lost for various reasons, and how sad that truly is.

I was brought up with a trinitarian sort of belief: that Jesus Christ is God's son, God Almighty is the Father, and the Holy Spirit is a spirit that is felt. They are all separate. However, I've been recently listening in to "United Pentecostal Church" doctrines, and they are making a lot of sense.
They claim that God descended to the earth and took the form of a human being, hence Jesus Christ.

Here are the verses that prove that Jesus Christ is God in human form (I will use the King James version of the bible because it is considered the most original translation):

Please note that the text in red means that it's Jesus Christ speaking.

"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."—1 Timothy 3:16

    "I and my Father are one."—John 10:30

"And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:"—John 20:26-30

You might be wondering: what in the world just happened here? This is what happened. Jesus and Thomas were talking privately, and Jesus basically asked Thomas to touch the side of his body. Thomas was very shocked when he touched Jesus' side, and referred to Jesus as "My Lord and My God", because he has witnessed Jesus in his God form. Jesus then proceeds to say that Thomas has "seen" him.

"Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God."—Isaiah 44:6

This one is a short verse from the old testament, and God is referring to himself as "the first and the last". It is clearly stated that there is no other God other than Him. Now, let's look at what Jesus also said in the last book of the bible (Revelation).

"And when I saw him [Jesus], I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last':"—Revelation 1:17

Jesus also referred to himself as "the first and the last". Wow!

That's all for now, but I'll add more. God bless, everyone.

I attended bible study, day care, and church at the school my sister was enrolled in up until age 6 - it was a Baptist church, but my father was Catholic and the beliefs of my family vary greatly so I really just think I'm agnostic with a love for things with meaningful words.
❝ I am like an olive tree, thriving in the house of my father.
I will always trust in God's unfailing love. ❞

    — Psalm 52:8

❝ In the multitudes of anxiety within me
your comforts delight my soul. ❞

    — Psalm 94:19

❝ Now faith is confidence in what we hope for
and confidence in what we do not see. ❞

    — Hebrews 11:1

❝ Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation.
will be able to separate us from the love of God that is Jesus Christ our lord. ❞

    — Romans 8:39

    ❝ Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. ❞

    — Romans 8:39

❝ Behold, the hand of the one betraying me
is with mine on the table. ❞

    — Luke 22:21

❝ Nor thieves nor the greedy,
    nor drunkards nor slanderers
will inherit the kingdom of God. ❞
