Faye grinned at Mariah and took the container of cookie dough, "Thank you," she said softly as she opened it and took her first bite, sighing at the taste, "Ah. That's better." She patted the stool next to her for Mariah.

Edna bit her lip, considering, before nodding, "If hyou have any plain chocolate or vanilla that would be great. If not, no big deal." She stood as Angel went off to Adam, now not knowing what to do

Tony
Tony bit her tongue, literally, and stepped back to stand at Mark's side. She hated how close minded this man was... but she didn't say anything, just waited for Mark and Abigail to convince Peter to allow Mark his time with Adam... and sure, she loved that boy and wanted more time wth him, but she also knew that Adam needed Mark to teach him control.

Mark
It took some doing, but eventually Peter was forced to back down, thought he wasn’t happy about it. Mark was even able to calm Abigail down on the Angel issue. He slipped an arm around Tony’s waist, grateful for her help and understanding how difficult it was for her to hold her tongue. In just the short time that they’d been together he’d come to learn that Tony was a person who always spoke her mind. And he was happy to let her do so, she was a good person to have at his back. Except with men like Peter. He hated people like this man. Sexist, conservative, with an obvious military background, judging by the way he carried himself and loved giving orders, Peter was close minded and liked being in charge.

“Now that that’s all settled,” Mark said, breathing a silent sigh of relief, “let’s go get Adam.”

Victoria
She followed him into the pratice hall with a little smile on her lips. Already today was going better than she had expected. When Victoria woke this morning she had been concerned that he would still be upset about the day before. Though that did not seem to be the case. Maybe it was not even something that they would have to talk about. Well no matter if they did. Matt clearly was not angry at her about it.
Once fully in the room, Victoria took out her guitar, tuned it and then laid it back down. The nice thing about coming early was that there was no need to rush.

Kyra
Staying close to Maddock, Kyra followed him to who she assumed to be one of his brother. She listened to what he had to say before following him again to get the kittens set up. Well she was hoping that there would be a way to calm all of them down. Though from how everyone was reacting Kyra was unsure if this was normal for them or not. Either way Maddock seemed to be rather annoyed with it all. "I am sure that everything will calm down soon." Kyra whispered to him with a little smile. Surely things were not going to be that bad.

Ben
"Thank goodness I have the scary little sister to watch over me then." Ben said with a large grin. He had no doubt that he was safe there and with Murel - despite what her siblings said. Sure he could see how her temper may be a bit frightening at times but he was beginning to think that they were over exaggerating a bit. Though he supposed that was normal with how siblings were.
Ben continued on, not having too many problems getting to the mansion. Luckily he was rather good at directions.

(Good thing I just got on then. XD)

Matt
They hadn’t been there long when the others trickled in, one by one. They all looked a bit nervous, glancing between the two of them. Eventually Grant stepped forward, the spokesman of the group.
“So, are you two fighting again?” He asked warily.
Matt shook his head. “Nah, everything’s cleared up. There was a bit of a misunderstanding between Azana and I, and Victoria got caught up in it, but everything’s good now. Let’s practice, guys, we got a show tonight!”

Maddock
“Eh, it’s family,” Maddock said with a shrug. He led her to another room away from everyone else and out of the way, but still close to the action, where he quickly set up the playpen and released the kittens inside. “Lots of changes recently. Little kid’s my nephew, Mark only just got custody this week, stepdad’s obviously pissed.” He didn’t know the man, so he couldn’t say much. After making sure they were taken care of, Maddock led her to the kitchen so she could set down the pie. Everyone was eating ice cream. He glanced at the food with a dubious eye. “Mark didn’t make this.”

Murel
Murel hopped out of the vehicle, noticing a group of people disappearing into the house. Looking around she saw Maddock’s truck and a minivan she didn’t recognize. Max was still working and wouldn’t be there for another half hour or so, so who? “Come on!” She said, grabbing Ben’s hand and hauling him towards the door. “I have to punch Mariah in the face!”

Victoria
Victoria looked over at the others, giving them a sweet little smile. They had been concerned and of course they had a right to be. Last night did not go so well and her and Matt had not been on the best of terms for a while. But now she was hoping that since her and Matt were together less trouble would stir among the group. Victoria really cared about all of them and she was a little disappointed in herself before being the one causing all of the problems.
Though once Matt told them it was time to start she pushed all of that to the side. It was time to practice! Everything else would fall into place.

Kyra
Once in the kitchen, Kyra laid the pie down and moved to Maddock's side. She looked upon the others with curiosity but kept her mouth closed. There was a lot of people here and they all were so interesting. Usually she would have been more than ready to pipe up and start chit chatting away. But things were clearly already happening and for now she was just happy to watch it happen. Plus she wanted to be on her toes to make sure she did not cause any problems while there. Maddock had been kind enough to invite her and she did not want to ruin that.

Ben
Ben almost tripped over his own feet when Murel first started to pull him inside. Though after a few steps he was able to save himself and run alongside her. "Are you actually going to punch your brother?" Ben felt like he had to ask. Just because he did not think she was all that terrifying did not mean he was stupid enough to believe that she would not punch her brother. Ben knew she would do it and he wanted to know what was going to happen before she actually did something.

Tony was still eyeing Peter with anger. She didn't trust him.... And hoped that Abigail could convince him to still bring Adam back here after the holiday was done. She took Mark's hand and walked back into the house, frowning when she saw most of the people were eating ice cream, "Guys, you don't want to ruin your appetite..."

Faye's eyes widened in slight terror when Tony caught them. She didn't want to be the focus of the woman's wrath, so she quickly explained, "Pregnant woman cravings!"

Matt
After practice, Matt lingered, waving the others off until it was only himself and Victoria left in the hall. He closed the door behind Jason, then looked back at Victoria. A slow grin spread across his face. “Hey you,” he purred, stalking over. “Ready to go yet? Because I am.”

Murel
“Well, yeah.” Murel scoffed, stopping short of running into the little group by the kitchen. “Hey, you, what’s your face,” she said rudely, poking a man she didn’t recognize in the back. “Move it, get outta the way! Oh, hey, Abigail, here to cause trouble again? Shoo, scram, don’t like you, be gone! Mark!” She shoved past Mark’s ex-girlfriend and tackled her eldest brother from behind with a hug. “I’m here for the food! Feed me!”

Mark, Maverick, Maddock, Mariah and Adam
Mark reached back and patted his sister on the head. “You made it, good,” he said warmly, hiding the internal cringe. Wonderful, just who they needed right now. “Mind letting go, leach?” Turning to Adam, he added, “Hey kiddo, we worked everything out. You and Caesar ready to go to your Grandma’s?”
Adam looked up from his ice cream. “Caesar can come too?”
Mark nodded. “Caesar can come too. Right, Peter?” He gave the other man a look.
Peter grimace, but nodded and held out his hand. “Come on, you can bring your toy, but we need to get going now. We’re going to be late, and you know Grandma hates it when we’re late.”
Adam hopped down from the chair and walked over to his stepfather. “Okay. Thanks for the ice cream, Uncle Mariah!” He looked at the newcomers, frowning at Murel. “Are you my Aunt Murel? Uncle Mariah said you were crazy and I should stay away from you.”
“Geeze, kid, way to get me in trouble!” Mariah griped. He purposefully took another bit of ice cream then tossed a pint to Murel. “Eat up, we’re having dessert first. You too, Mack.” He frowned, spotting an unfamiliar redhead in the doorway. “Who’s he?”
Maddock glanced back. “Hey, Ben. Everyone, this is Kyra, my guest.”
Maverick waved, one hand on Angel’s head. “Hi, Kyra. I’m Maverick. Maddock said you’re a vet?”
“Yeah?” Mariah asked. “Maddcok, you bring those kittens again? I’m Mariah, by the way.”

Antonella, Edna, and Faye
Tony pouted as ice cream was passed around, "Alright, you can have desert first... but I don't want you guys to spoil your appetite, okay?" She walked to the counter and to stir the food on the stove, "Because there's going to be a lot of food to eat!"

Edna took another spoonful of ice cream so that she didn't have to interact with anyone. It wasn't that she was shy... she just didn't know a lot of these people. She waved to everyone, then returned to her snack, dubiously eyeing the food Tony was making.

At the mentions of kittens Faye looked up, remembering the little black and white kitten that she'd first cuddled, but she quickly returned to her ice cream. It wasn't her kitten and the little adorable mass of fluff probably already had a home...

Victoria
Victoria locked up her guitar case before standing up and turning to Matt. "Yes I am." She told him, a large smile on her lips. Picking up her guitar, Victoria went to his side and lightly bumped Matt with her hip before heading out of the practice room. What she really wanted to do was hold his hand but at the moment that would cause too much suspicion with the paparazzi. "Do you need anything from your hotel or can we go straight to my apartment?"

Kyra
A little smile came over her lips as the others began to introduce themselves to her. It was nice to place names with their faces. Plus it seemed that the choas was beginning to calm down a bit. Though she knew with this many people it was always going to be a little hectic in some way. Kyra looked to Maverick and gave him a small nod. "Yes I am a vet and we did bring the kittens. They are already in a little pen in the other room. You all should go see them if you get a chance, they really are quite friendly." Kyra then laid the pie down on the table. "And I brought pumpkin pie for you all."

Ben
"Hey Maddock." Ben said as he went over to the ice cream and grabbed himself a bowl. He was not really one to turn down food if it was offered to him. Besides who didn't like ice cream? Once his bowl was full Ben moved over to the wall and leaned against it, relaxing as he looked over at the others. Once he was down eating he would probably jump around and talk to them. Though for now he was just satisfied with the cool deliciousness.

Matt
“No, I think I’ve got everything,” Matt said, resisting the urge to touch her. Things had been easy in practice, when he had other things to concentrate on, but now that they were alone, all he wanted to do was pin her against the wall, rip off her clothes, and-
Matt shook his head free of the delicious image. Save it for later. Just a little bit longer and he’d have her all to himself. “I’m ready when you are.”

Mark
Mark cut off Peter before he could get offended by Murel’s rude entrance, glad she’d released his neck in favor of ice cream. He ushered Adam and his parents to the door, getting a promise from Abigail that they wouldn’t be too late. Once they were finally gone he breathed a sigh of relief. Finally. One more minute with that man and he would have lost it! Now to get back to the others.

Murel
“You brought the kittens!?” Murel exclaimed, jumping up. “Where! Let me see!” She bolted for the other room, everything else forgotten in her desire to see the adorable balls of fluff. “Aaw!” She exclaimed, picking up the only solid colored kitten. “You don’t have any white on you, cutie, you’re adorable!” She snuggled the little animal, careful not to crush it, and carried it back to the kitchen. “Ben! Look! Kitten!”

Mariah and Maddock
Just as he’d thought, Faye still liked that kitten. The idea had started to take form when she’d suggested taking in Angel, but the dog so obviously adored Maverick, and he adored her, it wouldn’t happen. He shook his head and followed Murel into the other room, Maddock at his side. He looked down at the two remaining cats. There was a black and white w=one and a grey and white tabby. He’d grabbed the black and white one the first time, he thought. Bending down, he scooped up the little thing and turned to his brother.
“Do any of them have homes yet?” He whispered so as not to be overheard. “Faye really liked this little guy, so if he’s still looking, we’ll take him.”
Maddock nodded. “Was hoping you would. Murel’s getting one.” He picked up the final, unwanted kitten and his favorite. “All’s left is her.”
“Cool.” Though the thought of Murel with a pet? “Hope you know what you’re thinking.” Carrying Faye’s kitten back to the kitchen, he took away her ice cream and replaced it with the kitten. “Happy Thanksgiving.”

Maverick
Watching his siblings coo over the new arrivals, Maverick glanced at Edna. “You want to see the kittens?” He asked. He didn’t mind them, but he was coming to find that he was much more of a dog person. He held Angel’s collar so she wouldn’t go over and scare the kittens. She was practically trembling in curiosity, soft whines coming with every breath.

Faye blinked as her ice cream was removed, then gave a soft, slow smile at the kitten in her hands, "Oh, is this the same one?" She asked, looking up at Mariah, eyes wide, "From last time?" She turned back to the kitten and rubbed her face against the fluffy little kitten, "Oh, he's gotten so much bigger..." She never wanted to let him go... his coat so soft. When the kitten mewed she laughed and mewed back at it.

Edna
Edna turned to Maverick and smiled, shaking her head as she put a hand on Angel's head to pet her, "No, it's fine. They're cute and all, and I probably will give them some attention later, but right now it looks like they're all getting attention from enough people." She scratched under Angel's chin, "Poor girl just wants to go and say high."

He walked back into the kitchen, only to find everyone cooing over kittens. He sighed and shook his head. “If you’re going to play with the animals, get them out of the kitchen. I’m trying to cook.” He fixed Tony with a look. Her little additions to some of the dishes hadn’t gone unnoticed. “You too. Everyone out unless you’re cooking! Tony, go play with a cat. Honestly, you people.” He was unable to hide the smile that tugged at his lips. “Do you want to eat or not?”

Mariah
“It’s the only black and white one.” He shrugged. The kitten was cute, sure, but he didn’t much care either way. It made Faye happy. “Come on, let’s go before we get in trouble.” He eyed at the boy Murel had arrived with. She might be more than capable of taking care of herself, but she was still his only baby sister. “Besides, I want to have a chat with this Ben character.”

Maverick
“I know.” He pet her broad head and stood. “Alright, alright, Mark, we’re going. Come on, Angel, I think we might have to put you in your kennel for a bit, things are a bit crazy around here.” He offered Edna his hand and started heading towards the door, hauling a reluctant Angel behind him.

Tony turned to Mark with a pout, "Why are you kicking me out?" She asked, walking up to him and leaning in close, her hands going to rest on his chest, "This is my first Thanksgiving... ever... and I really want to help..." She leaned in closer, pressing a light kiss to his lips, "Please?"

Faye
Faye smiled and stood, laughing a little at Mariah, "Leave him be," She said, cuddling the kitten close to her face, "I'm sure your other siblings have already interrogated him..." She walked next to his side, leaning into him, "I mean... your poor sister..."

Edna
Edna took Maverick's hand and walked with him to Angel's kennel. As they were putting the dog back she wrapped her arms around herself and sighed sadly, "Maverick? I haven't been able to find a home for her... and we don't have much more time..." She bit her lip, looking down, "I feel like I've failed her..."

Maverick latched the door on Angel's kennel, forcing himself to ignore how she whined and pawed at the kennel before turning to pull Edna into a hug. "We'll figure something out." He said, holding her so she couldn't see the look on her face. "There's still a few days left." He winced as Angel started to bark. The kennel training was turning out to be difficult. "You haven't failed her. There's still time."

Edna dropped her head on his shoulder, eyes closed as she wrapped her arms around him, "But I have. She doesn't have a home... doesn't have a family... and now she'll go to the pound..." She dropped her face further into his neck, "I'm sorry. And I made everything just... rough here. Mark didn't want her and it's coming to the end of her time..."

Maverick
"But she won't go to a pound," Maverick said, rubbing her back as he raised his voice to be heard about the barking. He led her out of the room and closed the door behind them, cutting off the sharp edge of the sound. "Mark said that if she didn't find a home, she'd go to a rescue. A place that would find her a home, where she wouldn't be put down. I've been looking at rescues to see what the best one would be for her, just in case. But I have complete faith in you!"

Edna shook her head as she waled to the other side of the hall across from him, her arms wrapped around her body, "Yeah, that's better than the pound, but still... no one wants her." She pressed her back against the wall, then slid down it to sit, "They're all afraid of her breed." She shook her head, "I'd take her... but I can't have dogs... maybe if I sneak her?"

"We'll figure something out. Besides, I think Mark's starting to like her. Except for this." He winced, putting a hand over his ear. "This part sucks. I went to the pet store and the trainer there said it would take some time and gave me some tips, but man. It never stops!"

Edna looked at the door, listening to the barking a little, before shaking her head, "This is why I couldn't keep her. What if I'm gone at work or school and she starts this? They'd know for sure I had a dog." She dropped her head to her raised knees, "I'm really sorry I got you into this." After everything that had happened earlier today... to add this on top of it was stressful. She still wasn't over how her parents treated Maverick... and now he had this to worry about?"

Maverick dropped down beside her and wrapped his arm around her shoulders, pulling her close. "Hey, stop worrying. Think happy thoughts." He wanted to make her smile, clear her mind, but he didn't know how. He leaned down and kissed her cheek. "It's Thanksgiving. Let's put the bad aside and have fun today, okay?"
