    Now I see fire
    Inside the mountain
    I see fire
    Burning the trees
    And I see fire
    Hollowing souls
    I see fire
    Blood in the breeze
And I hope that you remember me

I ran through the woods as fast as I could. I had to get away from Smaug. I had no idea why he wanted me or why he kept me in that mountain for twenty years. But I had finally escaped. I ran across a bridge, hoping to find refuge soon. Before I could stop myself I slammed into someone's chest, causing me to fall down with a shriek. I looked up to see a tall Elvish man with long blonde hair. He held a bow in his hand and I backed away as quick as I could until he pointed an arrow at me, causing my eyes to grow wide.

    Smaug
I roared out in anger as the young girl with white hair escaped me. I flew around, looking for her. "I will find you" I seethed before flying away toward my mountain. Looking below me as i did so.

"Easy, girl," I hushed my black stallion, feeling it get startled up against me as we walked further into the woods that was blanketed in a thick fog, the view of a large mountain not too far from where I stood, "Just a little trip to a spot nearby and we can continue our journey to the big farming lands you always wanted."

Hearing a loud roar in the air that was louder than a rumble of thunder, my stallion suddenly panicked and kicked its too feet in the air with a shriek. I held on to the horse to prevent from falling, the situation already getting out of hand by the fact that my horse was too scared to go any further.

"Easy...easy," I whispered to it, the sound of something flapping getting closer, "What on Earth is that?"
    Legolas

As usual under my Father's direct orders, I took the entire day of roaming the lands nearby in search of anything significant that could be either a threat or of definite use for our people. Peace was an inevitable rule to our way of living and Father wanted no part in dealing with the disturbances of the lands around us. Orcs and goblins tend to trespass around our area but it doesn't take long to take them down. Those patrols I think have learned a valuable lesson for the most part.

When I heard a loud distinctive roar in the very far distance of the land ahead of me, I walk further down before letting out a loud grunt from something that hit me hard against the chest. Upon instinct, I grab my bow and arrow and aimed it at the being that ran into me. A woman of white hair and bright eyes as pure as the ocreans stared at me with completed shock. Frowning at the sight of her fear, I snap out of my gaze and questioned in a stern tone, "Who are you? Why are you even here?"

I stared up at the elf, looking into his blue eyes. "I-I don't mean any harm"I stuttered out in a soft melodic voice. "I-I'm seeking refuge...My name is Odette" I said quietly. "Please help me. I-I've been trapped in the lonely mountain with that beast for twenty years. Please help" I said quietly, looking at him carefully.

    Smaug
I began to fly to my home, but I began to slow down when I felt a wave of powerful magic below me. I instantly landed to see a young woman, much like the one I had been chasing after, only she had magic. "What do you think you're doing on my land" I hissed out at her.

It was an understatement that I was scared beyond belief at the sight of this beast before me; I was absolutely petrified. I have never...seen a dragon this close before. This monster was colossal in its form and its eyes were bright like the deadly fires of the mountain above. I could smell its breath that wreaked of smoke and burnt flesh.

Watching my horse run off without me in true fright as I lie there on the ground helplessly, I felt my entire body shake tremendously, "I-I'm sorry. I d-didn't know this was your land... I-I'm only wandering around as a passageway through this forest to get to my d-destination. Please, I mean no trouble... I'll leave you in peace immediately..." I gulped, its large claws connected to its wings slamming down several feet away from each side of me.
    Legolas

My eyes widened for a few seconds when she mentioned being a "refugee" of the Lonely Mountain. It was no doubt that the beast within that rocky structure was planning something involving a specific woman of such power. Obviously, it isn't this woman by the fact that no magic is evident from her aura. But she is half of something for sure by my own sense of sight.

Lowering my bow and arrow, I attach them back on my back before holding out my hand, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you," I said with barely any emotion in my voice as I gently helped the woman to her feet, "It is a natural instinct for me to do that when it comes to people who are unrecognizable of my own eyes."

"I understand" I murmured quietly. I looked into his emotionless blue eyes. "Follow me" I said, spinning around before walking from the direction he came from. I began to follow the elf, wondering where he would be taking me. It was a short walk before we reached the doors of a kingdom and i froze for a moment. "We're not going in there are we?" I asked looking at the cavernous space. "Yes." He said, grabbing my arm, and yanking me inside.

    Smaug
I looked at her with my firey red eyes as I circled around her. "It is not peace that I seak" I hissed out, my voice making the ground rumble below me. "It is power" I roared before pushing myself up. I grabbed the young girl by her shoulders, making sure that I did not kill her.

"LET ME GO!" I screamed out when this beast suddenly began carrying me in its claws that were no doubt his own feet, "YOU CAN'T KEEP ME!"

"Yes I can!" the beast roared out, "All I want is your power and until I find no use, you will remain in the mountain with me...forever."

"No!" I yelled, watching the opening of the mountain at the peak come into view as he swooped into it and descended far below through many gigantic pillars, bridges, and structures of pure treasure.

In seconds, the beast threw me to a neverending "land" of pure gold and treasures that filled the entire mountain's base within its walls. I winced from the impact as gold coins covered my lower body. The winged-beast landed near me elegantly and slammed its front claws against the ground in front of me.
    Legolas

"Easy with the grip, sir, you are hurting my arm," Odette muttered in a tone that was filled with annoyance, something I was not patient enough to deal with at the moment.

"Stop dragging your feet, you need to meet my Father," I ordered, keeping a tight grip on her arm as I escorted her roughly through the large, stone hallways of the kingdom, "From there, your fate will be decided for trespassing our lands. I do not promise luxury from someone like him. Keep your attitude to yourself if you want to live."

"O-Okay," I heard her stutter, the large architecture of the throne-room coming into my view from a near distance in front of me.

I flinched from his tone and followed behind him (Not that I had much of a choice ). I watches as a large throne came into my veiw and I looked at the elf who was holding my arm. He shoved me forward, causing me to land on the ground with a yelp. I slowly looked up to see anothet blone hair blue eyed elf. He must have been my captor's father. "I-I'm sorry for tresspassing my lord" I said in a soft tone, not holding his gaze. "I-I mean no harm. I seek refuge" I said quietly, slowly looking up to see what he was going to do.

    Smaug
I let out a dark laugh before looking at her. "Who are you?"she asked me quietly. I looked at her. "I-I am Smaug" I said to her, slwoly encircling her. "You will stay with me until you are of no use to me. Then. I may let you go. Or i'll eat you" I chuckled

Slowly getting up from where I lied on the gold coins, I stood to face Smaug with as much strength of my courage as I possibly could, "I-I will not obey your sick games, dragon. And for saying that, I guess you have to kill me," I crossed my arms over my chest.

Smaug let out a raspy laugh that echoed throughout the mountain, his long scaly body encircling around me like a barricade from escaping, "I will not kill you, girl. I need the power you possess. And the only way to get it is to imprint our bloods as one, meaning that I could force you with my own will to do my bidding for all of time."

I glared at the beast, its snout moving towards me, "I refuse to cause pain to the world around you, just because of your greed to rule."
    Legolas

Our Lord looked at me with curiosity, a small snicker distinctively heard from him, "Where did you find this...this...female?"

I sighed, crossing my arms behind my back, "I found her in the outer boundaries near our kingdom. Apparently, she is a refugee from the Lonely Mountain. The beast within the rocky structure was I guess keeping her there from what she told me. I'm not sure to believe that or not, considering the monster isn't one for the likes of humans."

    "I-It's true!" she exclaimed.

"Silence!" father yelled back, glancing back at me, "Give her a guest room on our lower level. I want to know more about where she came from. She has a particular genetic appearance that is...familiar to me."

I looked at them to the confused. I was not happy that the Elf King had taken a particular interest in me. "There isnt much to learn my lord" I said softly. "I was found on the docks of the small lake town near the mountain, nearly 70 years ago, Nobody knows where I come from. I-I was taken by the dragon because he believed I had some sort magical power that he could use for dark purposes." I watched as he slowly walke down the steps. "Do you?" He asked. "Would I be seeking refuge if i did?" I snapped.

    Smaug
I laughed at her. "Your powers are not going to be used for that yet" I said to her. "For now, you will give me the ability to turn into a human. That is all I need from you at the moment. Until I need you again, you will be lcked away where you cannot escape.

"Why be a human when you are literally...a colossal titan that rules a mountain of pure treasure?" I asked in curiosity, looking at him funny of how he would want such an odd request.

Smaug snickered, "Life isn't always fun when you are too large in structure to mess with any areas of the land. I rather would go in person and see what I can do to those when they don't recognize what I am made of or even capable of doing. Which also leads to the favor of giving me certain powers of pyro as well to fit more to my style."

I swallowed hard, "You are very demanding. But I still have to refuse your offer."
    Legolas

"You have a point," father stated as he thought intently with his fingers moving along his pale chin, "You will still be granted the guest room down below. I would believe you would want that and not the cells of the dungeon, do you? Our guards aren't the nicest in that area."

Odette shook her head, "No sir...I would be honored to take the guest room."

Father smirked, "Good, very good. Legolas, escort this lovely lady to her room and make sure one of the servants prepare her for dinner. She will be eating with our other guests tonight. Also, get her cleaned up."

I looked at him confused as to why he was being so nice. "Thank you sir" I murmured quietly. I let out a gentle sigh as Legolas helped me to my feet and led me away from his father. "Why is he being so nice? By the description you gave me before we got here, he seemed, very....mean" I said to him. " I do not know what my father wants with you. But whatever it is, I suggest obeying, because it will not end well for you if you disobey him." He said to me. After a moment he led me into a rather large and luxurious looking room. I stepped in and he looked at me. A servant will be in shortly to help you for dinner" he said to me before closing the door.

I jumped slightly when the servant opened up the door and looked at me. I noticed she was carrying a small box, a white and gold dress, and some gold shoes. She gently placed the items down and looked at me. "The king has taken a particular interest in you" she murmured. I let out a soft sigh. "Yes I know" I said gently. "Lets get you cleaned up" She said. I nodded my head and followed her into the bathroom area. After she helped me get clean she helped me get into the clothes that the king had picked out. I let out a quiet sigh, not used to the dresses and the heels. Quiet frankly, I was sick of the gold, but I would do what the king asked as long as I stayed alive.

    Smaug
I let out an angry roar and released a breath of fire above her head. "You will do as I say!" I roared out in her face, watching as she stumbled backward. "Now, you will turn me into a human, and you will accompany me on my journeys. If you even think, to leave me, I will hunt you down and make your life a living hell" I snarled at her. "This can go a much better and safer way for you if you do as you are told." I snarled at her. I saw her flinch and she glared at me after I finished talking. " I'm never going to listen to you" she spat. I glared at her through narrowed orange eyes and pinned her between the talons on my wings. " You will do as I say Human" I snarled at her, leaning my face in close. "Be thankful, that I have no intentions of killing those pathetic beings that live on this world." I hissed.

Narrowing my eyes into his, I let out a long sigh and grasped on to his large talons that kept me pinned to the ground, "Fine. I will give you the power. As long as you don't create a massacre with the beings, that is fine with me. Not like you could anyways by being human.

"Don't push it, girl," Smaug growled, moving his talons off of me so I could stand on my two feet, "Now...do you need any tools to perform this at all?"

I shook my head, "I know shape-shifting spells like that within my mind. It is a hard task when no magical being is used as a part of the transformation but by your magnitude and high fire power that contains such small magic, I am willing to do this rather...easily. Place your snout right in front of me so I can place my hand on it."

The beast purred lowly before setting its lower jaw on the floor of gold, leaving its entire snout in my own free grasp. Glancing into its eyes, I take a deep breath and gently place my hand on the area near its nose before closing my eyes and thinking hard on creating the energy to shift him.

After I was able to place on one of my white suits that was always provided to me in occasions like these, I walk down the halls towards Odette's room and hoped for the best that the dress at least was able to fit her nicely. If there were issues, father would be annoyed and might throw an argument towards the servants and I. I was not in the mood to deal with that nonsense at this time of day.

Knocking on the door, I heard Odette's soft, fluent voice command me to 'come in'. Opening the door, I felt my eyes roam over her delicate body features that were hidden beneath the dress. I had to say, she was absolutely beautiful.

"Wow...you look...rather astonishing," I said with true honesty, a hint of a smile appearing on my pale pink lips, "Are you ready?"

I let out a gentle smile before looking at him. "Thank you Legolas" I said quietly. "You look handsome" I noted before walking toward him. "Let us get this over with shall we?" I said to him. He nodded his his head and I grabbed onto his arm so he could help me down the steps and led me toward the dining hall. The moment we reached the room his father's wyes landed on me. I watched as his peircing blue eyes made their way up to mine, and after a moment he smirked. "Let the guest sit beside me" He said to Legolas. I slowly walked over and sat down in the chair beside him, causing my body to stiffen. I looked down to see his hand move towards mine and I chewed on my cheek, hoping that he didnt try to grab it, even though i knew he would. He leaned in close to my ear. "You're beautiful. Beautiful enough to be my queen" At that very moment I looked at the ground. "I-I'm not sure that would be a bright idea my lord" I murmured.

    Smaug
After a few moments I felt my body shift into that of a humans. I looked at her and smirked before grabbing her hand. I led her up the steps and into a room to go and see what I looked like. I felt so small, something I was not used to. Not by far. Something I qas glad i would never have to deal with for the rest of my life. "W-where are you taking me?" She asked as I pulled her behind me. "Our room" I said, hearing my voice that was rather deep. I smirked seeing the look of fear on her face "Our room?" She said confused.

"Get your hands off of me!" I screamed out as he continued to drag me up these stoned steps that led a good 100 feet higher from the ground, "Smaug! What are you doing?"

"We need a room to put you in, don't we? I'm not always gonna be in there since I shift into my glorious dragon form but I could use it for other needs related to you," Smaug chuckled, shoving me into a doorless room that was purely polished in a dark grey stone with designs along the walls and a very flat surface (almost like a table) held up agains the ground, "This will be our room. And I figured you are going to get me clothes? Yes?"

I swallowed, "T-The backpack that was with me when you captured me has extra clothes that are good for your size. It's downstairs..." I whispered, standing rather uncomfortably at the sight of him truly nude before me.
    Legolas

"Hm, why do you say that, my lady?" father asked in wonder, his eyes never leaving Odette's marvelous figure that was mostly concealed by the most beautiful gold fashion of his request, "I'm sure that stuff like that can be arr-"

"I don't think it is polite to make her uncomfortable, my lord," I spoke up, interrupting his conversation that forced him to look at me, "She just arrived. I suggest some needed space will do."

Father glared for a second before softening his look with a smile and shrugging, "As you wish, Legolas. Our food should be here soon. It is the finest you will have in these regions, my lady. Savor it when you can, along with the delicious wine."

I looked at Legolas and gave him a silent thank you and looked down at my plate. I slowly looked over to see that the King had not taken his eyes off of me, which worried me slightly. I watched as the servants came in and brought in the food, which seemed to be nothing but green food. No meat? what was wrong with these people. I let out a gentle sigh and began to eat.

Once dinner was finished I slowly stood up and watched as the few other people stood up. Among them was Legolas and his father. I felt his father's hand on my mid back and I bit down on my lip. Looking at Legolas for help, but he just turned away. Asshole. I followed his father wherever he was leading me, and it wasn't long before I realized that he was leading me to his bedroom. "W...Why did you bring me here?" I asked him quietly.

    Smaug
I smirked and walked back down the steps, being sure to find the bag of clothes. I quickly slipped on a pair of shoes, a a shirt. along with some pants before walking back up the steps to the woman I would use for power. I saw her sitting on the bed that was big enough for the two of us and smiled. "We should be going. We have business to deal with" I said to her.

I watched as she slowly stood up and I smirked darkly. I linked my arm with hers and led her toward the main doors. I walked out of them, seeing her horse munching on some dead grass over by the water. "Call it over here." I said to her.

"Elvan, over here," I called over my steed, seeing Smaug gaze around the environment with his own eyes at the very sight of how small the world is when being human, "Good boy," I whispered to my steed, watching it shriek a bit at the presence of him, "He is spooked because he knows who you are."

"Too bad," Smaug growled, "Hold the horse so I can get on it with you."

I sighed and nodded, hoping on to the horse (knowing it won't hurt me when I ride it) and helping Smaug sit right behind me. It was even more discomforting when his arms slowly and creepily curled around my waist.

"Let's travel a bit down south today," he whispered in my ear.

I nodded, "On we go, Elvan," I called out, hearing him 'neigh' and then gallop down away from the mountain.
    Legolas

I sneakily got up from my seat and followed behind my father and Odette, yet I was keeping a distance so they didn't notice I was following them. Once I got to the wall that connected to the doorframe of my father's room, I listened into their conversation to know what my mischievous father was up to.

"Why did you bring me here?" Odette whispered to him.

"Because, it is not often we would hear about fugitives from the Lonely Mountain when Smaug, the great and powerful winged-beast, is very greedy and deadly in his methods of apparently wanting to keep you in his grasp," he replied bluntly, "Something like that sure is a bit misleading and suspicious, don't you think? Why else would a dragon of great power and colossal proportions want someone as small as you, hm? Smaug is an enemy of all of us...and for you to be important, or used to be, there is definitely something that needs to be kept away like a treasure unlike any other."

I backed away from him, falling onto the large bed. "Wh-what are you saying?" I stuttered out. "I didn't take interest in you because of your beauty or imortality. I have taken interest in you because of Smaug's interest in you. Clearly there is something very special about you Odette, and once i find out what that is, I'm going to make you my wife" he said to me. My eyes widened in surprise and I began to panic. Within moments I saw him look around for me. Did I..did I just become invisible? I shot up and opened the doors before running toward my room.

    Smaug
I smirked from behind her. This was the woman that I needed. For the past twwnty years i held that abomination of her sister in my grasp. But now I had the one I needed. "Lets go to the lake town" I said to her. I want to see how well they take to strangers. Let a lone a powerful woman such as yourself. Along with a new face among the realms" I said to her.

"As you wish," I whispered, letting my horse lead us to the lake town in fast speeds.

In a matter of several minutes (or more than that), Smaug and I came in contact with one of the boats that lead us to the Lake Town. Quickly I paid the man who guarded them and let my horse go free, knowing that I had the particular "call" that got her back to me in such fast time. It was a spell-binded horse that is forever connected to me; when I need it, he comes to me.

Sitting down in the boat while the bearded, rag-clothed man began taking us across the lake, he glanced at us rather strangely, "Are you two together in some way?"

Before I could say anything, Smaug suddenly spoke up, "Valarie...my wife," he said, grasping my hand in his that made me feel comfortable.

"How delightful," the bearded man grinned in joy, causing me to clench my jaw, "We will be at the town soon"
    Legolas

"Odette? Odette, where are you?" I heard father oddly yell out in his room, causing me to furrow my brows and appear at his doorway, "Legolas."

"What is going on?" I asked in curiosity, seeing the pale woman nowhere in sight, "Where is Odette?"

"She disappeared right under my nose!" he exclaimed, "I don't know how she did it but I knew there was something off about that woman. Look over the palace and find her! When you do, bring her to me."

I nodded, "Yes, my king," I muttered, running towards the station where the main guards rested with their rum, "Search the castle for Odette, the pale woman in the gold dress!"

"Yes, your highness!" they called out, all the guards scurrying all over the place in search for her.

I ran past several of the guards and ran right into my room. I quickly closed the doors and slipped onto my bed. I pulled my knees to my chest and began to cry quietly, unaware that I was still invisible. I didn't know how to activate it, or turn it off. My head shot up at the sound of my doors opening. I slowly walked around the corner to see Legolas looking around for me. I chewed on my lip and quickly ran back to the bedroom area. I knew it was only a matter of minutes before the handsome elf found me. I just hoped that he didn't take me back to his father. I also hoped that I didn't get put in a cell. I let out a shaky breath at the sight of Legolas' shadow. He was going to be here any moment.

    Smaug
I smiled lightly and kissed her temple to make it look more believable. "So what brings you to our town?" the man asked. "We seek a new home. A dragon destroyed our village along with everything in it" I said to him. "I'm so sorry for that. It must have been horrific. I remember when Smaug took the town by the lonely mountain. I could feel the heat of his fire on my cheeks. It burned to even feel it and not actually experience it." I heard him say. "Yes it was a great loss. I unfortunately lost a child to dragon fire" I said to him.
