Our Fates Were Always Intertwined.

Inuyasha frowned at the mention of it. Abandoned? Did that mean Kagome was dead? Or had they moved? He tried not to think about it and looked ahead as they got to the village.

"I'm not dead," Kimi all but snapped before she turned with a scowl. "You're pathetic if you think otherwise, Sesshomaru," she muttered before she headed back to the village.

Nami frowned at him, not realizing why he was so surprised that the shrine had been abandoned. By the way he acts he expects someone to fall through it, and it wasn't her.

Sesshomaru rolled his eyes before relaxing back into the tree. His eyes turned to watch after her, wondering just who this girl really was. He would never have expected his mother to lie to him, and hurt him like that. She was the only friend he'd ever had, and after she was claimed dead he never befriended again.

Inuyasha only stopped walking when they got to Kaede's hut and he set the girl down. "Go talk to granny in there," he told her bluntly before he leaned back against the hut with a frown. His thoughts were jumbled and he was rather distracted with the recent news he received.

Kimi tried not to let her run-in with Sesshomaru bother her. If he wanted to believe she was dead, then fine, she decided with a sigh as she moved through the village. Mentally, she debated on moving to a different one in hopes of avoiding him, but she doubted he'd go into the village at all.

Nami was confused as to why she needed to see Granny. But not going to argue she tucked into the hut. She wondered if he'd ditched her, knowing he didn't have any tie to her. Looking around she noticed how dimly lit it was, but still nothing hinted why she was here.

Sesshomaru closed his eyes, it was always so hard for him to get any sleep. Relaxing back into the tree, he hoped sleep would consume him. Only for him to groan as his mind became alive with thoughts of when he was younger and Kimi was apart of his life.

Inuyasha stayes outside the hut, though he could hear Lady Kaede inside. The woman blinked when she noticed the girl, staring at her. "Who might ye be?" she asked, easily able to tell that she wasn't from their era due to her clothes.

Kimi leaned against an abandoned hut as she sat down, turning her attention towards the sky. She figured counting the stars would help her sleep, that it would get her mind off her run-in with Sesshomaru.

"Nami." She said with out missing a beat. For some odd reason she felt an uncanning feeling of familiarity, and draw to this woman. "Nami Sachi." She said better introducing.

Sesshomaru's eyes flew open, he'd remembered a lot of things from his childhood. Memories that he'd blocked out, that had haunted his thoughts for years. He stood, wonder why now of all the time in the world she'd come back. Why Kimi was back now.

Kaede stared at the girl for a long moment. "And ye be not from this era, am I correct?" she asked, tilting her head slightly. Inuyasha tried not to roll his eyes and stayed outside, wishing the conversation would just hurry along.

Kimi closed her eyes for a moment, trying to give her body time to relax - and, more so, trying to get her mind to relax. Too much had happened in just the small amount of time she had spent with Sesshomaru and it was driving her crazy.

Nami stared at her like she was just stating the obvious. "No I'm not." She said, still not sure why she was here in the first place. She just wished this would hurry along.

Sesshomaru stood from the ground, moving quickly towards the town. Something just wasn't setting right with him. He didn't know why but he just wanted to see if she'd made it back to the village safely.

"Do ye know that ye are currently in the Feudal era, then?" Kaede asked with curiosity, wondering if the girl had pieced together that much. "And that this is a very dangerous time to be in?"

Kimi could hear a few people murmuring in the streets, muttering "demon." She assumed that they were talking about a demon wandering through the town, since there wasn't any destruction.

Nami frowned at her. "Duh." She said rolling her eyes. "I've been followed around by a guy with dog ears." She informed her, knowing there was something off about its place.

Sesshomaru could hear the murmurs around him, though he chose to ignore it. Walking towards the abandoned hut. He could smell her before he seen her. "Kimi." He murmured to himself, looking over at her.

Kaede blinked with surprise. "Are ye speaking of Inuyasha?" she asked, having not been aware that he was there. With a grunt, Inuyasha stepped in. "Who else would it be, you old hag?" he asked bluntly, only for Kaede to sigh. "Inuyasha is a half-demon," she told the girl.

Kimi looked up when she heard her name and glanced over towards the source, surprised that it was Sesshomaru. "Did you change your mind about killing me, Sesshomaru?" she drawled before she closed her eyes once more.

Nami frowned this woman was crazy, half-demon. This dude probable got some kind of weird surgery to get them put on. It wasn't the first time she seen someone with weird attachments. She looked at Inuyasha agreeing with him this hag was crazy.

Sesshomaru glared at her, "you always did have the ability to piss me off." He informed her, shaking his head. He didn't know why he was here, it wasn't like things were going to go back to the way they were.

"Inuyasha, why have ye returned?" Kaede asked with curiosity. Inuyasha scowled and looked away. "I just figured it'd be best to get this girl somewhere safe. She came out of the well, so I assumed..." he trailed off, but Kaede understood. He thought that the girl might have had a connection to Kagome, Kaede sympathized.

Kimi's lips tilted slightly in a smirk as she opened her eyes again and looked at him. "A trait I can't seem to lose," she hummed out before she stood up and approached him. "Why did you come here, Sesshomaru?"

Nami frowned looking over at Inuyasha, she didn't understand what they were talking about. They were being very invasive. Leaving out a lot of important information.

Sesshomaru frowned before rubbing the back of his head. He wasn't sure how to answer her, he really didn't know why he was here. "Uh." He said feel quite sheepish, which wasn't something he was use to.

Kaede nodded in understanding and looked to the girl. "Where are ye from, young maiden?" she asked with curiosity. All of the talking was getting on Inuyasha's nerves and he shifted slightly, looking away. Kaede noticed and offered a smile to Nami. "Ye will have to excuse Inuyasha. He's not the best with socializing," she told the girl calmly.

Kimi stared at him for a moment, tilting her head to the side slightly. After a moment, she made her way over to him. "What's wrong, Sesshomaru?" she asked quietly, her brows furrowing in the slightest as she eyed him.

Nami frowned she wasn't sure how to answer the question. Inuyasha had said something about the modern era, but it was foreign to her to even know what was going on. "I know how he feels." She informed the woman, not liking being pride on.

Sesshomaru frowned, not liking how things were. "I don't understand." He said, shaking his head. He didn't get why now of all time she'd show up. Or why she didn't seek him out sooner, all these questioned ran through his head. He'd once loved this girl and now here she was, and the love he felt for her was still there, it was just hard to wrap his head around she's not dead.

"Tch, I doubt it," Inuyasha muttered, though he wasn't trying to be rude. The girl just didn't have the whole story; she didn't know about Kagome or how Kagome had torn him apart when she left and never came back. "Just figure out how she got here, old woman," he told Kaede, who sighed. "I am not obligated to do that, Inuyasha," she said simply, "I'm certain ye will figure it out eventually." The old woman's words didn't ease his worries and he looked to the girl before he sighed quietly and frowned. "It's not safe here for her, for any human," he pointed out quickly.

"Don't understand what?" Kimi asked quietly as she eyed the demon man for a long moment before she wrapped her arms tightly around herself. "I don't understand why I got sent away. Or why it was so difficult to get back here that it took me years to find a portal. Or why your mother told you I was dead. I kept thinking that you knew she sent me away and that you'd somehow find me, but you never did and it was nearly impossible to find a way back here. I hated it there; I was alone and scared and I couldn't get back."

Nami rolled her eyes, "It's not safe any where." She informed him. "We all die eventually." She shrugged it off as if it wasn't a big deal. The world was slowly falling apart, they were wars going on back in the Modern Era. She'd be surprised if they even missed her. People disappeared all the time.

Sesshomaru frowned hearing her how she talked about her life being alone. Stepping forwards his arms encased her, as his head rested on hers. His words evaded him, not sure what to say. He wasn't one to understand human emotions or even face them.

Inuyasha frowned at the mention of it, glancing over at her. After a moment, he looked away and sighed. "You don't know what this era is like," he said simply before he moved closer to the two and sat down. "It's always dangerous."

Kimi was surprised to feel his arms around her, but it didn't stop her from moving closer to him. Burying her face against him, she was careful not to get too close to his armor and she closed her eyes tightly to relax.
