I was just curious. My one and only hero is PelleK. <3 It's going to sound silly but... he helped me discover my true self. He's really sweet and amazing though. I've talked to him on occasion. :3 He even knows he's my hero because I told him. ^/////^ I adore him too, and I really look up to him a lot. He's also really adorable too. <3

So, who are your heroes then? :3

My heroes are Neil Gaiman, Grant Morrison, and the other writers in my life that help influence my writing.

Neil Gaiman. He is the reason I kept writing when I started to feel like I'd never get anywhere with it.

For a long time I didn't have any heroes because I didn't like the idea of having people as heroes, since I was often let down by those people, realizing that humans can have many flaws. But there was one person who changed my mind about that mentality last year, and that person is the YouTuber Markiplier.

He's honestly just a silly dude that plays video games who is simultaneously one of the sweetest guys I have ever seen. He had a really tough life growing up, all the way up to when he started making videos on YouTube. And since then he's been trying to use his fame/popularity for good. He does monthly charity livestreams to raise money for numerous charities. He's super humble and always thanks his subscribers for the support they've given him, reminding them how important they are as people and to not give up. He always makes me laugh and during a time when I was so anxious at night that I could not sleep without laying there for at least an hour or so, I started listening to his Drunk Minecraft episodes at night to help calm/distract me.

He's just...fantastic. And also good looking. But that's not that important. It's been a year since I've started watching his content and he has not let me down significantly once. He is my hero and I love him so much.

The concept of a hero has always thrown me off because it seems to require some level of idol worship and belief in perfection, and I'm more or less hyperaware of the human capacity for fault. Mine more than anyones.
But if I were to call someone a hero, I think I would give that title to Julian Assange.

There is a distinction between good men and great men. I'm not sure how many would consider Assange a good man, but there can be no denying his greatness. He has launched himself at targets the implications of which seem infinite and expanding, he works tirelessly, he has created in the world a concept that completely challenges the idea of power, and his work alters history, gives power back to individuals, illustrates the power of intelligence and knowledge.

Attack his personality all you wish, his work speaks volumes, and it's a thing to behold. Truly.

Sorry, but I have to update this because PelleK isn't my hero anymore. My heroes are HITT, Tsuzuku, Takeru and Jui. I look up to them much more because they are so amazing. Both Tsuzuku and Takeru have mental health issues. Tsuzuku has borderline personality disorder. He still struggles with this in some ways, but I really look up to him lately because he tries hard. He's always trying to be strong for his fans. The sad part is... a lot of those so-called fans consider him to be too skinny and have actually resorted to body shaming him for it. It makes me sad because he doesn't deserve any of that. He's already gone through hell as it is. He doesn't need to have more problems on his plate.

I've also been considering Tom Hiddleston to be my hero and inspiration. He's the most amazing person in the world. He is so kind and sweet to us women. He is never judgmental about them or believes in what most mean think of us. He's the most perfect man on this entire planet. There is not a mean bone in his entire sexy body unless he's Loki. *giggle*

Oliver Sacks is my hero. When I learned that he was terminal I began to write a letter. I planned on telling him all of the ways he had impacted me, but life got in the way and he died before I could get back to writing him. I still don't know if he would have gotten my letter had I been timely enough to send it, but I wish I had been able to express these things to him.
