(Sorry this is probably short; starters are always the most difficult for me, but it should be better after this. :) )

The energy in the frat house seemed to fill everybody who walked through the doors to join the party. It was an accomplishment, in Calum's opinion, because it was a sure sign that everybody should be able to have fun. Joining his other fraternity brothers, he grinned rather broadly. "Looks like it's going to be another huge successful party," he announced happily, hearing Luke announce his agreement with an, "As always!" It almost made Calum laugh, because it had come to be what was expected of them; their parties were usually the best on campus. They were pretty much held to a high expectation for parties, honestly.
As soon as Aria walked into the frat house, she took notice of how eager everybody seemed to be to enjoy themselves. Not that it was entirely surprising, considering the frat house usually had pretty awesome parties - even she would admit that much. Knowing that her sorority sisters were likely there, she went in search of them, but only managed to find Sydney. "Hey," she greeted quickly, grinning broadly, "Are you ready for a fun night?"

    [ it's fine tehe ]

Sydney had just downed her fourth drink when Aria found her. It wasn't really a shocker that she'd been found though really, and it wasn't like she was hiding from anyone either. "I'm always ready for fun Aria you should know this by now." She said turning to the table to fix Aria a drink, and herself another. "I already have my eye on someone too. And I swear if Kelsey's here and she tries to swoop in and ruin this for me like she did last time with Chase I'll kick her ass. Not that'd it be hard. I mean she's a total wuss. But still I'll do it." She said to her sorority sister while handing Aria a drink. They were at a party after all, and there was so much to drink that they should take advantage. At least that was the motto that Sydney liked to live by.
Ashton couldn't help but laugh at the both Luke and Calum and just how they could be sometimes. Of course their parties were always amazing, this fraternity held some of the best parties the school had ever had. When it came to those two though they were always a little crazy though. Ashton was just happy as long as the girls showed up. Usually the parties were for all the fraternities and sororities so they were always jam packed with people, and well Ashton couldn't help but get a little excited. Especially considering there were some rather fit girls who attended these things.

Calum grinned broadly, eyes searching the crowd in hopes of making sure that everybody was having a blast. And, as expected, they were - which made him fairly proud, since a lot had been put into this party. Then, his mind switched focus - rather than making sure that everybody was enjoying themselves, he was now searching for somebody to hang out with, preferably a girl, which was likely expected, too. "I think all the cute girls might have come out tonight," he hummed, admittedly glad about that. It meant that he had a higher chance of enjoying his night, rather than having to spend his night with all the guys, like he would normal nights that didn't involve partying. "I think I'm going to go get a refill on my drink. Anybody want to come along?"
Aria couldn't help but to laugh at that, because she wouldn't be too surprised if Kelsey did try that - and she wouldn't be surprised if Sydney actually did put Kelsey in her place. "Tell you what, if she tries anything, I'll distract her," she offered with a grin as she accepted the drink and drank some of it, eyes glancing around for a moment. "I'll even lock her in a closet if I have to." Not that it would be difficult; all she'd have to do was say that somebody wanted to talk to her, that a cute guy had overlooked Aria and had eyes for Kelsey - anything that got Kelsey's ego going would work, honestly. "So, who's the guy you've got your eye on?"

    (It was great, don't worry!)

"I'm not really sure what his name is." Sydney said tucking her hair behind her ear. "I just know he's in my English class and happens to be part of this fraternity." She said glancing around the room to see if she even saw him around anywhere, since well he was surely there somewhere given he was probably helping host the damn party. "We both know though that it wouldn't really take much to distract Kelsey. It's just a matter of making sure to distract her before the guy notices her. Otherwise all hope is lost." She said shaking her head at the thought of it. "There he is. Heading our way right now." Sydney said looking over to her friend and biting her lip.
Ashton looked around the room was a quite pleased with himself, and the others. This turn out was pretty great, not that he'd expected it to be bad or anything though. Everything so far was going pretty well too. The music was still pumping and everyone still looked happy to be there. Which was what he wanted. "I'll come." He called after Calum making his way across the room to follow his friend towards the drink table. He felt like it was finally time to get himself a drink and start the night. "I have to agree with that one." He said looking around and noticing that there were a lot of good looking girls there, which would make it so much harder to choose who to spend the night with if he did that tonight.

"Of course you have to agree with me. I'm right," Calum joked with a grib, glancing back at his friend before he returned his attention ahead. "It's probably because most of these girls want to enjoy their night, rather than worry about classes in the morning." And who could blame them? Just ahead he could see the drink table and noticed a few girls near it, one who easily caught his attention. He recognized her, he realized, though he wasn't sure if it was from a class or a previous party. Honestly, it could even be both, but he figured there was no point in dwelling on the matter. Wherever he recognized her from, she was pretty much stunning and he figured his sights would be set on her for the night.
"Trust me, the only reason any guy gives attention to Kelsey is because she has a reputation. You'll win him over," Aria hummed out, grinning over at her friend, though she blinked at the mention of the guy heading their way. Following her friend's gaze, she arched an eyebrow as she caught sight of two guys heading towards the drink table. "So, is it dark haired beauty or boy wonder?" she teased her friend, though she was a bit curious. The one she dubbed as boy wonder was more attractive, to her, so she was a bit hopeful that he wasn't the one her friend had eyes for. If that was the case, she, of course, wouldn't get in the way; she was a better friend than that

"The dark haired beaut." Sydney said biting her lip hopefully in an attractive manner considering the guy she had her eyes on was walking towards her. Though that didn't last long since she caught a glimpse of Kelsey walking right towards them. "She's making her way towards us. Can I just hit her now please?" She said shaking her head. Sydney didn't care what Kelsey wanted tonight she wouldn't be getting it. Sydney was just tired of losing guys to Kelsey of all people just because Kelsey's boobs were bigger. Which Sydney had decided was the only reason guys would rather engage with Kelsey, well that and her reputation. Because well sure Sydney went to parties to have fun and all, but it was almost a known fact that Kelsey only came to these things to find someone to sleep with and that wasn't always Sydney's intentions.
"Hey there boys." Ashton heard someone say before they'd reached the drink table, and he turned to look and see who it was. The girl wasn't awful to look at, though he had literally only seconds before spotted a gorgeous girl at the drink table with a friend it'd seemed he'd pretty much already decided on, and well if Ashton had to pick between the two of them which he was sure he'd have to. He'd have to go with the other girl. Plus he did have a thing for brunettes. "Hey." He smiled not going to be rude though to this girl. "Are you enjoying the party so far?" He asked. "I'd be enjoying it more if I could spend it with you." He heard her say before her hand was on his arm and she was batting her eyelashes at him so clearly coming onto him. "Well as nice as that sounds," he started moving her hand off his arm, "I've actually got to get back to my girlfriend. Who I'm sure wouldn't appreciate me being with you. But I'm sure someone would love to spend the evening with you."

Calum tried not to laugh when Ashton so openly rejected the girl, whoever she was. He recognized her, of course, because she always came to the parties - and everybody knew why she came to the parties, of course. But, he just didn't know her name, because she hadn't really ever interested him. "It's not like she has to know," Kelsey told Ashton bluntly, but turned her attention to Calum, a smile that he was sure was supposed to be seductive taking over her features before she wrapped her arms around one of his. "What about you? Are you up for some fun tonight?" she asked, batting her lashes up at him. "As much fun as I'm sure you're implying a night with you would be, I've got plans," he told her with a polite grin before he pulled his arm free from her grip, "Sorry."
Admittedly, Aria was a little relieved when Sydney verified that she was interested in the dark haired beauty and not boy wonder. But, then, she noticed Kelsey wander over to the boys when Sydney spoke up about Kelsey heading there and she groaned with annoyance. "Let's find that closet and lock her up first. Then you can hit her when you're sober and can break her nose," she chimed, though she frowned when Kelsey started flirting with boy wonder. Only, then, boy wonder seemed to be rejecting Kelsey, which wasn't a usual thing. In fact, it was extremely rare and Aria couldn't help but be confused. "Did that just happen?" Her attention went to the dark haired beauty when Kelsey tried to flirt with him, too, but he ended up rejecting her advances, too. "Wow, two in a row. Are we in some sort of twilight zone or something?"

Sydney was just as shocked as Aria was by the scene that had just unfolded in front of them. Kelsey, the girl who literally just came to these parties for a hook up, was just denied twice. That wasn't really something that happened on a daily basis, or like ever for that matter. "That closet idea still sounds pretty stellar. Even in this weird twilight zone we seem to be in." Sydney said not really the one to pass up a chance to lock Kelsey up in a closet where she couldn't bother anyone for an entire night. What made the fact that she'd just seen Kelsey get rejected twice even better though was the fact that both guys were walking towards her and Aria, and Kelsey totally seemed to notice because Sydney saw the evil eye she was giving her. And in any other circumstance Sydney would've flipped her off, but since well she was still planning on flirting with the dark haired beaut and possibly having someone to spend her night with she decided against it. Plus well Sydney didn't really want to possibly ruin her chances with anything because she decided to continue some petty fight between them that'd honestly been going on since they were freshmen.
Ashton could not have been happier when the girl gave up her advances on both him and Calum. He didn't even care that she was clearly pissed and had left huffing and giving the stink eye to the girls they were quickly approaching, maybe she'd find someone else to go off and enjoy the night with her but it sure as hell wasn't going to be him, or his friend. "Thank God she's gone." He said not understand how she still found guys to even go home with her. Hell he still wasn't entirely sure what her name was, he knew she was in the same year as him and he also knew that she literally came to every single party ever and almost always went home with someone different. Which was bad enough in his mind, there was no telling if she could give you something or not with how many people she'd been with. Which he knew was a bad thing to think of someone, but well it was true. And he didn't wanna risk it. Plus there were rumors and just it was better off not sleeping with her. "So before we get to this drink table and shit goes down I just wanna say I'm calling dibs on the girl in the dress." He said leaning over to Calum a little before they reached the table.

Calum laughed at the mention of it and grinned at his friend. "Go ahead. The other girl's out of your league and more in mine, anyways," he teased his friend, nudging him gently. "But, seriously, I'm more interested in the other girl. I'm pretty sure I have a class with her, too." If only he could remember what class it was, because he could always talk about class if he couldn't keep the conversation going like he wanted to. Regardless, he concentrated ahead, until they were at the drink table and he was rather proud to see that he seemed to be getting a good bit of eye attention from the girl who had easily caught his interest. That had to be a good sign, right? Seeing that she had a drink, he went ahead to grab one for himself before he casually made his way over to the girl. "Need another?" he asked her with a grin.
Aria grinned and nodded her agreement. "We'll definitely do that later," she assured her friend. Honestly, she would have been all for doing it now, but the guys were heading their way and she wasn't going to pass up an opportunity like this just to go piss off Kelsey some more, even if she really wanted to. "Heads up, looks like dark haired beauty's got his eye on you," she whispered to her friend, nudging her with an encouraging smile, though it wasn't long before the boy actually approached her friend.

"Might have to wait until at least tomorrow though." Sydney said shrugging her shoulders a little, there was no way after all that she was about to let this dark haired beaut out of her sight for the rest of the night. For all she really knew she'd be here all night and well honestly she would not mind that at all. It'd been a while really since she'd came to a party looking specifically for a hook up, and it'd been even longer since she'd seen the person she wanted to hook up with as more than just a potential hooking up partner. And sure this wasn't exactly the most normal way to go about things, but well she wasn't usually one who followed order the best. Plus maybe he wasn't looking for anything serious right now, she wasn't exactly looking for anything serious either but if things between them got serious she wouldn't mind. For now though what was really wrong with two people just having a good time at a party. "Yea thanks." Sydney said smiling at him. "This is a pretty nice party." She said tucking her hair behind her ear in what was hopefully as cute as she wanted it to be.
"Whatever you say mate." Ashton said shaking his head at Calum. He was sure that if he really wanted to try and get with the other girl that Calum so clearly wanted to go after that he could. He just happened to be interested in her friend which clearly worked out in both their favors. Though by the looks of things as they got up to the drink table he wasn't so sure that the girl would've really given him the time of day since she did seem kind of set on Calum already, but whatever. Once they were at the drink table though he started to make himself a drink and one for her as well even though he didn't know her name oh well. "You enjoying the party so far?" He asked her handing her the drink and smiling his dimply smile that always seemed to charm girls without him having to put forth much effort. Which was a mystery to him honestly but whatever.

Calum grinned as he listened to her. She had a pleasant voice that definitely suited her stunning face, he could say that much. "You're welcome," he assured her as he took a sip of his drink, watching her gestures for any signs that she was interested in him, and easily picking up at them. "I'm glad you like the party. The guys and I worked pretty hard on setting it up." He grinned, then, because, though others assumed that it was easy to throw such awesome parties, it was actually a hell of a lot of work. At least it always seemed to pay off, though, and at least she seemed impressed with it; all the better. If she liked their parties, maybe she would come to them more often, though he wasn't sure how anything between them might turn out, whether it would just be a one-night stand or something more. "Is this the first of our parties that you've been to?"
Aria was rather happy with the fact that boy wonder had come over to her. It was surprising, considering he had only just moments before turned down Kelsey, who seemed able to get absolutely any guy that she had her eyes set on, but she definitely wasn't going to complain. "Well, the party's definitely full of surprises so far," she hummed out as she took the drink he offered her with a grin. "Thank you." She could have almost melted with his dimply smile, honestly, and she was glad she had such a firm grip on the cup already because she was certain she would have dropped it otherwise. "Do you have a name or am I going to have to keep calling you boy wonder to my friend?" She wasn't the best at flirting, far from it, but she could definitely drop hints that she was interested - and she was pretty good at sweet talking when she wanted to.

"I've been to a few." Sydney told him licking over her lips and smiling at him. This really wasn't her first party, and it certainly wasn't the first time she'd flirted with a guy before. She could however say that this was the first time she'd gotten a guy that she wanted instead of Kelsey which kind of totally boosted her confidence. "So I heard you talking in class about how you played guitar in your free time. That's kind of sexy." She said biting her lip and trying to make it obvious just how interested in him she was. "You know I've never play guitar before maybe you could teach me?" She told him even though that wasn't entirely true. She had taken so many music lessons when she was younger, the guitar just never really came to her. She could play the piano though, and knew a thing or two about drumming, oh and give her a violin or cello and she'd blow your mind. The guitar however she'd never been able to get the hang of, and she didn't really know why.
"That's good to hear." Ashton said glad that she was enjoying the party so far, and as far as he could tell these surprises that it was full of were good surprises. "Not a problem." He told her taking a sip of his own drink. "It's Ashton," he told her with another dimply smile, "but you're more than welcome to call me boy wonder to your friend if you really wanted." He added as he realized that she now knew his name but he didn't know hers. "Now can I have your name or am I going to have continue calling you that gorgeous brunette haired girl to my friend?" He asked her sure that wouldn't be a good idea to say to any of them because they'd more than likely be staring at someone else. And well Calum was clearly into her friend who he could've been thinking about. And just even though he was talking about this girl who was clearly the most gorgeous girl his friends might think he was talking about someone else.

Calum realized then where he knew her from, which class she was in - and that even helped him remember her name, now that he thought about it. "I do play guitar," he confirmed with a grin, unable to help it, considering that she had just said that him playing guitar in his free time was sexy - even if she did add kind of in there. "I wouldn't mind teaching you at all." Because he wouldn't. Even if whatever this was didn't end up being serious, he'd still like to hang out with her a bit, because she seemed like a fun girl so far, especially if she was genuinely interested in learning how to play the guitar. "Have you played any instruments before?" It wouldn't necessarily surprise him if she had, since some people could learn several instruments in their free time, but not have enough time to learn others.
Aria offered a rather coy smile in response. "Well, then, Ashton, the boy wonder, my name's Aria," she told him as she looked up at him. Taking a sip of her drink, she shifted slightly and lifted her shoulders in a shrug. "But, if you really want to continue calling me that gorgeous brunette haired girl, I wouldn't quite complain. It seems your friend might think you're talking about my friend, though." And, it seemed to be true. Ashton's friend definitely did seem to have his eyes on Sydney, which she was glad for her friend for - considering how many times Kelsey had managed to ruin their fun before by stealing away guys, it was a nice change of pace to see her friend catch the eye of somebody that she was clearly interested in. Coming to this party had definitely been a good idea for the both of them, it seemed, and she was glad to know that.

Sydney nodded her head. "Yea, I've been playing piano since I was five. I learnt how to play violin when I was thirteen, the cello when I was fifteen, and I know a thing or two about drumming but not enough to play the drums that well. And I think that's it." Sydney told him totally fine with adding another instrument or two onto the list of ones she already knew how to play, and she would not complain at all that Calum was the one teaching her. "How long've you played guitar?" She asked deciding to keep the conversation going and see where it led. Sure she knew where she'd like everything to lead, but she wasn't in any kind of rush and was okay with things not going quite as planned tonight. Not like she had to worry about Kelsey tonight so that honestly made this so much easier because she didn't have to try harder to get him to notice her only to have him not.
"Yea Calum would be the one to do that." Ashton said laughing a little, that was honestly the exact thing he'd been thinking. And by the looks of Calum, or what he could see from where he was standing anyway, given there were two girls in between them, Calum seemed really into Aria friend. And he was happy for the guy. Sometimes it seemed that while he and Calum were off just looking for anyone to spend time with Luke didn't have any troubles at all, and then more often than not girls were more into Luke than either of them. So for once it was nice that these girls both seemed to be into them. And it wasn't that Ashton couldn't get a girl, or Calum couldn't get a girl because he knew they both could. It was more just sometimes when Luke was around it was apparently a bit harder for them because apparently even with Ashton's dimples girls still liked Luke with his hair and pretty eyes and fucking lip ring a bit more. Made no sense to him really.

"I learned how to play guitar when I was fifteen," Calum said with a grin before he nodded to her words. "That's a lot of instruments to learn in a short time, I'm impressed." And, he was, honestly. It wasn't often that he found a girl who could play even just one instrument, let alone three and a little of four. It was definitely a surprise, but he figured it was good information to know. Plus, if she was as interested in music as he was, then he could spend a lot of time with her and things might escalate into an actual relationship instead of just what might be a one night stand; he was fine either way, because she was already nice enough to be around that it held his interest. "So musical talent and beauty? That's rare."
Aria couldn't help but to laugh along, because his laugh was a little contagious and she couldn't help it. "I'm not entirely surprised. They seem rather intrigued with each other already," she hummed out, glancing over to her friend. They seemed to be having an actual conversation, which Aria mentally applauded her friend for because, without the alcohol in her system, she was absolutely terrible at holding a decent conversation without getting distracted a bit. "It's nice to see, really."

"Thanks. It wasn't really the easiest thing since violin and cello are so difficult to play well but well I put a lot of effort into learning how to play them because I really wanted to." Sydney told him, and it really had been hard to learn them at first because they're just do different from other instruments but she'd gotten the hang of them. "And well that's me. The beautifully talented Sydney." She said laughing a little and tucking her hair behind her ear again. Whatever this turned out to be Sydney would be okay with it, because well while she was attracted to Calum, and she really wanted tonight to go well she was having fun just talking to him. They clearly shared interests and well had a class together that wasn't a general ed class so whatever they were majoring in had to have some similar fields which meant if they ever ran out of things to talk about regarding themselves, class was always an option.
"They do." Ashton said nodding his head in agreement. Whatever the two of them were talking about they were clearly both into and it really was nice to see his friend with a girl he could have something like that with. Even if the night was only a one time, though he was sure Calum would probably want to see her again if he was as interested as he seemed from where Ashton was standing. "So do you wanna go out there and dance or would you rather stand here and talk some more?" Ashton decided to ask her as he heard a song that he loved come on, and well they were at a party and there was more than enough room for everyone to mingle wherever dance with one another to loud music and he was fine with whatever.

"Beautifully talented and just beautiful," Calum corrected with a grin, unable to help himself. No reason to let the girl think that just her talent was beautiful when she was definitely gorgeous, in his opinion. "I'm Calum, by the way." Just in case she didn't know. He assumed she did, since she had bothered to remember that he mentioned being able to play guitar in class, but it was always better safe than sorry, in his opinion. "Maybe you'll be able to add guitar to that list of instruments that you can master." He grinned again, because he was certain he could teach her - or he'd spend a lot of his spare time trying to, just to be able to spend time with her. "So, aside from instruments, what else are you beautifully talented in?"
Aria arched an eyebrow as she turned her eyes to Ashton, rather amused with the suggestion. "Well, as long as you don't laugh at my slightly tipsy dancing, then I don't mind dancing," she hummed out as she finished her drink and lifted her shoulders in a shrug. At least she wasn't fully drunk, she mused to herself, because that would be embarrassing. She was an okay sober dancer. She was an absolutely terrible drunk dancer, but she wouldn't necessarily admit that to anybody, not even cute boy wonder who had a pair of the most adorable dimples that she had ever seen. Quickly quieting her thoughts, she looked up at him with a grin. "Lead the way to the dance floor, boy wonder."

"Well someone's a charmer." Sydney said tucking her hair behind her ear again. "I'm a pretty good dancer." She told him mostly in hopes that they could move from talking to something with a little more contact. After all she was looking to actually hook up with him tonight and surely as long as they were both up for it they'd have more time to talk about themselves and get to know one another. Though given he had agreed to teach her how to play guitar and all she was sure they were both okay with seeing one another again.
"Promise I won't laugh at your slightly tipsy dancing." Ashton said before he was grabbing a hold of Aria's hand and leading her out to the dance floor. That was really just the open area in the living room where everyone else was dancing. "You have to promise too though that you won't make fun of my dancing period. Because well I'm not promising I'm good or anything." He told her knowing actually that he was kind of a shit dancer. Though there wasn't much to dancing nowadays really, that didn't mean that he was some amazing dancer who could spin on his head and shit. Because he wasn't.

Calum grinned and winked slightly. "I try," he teased, because, okay, yeah, he was actually trying in this case. It was usually difficult for him to flirt, because he was never sure what to say. But, with this girl, he actually had something that he could talk to her about, he actually liked her and wanted to get to know her. It wasn't something that was common for him, really. Sure, he wasn't a player, he didn't hook up with somebody at every party, but he usually didn't actually enjoy being around the people that he did or intended to hook up with. Hearing her later words, he arched an eyebrow and smiled. "Is that a subtle hint that you want to dance?" he asked teasingly before he stepped back and held his hand out to her. "If that's the case, then let's go ahead and have fun on the dance floor."
Aria grinned in response as she followed him, keeping close as to avoid getting separated by the crowd. "Okay, I promise I won't laugh at your dancing," she assured him, as she was certain that she wouldn't even notice, anyways. "We can just dance badly together." She had to speak louder, now that they were closer to the music, but it didn't bother her too much; she was used to these parties, after all. Glancing around, she could see people grinding on each other in desperate attempts to release whatever sexual desires they held (and she was so grateful that those people weren't actively hooking up on the dance floor, because it was so close to it for some people.) Looking up to him, she arched an eyebrow. "Well, then, let's see your moves, yeah?" she teased.
