Eleanor Hodgeaye it's a marvel rpSteve Rogers

Hello sunshine, or what's your name today?
Well you look so graceful, but I'm not faithful
Do you really want to be with me?

Hello summer, or should I say goodbye?
Well, it's been so long but I'm still thinking
    If its worth another try

Well I've got a lot to talk about if you still
Want to listen or if you even care

I'm just trying to find my place in this world
And I know it's not so right to feel this way about you

Bucky was still with the family who took him in after they found him, he had just saved Captain America and was then thrown into a world that he didn't know any longer. He couldn't be around someone who had been his mission, even if the other did know him. He wanted to see if he could get his memory back, after Hydra had taken his memories away from him. Currently he was sitting at the dining table as breakfast had been served, "Thank you," He spoke quietly to the daughter of the man who had found him and brought him to the underground home, his brunette hair still brushed his shoulders and often did get in the way of his eyes. He looked down at the plate of food, which did smell delicious and he was familiar with most of the food. Eggs, bacon, toast, sausage and cooked tomato, foods that he had tasted a few times before but as a solider he mostly eat whatever they could find or where given. He had learnt much while with the family, he could even use his metal arm to hold and use cutlery which was more than useful to him now.

He heard a door open behind him and glanced over his shoulder, although he knew that it was only Taz coming into the room. "Morning," He said shortly even though he did really get along with Taz, in fact he probably got along the best with Taz and his father. Picking up his fork and knife, he begun to cut his food before taking large mouthfuls. He may have been frozen for years but his hunger was still the same, he was comfortable there with the family of secret agents who had taken him into their home without even considering how much bad he had done since he was defrosted to become the Winter Soldier.
Eleanor was wearing normal clothes, black skinny jeans with a nice v neck t-shirt with a pair of converses on her feet. She had stayed at a motel with Steve in Maine as she had heard of a sighting there, though she was beginning to think that any lead they got was just a lie. She was carrying numerous bags in her hands as she walked into the motel room that she had shared with Steve, she heard the shower running so she set the bags on the small round dining table. She had gotten them breakfast and snacks for the journey, she had also found a little clothing store so she stocked up on clothes so they wouldn't run out if they didn't have time to wash. She pulled out the hot breakfast food that really did smell delicious and she couldn't wait to start eating, "I've brought us some breakfast." She called out to Steve when the water was shut off.

Her long dark brown hair was curled as it ran down her back, she grabbed some coffee for herself and cutlery before sitting at the little table. She opened the take away containers as she had gotten herself some pancakes and a breakfast muffin, she covered her pancakes in maple syrup as she sipped her hot coffee. She started to eat her pancakes as she found herself thinking about SHIELD and how the good agents didn't have anywhere to go now, Fury hadn't been in contact with them so they had no way of knowing what was going on in that world.

Taz walked into the kitchen with a bored look on his face from having just rolled out of bed and brushed his teeth. His hair was in disarray and his sleeping attire - an over sized shirt and just his snug boxer briefs- was full of wrinkles and a bit damp from the water he splashed on his face in hopes of waking himself up. Going into the fridge he filled a glass with rice milk before grabbing some soy yogurt and took a seat beside of Bucky before his sister, Fiona, could simply because he knew she wanted to sit there. He was a piece of shit and he damn well was trying to be. Peeling the top off of the plastic cup Taz stole Bucky's spoon so he could eat with.

"Morning to you too, loser" he said casually, scooping up some of the creamy yogurt and eating it, keeping the spoon in his mouth as he pressed his cold toes against Bucky's leg,"You need a fucking hair cut or something" he commented, his sister behind him nudged his shoulder and told him to 'stop being mean', not that he was trying to be. Rolling his eyes Taz leaned forward,"I could cut it, I've been told I'm amazing with a pair of scissors" he said mischievously. "Don't let him, he'll try and cut your ear off and I promise you it wont be a accident" Taz's father said as he walked into the room dressed in a suit and tie, shiny shoes and his hair slicked back, his wife behind him with a lovely slim black dress and pearl earrings, dressed up for whatever their current mission was.
Steve felt like he had gotten just the bare grace of four hours of sleep even though they had been in the hotel for a day. It wasn't easy for him to sleep, hasn't been since he found out Bucky was still alive, and it has only been getting worse since his apartment was destroyed and he lived out a bag while he ran around followed leads he couldn't even be sure were true or false. Bur he knew he couldn't just ignore someone saying they spotted him, he didn't want to brush off any possibilities, not when it came to his best friend. Turning off the shower Steve stepped out and dried himself with a towel, grabbing the clothes he had brought in with him and pulling them on, just a white top and dark blue jeans since the attire he liked was ridiculed by Natasha one too many times.

Stepping out of the bathroom he sent Eleanor a smile as he combed his fingers through his hair to make his typical side part."Thank you very much Eleanor" he said as he draped the towel over a rock to dry and took a seat opposite of her. It smelled absolutely delicious for something that can in a carton though he had no doubts about the taste."Looks like what my ma used to cook for me when I was younger" he said fondly, a soft edge to his voice as he picked up a fork and ate some of the home potato fries.

Bucky had gotten used to Tex, it assumed that was just how young people interacted these days. He had been known to tease Steve all the time, but he was never rude nor did he ever called people names like loser. Though he had somehow gotten used to it and expected it, "I will not trust him with a pair of scissors. That is just your opinion, I'm sure not everyone shares that opinion." He told the younger boy only to have his sister, Fiona, agree that long hair on guys was a lovely trend and suited him extremely well. In return he gave her a slight nod of his head as a little thank you, he looked over at the siblings parents who had gone on a few missions while he had been there. He didn't really enjoy them leaving as Fiona tended to get a little more forward with him, he did enjoy that and often flirted in return to her but she could get a little much at times.

"Good luck on the mission," He told them both and moved his leg away from Tex's cold toes, he continued to eat his breakfast knowing he'd need a full stomach if he was going to be busy that day. He didn't have any plans, though he'd like to find a quiet place and try to remember everything that he had forgotten or was taken away from him.
"It's not a problem, Steve." Eleanor smiled at the first Avenger as he sat down across from her, she had remembered what he liked to eat in the mornings if he could. So she decided to treat him considering everything that was going on at the moment, "I remember. It's probably no where near as good as she cooked, but it was the closest I could find. I also brought us some more snacks and clothes," She told him as she had let him have a lay in that morning, however she guessed that he didn't enjoy it as much as she did. It was clear that he wasn't getting much sleep, she woke up last night to pee and found him using her laptop to search for anything that could relate to Bucky.

Sadly they hadn't had any luck with finding the Winter Soldier and it was taking a toll on Steve, "You need to sleep more. We will find him, Steve. It may take us some time, but we will find him." She promised him knowing exactly how he was feeling, she didn't know her parents or remember them. They had both died on a mission when she was barely four years old, many agents helped raise her but Nick Fury was the main one who took care of her and made her who she was today.

Taz frowned softly as he dipped just the tip of his plastic spoon into his yogurt and took it back out, he bent the spoon and then had the yogurt fly and land on Bucky's cheek in a soft splat, just a couple of small specks. "You suck and don't know what you're talking about" Taz said with his nose up in the air and turning away from Bucky as if the other had made him really upset. His father smiled as he came around and kissed Fiona on the cheek,"Be good Taz, all of you be safe alright," he said as he ruffled taz's already messy hair, a charming and aged smile on his face before he patted Bucky on the shoulder as a good bye. His father always had a good judge in people and so when he brought someone somewhere so private as their home everyone knew to just trust in him and the person, so when his dad brought Bucky, the actual myth the Winter Soldier here, no one questioned his dad.

"Alright sweethearts, make sure to always be on your toes yeah, even at home, and don't fucking thrown knifes in the living area, we have a room for that, don't hurt each other" His mother said as she fixed her slipped her jacket on and his father went back over to her,"Thank you love, good luck on keeping sane with those two" Taz's mom said to Bucky before the older couple left. Taz sent Bucky a slightly annoyed look before he extended his leg out further so he could continue to bother Bucky with his cold toes.
Although it didn't taste exactly like his mothers meals it still tasted amazing and he couldn't fault the food for not being the same. He long ago learned that foods have been changed and not everything was made the same and recipes differed from person to person. He really appreciated Eleanor's kindness, if she wasn't around Steve was sure he wouldn't be taking care of himself properly. He remembered when Bucky 'died' he spent days in a bar trying to get drunk but because of the serum he simply couldn't, he felt like he was drunk though, out of his body and alone. It was almost as hard as his mothers death, and nothing like death came easy.

"That's very kind of you Eleanor, and yeah, I hope so," he murmured, moving the food around his plate for a few seconds before he decided to suck it up and just eat and get on with the day. There was no use in him mopey around with a bad attitude, he didn't want to put Eleanor off and he knew better than to be sour."Don't they sell pills that help with sleeping now? With all of this fancy stuff going on I think they should by now" he said rubbing his chin softly. There was a lot of stuff he couldn't even believe they had now, like touch screen refrigerators and those fancy little thin tabs that you could search stuff on the internet with nearly anywhere.

Bucky knew how difficult things were going to be without the couple who knew their children much better than he did, while he had been staying there, he had been left alone with Taz and Fiona only once. He was so grateful when the mission ended and their parents had arrived home, he had nearly gone insane from the short period of time he spent alone with the siblings. Though he tried to keep the house in order as a thank you for letting him stay, for letting him heal in somewhere so safe and welcoming. He frowned slightly as he wiped the yogurt from his cheek, only to feel the coldness from Taz's toes press to his warm leg. He took a few more large mouthfuls of his breakfast, it wasn't long before he had finished and stood up. He gave Taz a small grin knowing he couldn't press his cold toes to his leg anymore, it was something they did every morning.

He carried his plate over to the kitchen and placed it into the dishwasher, something he still couldn't get his mind around. How did a machine wash dishes and make them so clean? "Any plans for today?" He asked mostly Fiona, he knew Taz would give him a smart ass comment and usually did even if Bucky wasn't talking to him. He had grown to expect like comments and actions from the other, something that he actually didn't mind.
Eleanor watched as Steve pushed his food around before he did eat more, "It's what friends do for each other. I wish I could do more for you, Bucky is out there somewhere and we will find him. I just don't know how long it'll take," She told him honestly, she had grown up with agents so she had learnt how to track someone down easily. Though Bucky seemed to be different, if he wasn't coming into contact with people than it would take her longer to find him. So she had to trust whatever lead that was given to her, which is why they were in Maine right now.

She smiled as she looked at him, "We do have sleeping pills. But I don't think they'd work on you, with the serum and being the Super Soldier. I could always buy some tea, see if that works or you could drink some warm milk. That used to calm me down when I was little and had nightmares," She said fondly of the memory, though she also had someone that ran their fingers through her hair which also relaxed her. "I'll start searching again soon," She assumed him.

When Bucky stood up to put his dishes away Taz could not help but pout a little because his toes had started to warm from Bucky's body heat but now they were left cold once again and he sure as hell wasn't going to put any socks or pants on. He rarely actually wore clothes around the house besides his boxer briefs and a random top, sometimes a tank top sometimes a big sweater, didn't matter but pants and him? They didn't go well together, especially since he was always bounding up and down the 'house' kicking and doing stuff pants would restrict him from doing. If he really, really had to wear pants for some reason he would put on a pair of loose sweats and continue on running around and causing chaos.

He wasn't dumb. He knew Fiona took a certain interest to Bucky and sure as hell didn't seem to stop her advances so Taz easily assumed that he took an interest in her back. He didn't actually care, like the two could go fuck in the weapons room for all the damns he gave and then go and get married, but he loved bothering them."Well, I'm going to go and treat myself at the spa, get a tan and do my hair," Fiona said as she smiled sweetly at Bucky. Taz couldn't help but snort,"Since when do you do any of that," he remarked, getting up to put his cup into the dish washer. Fiona growled at him,"Since now, and what are you doing Taz? Do you have anything better besides breaking shit" Taz smiled slow and soft, as if he was annoyed by his sister,"Yeah, Brooklyn for the day"
Eleanor did enough for him, more than enough. She was very willing and helpful and Steve felt like he wouldn't have gotten very far without her or any of the others who have been kind enough to reach into their sources and find any information on Bucky from people under the radar. It was a tiring task, long hours driving and nothing felt familiar or like home. He was getting so, so tired of looking but it's only been such a short amount of time and he had so much hope that he couldn't just stop and leave Bucky, not when he knew the other was alive and roaming this land. As much as some would want him to, he wasn't going to stop, not today, tomorrow, or a month from now, he was going to find Bucky.

Steve smiled warmly at Eleanor, she was probably right but he wanted to still try. He couldn't get drunk merely because his body metabolized the toxins so quickly that they didn't have time to affect him, his body working four times faster than any humans, which was ridiculous compared to how scrawny and ill he had been before the serum. He still couldn't believe that this was his body now, and how efficient it was."Warm milk sounds nice, my ma used to try and get me to drink milk six times a day, twice for every meal, thought it'd help me grow taller and stronger" he said fondly, the memory of his ma still strong in his mind. In some ways Eleanor reminded him of her and it felt so good, he felt like he was sane that was, with little pieces of people who helped him and reminded him of his past, of a time he preferred to be back in."It's fine, don't over work yourself El,"

Bucky had to admit to himself, that he did enjoy watching the siblings bicker with each other. It reminded him of how he acted with his two older brothers and one younger brother, of course they all loved each other and protected each other but their bickered like crazy. He felt warm hearing the bickering because it felt similar to being home, his home and family weren't around anymore. In fact he didn't even know what happened to his family, his younger brother had died from illness when he was only ten years old. It was hard on the family, especially his Mother but they all pulled through. He did hate that his family thought of him dead when they all past, he wasn't however which is something they'd never know. "I am sure the spa would be a very nice treat, even if they won't be able to make you anymore beautiful." He told her which is a line that he always used to give women, though most of the time he would only date women as he had been looking for the right one at that time.

His attention was captured by a single word that Taz spoke, "You will be traveling to Brooklyn?" He asked to make sure that he heard the boy correctly, his blue eyes focused on the dark haired boy. "Would you mind taking me with you?" He asked suddenly wanting to be taken to his home, the city that he grew up in for most of his life until he joined the army of course. Deep down he knew nothing would be the same but that wasn't the point, Brooklyn was home and it could feel familiar to him if he was lucky.
Eleanor smiled brightly at Steve, "I'll keep that in mind for you. I'm sure the milk helped, perhaps the serum worked better because of all the milk she got you to drink." She said kindly knowing that someone like Steve, had to hold onto every memory that he could. Especially the memories that he had when he was the First Avenger and was in the war, she shortly finished eating her breakfast and finished her cup of coffee. She threw the container away and washed out the cup, she turned her laptop on so she could check her emails and start another day of searching. "Nonsense, I'm used to working. Besides if I ever do over work myself, I have the Super Soldier to carry me around." She smiled even though she was used to working a lot, she tended to work harder and longer because a lot of people thought she was just in SHIELD because Fury helped raise her.

She needed to prove all them wrong, she was smart and knew exactly what she was doing. She firstly checked her emails though sadly, none of her contacts had gotten back to her yet. She tucked some hair behind her ear as she tried all her usual sites and places that were normally always good to her when she was tracking someone down, she had only used the sites for SHIELD and it did feel strange for her knowing that Hydra was out there running free. She knew Steve would keep her safe if anything were to happen, but in the back of her mind she knew Hydra agents would still be looking for them.

Taz had found himself a bottled smoothie and decided to drink it since it's been there a while and there was no use in wasting food. Opening up the bottle he was taking a sip when Bucky was 'oh so smooth' with his sister and undoubtedly inflating her ego, he couldn't stop himself from chocking on the smoothie, covering his mouth as he sent Bucky a look,"Please don't hype her up Bucky, she has a big enough head as it is" Taz said with a shake of his head before his sister sent her fork flying at him, easily Taz grabbed it before it even reached him and he then tossed it into the sink even though she had been using it. Fiona murmured angry things under her breath as she got up and grabbed the fork from the sink so she could continue eating her food.

Taz was already drifting into the open laundry room right by the kitchen, the door by the fridge so he could check if he had some clothes in the dryer he could just take and slip on."Yeah Brooklyn Buck, does your old man brain remember where that is?" Taz asked absently mindlessly, searching the dryer for a pair of pants he could wear. He was always taking the piss on Bucky, never meant it in a way to hurt the others feelings as it was more teasing and off handed sarcasm."You can come if you want, just wear some sunglasses yeah, no one wants to see your ugly mug" he said just as he pulled out a pair of snug, soft black sweats and a crocodile shirt that made his eyes all the more greener. He took off his top before he pulled the clean one on and then his sweats.
Steve knew that Eleanor worked so hard, worked so hard for SHEILD and for him, always looking for leads or at her laptop, searching up as much information as she could get her hands on and in all being a savior since Steve was useless with all of the new technology. He had used Tony's phone once before, the fancy square you could touch and voice comand, it was amazing but so confusing at the same time. There was only one button after all, what could he do with just one button? He remembered having to place his finger in a dip and circle around to write the persons number, they didn't have none of these 'mobile' phones in the early 1940's, but it seemed like they sure came a long way, if Stark hologram could be anything to go by.

Looking down at his food Steve continued to take his time with it, wanting to savor it for as long as he could. He could go longer without food than normal humans and he could also eat it twice as fast but he liked to take his time, liked to enjoy it. Natasha would tease him for it, ask him if hewould want oatmeal instead."Found anything?" he asked curiously, getting up with the plate and walking over to her, sitting down at the edge of her bed and watching her work away on her laptop."It's alright if you haven't, we could just go by where the last person said they saw him and check around a bit, no harm in just checking it out" Steve supplied, wanting to get a move on and check the area. He had a feeling Bucky wouldn't be here but then it could just be his pesticmistic side coming out and he didn't want to seem grumpy in front of Eleanor who has been so good to him since he joined the Avengers.

Bucky knew that Taz was just being himself, his comments or words didn't mean anything nor did they hold any fire. He wasn't sure why someone would speak like that to another person that they weren't upset or angry with, but maybe that was just how people acted these days. He had no idea why but he wasn't from this time, so he usually just let it go but he'd ask about it one day. "Obviously some people enjoy seeing my ugly mug," He grinned as he glanced over at Fiona, she had been the one who informed him on sayings that people said now. Ugly mug being one of them, he had actually thought that it meant he had an ugly mug that was used for hot drinks. He turned to walk out of the kitchen as he headed back into his room, he changed into 'normal' clothes that had been given to him when he arrived there. He didn't actually have any sunglasses so once he had tied the laces of his boots, he made his way back to the kitchen area.

"I am ready, when you are." He spoke seeing that Taz was actually wearing clothes, it was something he wasn't used to seeing. Normally the other only wore clothes when he was going out or someone had come to the home, which wasn't all that much but it still happened at times. And he only wore clothes then because his mother told him to, something else he didn't understand because Fiona always wore clothes and so did their parents. His time had been so simple and everyone did the same thing, they worked and married and had a family. Now he saw couples living together when they hadn't gotten married, people quit their jobs much easier and he had also seen single mothers. He had been awake for a while now and he still couldn't wrap his mind around certain things.
Eleanor turned her head so she could look at Steve when he moved closer to her, she hated when she couldn't find something that she needed to. "I'm sorry, no one has gotten back to me yet." She told him quietly as her big brown eyes stayed focused on him, "We could go to the address and see if we can find anything." She told him as they didn't have time when they arrived yesterday, it was late in the afternoon and Eleanor had been tired from the traveling. Shutting her laptop she gave him a small smile, she had always found Steve attractive but knew nothing would ever happen between them. She wished something would, of course, but she highly doubted they'd be anything more than friends. She stood up and slid her gun into the holster on her jeans, grabbing the rental car keys she headed out with Steve in the passenger seat. She drove through the streets until they reached the abandoned warehouse which is the address she had been given.

She climbed out of the car and looked around, "This seems strange." She told him softly as she held onto her gun and stepped closer to the warehouse building as quietly as she possibly could, she watched as Steve opened a door and she followed him inside. She scanned the warehouse which was mostly empty, there was no sign of anyone having been there recently. "I'm sorry Steve," She whispered to him knowing this was just another dead end for them, she was beginning to get so frustrated and angry with herself. She was better than this and it should show in her work, she should have found Bucky already. She wasn't paying attention like she should have, but she thought the warehouse was empty. However it wasn't as a homeless man had been staying there for the past few months, she never expected the body that came into contact with her own as she was tackled to the hard floor. Her gun sliding across the ground and a small noise escaped her lips when pain filled her left shoulder.

Taz simply rolled his eyes when Bucky said some people liked his face. Rolling up the sleeves of his shirt Taz ignored his sister in favor of finishing off his second cup of yogurt while she sent him a glare and told him he wasn't playing fair. Taz wasn't playing at all, he didn't see whatever game Fiona saw, didn't think it was important nor did he understand it. His sister was often competitive and more than half the time Taz had no idea what the fuck she was trying to beat him at. He sure as hell hoped she wasn't trying Bucky as a game because a) he doesn't even like Bucky like that(physically he was on his knees for Bucky), and b)it's just fucking rude to do something like that, so even if he did like Bucky he wouldn't take it as a game. He was sarcastic and witty, sometimes bordering on mean but he wasn't cruel or hurtful.

Once Bucky came back Taz patted him on the chest and left to his own room so he could slip on some colorful patterned socks and a pair of white vans. He took a hair tie from his drawer, a pair of sunglasses, his cell phone, and wallet which had a couple of metro cards and enough money in cash for him to survive on the minimum-always prepared in case of anything. Coming back into the kitchen he stood behind Bucky and without telling the other he gathered up his hair and pulled it back, forming a nice bun with the hair tie."Put these sunglasses on. I'm actually going to the the botanic garden, you've gone in your time before right?" Taz asked as the gardens opened in the early 1900's, passing over the sunglasses to Bucky and then headed towards the 'bookcase', grabbing a book out and having it open up to reveal a dingy dark hall. Reaching the end of the hall Taz had to jump to shove the bars above just enough before he could use a stick he would always leave down to move the bars right off of the 'ceiling' which was the 'floor' or another room. The place they lived at was deep underground, bottom of a store, below a lab, past a wired area and then just another secret floor below.
Steve had honestly been hoping that Bucky would have been in the abandoned warehouse, of course he had been. But as they checked around there was no signs of the other and his hopes quickly decreased as usual when they were left with empty hands like this. It hadn't been that long since what happened in Manhattan, there were repairs being done and people were trying to get back to their normal lives, but there was still rubbish on the streets and buildings were still torn down and gone, leaving the citizens empty like Steve felt right this second. He couldn't and wouldn't blame anyone though, maybe Bucky had been here and just moved, maybe he had never even stepped foot in Maine, whatever it may have been it was in the past because Bucky ins't here and they ought to get a move on to somewhere else.

Looking over his shoulder Steve saw Eleanor's gun slide across the ground and a man with tattered clothing and long hair on top of her. He was quick to react, single handedly grabbing the old man from the back of his thin jacket and yanking him off. The old man was of no threat, not with his skinny arms and missing teeth, eyes wide and wild. If anything he reminded Steve of himself when he didn't have the serum, well, he smelled better than the homeless man who reeked of alcohol and was moving his balled up fist around as if he was trying to ready himself to fight Steve but he was wobbly on his feet and Steve didn't have it in him to punch him in the face when he was a disaster, probably had just gotten luck in pushing Eleanor. Instead of hurting the other Steve dodged a swing and shoved him into a pile of empty boxes.

Turning back to El he walked over to her gun and picked it up before he placed his hand on the small of her back and asked if she was alright, though the homeless man didn't look too big with enough force he could knock even people twice as heavy as him."It's okay, was just a homeless man, no fatal injuries?"

Bucky stood there stiff while Taz pulled his hair back into a bun, he took the sunglasses and slid them into place on his face. He wasn't used to not having his hair in his face, though it was a lot better as now his vision wouldn't become blocked by his dark hair. He followed Taz through the bookcase as they both made their way through all the secret rooms until finally making it outside, he had grown to be used to going through all that and he understood completely. If this hadn't happened to him and he didn't fall from the train, he wouldn't want to be involved in the army or be near SHIELD if he found someone to love and start a family with. He wouldn't want his loved ones to ever be in any danger, however he highly doubted that would happen now. He wasn't exactly husband or father material, it hurt to think like that but it was reality. No one would want a man with a metal arm and who has killed people in the way he has, having been told to end someone's life in cold blood. The dark tint on the sunglasses helped to keep the sun from hurting his eyes, he looked around and inhaled a deep breath of free air.

"Yes, I have been to the botanic garden. What made you want to go today? And don't say something rude about your sister," He spoke in his deep smooth voice, he knew Taz now and was beginning to learn how his mind worked. He hadn't chosen that but living so closely to people, it was bound to happen sooner or later. The same thing was happening with Fiona as well, those two were the ones he spent the most time with out of the family of four. He had grabbed a jacket before heading out, so he could wear something that covered his metal arm. He didn't really think people wanted to see that, also this way it was easier to pretend that he wasn't the Winter Soldier. It stopped people from coming after him if he didn't appear to look like himself, covering up helped greatly with keeping people off his back.
Eleanor stood up and brushed her jeans off in case any of the dirt got stuck to her clothing, (no scarf). She looked at Steve and took her gun from his hand, "I'm fine. I just didn't seen him there," She told him as a pink flush appeared on her cheeks, she was embarrassed that a homeless man had taken her down. She glanced behind Steve and saw the man laying in the pile of boxes, "We should go." She was also beating herself up over the fact that they hadn't gotten a single good lead, Bucky couldn't have gotten this far in the time since he fought Steve. Not with how he was after Steve tried to get him to remember who he truly was, he couldn't get himself all the way out to Maine on his own. He most likely had never even been anywhere near Maine, turning Eleanor walked back the way they had come and climbed back into the car.

"I'm really sorry, Steve. I don't know why finding Bucky is so hard," She admitted to him once he had sat beside her in the rental car, she didn't even want to look at him because all she has been doing is dragging him around to different cities. No lead had worked out and now they had nothing again, she had never been so stuck in her life. Working with SHIELD had tough times, but she always received a lead or new information about the people she needed to find. But Bucky was different and she was so frustrated with herself.

Bucky honestly looked so good with his hair back, tied up in a bun behind his hair with just the spare few strands loose not that he didn't look good normally, but the sort of man bun looked so good on him Taz had to bite his tongue from saying it out loud. He would have given Bucky a compliment but he didn't want to give the upper hand of knowing that both siblings found him attractive, now that would just be unfair. Shoving his hands into the pockets of his sweats Taz lead the other down the street where one of the stations laid beneath the streets. The streets were crowded with people coming and going, cops at the corner writing a ticket, students catching a bus, an elder couple holding hands and trying to cross the street, and cars honking like there was no tomorrow.

"Oi, calm down there Buck, I'm not gonna insult your girlfriend alright, jeez," Taz grumbled with a roll of his eyes. He wasn't always on his sisters back, most of the time she was the one starting it and Taz wasn't the type of person to stand back, he had a mouth on him and he wasn't afraid to use it."They've got this butterfly garden area they open seasonally and it's gonna close soon so I wanna check it out before it does" he explained, not afraid of telling the other that he wanted to see some butterflies. His mother would often tease him since he liked some of the simplest and overlooked things but Taz couldn't help himself, flowers made him happy, butterflies were beautiful, ice cream is the best thing on Earth, and anything tie dyed he is in love with."It's gonna be so cool man, the butterflies just like sit on you and stuff, maybe we could find some dead ones too"
"That's alright, he was surprisingly quiet" Steve said as he took a glance behind him to make sure the other hand't gotten back onto his feet, the homeless man was resting on the ground seemingly unconscious and completely out of it."I'm shocked he even managed to take you down, woman in SHIELD are built like rocks" he said not faulting Eleanor for not having known the other was here because not even Steve had noticed the man and Steve was always alert, the homeless man must have had some luck, but clearly not enough. Lowering his shield back down he followed after Eleanor, keeping his attention partly on her and the rest for their surroundings, if one had managed to get past their first look out then perhaps another could as well and Steve wasn't going to allow Eleanor to get hurt again, not even a scratch.

Taking his seat beside of her Steve pulled on his seat belt and kept his shied by his legs."Eleanor it's okay,"

It honestly was to Steve. It wasn't like he had expected them to go to one state and find Bucky just hiding out. He knew this was going to be a hard job, knew that there were going t o be empty leads and moments when they had just missed him and he was prepared for it. He wasn't going to fool himself with finding Bucky in the span of a week, a month, or even half a year because he knew the other was smart and if he didn't want to be found then he wasn't going to be."It's not your fault, so don't feel bad, he's trained to hide and be discreet, I'm sure this will be harder than, what is it called? That game with the guy and the stripped hat? Where is Mario right, it'll be harder than that"

Bucky wasn't really sure about the bun that Taz had pulled his hair into, his hair had never been tied out of his face before so he wasn't really sure about it. But Taz wasn't saying anything bad about it, so it had to look okay, right? He didn't bother asking because it was helping him see better and it wasn't getting in his way or annoying him, like it did at times before, especially when he had been fighting people. His eyes glanced around at all the different people that were walking around on the streets, some people were rushing around quickly which made him feel like he was getting in their way. "Why are people moving so fast?" He asked Taz as he didn't understand, now he wasn't the most reliable when it came to him being somewhere on time. But he wasn't so bad that he had to run to get somewhere on time, he was usually only a few minutes late if he was late to anything at all.

"Fiona, isn't my girlfriend. You know this, Taz." He told him seriously although he didn't really need to, Taz wasn't stupid and it was obvious that his sister wasn't Bucky's girlfriend. He wasn't interested in becoming romantically engaged with anyone, that wasn't what he was meant to do. He was suppose to be a killing or fighting machine, although now that he wasn't in Hydra's grasp anymore he could do whatever he wanted. He had slowly realised that not everyone was after him, it did take him some time though but Taz's parents were very patient with him. He looked at Taz, "Why would you want to see dead butterflies? You like butterflies so much, shouldn't you like them more alive?" He asked her as that only made more sense, at least it made sense to him at least.
Eleanor knew that Steve was only trying to cheer her up, "I guess I'm not built like a rock," She was able to put a small smile on her face, even if she still did feel bad that they hadn't come across Bucky yet. She looked at him and she did know that if Bucky didn't want to be found, then no matter how hard she worked, she wouldn't be able to find him. "It's Where is Waldo and I hated that game, it took me forever to find him and then I had to go onto the next page." She hold him honestly, although even when she tried to find Waldo, she eventually did find him so she was never hard on herself about that game. "I just feel like we should have come across something already, could Bucky really get this far in the short period of time?" She asked even though she knew that neither of them had the answer.

A soft sigh passed through her lips as she shook off how she was feeling, she pulled the seat belt across her body and started the engine of the car. She pulled away from the warehouse and glanced over to Steve for only a few seconds, "I guess we could try to enjoy our time here. No one has gotten back to me yet, we could go see the sights or find the mall." She suggested as they shouldn't waste the day, they'd probably never be back in Maine and they could spend a couple of hours just enjoying themselves.

"Because they have places to be, and honestly, New York transportation ins't very reliable so it's best to go early" Taz explained as they headed down the stairs into the subway station where it was a little more crowded, people swiping their cards and some kids waiting for the emergency door to open so they could slip in without paying two fifty. Taking out his wallet he took out two metro cards and passed Bucky one of them, he expected the other to know how to use it considering it's been around for more than a hundred years but then again maybe Bucky hadn't had the need of taking the train. Swiping his own metro Taz went past the bars and headed towards the sign with bold 'Brooklyn' in white. "Mhm, whatever you say there buddy," Taz knew the two weren't together but he knew that when Fiona had someone in her sight she nearly always had them.

"I don't know how to explain it but like, I will still like them when they're dead, I like them alive but just because they're dead I'm not gonna ignore them," He explained just as the train wizzes past them and comes to a slow stop, the doors opening and people filling out in large masses since this was one of the biggest and most popular stops."It's gonna be epic, a hope one lands on your nose," Taz said as he took the window seat at the empty two seaters,"When was the last time you've even gone back to Brooklyn?" Taz asked curiously, tilting his head and smiling casually at Bucky, his smile lazy and warm, still a little sleepy in his jumper and warm.
Steve found that game to be ridiculously hard and he honestly didn't like it, especially the very hard page where everyone is dressed as Waldo and it was nearly impossible to find the specific character. Natasha found it hilarious to see Steve struggling to find the little guy, and Tony enjoyed recording him in attempts, and when he had Bruce play it he always tried to get the other mad while it was happening in hopes of The Hulk coming out.

"I think he could," Steve mumbled, he clearly didn't know this Bucky, Winter Soldier Bucky, but from what he has seen he believe that Bucky, if he wanted too, could be in California by now and that was his biggest fear. He wasn't going to stop looking for Bucky but he hoped this chase wasn't going to take him ten years, he wanted his best friend now, not in a decade."He's always been smart," Steve said with a distant look in his eyes, he was trying to not dive too deep into this but it was hard when it was so personal, when it was Bucky. Clearing his throat Steve took out his phone, some strange touchscreen that Tony gave him, and checked the time quickly, it was still early on in the day and it would be a shame if they just left after such a short amount of time here. Steve hasn't even been in this state before, not seventy years ago and definitely not recently. "Yeah, that sounds good, are there any attractions here we could check out?" Steve asked curiously as he pocketed his cell phone.

Bucky had taken the metro card from Taz's hand, he watched Taz swipe his card before following through the gate. He had only been on the subway a couple of times, but back then they didn't have these fancy cards that you swipe. No you had to buy a ticket and show it to a guard before getting through, he did stay close to Taz as they made their way onto the train. He didn't want to get lost in that amount of people, it was actually scary to even think about not being able to find Taz or losing sight of him. He sat down on the chair that Taz had found empty, he glanced around at the other people rushing onto the train and quickly grabbing any empty seat that they could. It certainly wasn't this hectic and he did miss the old days, everything was so much different back then and he was more comfortable in that century. Sadly, he didn't know what Fiona was like. He flirted with her here and there, which he knew he shouldn't as he wasn't overly interested with her. But it felt nice for him to have someone interested in him.

Bucky kind of understood where Taz was coming from with the butterflies, they would all be beautiful but he assumed that seeing alive ones flying around would be much better to watch. "I guess, but you can watch alive ones fly around." He pointed out but if that is what Taz liked, than he was allowed to. "I doubt one will land on my nose, surely they wouldn't get that close to people." He had no idea as he hadn't been to see the butterflies before, he didn't know what to expect really. "Not since I was helped and frozen," He told the other as he couldn't remember why he was out in the snow to start with, how he had broken his arm so badly was a memory he wanted back but couldn't find in his mind.
Eleanor knew that Bucky was a trained solider from when he was best friends with Steve, he was probably still using everything he knew back then in this day and age. Meaning it would make him all that much harder for Eleanor to find him, but it was a task that she wouldn't be giving up on. SHIELD wasn't fully running so she had nothing else to do with her time, helping out Steve was giving her something to focus on and she was grateful for that. "I think there's plenty to do around here," She smiled when she noticed Steve checking the time on his phone, she still needed to help him with it at times. He'd press the wrong buttons or wouldn't know how to fix something he did, but Fury had told him that he needed to get used to everything that the world had now. She took a right turn as she had heard about a really nice spot in Maine, it was Boothbay Harbor, she had been told about it when she had stopped to fill the car up with gas.

It was a little bit of a drive but it wasn't overly long, she parked the car and climbed out. Locking the doors before she begun to walk along the wooden pier with Steve beside her, the little area was popular with tourists and she saw signs for all different kinds of water activities which she wasn't really interested in. She wasn't the biggest fan of being on the water, unless she knew for sure that it was completely safe. She saw a line of numerous stores, from antique shops, galleries and stores selling everything from jewelry and pottery to books. "It's beautiful here," She smiled as she looked around at everything they passed.

Taz couldn't hold back a chuckle, tilting his head off to the side as he looked up at Bucky,"You're gonna be in for a shock then loser," He told the other before he reached out and dug his fingers into Bucky's side. The exhibit was pretty much a glass dome people walked into and butterflies flied freely around, landing on the flowers and trees planted inside, grazing humans and sucking on their food, Taz has watched videos of people standing still with food in their hands and butterflies coming to them, fucking fearless. He was absolutely in love with the gardens, whenever he had free time he would go and waste hours taking pictures of pretty flowers and some of the animals that skipped around.

"Hey, after the butterflies if you remember we could walk around your neighborhood, I mean like if you'll be okay with it. I understand if it triggers you though," His voice went unnaturally gentle between them, just a soft whisper against Bucky's shoulder since Taz couldn't reach the others ear. Even to this day, eight years later, he can't even stand to hear the word 'Argentina' without wanting to curl up and simply die-- it wasn't home to him anymore, never really was."No pressure, yeah Buck?" Taz asked as his hand laid on Bucky's thigh rather innocently, he wasn't trying to get anywhere, he was like his sister all of her actions had something something behind them that weren't so much for others but her own gain.
Steve knew that he was on the borderline of obsessing over Bucky and find him and he knew it wasn't healthy or a good choice and so he was going to at least try not to second look any males with long dark hair or blue eyes because then he would miss out on everything else going on, and he didn't want to seem like he was stuck on it. Trying to focus on anything besides this wild chase Steve found himself staring out of the window with a look of utter confusion, he's never seen a place like this, having always been a city kid his entire life and so there open grounds with spaces between actual houses and rather less crowded streets was strange.

He wasn't sure why but once they were parked and there was masses of bodies going about their day he felt at ease. Following closely after Eleanor Steve made sure to be a step or two behind her since he had no idea where they were heading nor did he want to lose sight of her and find himself lost in the middle of a wooden pier."It's very nice" he commented, automatically eyeing people in the crowd as if one of them could be an enemy. He had to stop himself once he found an old lady looking at him funnily."What is this place?" he asked, unsure of what people now a days would call it. It looked interesting though and many people were having fun, kids running around and water splashing everywhere, laughter was loud and it smelled sickly sweet of sugar.

Bucky had only heard about a place like this, he hadn't actually ever been to one nor did he know what exactly you did inside it. But it did sound very beautiful so he was looking forward to it, it sounded like a place where people could relax and be calm which he definitely needed. Ever since he was defrosted he never had time to be calm, but he knew now that it wasn't him. It was the people that were surrounding him, they wanted missions done and that's all they wanted him for. He couldn't see that before as they were controlling him and wouldn't let him feel any emotions, other than power and anger. He was glad that he wasn't around those horrible people anymore, he was free and could do whatever he wanted now.

He was slightly surprised by Taz's question, he wasn't sure how to answer him as Bucky hadn't thought about going home. Or at least back to his neighborhood, he never had time before but he did now so he could go back. "I think I'd like that," He told the younger boy who was leaning into him, it wasn't strange between them as it usually happened when Taz was getting sleepy and wanted to be extra comfortable. He assumed that he'd be alright seeing his home, he knew it wouldn't be the same because nothing was the same to what he remembered. But it would still be familiar and that could help him remember everything that he had been made to forget.
Eleanor smiled as her eyes wandered around the little dock area, it was really beautiful and she could easily see herself staying in a place like this. She wasn't sure if she could live somewhere this quiet, she had always lived in a big city. She'd need to have hobbies if she were to live somewhere like this, "I think it was a busy dock where products were brought in by ships. But now it's a little town that people call home," She told Steve as she glanced over her shoulder at him, she saw how tense he still was and how he was eyeing people in case an enemy suddenly appeared and started to attack them. "You can relax now, Steve. No one will attack us here," She assured him quietly as she didn't want him to be this tense.

She wasn't even sure if he knew how to relax, ever since she first met him she hadn't seen him relaxing or even taking time off away from SHIELD or the Avengers. It had to be taking a hard toll on him, but she wouldn't have a clue if holidays or days off were a thing back when he was born. If it wasn't than she'd make sure that Steve found out, after the fight that had just happened he did deserve it.

"Alright, awesome, we caN head on over after the butterflies then." Taz said before giving Bucky's thigh a gentle squeeze and then pulling his hand away. The train wasn't very crowded since the last stop more people got off than on. There was a group of teenagers just a seat or two away from them, some elders at the back, and some workers sprawled across a seat or two with their bags on the ground. There was a couple of people standing and as Taz glanced around he spotted a buff man glancing over at them, more so at Bucky with curiosity. Eyeing the person Taz casually curled one hand around Buckky's bicep and then laid his other hand over Bucky's metal hand, covering it from sight as he laid his head against the others shoulder, pressing in close to his side.

"Gonna be fun I think, some parts of Brooklyn haven't changed too much besides renovations" Taz mumbles, keeping his gaze 'out the window' when in reality he was watching the older man at the pole. Taz was always on edge, always thinking the worst, and always ready. His mother thought he was a little too sharp while his father understood why Taz was always doubting and side eyeing people, no one could ever be too safe."Could go out for some dinner too? Been a while since we done anything romantic" he sighed, raising his voice just a little so that the girls by them would giggling and glance over--Taz and Bucky looking like a normal couple which gave them good coverage. No one wants to star at a same sex couple in new york, come off as rude and then have all their allies at their back."Hope you're not homophobic Buck, play along" he murmurs against the others ear.
Steve smiled weakly at Eleanor. It's been a while that he has been hanging around with her, and he knew by now Eleanor knew him rather well-- his ticks and stances, what 'mode' he was in. He was always so stiff and he felt bad because Eleanor was so kind with him, always at his side and willing to help. She was quick on her feet and she knew how to get information faster than Steve could even process."Yeah, I guess so, but don't feel like I could trust anyone but you, you know?" Steve asked as he walked beside her now. He had never been very good with talking to woman in general, or people really, not since the serum, but he knew he could try. Things have gotten a little easier as the time went by and the Avengers supported him.

"I'm sorry Eleanor, it's just been a bit rough. Let's do one of these things yeah? They look like fun, never seen any of these sort of stuff before, not at Coney Island" Smiling tenderly Steve wrapped his arm around Eleanor's shoulder and tugged her close, there was something familiar about her. He hated to say it but she reminded him of his mother, and it pained him sometimes to think of her since he missed her so much."Think you got a good arm for that game?" Steve pointed off to the tent where bottles were piled into a pyramid, the point was to shot all three of them down and get a prize.

Buckywas slowly beginning to feel better about visiting his old neighborhood, he knew that it would be good for him. Hopefully it would bring back some of his memories, he wondered if Captain America would be in any of them. It was clear that the man knew him, but Bucky just couldn't remember who he was and for some reason he felt bad about that. "That will be nice," He stated to Taz as his blue eyes stayed stay ahead of him, he had already scanned the people that were sitting and standing around them. It was a habit of his but it was obvious even if something was started with him or Taz, he would be the one who would won. He felt as Taz moved closer to him and used his own hand to cover his metal hand, something that the other had only done a few other times when they had been out in public. Taz had told him that it wasn't common for someone to have a metal arm, which did make Bucky try to hide it as much as he could.

His brows pulled together slightly as he turned to look at Taz, "Why would I play along? We've never told anything romantic," He lowered his voice so only Taz would hear him, he didn't know what was going on but there was something in Taz's eyes that made him bury his nose into his dark hair. "Dinner does sound very nice, maybe we could take a stroll afterwards as well." He spoke a little louder much like Taz had done, why they were acting that way was beyond Bucky but Taz would have a reason. Even if they were together, their plans were no one's business but he did notice the group of girls were smiling and whispering amongst themselves.
Eleanor smiled as Steve finally fell into step with her, "I know and you don't have to trust anyone else. But you still don't have to give innocent people that look, if I got that look than I'd know to stay away from you." She smiled as she looked at him, she felt better knowing that Steve was putting his complete trust in her. It would make everything much easier but she had trusted Steve a long time ago, she knew that it was harder for him to trust others and become close with him. Eleanor didn't blame him for that as he has been through so much, more than anyone could ever imagine. Then he wrapped his arm around her shoulders and pulled her in closer to him, she couldn't stop the warm fuzzy feeling that encased her whole body from being that close to him.

She looked over at the game that he had pointed out, "You know I'm not the best when it comes to throwing. But I'll give it my best shot," She smiled as they stepped over to the game, she gave the slightly older man enough money for a game. She held the balls in her hands and aimed as well as she could, she threw the ball but only hit the top bottle which fell off. She sighed when the two other bottles stayed standing, so she took another shot when the bottles were stacked back up. This time she hit the top and left bottles which did fall, but the last one didn't fall down although it did wobble slightly. "I guess I don't have the arm for it," She smiled as she wasn't too bothered that she didn't win a prize.
