(Sorry if it's short; I'm terrible with starters!)

Damon looked ahead as he waited for Ronnie to do her spell. Enzo was missing and he couldn't even begin to figure out where Enzo had gone off to. Enzo had every right to be angry at him, he knew that, but Enzo had been a good friend to him. But, then, he wondered if Enzo was worth this. Ronnie looked exhausted, likely from having to do so many spells. Seeing it made him feel terrible for her, even if they weren't really close anymore.
With her classes at college over for the day, the only thing Aria had to do was go home and get ready for hunting that night. The problem was that she really didn't want to. Instead, she wanted to relax for once. Having only recently learned that her best friend was a vampire, the very thing that she hunted, she just needed a breather. She wanted to forget everything and pretend, for once, that she was actually normal, but she doubted that was possible.

    [That's great XD]

Damon was the last person she expected to turn up her dorm this afternoon, she was exhausted and was constantly feeling drained after she spent all night helping Jeremy and Tyler with some supernatural stuff. Ronnie was in half the mind to turn Damon away but he seemed desperate to look for Enzo so she couldn't help but let him in. As Ronnie performed the locator spell she could barely focus and she wasn't sure if she was doing it right. After the third attempt at the spell she felt very faint and had to stop the spell. "Damon, I can't do the spell. I am exhausted, if you are desperate Liv might do the spell for you," sighed Ronnie as she blew out the candles, she doubted that Liv would help Damon.

Stefan felt somewhat guilty as he promised he would let Aria have her breathing space after the whole I'm a vampire, I'm a hunter thing. But here he was waiting in her dorm room, Stefan felt empty without having Aria there and he just wanted to make sure she was okay. Stefan knew she wouldn't be too long, her spare timetable showed her classes finished minutes ago. Stefan just hoped Aria wouldn't be too mad at him so turning up unannounced.

    (I'm glad!)

Damon wasn't sure how to respond to her words and he stared at her for a long moment. "Liv wouldn't help me," he said honestly, knowing he and Liv weren't on great terms. He didn't even like the pretend newbie, she was a bit obnoxious, in his opinion. "How long until you can try again?" Sure, he could let her rest. That didn't mean that he was going to give up on having her help him, because he needed this done soon, before Enzo hated him too much. "I just need it done, Ronnie. The sooner you do it, the sooner you'll never have to see me again."
Walking across campus, it didn't take too long for Aria to get to the dorm building. Making her way inside, she went straight to her dorm. Upon entering, she blinked in surprise with the sight that greeted her. "Stefan," she breathed out, admittedly a little relieved, but then, she wondered if something was wrong, if he was here to end their friendship entirely. Shaking her head, she reminded herself that this was Stefan, he wasn't like that. "Is something wrong?"

Ronnie knew deep down Liv wouldn't help Damon, Damon was hardly a likable person at the best of times so his personality did not rub off well on Liv. Ronnie stood from the floor and picked up some of the candles. "I don't know Damon," she replied honestly, "I can't remember the last time I had a decent night's sleep and I am behind on some papers for college." Ronnie wanted to help but if she wasn't well, spells were not going to happen anytime soon. "And what makes you think I don't want to see you again?" frowned Ronnie, she knew Damon and her were no longer close but she didn't hate the guy.

Stefan quickly stood up from the bed as he heard the door click to open. He knew he got Aria but surprise with her reaction. "I'm sorry about turning up unannounced but there is nothing wrong, I just wanted to well talk to you," explained Stefan. It was half a lie, Enzo had disappeared but he doubted Aria would be willing to help as he too was a vampire. "It just weird us not talking."

Damon stared at her for a long moment before he let out a quiet sigh. "Looks like we've all got a lot to deal with lately," he drawled, though it was his way of portraying that he understood that she was busy and probably stressed. He tried to avoid thinking too much about it, though. Her later words, though, surprised him. Quirking a brow, he eyed her, then lifted his shoulders in a shrug. "Perhaps the fact that we haven't been on the best terms lately," he chimed as if it were obvious. Their friendship had fallen apart and, admittedly, it was probably his fault.
Aria listened to him until he finished talking. Then, unexpectedly, even to her, she made her way over to him and wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug. "It is weird," she agreed quietly, chewing on her lip as she ignored all the instincts ingrained in her mind that told her hugging Stefan, a vampire, was ridiculous. "I'm so sorry, Stefan."

Ronnie just rolled her eyes at Damon as she returned the candles to their proper place on top of her drawers. "And we know whose fault that is don't we?" came Ronnie sharp reply. The whole drifting apart happened gradually and Ronnie did blame Damon for it (as well as Elena). Ronnie felt that because Elena confessed her love for Damon, he decided their friendship was no longer important and she had been bitter about it ever since. Ronnie was still not on the best terms with Elena but because they had to share a dorm she made it work. "Is there anything else you require or are you just going to wait to see Elena?" asked Ronnie, she had no clue what Elena and Damon status was, she chose to keep out of it.

Stefan was caught a little by surprise when Aria arms quickly wrapped around him, his arms followed suit. "Very weird," agreed Stefan as he ignored the warning signals in his head, "And it is probably going to get a lot more weird." Stefan was unaware if Aria knew about everyone else. He hoped that she didn't, because knowing that a majority of his friends were vampires would probably make Aria feel more uneasy than she already was. Stefan had yet to mention to Damon why he and Aria weren't talking but Damon was dealing with his own problems at the moment. "I'm sorry Aria, hopefully we can get through this, it is weird not having you around," sighed Stefan.

Of course, Damon knew the reason why their friendship had broken apart, but he didn't want to admit that at all. He had dealt with handling enough guilt for one lifetime, he didn't want more guilt on his plate, honestly. "Elena and I are on the outs," he chimed with a smirk that was supposed to be amused, but seemed a bit more distant. Elena had stolen his heart, but things weren't the same anymore. Ever since Bonnie died, things had been complicated between the two of them and it was pretty difficult to handle. Regardless, their relationship wasn't working out anymore. "So, what's it like sharing a room with somebody that you dislike so much?" he asked, his smirk more realistic this time.
Aria nodded in agreement before she sighed and released her hold on him. "Well, it's not like I'm not used to weird," she attempted to joke, but it was true. Considering the past few years of her life had been spent hunting supernaturals, despite that she hated it quite a bit, she had gotten used to anything considered as weird. Moving to sit down on her bed, she stared down at her hands on her lap. "What if things don't go back to how they used to be, Stefan?" Ever since they found out about each other's secrets, things had been tense between them. It was frustrating, because he had been there for her ever since she first met him and she didn't want to lose that.

Ronnie was somewhat happy to hear that Damon and Elena were on the way out. It wasn't jealousy it was more about being right and Ronnie loved being right. Damon's question couldn't help but make Ronnie smile as she turned to face him, she was not surprised by the smirk on his face. "I haven't killed her yet," replied Ronnie with a small laugh, but the laugh quickly died down, "I am only doing this for Care's sake. I try to be out of the room as much as possible when she is here." Ronnie used to be close to Elena but not as close as Bonnie and Caroline, she always got the vibe off Elena that she wasn't welcomed. "I say I haven't killed her but I did try to last week, I got banned from the dorm for a few hours 'to calm down'," explained Ronnie. Ronnie temper was not an asset, it often caused problems and sometimes interfered with her magic.

Stefan smiled at little at Aria's poor joke, there was not such thing as normal in their lives no matter how much they wanted it. Stefan watched as Aria moved to the bed and he took a seat next to her and listened. Stefan wanted things to go back to normal but it looked unlikely. "I doubt things will be back to how they were," admitted Stefan, "Over the next few days a lot of things are probably going to happen and I don't want to lose our friendship because of it." Stefan thought it was best not to mention that Enzo was currently AWOL along with many other supernatural problems, it was only going to cause more tension between him and Aria.

"Well, of course you haven't killed her yet," Damon drawled with slight amusement. If that had been the case, he wouldn't receive constant calls from Elena, calls that he often ignored and dodged because he wasn't entirely sure how to handle this bump in the road of their relationship. Back in Mystic Falls, things had been easier for them, but, now, with her being at this university, everything seemed a lot more difficult. "So, you tried to kill her? How exactly did you do that?" He figured she probably tried to do so with a spell or magic, but he wondered if she had actually tried to stake Elena and wondered how that would have played out.
Aria wasn't entirely sure how to handle Stefan's words, but she did know one thing: like Stefan, she didn't want to lose their friendship, either. Lifting her gaze to him, she offered him a small, hesitant smile and nodded. "Then, we won't lose our friendship," she decided firmly, because their friendship was one of the most important things to her. She knew that was wrong, since she was a hunter and he was a vampire. And it would probably be next to impossible to maintain a relationship, but she absolutely refused to lose it, not when it meant so much to her. "No matter what happens, we won't lose our friendship. Promise?"

"I was doing a spell with fire and directed Elena's way. Caroline was less than impressed." Ronnie replied with a smile on her face, she remember how annoyed her cousin was but Ronnie felt a lot better about the whole situation. It was hard for Ronnie to get on with Elena they had said some harsh things to each over and they both refused to take them back no matter how much Caroline pleaded. "I'll just stake her next time, much easier," mused Ronnie with a smile still upon her face.

Stefan nodded his head in agreement, "Promise, no matter what shit is thrown our away we will stay friends." Stefan would try his hardest to keep this promise because over time he really valued his friendship with Aria. Even though the next few weeks would be hard as everything came creeping out of the wood work. The hunter vs vampire thing would cause a few eyebrows to raise especially Damon when he found out but Stefan would deal with that one step at a time. "Since we have sort of made up, do you want to go somewhere to eat?" Stefan asked with a smile, he wasn't feeling staying in all day.

Damon, admittedly, was a bit impressed with the news because most people didn't cross family to do what they wanted when they were angry - except himself and, apparently, Ronnie. "I'd applaud your attempt but I can't help but wonder if you even came close to enveloping her with the fire," he teased, smirking slightly before shaking his head, just a bit. "But, staking her would be much easier - not that I'm encouraging that, of course." But, in a way, he was. He shouldn't, since he and Elena had been together for a while, but even he found her frustrating, a lot.
Aria was more than relieved to hear him agree to the promise and the relief was evident in the breath she let out before she nodded. She didn't want to lose her friend at all, even with the knowledge of him being a vampire. Blinking, she looked at him and nodded slightly. "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea," she decided with a grin. Of course, she knew she probably shouldn't since she was supposed to go home to hunt with her parents, as usual, but she could come up with an excuse for that later. "Let's go, yeah?" she asked before standing up.

Ronnie shrugged, "I had a bad week and Elena just added to my anger but like I said I will take the stake next time." Ronnie knew deep down that she wouldn't go out her way to harm Elena but Ronnie's anger was less than predictable at the best of times. It was around this time Ronnie felt hunger strike her, it would be best if she had something to eat. "I'm hungry, so I am going to have something to eat and then I try the spell again," explained Ronnie as she picked up her jacket and purse from her bed, "Are you coming or are you going to sit in this dorm room like some moody angry vampire, oh wait you already are one," laughed Ronnie as she slipped her jacket on.

Stefan stood up and headed to Aria's door opening and letting her go through first. "Aria, I just want to make something clear," began Stefan as they walked, "I'd never hurt you, you know that right. It is not who I am." Stefan did not want her to worry about him turning on her. Stefan despite his flaws always tired to walk the straight path as a vampire. If their friendship did go from strength to strength, maybe Stefan would tell Aria about his ripper past but right now it wasn't worth the risk. Stefan glanced at Aria to see her reaction, he hoped his words had not worried her.

Damon arched an eyebrow before leaning forward with a smirk and shrugging. "Well, if you wanted to enjoy my perfect presence longer, you should have just said so," he chimed before he made his way over to the door, opening it. Looking back at her, he shrugged. "But, sure, I'll join you. I shouldn't deprave you of my company any longer than I already have, right?" Shrugging, he leaned against the doorframe while he waited for her. "Besides, it looks like you could use a bit of energy, hm?"
His words surprised her and Aria looked up at him. "Stefan, if you were going to hurt me, you would have done so when I told you I was a hunter," she told him honestly before she offered a small smile. Turning to the door, she made sure to lock it, though she hoped her roommates had their keys. Heading down the hallway towards the exit, she glanced back at him. "I know you better than to assume you'd hurt me now when you already had a chance to."

Ronnie did up her coat as she watched Damon lean against the doorframe. "Just because we are going to get something to eat doesn't mean i forgive you okay?" stated Ronnie as she headed for the door but stop just where Damon was, "You are still a prick." Ronnie was not going to forgive Damon easily, she held grudges for a long time and he had a lot making up to do. As soon as Damon stepped out of her dorm Ronnie locked the door and put her keys in her coat pocket.

Stefan felt a small weight lift off his shoulders as Aria reassured him that she didn't think he would hurt her. "Well that makes me feel better," chuckled Stefan as he opened the door to leave the building, "Since you are student where is the best place to eat around here?" asked Stefan as he glanced around the area which was full of students. Stefan was he decided to take the risk and go to Aria's dorm, their friendship seemed to be slowly on the mend and hopefully nothing would stop that.

(Sorry this took so long! I've had strep throat, so I haven't been on much.)

"And I'll always be a prick," Damon hummed as a response, a grin etching its way to his features. He wasn't necessarily lying, honestly; he had always been this way. "But that shouldn't stop you from forgiving me. You were friends with me even when I was a prick before." It was a bit surprising that him being a prick was why their friendship, considering it had always been a norm for him, but he knew the real reason was because of his relationship with Elena. That was over now, though. "I'm sure you'll break and forgive me eventually. I mean, I'm irresistible, after all."
Aria was rather glad to hear that her words made him feel better, honestly, but she didn't say anything about it. She thought about his question for a moment before she let out a nervous laugh. "I honestly don't know," she said honestly before looking back at him. "I don't normally eat here, aside from the cafeteria." She usually went home to eat, because she had to go hunting right after most of the time. Mentally, she made sure to come up with an excuse to tell her parents over why she ditched hunting this time.

Ronnie glanced at Damon with a raised eyebrow and shrugged, "You keep telling yourself that Salvatore because no one else is." The small jokes and teasing was just how their friendship was before Damon ruined it, but to be fair Ronnie was not a saint in the whole friendship breaking down. If Ronnie was honest she was probably on the way to forgive Damon so what, she just didn't want to admit to herself. "I may consider forgive you a tiny bit if you pay for the food," smiled Ronnie as she opened the door to leave the halls of residence.

"I think there is a nice diner place not too far from here," mentioned Stefan, he knew about the diner he had been dragged there by Caroline once or twice. "When you came back to your dorm you were surprised to see me, I didn't interrupt any plans did I?" asked Stefan as they made their way over to the diner. Stefan felt like he might of interrupted Aria plans when he turned up at her dorm.

(Oh, that doesn't sound fun. D: Don't stress yourself!)

"Oh, that wounds me," Damon drawled, placing a hand over his heart in mock pain, though the smirk on his lips betrayed him. Lifting his shoulders in a shrug, he stuffed his hands in his jacket pockets as he followed her, turning his attention ahead, though he did occasionally glance over at her. "A tiny bit, huh? I can only imagine how many meals I'll have to pay for to make you forgive me completely. I don't mind paying, though. In fact, why don't I just compel them to think that we paid?" He grinned at that, because he did enjoy using his compulsion powers to make things easier.
Aria blinked, looking at him with mild surprise as she followed him to whatever diner it was that he was talking about. "No, not really. I was really just planning on heading home," she told him honestly, though she figured she didn't have to tell him why she would be heading home. It was probably obvious enough, now that he knew that she was a hunter and everything. She didn't necessarily want to bring it up, though, for fear of making the conversation tense. "You did surprise me, though. I didn't really expect you to show up at all."

(It wasn't fun, but it is all done now at long last XD)

Ronnie playfully rolled her eyes at Damon as she let the door shut behind them, "No compelling because knowing our luck our server will be on vervain." Ronnie was not going to let Damon get out of paying that easily as they made their way across the campus to the diner. "Anyway why are you looking for Enzo, the last I heard was that you two had a falling out or is that why you are looking for him? " asked Ronnie. Ronnie had met Enzo a few times and she could see why someone people didn't like him but Ronnie had yet to find a reason to dislike him.

Stefan nodded as he listened to Aria, "I take it you were going home to hunt," Stefan asked, it was not that hard to add up why she went home. "It's okay I am not upset or anything, I don't expect you to change or anything because of what I am," explained Stefan as they reached the diner. Stefan opened the doors and let Aria go in before him, they were quickly seated once inside. "Anyhow, moving onto a better subject, what do you want to eat? I'll pay of course," smiled Stefan.

(That's good! You didn't get too stressed out, did you?)

Damon gaped at Ronnie, though he wasn't too surprised with her decision. "You just want me to pay," he said casually, because he was pretty sure that was the case. Even if whoever the server was did end up being on vervain, he could have easily joked his way through it and he would have paid, but she didn't even want him to try. "You're starting to be no fun, Ronnie," he hummed, though he was mostly teasing her. As they walked, he lifted his shoulders in a shrug. "I guess I just want to apologize," he drawled as he opened the door to the diner for her to go in.
Aria cringed slightly when she realized just how easy it had been for Stefan to piece everything together. Chewing on her lip, she looked at him. "You know I don't like it, right? I didn't want to be involved with hunting, but my parents think it should stay a family thing," she told him quickly. Even though he said it didn't upset him, it didn't make sense to her. She hunted his kind, yet it didn't bother him? She doubted it. Sighing, she nodded at the change of subject as she moved to sit down. "Well, in that case, I'll go with a burger."
