(Sorry about the lack of updates, I've had poor internet connection all week)

"I could see you work at the Prophet, maybe editor in a few years, eh?" Fred nudged Belle a little with his elbow as a soft smile appeared on his face. "It would be cool if you could write on piece on the shop, I will make sure you are invited to the grand opening whenever it happens." Fred and George had big plans for the joke shop but the unfortunately had to wait until the end of school before they could do anything more about it. For now they would sell their items to Hogwarts Students and hopefully not get caught by the teachers. Fred then caught a whiff of whatever his mum was cooking for dinner, it smelt nice and it caused Fred stomach to rumble. "I wonder when dinner is?"

Belle smiled at Fred's words, thinking about being editor for the Prophet, "Yeah but to get there I'm probably going to have to start out as Rita Skeeter's assistant." She said and shivered lightly at the thought before she laughed. She smelled the same thing that Fred did before she stood and held out her hand, "Come on lets ask your mum if she needs help making dinner or setting the table." Belle said and pulled Fred up into a standing position.

Fred couldn't help but pull his face in disgust over the idea of Belle being Rita Skeeter's assistant, he could not think of anything worse. "Really Bell?" groaned Fred as he let Belle pull him out of his seat, he was resistant at getting up first but eventually got up out of his seat and nearly knocked into Belle caused Fred to let out a loud laugh. "Sorry Belle, nearly tackled you then, we wouldn't want that would we?" Fred then dropped his arm over Belle's shoulders and headed into the kitchen to see if his mum needed any help. "Mum do you want some help?" asked Fred as they two entered the kitchen. "If you could set the table Fred that would be great," replied his mum.

Belle laughed at Fred's words before she followed him into the kitchen, "It's alright there, Freddie. I know you're a bit of a clutz." She teased and stuck her tongue out at him. When Molly asked him to set the table, "What can I do, Mrs. Weasley?" She asked. "Oh Belle dear would you mind helping Fred? The table is a bit big for one person to set all by themselves." Molly replied. Belle smiled and nodded before she followed Fred out of the kitchen and into the dining area and helped him set the table.

Fred rolled his eyes playful at Belle as he went to the drawers to get out the things for the table. Despite magic the family always seemed to set the table like Muggles did, Fred never questioned why it was just something the family had always done. "Hey Belle any ideas on who will be the new defense teacher?" Fred and George were taking bets on who people thought it might be, "If you have any teachers in mind or an outside I am happy to take your bet?" Fred let out a laugh as he passed the place mats to Belle.

"I think honestly it's Snape's turn to get it." Belle said honestly as she walked around the table, setting places, "I mean he's waited long enough." She added as she finished, meeting Fred in the middle of the table as she looked up at him, "I know you all hate him but he's always been pretty nice to me...maybe it's because I'm really good at potions class but still. If you don't give him a reason to hate you he won't."

Fred pulled a face in disgust at Snape's name but he could see where Belle was coming from, he had been waiting what seemed like years for the position. "I suppose you are right there Belle but he still is a git and I do try at potions, me and George really do try!" protested Fred, he wouldn't admit that maybe the few pranks him and George had let off in potions put them in Snape's bad books. Fred wiped away a mark from one of the plates and set a few more places, "But who will be potions if Snape gets the Defense then?"

Belle shrugged, "I don't know Fred. A new teacher. I guess we will find out tomorrow." She said as he finished setting the table. She smiled up at him, "So my bet is on Snape. Care to take my bet?" She challenged with a smile and a sparkle in her eye, knowing it was one of the many bets the two had made in their span of knowing each other.

Fred smiled and opened up his palm to Belle, "Come on then place your bet, me and George are going to ask at dinner if anyone is willing to place some bets." Fred loved taking money from people, even Belle, but occasionally she won it back. It was fair to say Fred was a sore loser when this happened. Fred glanced over the table and smiled, the table was set and the smell coming from the kitchen told him dinner would soon be ready. "I think we did a good job Gold," added Fred as he glanced over the table once more.

Belle smirked and nodded, "Alright. I'm betting Snape gets the job. But I'm making this bet with you. Because whenever I make a bet with you and George and other people it always turns out bad because you two suck at making bets with big people. So come on then. What does the loser have to do?" She asked.

Fred mocked his offence and place a hand over his heart, "How dare you say such a thing Belle, me and George are honorable men." Fred quickly dropped the act and a smirk quickly appeared on Fred's face, "Me and George have already had a discussion about the losers punishment but it will be to stroll around seventh floor completely naked, two laps would be required." Fred then held out his hand for Belle to shake, "And I am betting outside, George is saying Dumbledore will bring an old teacher back for the position."

Belle shook her head, "I'm not going to walk around the seventh floor naked. Plus you and George always use that as the loser's punishment. Make is more interesting." Belle said with a raise of her eyebrows. She thought of a bet to be placed and her eyes quickly lit up at the thought, "I thought of one. But I don't know if you'd be brave enough to take it." She challenged, knowing Fred never backed down from a challenge.

Fred rolled his eyes at Belle distaste for the punishment. Yes, he and George had used it for nearly all their plans but it always got the best laughs. Fred was about to stop Belle but then he saw her eyes light up and he knew then she was onto something. "Brave? I am in Gryffindor house, if that doesn't say brave I don't know what does!," laughed Fred, "Go on then Belle what is your bright idea?" challenged Fred, he was curious to say the least.

Belle smirked up at Fred, "Loser has to kiss the winner." she said with a raise of her eyebrows. She knew it was a bold bet, especially between the two best friends But she knew it wouldn't affect their friendship. They had been friends for almost seven years there was no way it would affect them. Although Belle wouldn't admit it aloud but she kind of really wanted to kiss Fred. She had for a while because a part if her secretly had a crush on Fred and had for a while.

Fred couldn't help but raise his eyebrows, he was admittedly surprised by her choice of punishment if you could call it that. Fred let out a loud laugh before trying to compose himself, "Sure thing Belle, this could be interesting to say the least," he added with another laugh. Fred would never admit that maybe at times he saw Belle differently but he often quickly pushed those thoughts away. He and George had been friends with Belle for years, nothing like that would ever happen between them.

Part of Fred was really excited, it add a whole new element to the bets and maybe to their friendship, Fred was getting ahead of himself a tad. "Come on, best get a decent place at the table, mum dishing up soon," smiled Fred as he glanced at the clock on the wall.

Belle grinned at his words before she nodded and sat down at her usual spot in the middle of the big table, right next to Fred and also George. She could smell the amazing food Mrs. Weasley had cooked coming from the kitchen and Belle's mouth was practically watering.
