Abi finished getting ready for the party before she peaked out her door to make sure her parents were downstairs and not paying attention and then she casually climbed out her window and down the ladder that was on the tree next to her window. She had developed a good system in how to actually get into the tree to get down and not practically kill herself. She looked up and saw the light in Mikey's room was on and she smiled slightly before she went down the street to Cheyenne's car where it was parked and got in.

Luke sat at home and thought about Mia. He wasn't sure he should've left her alone on her first night without Sean. He pulled out his phone and texted her, Hey babe. What are you up to tonight? He sent before he flopped back on his bed. He really wished he could just tell her already but he honestly didn't want to ruin his friendship with her.

(Sorry this took so long! I've been sick with strep throat. Do you want Mikey to go to the party, too, or should I just type him as hanging out at home?)

Michael tried to let himself relax on his bed, but it only took for a slight movement outside his window to catch his attention. Standing, he made his way over and watched as Abi climbed out of her window and down the tree. Seeing that she was probably heading out to the party that she had agreed to go to, he let out a sigh and moved back to his bed, flopping down and trying to relax while he could. He knew that, eventually, she'd be climbing through his window, but that probably wouldn't be for another few hours.

Mia was mildly surprise when she heard her phone go off with a notification and she paused in the middle of packing away a few stuffed animals Sean had given her a while back. Part of her was expecting, hoping, for it to be Sean, begging for her to come back to him, but she couldn't really say that she was disappointed to see that it was Luke. In fact, she was almost relieved that it was him, and she was quick to answer, Packing up everything that Sean gave me. I might have a bon fire with it. You?

Abi and Cheyenne arrived at the party and quickly got to work on drinking and doing shots. They even played a couple games of beer pong, in which they won every game they played. After a while Abi could already feel the buzz coming on and she smiled at the thought. She danced with a few guys and some of her friends before she made her way to the kitchen to start making a stronger drink. She knew in the back of her mind she'd been calling Michael soon and asking, begging, him to come pick her up and take her back to his house so she wouldn't get in trouble with her parents. But she was leaving it to when it came time for it.

Luke read Mia's text and laughed lightly, I was wondering if you wanted to come over. You could spend the night like you used to. I'll even make a fire and you can burn the stuff the asshole gave you:D. Luke replied with a smile. He was always willing to help Mia with her problems because that's what best friends are for. He just really hoped this was the last time he had to help with a Sean problem.

Michael was beyond bored, he could admit, but he was almost used to it. Part of him wondered if his friends were right, that he should just give up on Abi, but he never could bring himself to really do so. It surprised him how much he cared about the girl when he knew that she pretty much used him to keep herself from getting into any trouble with her parents. But, the fact that she relied on him to make sure that her parents didn't find out made him feel like he actually had somewhat of a chance, no matter how small that chance might actually be. He just wished that he'd get the real chance at some point.

Mia smiled slightly at the sight of the text, rather glad that Luke had suggested it. She didn't want to be alone after the night before and the day she had today. The fact that she'd get to hang out with her best friend made things all the better. I'll be over in a bit! she texted back quickly before she moved to her closet to find something to sleep in. She figured she'd change at Luke's, so she just put it in a tote bag, grabbed the box of things that Sean gave her, and made her way out of the house (after telling her parents where she was going) and headed to his house.

Abi laughed loudly at something her friend Austin said. She looked up when she heard someone yell that the cops were there and everyone started to rush around to get out of the house without getting caught. Abi quickly went out the back door and hurried down the street before she pulled out her phone and called Michael. She hoped he would pick up because if the cops found her she was royally fucked.

Luke smiled at her text before he went and told his mum that Mia was coming to spend the night. She didn't mind since she loved Mia. Luke quickly cleaned up the living room and started a fire before turning the TV on and waiting for Mia to get there.

Michael was mildly surprised when he saw that Abi was calling already. He didn't expect her to call for another few hours, but he was quick to answer. "Did something happen?" he asked upon answering the phone. Already, he was getting off his bed and going down the stairs, car keys in hand as he waited for her to answer his question. "Where are you?"

Luke didn't live far from Mia, which the girl was thankful for, so she didn't have a problem walking there, even with the box in hand and the tote bag on her shoulder. It took her about fifteen or twenty minutes to get there and she shifted her box to one arm before knocking on the door and waiting for somebody to answer.

Abi was frantic and when Michael picked up the phone she rambled quickly in her drunken state, "Mikey! Thank God you picked up! The cops were called on the party and I really need you to come get me. I'm at the end of Danny's street like hiding from the cops that are patrolling the neighborhood for party members. Please come get me." She said, tears burning her throat from being scared.

Luke answered the door quickly when Mia knocked. He quickly pulled her inside, "You know I really wish you wouldn't walk here at night by yourself. You could be killed or something." He said. He knew she was probably fine walking the distance from her house to his but he still worried about her.

Michael frowned at the mention of it as he climbed into his car. "I'm on my way. Just stay on the phone, alright?" he told her, as he didn't want anything to happen to her. Even if the cops didn't get her, there was the chance that there might be perverts or something lurking around, especially those from the party who might be drunk. Putting the phone on speaker, he started the car and started driving. "Calm down and don't panic. If you look freaked out when cops pass by, they'll definitely stop and get you, but if you act normal, you shouldn't have too much to worry about."

Mia stared blankly at him before rolling her eyes with a slightly amused smile. "You don't live far from me, Luke," she reminded as she shifted the box in her arms and looked up at him. "Besides, walking is wonderful exercise for the lazy." Or, she figured it was better than lazy people having to run, anyways. Still, that aside, she was glad to be at Luke's place now. She couldn't remember the last time she had been there, especially to sleep over for the night. It made her feel a little guilty, but, as far as she was aware, it hadn't affected their friendship, which she was grateful for.

Abi nodded even though she knew Michael couldn't see her. She ran a hand through her hair and sat down on the curb as waited for Michael, "I'm sitting on the curb waiting for you. Mikey please hurry." She said. She sighed and thought about how Michael was so quick to come get her. She realized that he was always there for her when she needed him and she smiled slightly to herself.

Luke put his arm around Mia as he pulled her close, "Come on let's burn that asshole's shit." He said and lead her into the living room where the fire was burning bright already. He smiled, "I told you I would start you a fire." He said and took the tote bag out of her grasp and set it on the couch before he lead her to the fire.

"I'm hurrying, don't worry," Michael assured her as he drove. A few minutes passed before he got to the right place and he leaned across to the passenger side to open the door for her. "Get in," he told her with a smile, rather glad that he had gotten to her before the police could find her. There wouldn't have been a way for him to bail her out if she had gotten arrested.

Mia followed Luke with an arched eyebrow. "You seem more eager than I am to burn all of this," she joked lightly, though she tried to ignore the slight ache she felt with realizing that she was actually going to be burning everything. It was better this way, though, because it would be a step towards moving on. "Let's get to burning, then," she hummed out with a smile.

Abi looked up when a car stopped in front of her. She watched as the door opened and Mikey told her to get in, "Thank you so much, Mikey." She said when she got in the car and she hugged him tightly. She knew that if she would have been arrested she was done for. Everything would have been ruined, "I'm so lucky that I have you." She added as she put her seat belt on.

Luke shrugged, "He wasn't my boyfriend. I just want to see you done with the asshole once and for all." He said and put his arm around Mia, "You're my best friend. I'm always going to be there for you when you have to burn an ex's stuff." He stated and smiled at her. On the inside he was hoping once he got his chance she wouldn't have to ever do that again.

Michael was mildly surprised by her tight hug, but he had happily returned it. He couldn't recall ever really being hugged by her and it almost made him feel like it was a step in the right direction. "You're welcome," he said with a grin before he looked ahead of them. "You know I'm always here for you," he told her with a shrug. Once she was buckled up, he started driving home.

Mia nodded in understanding to Luke's words before she let out a sigh. "I know," she told him with a smile, "That's what makes you the best." Moving to the fire, she sat down in front of it and opened the box after setting it down beside her. "I just hope burning all of this stuff doesn't stink up your place," she teased lightly, trying to keep herself in as good of a mood as she could manage.

(So sorry!! I've been so busy with SAT's and school projects and stuff and I've had writer's block. I hope it didn't come off as I was ditching, which it probably did. I didn't mean for it to. I'll post now XD)

Abi smiled at his words before she nodded and buckled in and then stared out the window. She couldn't help but glance over at Michael. Maybe it was the fact that she had really gotten herself into this time or maybe she was just drunk but she had never been more thankful to have Michael in her life. She never realized until now how many times he had gotten her out of trouble. He never even questioned it. He just did it and it made Abi so happy that she had him.

Luke smiled and shrugged, "I don't think mum would mind. She loves you and if burning this assholes shit is what makes you happy I know for a fact she won't mind." Luke replied before he pulled her over to the fire and set the box down in front of her, "Now get to it. The sooner the asshole is out of your life for good the better."

(Ah, no worries! I had writer's block for this and, like, four other roleplays that I'm just now getting around to replying to! If you're still up for this, I can hurry up and type up a reply!)

(No worries! I've been dealing with babysitting my niece a lot, so I've been sporadic with replies, too. Good luck with softball, though! :D )

Michael couldn't help but to notice the occasional glance he got from Abi and he arched an eyebrow in curiosity. He would have looked at her, but he remained focused on the road. "Do I have something on my face?" he joked lightly, "Or is the alcohol in your system causing my face to look distorted in some way?"

Smiling slightly, Mia nodded as she got comfortable in front of the fire. "Fine, fine," she murmured before shifting to dig through the box. Eventually pulling out a stuffed bear, she stared at it. "Do you think the smell of burning teddy bear will be suffocating?" she asked and, though she was a little hesitant, she tossed it into the fire.

Abi giggled at his words before rapidly shaking her head, "No I was just realizing how much you've done for me. How you're always there for me." She said with a grin before she placed a hand on his bicep, "Thank you Mikey." She said before she looked at her hand and felt a blush come to her face. She retracted her hand and quickly looked out the window, hiding her blush. Why are you blushing? It's just Mikey. You've known him for years. She thought to herself.

Luke shrugged and laughed lightly, "Only one way to find out." He said to Mia with a smile before he nodded towards the fire. He watched as she tossed it in and smiled, "The first one is always the hardest. But know you've taken the step and you can get through this, Mia. I know you can. I'm here for you." He said and smiled at her widely.
