Adding PG-13 as the rating, since I think that's what we're all mostly agreeing on.

    Aye?

*Also, quick timezone check from everyone. (Just let me know what time zone you're in.)

    Got your timezones added.

What do you think is a good word-cap per chapter, if we go with a 24hrs to get your chapter written and submitted?

A min of 300-400? Do we want a max amount of words?

I'm in England, so my timezone's GMT.

For wordcount, maybe a few hundred for the first chapter to introduce the character, and then maybe build from there?

For how the story is set up - we can actually try the story both ways (if everyone is up for a second go after trial 1):

    1. Where each chapter is built upon from the chapter before. So pretty much how most group-writes go, where only one author can work on a chapter at a time because we're telling one continuous story. [1] [4]

    2. Where each chapter is a different perspective of one event. So many people can work on different chapters at one time and it's not too important the order we post the chapters in, then every once in a while we have a filler chapter to move the story along to a new point. [2] [3]

Maybe not a max or a min, but just a rough estimate goal? So we could say everyone aim for about 300 - 400 words per chapter (or since that was your min, we could say aim for around 500 words per chapter).

I think 200 or so for the first chapter/intro chapter would be good too.

I'm GMT (1:40am). Maybe 500 per chapter, at least?

I agree. An estimated goal of 500 words sounds reasonable.

Also, as far as plot goes, I think when we launch the 'real' site-wide, it'll probably end up being in the Fantasy/Sci-Fi genre (since that was voted highest in the poll) or Thriller/Horror (which was second highest), so if the story we do here is in that direction, that might help us to work out any kinks that might come from working specifically in those genres.

I think for the sake of the time frame, writing 500 words is ideal, because it's easier to write 500 words as opposed to 1500 when some people have work or school to attend.

Setting word goal per chapter for 500.

Let me know if you're aggressively against this.

So, are you going for the reality type TV show set in a town? Well, if we want to have it in the Fantasy or Thriller/Horror, maybe we can twist it up and have like a killer on the loose in the town? Someone dies every chapter or every other chapter or something sinister happens? And like the producers of the show won't let the people out of the town because it's good showbiz?? Hahaha, just a random thought!

What if we did a fantasy creature support group?? Where they talk about how hard it is to deal with society's portrayal of them in their films?

Nice, nice. That would honestly be very interesting to attempt. Though it might get too complicated with all the research that would have to be done.

As for genre, I like the idea of a fantasy. Maybe everyone's character can be a different fantasy species (faerie, centaur, elf etc) and all have to live together in this town for a few months?
