So it looks like only one person can add characters (otherwise the other characters added get deleted - some Mibba glitch), so since I already started with adding characters, I'll continue with that

Role-Play

To get our first chapter going, we'll need to host an RP which will be the first 'group meeting' of the characters in the half-way home. I can set up the RP, unless someone else wants to do it. Let me know as soon as possible!

Title/Summary

Once we get the role-play done, we'll be able to post our first chapter. Then we'll need an actual title and a long summary, so please start thinking of what we can call this story (even if it's just temporary) and a summary. If you have any ideas you want to throw out, feel free to just post it in this thread.

Blyme Brodim | dwarf | 220 years old



Blyme is a dwarf sorcerer from a long line of dwarven adventurers. He was admitted to the institution by his concerned family after he started displaying delusions of grandeur - he believes he is a god performing miracles. However, these 'miracles' are just simple spells - basic healing charms, illumination, and the like. Despite being there for some time, Blyme shows no signs of improvement, and is still trying to recruit more followers.

Dr. Abigail Peston is a renowned psychiatrist who volunteers her time at The Home to help its residents work their way to healthy. She helps lead group therapy sessions and, on occasion, sees The Home's residents in one-on-one sessions.

Crap, this completely slipped my mind! I'll get my character in tomorrow, but just to make sure there's only been one human character, right? Because I know it's supposed to be a mix but there seems like there's more mythical, and if so then I'll make sure to have my character human to make sure there's more than one.

Organizational Post V

RP for the Site-Wide

Hello! The RP for the site-wide trial is up and ready to go (here).

Right now, we're just trying to get that first chapter of the story going. So the start of the Rp will be the start of the first chapter.

The 'scene' here is just the residents having their first group-therapy session. We can start with brief introductions to the characters - each character just saying their names and a little about themselves, and then at the end of this first group session, the therapist will ask the characters why they're at the Home and how they've come to be there, and say something along the lines of "Who'd like to share first?" and then we start with the next chapter of the story.

The next chapter of the story will be when the authors in this group story start submitting individually written chapters - and these should, obviously, tell us what brought their characters to the Home.

We can definitely add new characters a we go along, and if authors are up for it, they can do more than one character.

As a rule of thumb though, I think if an author leaves, we should write out their character. (Since some people may not be comfortable with someone else writing for a character they created and it would also complicate crediting and stuff - BUT if someone's really keen on taking on the character of an author that left and they want to PM the author to ask for permission or the author specifically asks if someone could take on their character, then that would be fine.)
