Jettley hummed trying to tune his guitar. It was old, and not like he couldn't afford a new one. He just liked the one he had, it was something that couldn't be replaced with money and that thought satisfied him. He was a successful person, but it wasn't without work. Jett had finished his 3rd year in University freshly, making him just to 24. In fact, it was his birthday today, on a warm June afternoon. It was rare you saw a handsome young man as gifted as Jett who was as smart as he was, but Jett would trade it all if he could change things in the past. He wasn't happy with where he was, but he wasn't sad about it either. At 24, he should have some sort of idea what life he had. Now here he was, putting down his guitar and driving to the cafe. Sitting at a table, nothing special. He was going to order food for himself on his birthday. It was ridiculous, but what else were he to do. All his friends are also business partners, he had no girlfriend, all his siblings who were moderately successful had moved on and got married elsewhere. So what did he get? Well, a stock raise for one, a birthday card in the mail from his mom, sister, and his brother, plus a piece of cake. That he ordered for himself. But that's when his birthday got a whole lot better, because instead of the ratty grouchy old lady's who usually served him, a brunette obviously new on the job was walking up to his table.

    [Perfect! Sorry mine is shorter.]
Camille approached a table looking up from her pad and nearly froze in her place. The man in front of her was gorgeous and smotheringly hot. She felt the tempature in the room heat and she bit her lip. She swallowed hard and made her way to him. "Hello... can I start you off with a coffee or some water?" She asked feeling her heart rate speed up. She looked down at him flushing. Most of the men that came in here were old grumpy men that liked to grab her ass. Camie smiled softly at him her stomach clenching with with desire at his returning smile. Camie had just moved into town in the last month trying to figure out what she wanted to do with her life. When she turned 20 in March she knew she needed to get out of her small town and find herself. Camie was finding out a lot out here in California about herself. She fluttered her lashes as the man in front of her ran his eyes over her. U der his gaze she felt desirable.

    (It's okay! I understand)

He smiled at her warmly, crossing his fingers on the table slowly his undone hair grazing his forehead. "Uh, yes.." he mumbled politely like he always had, even to the rude waitresses who sometimes served him. "Coffee would be nice. With cream please." He noticed her soft creamy skin changing color, and he lost his focus thinking about what he'd do to such crisp skin like that, but when he realized she was still there he put his eyes back on her and closed his mouth to smile again. "And could I get a piece of chocolate cake?"

Camie smiled at how sweet he was. His stunning smile spread across those lips. She suddenly thought of what he could do with those lips. She wrote down the coffee her striking green eyes looking down at her pad before looking back up into his eyes. She grinned as he asked so sweetly for a peice if cake. I'll give you the who damn cake if you smile at me like that again. Her thoughts had a voice of their own and she was so glad she would never say that out loud. "Of course. Is it a special occasion or you just have a sweet tooth?" She asked softly almost tentatively as if she shouldn't ask. Camie bit the side of her plush bottom lip. She wrote the cake down her eyes never leaving his this time as if she wouldn't be able to drink them up enough before they had to part.

It was quiet as he drank her sincere look as she scribbled on the notepad. He wondered what her writing was like. When her eyes met his, and when he realized she wasn't looking away, he took the challenge and stared right back. Not like it was hard anyways. He knew she was trying her best to hide it, but her eyes were locked in. It happened to him a lot actually, but most of them didn't try to hide it. "Both." he said and laughed a little. He was having a pity party. "Are you a sweet tooth?" he asked, noticing her teeth clamping on gently on her lip. It was full, pink, soft... His thoughts trailed again. His therapist had said he had to work on that.

Camie blushed again and felt her moth drop to form into a soft oh. She felt her knees trembling as she stood there in silence for a little while. "Well... I will go grab that for you... I hope the cake will bite that sweet tooth of yours. And maybe if you feel like it you can divulge your special occasion when I return, so that I may congradulate you." She said and smiled retreating backwards bumping into an empty table. She squelled looking down at the table breaking eye contact before turning around; she was so red she that could put red to shame. Camie slipped into the back and grabbed his coffee and cake. She bit her lip as she set it on the tray. She felt like there was a weight in the pit of her belly making her even more clumbsy around this man. Her name tag was smugged and she rubbed the gold tag with her apron. Camie looked in a mirror in the back with exasperation as she grabbed the creamer. It was nearly the end of her shift and she looked like it. She was a mess and in an effort to look presentable she ran a hand through her hair before picking up the tray and holding it up as she headed back to the table. She looked up at him amazed how yet again her body reacted like it was the first time she had ever seen him. Camie set the coffee and creamer down then the cake. "Is there anyhing else I can grab for you?" She asked feeling the electricity in his presence. Camie looked down as she hugged the empty plater to herself.

Jett coughed, still smiling politely. "Okay, sounds good." He said calmly, though she didn't answer her question. She looked pretty nervous, but he was hoping she could possibly indulge with him. Oh well, he knew where she worked now. "It's nothing worth being congratulated for, though, thanks." he said, not wanting to come on too strongly. He was just being polite, as he was taught. When she started leaving, he couldn't help but feel the disappointment, but when she hit that table he leaped up on his feet ready to make a dash for it, but too late, she had regained her balance and walked away casually. Exhaling, not realizing he was holding his breath, he looked around at the semi-busy diner and sat back down. What felt like forever, she was finally back, fresh as can be setting down a neatly cut piece of cake with slick dark icing. "No, that'll be all. But if you would like, you're welcome to fetch yourself a piece of cake. It's on me." he offered. Knowing she was working and unable to eat right now, maybe she'd think of him after work when she was alone eating it. Remembering where it's from and who had given it to her. Opening the creamer, he dumped an excessive amount in and stirred in a spoonful of sugar.

Cami smiled softly. She bit her lip as she stood there wondering what he was celebrating since he never did say. When he ofered her a peice of cake she blushed. "Oh thank you." She said and nodded as he pretty much dismissed her. She casually watched him pour the creamer into his cup as she backed up. This time she turned after a few steps not to bump into the table. She smiled as she headed into the back making his check out. He was her last table for the night and she was glad. The other servers had the rest of the tables which was quite a relief because she didn't think she could be her normal self after taking care of this man. She needed some down time to think and breath. Her heart was still hammering but was slowing down the longer she was away from him. After about ten minutes she made her way out to check on him. "How is the cake?" She asked checking to see if he needed more coffee and wondering if he wanted to order something else. Maybe a peice of me. Camie blushed at her internal thoughts.

"You're welcome." He said charmingly. The cake was good, and the coffee was strong the way he liked it. Silently in his head, he laughed when he could see her make a conscious note to avoid the table. It took her 10 damn minutes before he could see her one last time before he left, he still had work to do. Man wouldn't his father be proud, if he hadn't god damned abandoned him, leaving him at only 18 to take over a large corporation. It was an impossible job, yet his son of a bitch dad did it to him. "All gone." he teased, glancing at the clean white plate that was scraped clean from icing. "Thanks." gulping down the remnants of his coffee, he pulled out an real leather Gucci wallet still smelling new and stood up beside the table as she took a step over to make some space for his tall bulky figure. It didn't come without work. Pulling out what cash he had left which happened to be a $50 and an $20, he set it down on the table gently and nodded at her. "Thanks for the excellent service and meal. Help yourself to a piece of cake for me, you need it." It was said lightly of course, but she was thin as a stick and definitely could use some meat on her. "Oh, and keep the change." He didn't ask for the bill, knowing that it would cover it all. Plus, she deserved an extra special tip. Putting on his leather jacket, he went outside and hopped into his Porsche, driving away back home to a too big house with too much room that felt too empty.

Camie giggled as he referenced his plate. She watched him gulp down his coffee thinking of what she could doo to that neck. She bit her lip. As he stood she stepped aside looking up at him. He was handsome as hell and he smelled so good. He looked down at her for only a second before he set the money down. She looked at it her jaw dropping a little bit. No one had ever tipped her like that. Camie swallowed blushing as he ordered her to eat that cake. She bit her lip watching his jacket slide onto his shoulders. She swallowed hard knowing he had to go and she would probably never see him again. She frowned at the thought. He was on the wrong side of the tracks so to say. This was a working class neighborhood at best though the managers where going to do some remodeling. She gave him a small smike before he turned to leave not even glancing back leaving a twinge of dissapointment. Camie watched him drive away in his expensive and seductive car before she went into the back. She finished up work in ten minutes and said goodbye to the only other waitress close to her age. Camie stepped out into the alley pulling her coat closer and made her way into the parking lot to her old car which ran like a charm though it looked like it wouldn't. Camie held the cake in her hand as she smiled thinking of beautiful blue eyes. She slipped into her car and locked the door knowing better than to let her gard down when she was alone.

As he drove along the freeway, he turned up the music focusing in the darkness, his annoying little brown hairs tickling his eyes. God damn he was going to go there for breakfast, lunch, and supper tomorrow. If she's working. When he parked in the garage, he shut the garage door quickly taking off his dark shoes and taking off his jacket, hanging it on an antique tree coat hanger. His house was large, the kitchen every stay at home mother dreamed of, a bedroom that could fit 10 comfortably, the largest lounge you could dream of with the nicest leather sofas and yet he wasn't fulfilled. Every night he worked, ate, slept, went to see his therapist, listened to her trying to change his past and forget his memories which wasn't happening, no way in hell. From the outside, it was what you saw. Dark, gloomy, but a nice young man who was wealthy. Why couldn't people see past him? Ladies flirted, but he couldn't go in a relationship since his last one. He couldn't allow himself too. He wasn't a worthy partner, just meant to live alone with too much money. He didn't bother to shave the last week since his work was hectic, and he hadn't even stopped in his office today. A large skyscraper dedicated to Kaiden Corporation with 20 floors all dedicated to his fathers work. It was an shame. Who fucking cared about computer technologies, and publishing centers. They founded many things, but he would trade it all for one thing. Taking off his shirt, he threw it in his laundry basket where his maid would come and fetch it tomorrow, taking off his jeans and throwing them with the shirt before climbing into his luxurious bed neatly done with satin sheets and the finest pillow. Turning off the night lamp he closed his eyes and prepared himself for the insomnia to come.

Camie walked into her tiny and dingey apartment and sighed. She pulled her shoes off her acheing feet and walked to her kitchen pulling out a glass of milk. She sat at her counter eating the luxurious cake and drinking milk. He was a beautiful man with sad eyes and she wondered why he was so sad. She hated that she had to work tomorrow during the dinner rush and until closing. Camie yawned as she finished her cake. She washed her dishes and left them to dry heading to her bathroom. She cleaned up and pulled on her pjs. Camie was tired and as her head hit the pillow she had time for one last thought of that man before she was out.

Of course when Jettley woke up cold and shivering, he had maybe only gotten 3 hours of quality sleep before his iPhone rang. He squinted the contrast hurting his eyes. Groaning, he saw it was Alicia, his office assistant. "What." he growled angrily. Normally in his professional state he would never talk like this to anyone involved with his business life, but Alicia had worked with him since he was 18 and understood his morning mood. His morning mood was never good. "Bad night?" Alicia sighed loudly on the other end when Jett refused to respond. "Can you make it to the office? Mr. Salinger made a proposal, he'd be willing to offer 13 million for 0.9% revenue." Jett sat up and ran a hand through his hair. "I'll be there. Thank you Alice." he said, his mood simmering as he got out of bed stripping what was left. Last night was bad. His pillows were strewn on the floor, even to the other end of the room and the last remaining sheet curled miserably at the bottom of his feet, where he most likely had been kicking. It was 10am and he was starving. Mariana was working today thankfully, she always made him breakfast. Hopping in for a quick shower, he shaved and combed his hair nicely, a big difference from yesterday which he considered his day off.
Instead of an old tshirt he put on a clean white dress shirt and buttoned it before putting on a dark black vest and put on a matching tie slipping on a tux jacket and dress pants. His dress shoes were already laid out outside of his room. Walking into the large empty expanse of a delicious smelling kitchen, Mariana's smile lines dented in while she was mixing pancake batter and frying eggs at the same time. She was an older Latina lady who had also been working with him since he was 18 and the most defined smile lines you'd ever see. "Good morning sir." she said a slight accent hinting. Dipping his head politely he walked out to the large window that nearly covered the whole wall with a great view. "Thank you for breakfast but I've got to head Mariana. Help yourself." he offered, slipping both hands in his pockets before taking a deep breath and heading out. He'd stop in the cafe for breakfast today, and hopefully see her there or someone equally as good. After he parked, he felt a little strange in his tuxedo while everyone else was casually dressed. No one knew he had a business meeting. It was amusing to him, and he smiled sitting down in the same booth as yesterday. They were busy today, but when an ratty lady with grey hair twisted in a tight bun came over with a notepad, Jett knew he was already disappointed. "How can I help you sir." she said with no emotion. "Coffee please, and poached eggs with bacon well done." he said looking to his right where a window was perfectly placed. He thought of the unknown girl from yesterday, he thought of his sister, his business, Mariana, Alicia, because when he wasn't thinking his thoughts always brought him back there. Thankfully his coffee came fast and as he was drinking it his mind drifted away elsewhere away from where it knew it wasn't supposed to go.

[Haha long is good idk if i can give you that muh in return is all]

Camie woke in the afternoon her head aching and her body tense from sleep. She got up and stretched out before getting prepared for work. She pulled on a large shirt leaving her uniform on the chair while she sat down and read. It was lonley in this little apartment and there really wasn't much she could do so she had picked up reading. She was often at the public library because she didn't have the money to buy her own books besides if she had money she would spend it on something else. Honestly she wanted to be outside with people or alone in nature. Camie wanted to see thw world. Time stretched on til 4 and she pulled on her uniform and headed to work clocking in at 5. Right away she was thrown into the predinner rush. As she passed by the booth of that strange and dashing man she smiled almost sad knowing he wouldn't come back.

By the time he was done eating and paid, Jett had already made his way to his large office ringing in the elevator. Everyone greeted him politely and he did so back. Not long after a flustered looking Alicia frowned and sped walked up to him. "H-he's waiting in the conference room." she said. Jett saw him, but couldnt concentrate. They shook hands and sat, respectively discussing for what felt like a year before he was able to get out of the office room. It was already 7 by the time the meeting was done, and his phone was ringing non stop. His pilot had let him know the repairs on his helicopter were finished, his therapist to see if he was still coming in monday, his psychologist also asking if he was coming in Wednesday, a couple business calls, a text from Alicia letting him know that income was fast. What was a man like Jett to do with $20,000 an hour. He just wanted to sit down, get Mariana to make him supper, and vocalize. He wanted to be by himself. Getting in his car, Jett drove towards his beautiful 10,000 sq ft flat, but found himself turning back towards the diner, and not long after he was in the parking lot gripping the steering wheel with sweaty strong hands. What the hell was he doing here.

Camie bounced around the resturant taking orders, filling drinks and bringing out food. The managers were impressed with her. She was young energetic and fast... well faster then the older women working there. She was surprised when they pulled her aside. "Camille when we close for remodeling we are lettiing some people go which means we will need new staff. We want you to be the one in charge of hiring. Please remember we are trying to change the atmosphere in here from a Dennys to a down town night lounge feel yes?" Camie nodded and bit her lip thinking that she just got a promotion. She walked back out onto the floor and finished up a table leaning over to clear it off. It's his table. Why does it make my knees quake? Camie felt a sharp sting on her bottom left by someone slapping her ass. She stood ridged and turned her stare dangerous and soon put the old man in his place but only momentarily. He chuckled with his friend talking about her as she stood right there finishing the table and picking up her bussing tray. What she didn't know was there was about to be another slap.

He was drinking coffee again, but he didn't feel like eating. But then his blank blue gaze found her and he cocked his head slightly curiously wrapping his large hand around the plain mug. She bent over to clear the table, and Jett counted to 10 slowly, exhaling and inhaling like his therapist taught and closing his eyes. His thoughts weren't going there. When he finished counting to ten silently, his dark lashes flickered up just as a sharp sound came out of no where. Someone had just slapped her ass. His face turned red, his muscles clenched as he grinded his teeth vigorously, and he stood up lean and broad flattening his suit. "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!?" he shouted stomping towards their table his heart pounding. He could just hear his therapists voice in his head as he grabbed the old mans collar and pulled him up. Count to ten and walk away... Inhale, exhale...But it wasn't going to work. "Well.." Jett laughed shoving him back in the booth. "You sure as hell ain't Jettley Kaiden, owner of a billion dollar business are you? You make that move again and I can get you thrown in jail with a snap of my finger you piece of shit." Jett took a deep breath not even taking a moments second to register the look of the old mans face and moved around the gaping mouths of everyone else in the diner as he thew open the door and slammed it shut calmly walking back to his car now. When he got it, he locked the doors and put his face on the steering wheel. His head hurt from anger and as he counted to ten for the third time he still felt like he would pass out. Come on Jett, breathe... but when he couldn't, he gasped and pulled out his phone ready to call his doctor on speed dial heaving for air. What he saw was so disgusting and sparked so many memories he could have beat the shit out of that man.

Camie set the tray down as she heard the souting. She looked up to see him and the old man looking frightened as hell. When he whipped out of the store she stood there a second taking it in. Jettley... the name sounded wonderful in her mind. She bit her lip and after a little while she walked out to the expensive car. He looked so good in a suit it brought thoughts to her mind she needed to forget. Camie tapped gently on the window her heart hammering hard as she looked in his window. He looked really upset and he had over reacted for not even knowing her and yet she was greatful. When he looked at her she stilled her belly clenching deep inside. She tried to slkw her breathing because it was making her light headed. When the door was open she bit her lip. "Are you okay?" She asked softly her eyes filled with concern. She knew anyone in that room would no longer touch her and somehow that made her feel safe with this man.

On his 10th set of 1...2...3...4..., Jett finally got a good breath. A gentle knock on his window brought his alert to the waitress. Unlocking the door, he put on a calm face and sighed, turning off his phone so she wouldn't see. He didn't like sharing these types of information to peope, not even his sister or mom knew. "Are you okay?" he asked, completely dismissing her question not wanting to answer. It had been a long time since he saw eyes that sincerely cared for him. His mother was still holding grudges, as was the rest of his family and yet here was someone who had the most beautiful green eyes asking if he was okay, and he didn't deserve that question.
