hold me; closed role-play.

  • I shouldn't say it, but I'm starting to think I care
I've had a drink, you probably think my judgement is impaired
And it's getting late now, we're a long way from our homes
Before you leave, before you grieve, there's one thing you should know

When you hold me, when you hold me in your arms
Oh when you hold me, yeah I can feel your heart
When you hold me, when you hold me in your arms
Oh when you hold me, yeah I can feel your heart beating

Suddenly I'm standing on a treetop up so high
And all the songs, and all the poems, suddenly they're right
And I'm dumbfounded by the breadth of your self control
But I don't care 'cause you're here, and you and I both know.

  • Taylor stared out of the window of his dad's car, watching the trees pass as they entered a little suburban neighborhood that looked like the perfect setting for a family movie. He hated that he had to move away from his home in the city just because his dad wanted to be with some woman he'd only known for like a year. In his mind, a year wasn't even enough time to even think about proposing. Then again, he wasn't the long relationship type of guy. He had commitment issues, and had, ever since the day the 'D' word came up. Divorce. And now his dad was shoving another woman onto him like she could just automatically take the place of his mom like his real one meant nothing anymore. She wasn't dead, she was still alive, she just rarely visited anymore. But she still existed. At least in his life.

The teenager was brooding, something he had been doing since he was burdened with the news. He hoped it would make his mother change her mind, but of course she was too absorbed in her own happiness that she chose to ignore her selfish son. "It isn't fair," Shiloh huffed, his thin arms crossed over his chest as he shuffled his sock-clad feet against the carpet that his mother was hurriedly trying to vacuum clean. Ever since it was decided that his mother's new boyfriend would be moving in Shiloh's mom had been on a cleaning spree - it was absolutely exasperating. "What was that dear?" Shiloh puffed out his cheeks childishly at his mother's aloof reply. Was she really going to play oblivious? A small part of the lilac haired teen was content with the fact that his mother finally found happiness, but he didn't want anything to change. He preferred it just being him and his mom - it had been that way since his father walked out on them. "Dad has only been gone for like a year, or two." He continued with a soft whine, this causing his mother to scoff at her son's antics. "Try more like five, sweetheart." Turning the vacuum off she pursed her lips and looked towards the home's entrance, "Did you hear a door?" She asked, her voice rising an octave with excitement.

"Be a good boy and greet them." His mother pleaded giving his shoulder an affectionate pat as she passed him, heading towards the stairs and muttering something about having to get ready. With an overly exaggerated eye-roll Shiloh dragged his willowy legs to the front door, "Because I just ooze hospitality." He frowned as he unlatched the door and pulled it open just enough so he could stick his head out. Before speaking he took in the appearance of both of the men, "You guys need help with your bags or something?" His voice was soft, but thankfully carried across the small lawn. He sincerely hoped his invitation would be declined - after rolling out of bed he didn't bother with getting dressed and was currently only wearing a loose sweater and his snug boxers briefs from the night before, he didn't particular fancy venturing out into the cold to help two strangers he didn't want in his home in the first place.

    [ I hope this is alright~]

  • Taylor looked up, raising an eyebrow as he spotted a boy with bright hair. He saw people in the city that looked different like that all the time, but in a neighborhood like this? It was unusual. He shook his head. "No, we got it," he said before his father could reply. He grabbed his two bags and walked to the door, looking over the boy and clearing his throat. "Um, where's my room?" he asked awkwardly. He really just wanted to go to his room and lock himself in there until he felt it was okay to come out. Which, really, would be never. It would never be okay. Giving up his life just for his father's girlfriend was not okay. Now he'd be the new kid, he'd have no friends, and he had to share a house with another boy and a woman he had no intention of getting to know. Perfect.

Though Shiloh resented the idea of bracing the bitter air, he still wasn't expecting to be brushed off as if he were insignificant. Obviously his dear brother had not been taught about first impressions. "Cool," He responded, his words a soft scoff as he shuffled back from the entryway, giving the father and son more room to enter - despite the fact that he would have preferred to simply close it and not grant them passage, unfortunately he really doubted his mom would be down for that. "Um," Was his initial response as he glanced towards the stairway - his mother's quick return becoming nothing but a fleeting hope. "Want me to show you?" He questioned, rubbing awkwardly at the back of his neck. The teen wasn't exactly know for stellar directions, he was better at showing - with his lack of expertise the stranger would probably end up in the guest bathroom; something he doubted the boy, quite attractive boy, would fancy.

[ I'm sorry for the delay in response. I've been quite busy with school and what not. Arms]

  • [It's totally okay. Cute]

Taylor looked at the boy and raised an eyebrow. He wanted to say some snarky reply about who else would, seeing as the woman was clearly busy doing other things. But he kept it to himself. "Yeah," he mumbled. He already hated this. He hated it so much. He wanted to go back home to their two-bedroom apartment in the middle of the bustling city, where he could just walk a few blocks down to see his friends at the basketball court. But now he was stuck here, and he was just hoping that maybe their parents wouldn't get along after moving in together, and they would split up again. That would be fantastic.
