Jaguar ran through the forest, not really caring where he was going but just wanting to burn off some steam. The younger vampires were beginning to get on his nerves. In his 647 years, he thought he had seen it all but their stupidity was beyond all he had ever encountered before. Jaguar was jolted out of his musing when a delicious scent hit his nose. It was spiced with youth but still sweet. Running toward it, he spotted a girl, vergining on womanhood and without a second thought, he attacked. He ran toward her and wrapped his arms around her. Before the girl could even scream he sank his teeth into the girl's beautiful neck, while he dove into her mind to quiet the terror that was running through her. He continued to drink until there was nothing left before laying the body down gently against a tree. Running his hands over her face, he shut her eyes before laying a kiss to her forehead. "You were delicious love," he whispered before resuming his run with a satisfied feeling in his stomach. Maybe the younglings weren't that bad.
Aubrey looked out of the castle were she was being kept....held prisoner was a more accurate term. All younger vampires were expected to stay within the walls until they could control themselves so that they wouldn't go on a rampage. Some believed that it was merciful toward the humans but Aubrey knew the only reason was to make sure there were enough humans around for everyone. Sighing, she looked around. She hadn't had an incident where she lost control in nearly two years so night she decided to go out with or without permission. Turning toward the window. she slid it open and moved stealthily out and down. Her feet hit the ground, barely making a noise before she was off. Running through the forest filled her with a sense of freedom that the castle had taken away. She grinned as laughter bubbled up past her lips. Smiling happily, she was so lost in her new found freedom that she didn't know there was someone else there until she ran into them. She hit the ground and groaned softly before looking up and her eyes widened. Maybe the castle wasn't so bad.

Darcy was having trouble staying quiet. This was her first actual hunt and, despite the years of training, she was unsure if she would be able to everything she had learned. She was nervous and that was never a good thing when you were on a hunt. As it was, she had just barely passed the test that got her out here in the first place. She stilled when she stepped on a branch. At this rate, her group would make so much more progress if she were not there. Which wasn't that bad an idea. If she could prove she could make it on her own, maybe she wouldn't be such an embarrassment? One could hope. She glanced around a bit confused. Apparently her group felt the same way because they were no where to be seen. She only hoped she could find her way back. A deep breath and the drawing of one silver tipped arrow later and she started making her way through the dark as quick as she possibly could.
Mikal had been lost for a few days now. After losing his parents to a vampire attack he had set out on his own. He tread lightly, doing his best to keep to the shadows. He didn't have a chance to find a place to stay for the night and had become an issue. He kept a hand on the stake attached to a holster on his left thigh. Additionally he had a bow and some arrows and a pistol that wasn't the best stop and he used more for killing rabbit for food in the daylight. At night, the sound just brought more trouble. He was caught off guard when something knocked into him. He had the stake out and poised to kill in a moment. He was almost positive the woman on the ground was a vampire, but there was always the chance that she was human. "Who are you?" He asked in a hushed tone, his eyes narrowed.

Jaguar felt someone around him but chose to ignore them until he felt an arrow trained on him. “You can come out little one,” he said softly into the night. “I know that you are there and I can hear you,” he said as he turned to look at the tree that the hunter or huntress was watching from. He would guess huntress by the smell of her but you can never be too sure with these things. There had been many a time when he had guessed wrong. Continuing to wait and watch, he sighed and began to relax as he moved to the other side of the clearing that he found himself in. “I don’t have all day and my patience is running thin,” he said. “You aren’t very experienced at this are you?” he asked curiously. A more mature hunter would have already taken at least a warning shot or something but still…nothing, he thought as he sighed again.
Aubrey flinched when she saw the stake come out and she began to crawl away from the man. “My name is Audrey,” she whispered softly as she watched him closely. “I’m sorry I ran into you, I wasn’t paying attention,” she said. She bit her lip gently and looked up at him. He really was an amazing human, she thought to herself but then again, so was she, that’s why they turned her. Pushing herself up slowly, she continued to move backwards away from the man and coincidentally, the stake. “I’ll just be going now. I didn’t mean you any trouble,” she said as she continued to move away with her hands raised in front of her. “It was nice meeting you, sorry again for running into you,” she said as she turned to begin to run off, hopefully never to see the clearly vampire hunter again. This is why people shouldn’t leave the castle she thought angrily to herself.

It wasn't long before Darcy declared herself lost. It was so dark she had no idea where she was going. She hated this. How was she a) going to find her way home and b) going to prove that she was worth her salt as a hunter. She decided her best course of action was to climb a tree and hope to God that she could get a better idea of where she was. She was in luck because the first thing she saw was a familiar clearing. It wasn't far from her village. She was down the tree as quick as she could and drew an arrow on the off chance she did find a vampire. With her luck though, it would be a harmless owl and she would still think it one of the dead. However, it really must have been her lucky day because she did spot one on the other side of the clearing. Darcy followed it with the arrow trained on its chest until she got a clear shot. She hesitated at the order but thought it would give her a better chance at actually hitting its cold, dead heart. She too a few steps into the moonlight, hew eyes trained on the vampire, and the rest of her senses sort of focusing on everything else.
Mikal stood there for a while after the vampire had disappeared. He was confused as to what exactly had happened. She was the weirdest damned creature of the damned he had ever come across. It didn't even try o attack. If he hadn't stalled, he was sure that she would have let him kill her. He shook it off and climbed the nearest tree. He needed to sleep and he doubted he would be seeing the girl anytime soon, not after she ran off the way she did. He shook his head once more before tying his legs to his chosen branch. He sat as still as he possibly could listening for the sound of the animals. It was that sound that usually calmed him enough for him to fall asleep. Tonight, however, he could not find himself being able to find sleep. His mind was still stuck on that poor excuse for a vampire. He still couldn't understand why it didn't try to attack him. That just wasn't natural. Not that the vampire itself was natural.
