Ada sighed as she sat in the dump of the orphanage. She knew she should be more respectful of the home the wizards had given her since her parents had died and no one knew who they had been. She stood up off of her crappy bed and got dressed for the day. She dressed like this. Except she didn't have a phone or headphones and her clothes were a bit worn out from her wearing them so much. She passed Draco and rolled her eyes as he glared at everything around him. She muttered something before going to the field she usually went to when she wanted to be alone. She sat down and looked up towards the sky and sighed as she closed her eyes and fell back on her back loving the feel of the sun on her tired skin. She brushed stray strands of brown hair away from her face. She had natural highlights from being in the sun so much.

Draco had to admit he hated everyone in that damn Orphanage and it was his parents fault he was there in the first place. Actually, it wasn't. They had done nothing wrong in his opinion. It was the council. They had said to "rehabilitate" him he had to help out. He wore all black and had a tie and shirt loosely fitting on him. He walked in and went to find the person in charge of him for the day, which was going to be Sarah today. He rolled his eyes. She was way to happy go lucky for his opinion. "Filthy mudbloods." He muttered under his breath. It really wasn't his fault he was completely like this. His family hadn't exactly been the most supporting of good natured people. He actually turned out better than expected.

James ran his fingers through his hair as he walked through Diagon Alley. People didn't realize the pressure of being the Chosen One's first born. He was expected to do well in school and excel in Quidditch. All of his teacher stood over him, waiting for the moment that he caused mischief. Which out of the three expectations was the only one that he was decent at. He hated school and found no appeal in Quidditch and yet he found himself on the team every year. Sighing, he shoved his hands in his pockets and headed toward the field that was about a mile behind the orphanage. At least there, there was no one who would judge him. He walked before stopping, seeing someone already there and he sighed again. “Great,” he muttered under his breath but he kept walking. Sitting down a little ways away form the girl, he leaned back and looked up at the clouds. Here, he was free, he thought.

Sarah looked around the orphanage and sighed softly. Running her fingers through her hair, she pulled it up into a ponytail and out of her face. She knew that it wasn’t the best place but she was doing the best that she could. Seeing Draco glaring at everyone, she growled under her breath. But she had given up fighting with him a long time ago. “Could you start dinner or something to make yourself useful?” she said as she passed him, casting spells to do the laundry and cleaning before checking on the younger kids and going to her office to start paperwork. This wasn’t what she had in her mind when she said that she would run the orphanage but there was no turning back now, she just wished that someone, anyone would at least pretend that she was doing a halfway decent job. Sighing again, she looked at the bills in front of her and began counting out how many loans she would have to take out this time, she had already gone through all of her savings in the past year.

Ada ran a soft hand throughout her brown hair. She looked up and saw a boy there. She didn't know who he was and rather didn't care honestly. Seeing him sit down, she went back to staring at the clouds. She didn't realize she had been sitting in a pile of dandelions and now she had yellow all in her beautiful hair. She looked up at the clouds once more and was surprised to see rain clouds. She got up and called out to the boy, "If you don't want to get wet, I suggest you leave!" She pointed at the clouds and then went towards the trees and sat down on a higher up branch and gazed out at the land. She didn't mind rain, and knew she would dry off quick. She hadn't gotten her wand yet, but she had been reading books about spells and knew about magic and knew she was a wizard. Her grey eyes gazed at the land wishing she could just leave, but she knew she couldn't. She sighed and pulled her knees to her chest lightly and wrapped her arms around her knees.

Draco sighed hearing her and said, "That's a rude way to ask someone for help." He then took off his jacket and hung it up on a rack before getting his wand out. He made the pot go over the fire and made water go into it. He then chopped up some vegetables and managed to get them in the pot. He chopped up some meat as well and tossed it into the pot. He seasoned the stew and started to stir it. She didn't like him using much magic to make the food so he had been told to chop up the actual food and then stir it with his hands. He sighed knowing he wanted to use magic. He heard a child crying and walked over just to make the infernal crying stop. He picked him up gently rolling his eyes and handed him his toy back. The kid giggled and hugged him. Draco rolled his eyes and muttered something before going back to the stew.

James looked at the girl and nodded his thanks at her warning before looking back up at the sky. The clouds were darkening but it was nothing that he couldn't handle. Sighing again, he thought back to the moment that had caused him to run away. Like always, he was being lectured for not being studious enough and disappointing the family name. He ran his fingers through his hair and tried to figure out in his head, when it had become his responsibility to uphold the family name. It seemed like Albus was the perfect child, why couldn't James just give the responsibility to him. That would make life a hell of a lot easier for everyone. The rain started to fall but he continued to lay there, feeling the rain soak through his clothes and turn the dirt he was laying on into mud. It felt good against his skin although he will probably get hell for it very soon from his parents.
Sarah watched Draco interact with the kids and she allowed a soft smile to grace her lips. He wasn't as scary as people believed and for some reason, the younger kids loved him. Biting her lip gently, she walked into the kitchen. "I'm sorry I snapped at you. The bills are due tomorrow and I'm a little stressed," she said as way of explanation. "Is there anything I can do to help or anything?" she asked curiously as she watched him make the stew. Looking down, she smiled as Wes came up and demanded to be picked up. Reaching down, she scooped him into her arms and smiled gently. "Hello there," she said with a smile as she poked his nose gently. The little boy giggled and laughed as she continued to play with him before she glanced over at Draco and blushed slightly. "Sorry," she said softly as she set Wes down. "So anything that you need?" she asked.

Ada watched from the tree. She noticed he seemed upset and tilted her head as she watched him just lay there as the rain came down. She stood in the tree gently and went forward a bit but slipped. She winced as she came crashing to the ground. She made a small sound in her throat. Her knees were now scratched to hell and back and her arms were as well. She watched as they started to bleed and knew Sarah was going to kill her for getting hurt again. She winced once more and felt the rain soaking into her clothes and then into her hair and made it impossible for Ada to see anything since her hair fell all over into her face. She pushed it away from her face and tried to stop the bleeding but couldn't since it was raining. She turned her grey eyes up at the sky and almost wanted to scream. She winced at her knee once more. She realized there was glass from the ground stuck in it and bit her lip because it was starting to look rather serious like she would need stitches serious.

Draco didn't like to seem like he cared since he didn't! He honestly didn't want to admit that he did to anyone, or to himself, but he did care for these kids. Even Ada which irritated him to hell and back. She thought because she was only ten years younger than him she could do whatever she wanted. He muttered under his breath. He heard Sarah and looked up glancing up at her. "It's fine." He said shrugging. "I'm used to being snapped at." He shook his head hearing her and said, "no." He looked down at Wes and snuck him a piece of carrot and made a face at the drooling kid. "Ew." He said almost laughing. He went back to the stew and stirred it before sprinkling a bit of pepper in it to season it a bit more. He watched her and noticed her blush nad once more shrugged. "Nope" He said.
