Nadie looked out the window as she drove. "Just a little while longer," she said over to the little boy sitting in the car seat behind her. They had been driving for what seemed like forever but was only really a couple of days. She sighed happily when she saw the Welcome to La Push sign and smiled. "Welcome home," she said to herself. It was only a couple more minutes until she got to the house that she had decided to rent from the tribe council for the time being. Climbing out, she walked to the back seat and let her son climb out before she shut the door. "Hold on bugger, I'm coming," she laughed as she followed him toward the house. "Welcome home," she said as she opened the door and let her son run in. Looking at her watch, she smiled gently, the movers should be here in half an hour while the council said they would send over some people to help move at 4.
Edward sighed softly to himself as he looked over at his siblings. They were all thinking about the same thing. It had been about forty years since they had last lived in Forks and gone to Forks High School and yet not much had changed in all that time. It still felt the same. Driving into the parking lot, Edward parked his beloved Volvo and climbed out, waiting for Alice and Jasper to get out before he locked the door. "What is this? Like our 100th first day?" Emmett asked under his breath and all of the siblings cracked a smile before heading inside. By this time, the stares and looks of lust barely registered to Edward, what did register was the graphic pictures that people came up with and he let out a shudder. Alice laid a hand on him as her face displayed her sympathy and he shrugged. "Nothing new,' he muttered under his breath as he tried to block them out and walk toward the office.
